I took the online class. Very easy. Tests are open book and as long as you have the book and read the chapters you can do very well on the midterms and final. The essays are the only part that take a decent amount of effort, but aren't a big deal.

Professor Seyedin was very clear in her directions and requirements for the course. If you follow her syllabus and keep up with the homework and reading, there is no reason for you not to receive an A in this course.

Online: be prepared to learn it all urself, has powerpt present but only semi helpful. easy to do as long as you read and do the hwk you should be fine. slightly anal about following the syllabus and office hrs, but still helpful - just takes a few days

Dr. Seyedin is the greatest professor ever. She is very helpful and truly caters to her students. It is the laziest, and most unmotivated students who have a problem with her. She goes out of her way to make sure we understand everything.

Like any online class, there is a lot of self-learning involved but Seyedin makes it easier because of her clear directions and fair grading policy. I would recommend her to anyone.

The syllabus made Dr. Seyedin's expectations very clear and she offered many extra credit opportunities which made it easy to get a good grade for anyone willing to put a bit of effort in the class. That it was online presented an extra challenge, but she is mindful of the challenge and very fair.

I took Dr. Seyedin's class to polish my business skills and to increase my understanding of marketing. I have been in the work force for five years. The teaching was excellent and I learned much more than I expected. It has definitely helped me on my job and prepared me for more senior roles.

Really easy course, everything is all laid out for what you do in the class. No regular homework assignments. Some extra credit. 1 research project. Tests are open book, and aren't that hard.

Excellent teacher. She gives out a total of about 8-10% extra credit, so put full effort into the class and you are guarenteed atleast B. The Hw, Quiz's and exams are very straight forward. The class becomes harder as it progresses so watch out.

I took her 1A online. I normally dont have difficulty learning via online courses but this class is hard to take via internet. She does offer lots of extra credit and all online tests are open book. It can be an an easy A if you put the work into it. There is one big project due, but all the answers can be found on the internet.

.you had better know how to do computations with EXCEL because half the homework is in EXCEL. And you exams are submitted in EXCEL. I have not had EXCEL and do not use it in my work so I dropped the class which I am frustrated about because I think she's a good teacher but I am going to either take EXCEL first.

Probably the hardest class I've taken so far. I'm honestly retaining/learning practically nothing because the material and the book is so confusing.

I enrolled in her online class. The syllabus was very detailed and clear. I found some of the test questions to be slightly off what the text covered, but was overall reasonable. You DO need to stay on top of the work and readings to do well in the class. Extra credit is abundantly available, which allows for a fairly easy A in the class.

Highly recommended for student who want to prepare for 4-year University, and the highly competitive business world. A lot of homework in this class, but then it's the best way to learn Accounting. Practice. So I would say skip if you are just looking to get over the GE requirement, but take her if you want to be in better shape before transfer.

Out of all the classes I've taken, Dr. Seyedin's had the most clear and organized syllabus. This made the class-work very easy to plan and do. She also provides an abundance of extra credit, but also a lot of homework,which is necessary for learning and is not that hard if you take the time to figure it out on your own. Lectures need improvement.

This class is meant for those students that care about their learning experience. Dr. Seyedin is extremely helpful, and will go the extra mile to help her students succeed. The class does demand a lots of time because of the amount of homework but it is the only way to learn accounting. As far as excel there are only three excel assignments.

She is successful at teaching students of vastly differing abilities & I appreciated that. She gave me gd advice when I had problems with my courses. She could not been more caring or generous.

Dr. Seyedin is one of the best professors I've had at Foothill. She follows the text but uses her own simple examples to illustrate the acct principles. A real plus for me is that she uses her own lectures - doesnt simply rely on slides from the publisher. I found her very available and helpful. Definitely a great start for my accounting career.

Tests are straight forward, but around 10% of the questions are tricky. Don't be thrown into a panic of the tricky questions, she offers more than 30 points extra credit out of 440. Not only do you have to know the double entries, but you also have to know the fundamental knowledge. Let say, what is the order in preparing the financial statements.

