she is an amazing teacher~ very patient, kind and helpful. . it felt like i was in kindergarten again
Ms. Clifton is by far the best math professor at SLU- I could argue that is court. I hate math and she has a way of explaining it that makes it as easy as 1,2,3. She is also willing to go out of her way to help her students, unlike other professors! You'll love her class and personality.
I would definitely recommend her. She is really nice and a great teacher. very easy and goes at a good paste.
SHE IS AN AWESOME MATH TEACHER, SHE REALLY CARES ABOUT THE STUDENTS!
Ms. Clifton rocks! I already knew nost of the things from this class, but the way she acted towards students and explained the matter was awesome! Strongly recommended for everyone! Plus, she's cute :)
Great teacher! Very helpful and cares about her students! Explains very clearly. Highly recommended
Great Teacher! Gives tons of examples. I passed with an A. She grades tests very easily. Don't question your grade though. She will find a mistake that she made and make your grade lower. Recommend to EVERYONE who needs Math 161.
SHe is an excellent teacher. She works slow, and clearly so everyone understands. She's also willing to help anytime she can after class.

I love Ms. Clifton! She is so sweet and she is VERY helpful. I hate math, but she makes it so easy. She works slow and makes sure that her class understands the lesson. Her tests aren't hard at all, but you do need to look over your notes. I'd like to take her for Math 160, but she doesn't teach it. If you can take her...do it!
By far the best teacher I have ever had. I love her!! I always sucked in Math but my best grade was this class. Take her if at all