Super nice, always encouraging participation and questions, which makes the class better since you she makes you feel comfortable. Tests are hard, but there is a lottt of extra credit. Very enthusiastic about accounting and explains very well.

I took this class online and barely scraped by with an A and I also did almost all the extra credit available (didn't do the tutoring extra credit). This class requires a lot of time (about 4 hours+ a week; she actually expects you to study at least 2 hours a day for this class)). Don't slack off!!!!!!

I took the online class with Dr. Seyedin. To get an A, you need to invest 3 hrs a day between studying the textbook, doing homework, participating in class discussions on Etudes, and doing practice tests on My Accounting Lab. Take advantage of the extra credit! I had a great experience being in Dr. Seyedin's online class.

I had the pleasure of having dr seyedin for all 3 classes. She is incredible and very understanding. A lot of extra credit opportunities to boost your grade up. The midterms and finals are not the easiest but all come from the textbook. Study hard and make the effort to get an A, and you definitely will! She is brilliant, take her if you can!

I like Dr. S and she's very excited about ACTG, but a few things rubbed me wrong. She stresses fair opportunities to all, but I think a few were getting sweetheart deals with regards to attendance and projects for her in-person class. Study-time was exaggerated and she gives more than enough extra credit to get an A, but the final was hard!

I took Accounting 1A and 1B with Dr. Seyedin. Her classes are very interesting and she provides a lots of opportunities for extra credit. She is a really great professor, gives a lot of information at class, but you also have to read chapters, do homework.

If you need to take 1A-C, I recommend Dr. S. Even if you are new to the subject, there's plenty of ramp-up time to get used to the pace and her expectations. I only took accounting to understand my own mess of finances. Dr Seyedin's online class was so user friendly and educational I ended up continuing to a BS, studying for CPA. I took online 1B with Mrs. Seyedin. EASY A but you will still learn a lot. There is a LOT of extra credit available and the midterm/final are very fair and not too hard. If you understand the online HW you will do fine on the tests. Overall, I definitely recommend Mrs. Seyedin.

Okay, so this class I passed with a 94% because I took all the extra credit assignments. There are a lot of extra credit assignments, just by completing the homework but the tests were challenging. You definitely need to love being in front of a computer because that's how I passed, a lot of practice. I'm taking this class in person next time.

I regret not completing the extra credit soooo much.... I had an 88% SO CLOSE. The tests are tricky but just study. Somehow I did 100x better on the final than the 2 midterms (I got an A) AND DO THE EXTRA CREDIT. That's my biggest regret right now :(

Class was very straightforward. HW is the bulk of extra credit w a few other extra credits, and she gives ALOT of extra credit, almost enough to raise your grade by an entire letter. Midterms and Final is pretty tough so if you understand the hw and readings, you should do okay. DO THE HW. Lots and lots of extra credit to be given.

Dr. Seyedin is perfect! She has both Intelligence and a Heart. I really admire her. Also, she is perfectly elegant Inside and Outside. Especially for accounting majors, she helps them a lot. Take Dr. Seyedin! I will admit, I was a little intimidated by the massive syllabus at first (8 pages?!), but once you get into the swing of how things work it's a breeze. I wish she offered Acct1B online next quarter, I would totally take her again!!!

This was a required class for me but I really came to enjoy accounting thanks to Dr. Seyedin. I took the online version of this class and MLM makes it very clear what you need to do next. Please be aware that the final is a group project. Keep up on the reading and don't skip the extra credit!

I'm so relieved that I finished accounting, extra credit helps so much in seyedins class. Group presentations was a huge was of time imo, would've rather spent that time reviewing final. Concepts hard to learn near end of quarter

She is perfect! She is admirable, intelligent, knowledgeable and elegant. She is the best accounting professor! As a human, she is respectful. She respects students and she helps students out of her way. Also, she is very beautiful. I hope she can teach more advanced courses.

I took an online course and it was well organized, straightforward and very manageable. It was pretty easy for me, but I had alot of accounting experience already so the materials mostly wasn't new to me. She answered emails quickly and was accommodating about taking tests at a different time (earlier) when I needed to so that.

Teaches the subject very well and is a pretty lenient grader. Go to class because she does take attendance but if you pay attention to the lectures, you won't even have to touch your textbook. Do all optional and required homework and you will get an easy A or B no problem! Super chill teachers, one of my favorites at foothill so far.

Whether one is pursuing an AA in accounting or the CPA prep-certification, one can benefit tremendously from taking the financial accounting series with Professor Seyedin. She is extraordinarily dedicated to her students and has tremendously helpful industry contacts. Be sure to engage her as she is most receptive to her students- don't be shy!

This class had a clear and easy structure. Even if you struggle with accounting you can get a good grade by doing extra credit. There is one group project that isn't too hard. She gives plenty of instructions and opportunities to learn the material.

Like any math related course, completing the homework is essential for me to understand the material, and all homework counts as extra credit in this class which is clutch and can bump up a C tester up to an A grade. Professor Seyedin is a character. She has a lot of expertise in the field, but she gets confused sometimes. Seems lost in the explanations and relies a lot on her messy notes. But she is super kind and wants her students to learn about accounting. She is always willing to help, sometimes too much.

Great Professor! The assignments are mostly extra credit, so homework is completely up to you. As long as you do the projects and class participation this is a breeze. She's very easily accessible, and when I noticed that the system was grading my excel projects incorrectly I emailed and she responded back immediately and fixed it! Would take again

Unfortunately, she never teaches the class I wanna take after 1A. When I was ready to take 1B, she taught 1A and 1C. When I'm gonna take 1C, she only teaches 1A.

I love professor Seyendin. I wish she taught ACCT1B online as well because she is amazing and communicates very well. All homework is extra credit, and only midterms, discussions and projects are mandatory. Hard not to pass to be honest, and if the system every glitches, email her and she will look into it and fix it right away!

Dr. Sara Seyedin was my favorite professors at Foothill College. She taught me invaluable skills in accounting 1A, 1B and 1C. My strong accounting background had gotten me a risk management Internship in a venture capital firm last summer. Her group presentation project was really fun. I would strongly recommend her to every student!

Took her online class and instructions were pretty clear. All homework is optional and gives you extra credit if you do it, can gain up to 8%, a whole letter grade! Met with her in person and she is so nice. She also hires teaching assistants so if you want to work and get paid have a close relationship with her and take her on-campus classes.

Took her in person for 1B and online for 1C because of covid. I really missed her in-person lectures, but her online class was really good. You have to do the work to learn the material, but she gives lots of extra credit opportunities and it's not hard to get an A. There is 1 group project, but it was actually pretty fun and she is very helpful.

She sends out a detailed syllabus of the structure and work of the class. A very easy class if you do all the work and make sure to do the assignments on time. If you actually want to learn accounting She probably isn't the teacher for you since its all asynch.

Prof Seyedin is the absolute sweetest. Her expectations from the beginning are clear--because it is an asynchronous class, there is a lot of work to be done individually. There are two midterm exams and a cumulative final, but she provides practice problems and other study strategies. I definitely recommend her!

Great teacher for 1A! Her materials are so thorough and helpful that you can breeze through the quarter without a problem (Granted that you must put in the work for your HW. You definitely cannot pass Accounting courses without putting in the work). Offers lots of EC and always available through email and Zoom! Definitely take her!!!

Dr. Seyedin is a great professor and a caring person. She puts a lot of information in the syllabus; read it carefully! There is plenty of opportunity for extra credit. Sign up for a group as soon as class starts and start working on the group assignment early. She is available through email and Zoom if you have questions. I recommend her!

Provided a wonderful learning experience! The online system we used was very intuitive and the homework and tests we all great learning opportunities. With Prof. Seyedin, you will learn accounting and not stress about your grades if you are doing the assigned reading and homework.

I really liked how organized the professor and the material was - no searching all over to get the info I needed and the syllabus/assignments/calendar were all accurate. She is very responsive to questions, and has office hours that I could actually attend as needed. Online format was excellent. One group project, but it was pretty easy.

Dr. Seyedin is communicative and offers a lot of extra credit, all the homework is extra credit. There are 3 excel assignments and a group project that isn't that hard. If you are ever unsure or want her to check your answers she'll help you figure it out. There are 2 midterms and 1 final but it's multiple choice. Pearson also helps with concepts.

Tests are over 75% of the grade. Her tests are multiple-choice and not that hard though. Took her for Accounting 1 and 2, she's the easiest accounting teacher at foothill. You have to learn it yourself but the concepts aren't too hard. 90% is an A and she offers 8% of extra credit. Not hard to get an A.

Professor Seyedin was great. I took her for both Accounting 1A and 1B. Her class is fully online with no live zooms. Her assignments are fairly easy and everything is made clear in the syllabus. She is a sweet teacher who wants her students to do well. Just do the few assignments she has and you should do just fine, plus there's EC.

This was my 2nd class with Dr. Seyedin. There's another annual report, 3 exams, 3/4 excel assignments, & hw is extra credit. It's not hard to get an A especially because the multiple choice exams are open book. The exams are only open for 4 hours on Saturday. You need to self-study, there are no lectures from her you just use the book materials.

Dr. Seyedin's class is great! This is an online class. Her Zoom office hours were always welcome and she was very supportive, providing clear and concise explanations. The class materials are well-organized. Everything was laid out in a clear and easy-to-follow manner .She offers a lot of extra credit assignments to boost students' final scores.

Out of all my time in University, I have never found a Professor cares this much about student success. She is willing to go above and beyond to make sure you are understanding material, and being taken care of. I had endless issues with another professor and as the Accounting Dept. Chair, she handled everything, 10/10 person and 10/10 professor.

At my time at Foothill College Dr Seyedin has been one of the best instructors I've had. She is truly passionate about seeing her students excel. Just follow the syllabus and you will be fine. I also recommend doing all the extra credit, that will help propping up your grade. She is probably one of the best instructors at Foothill College.

As a teacher myself, (career change),I find professor Sara Seyedin to be a rare gym. She goes above & beyond to make sure that her students learn. She considers all types of learners & this is why she is very resourceful- video lectures. MS word, PowerPoint, lots of extra credit. She is very prompt with email responses. She is a fair grader.

She was very understanding of extraneous situations and had an engaging teaching style. She genuinely cares about her student's success, which isn't easy to find in college professors.

Dr. Seyedin is super sweet. She really cares about her students, and the class is pretty fun and reasonable. She offers lots of extra credit (including doing the homework), there are two open-note midterms and a final, and a relatively simple group project. Not a class I was stressing a lot about. Dr Seyedin had to be one of the most tentative Professors that I've had in Community College, very straightforward class which your grade was largely based on exams (Midterms/Finals) with options for other credit which added points. She was understanding, quick to respond as well as gives you multiple attempts on the homework. Must take!

One writing assignment by yourself for 1a and with a group for 1b, attend office hours for help! 3 excel assignments but she gives you the solution so just format on excel. Professor Seyedin is an understanding instructor who makes her class straightforward. Exams are the main grading factor, but she offers extra credit opportunities. With the help of resources like Unstuck AI, I found her course manageable and would recommend it.

Dr. Seyedin is extremely supportive of all her students and is super accessible outside of class. Her classes are structured so that you're able to get the help you need. She's also invested in her students, past and present. Dr. Seyedin was kind enough to write a recommendation letter for me for graduate school 4 years after I'd taken her class!
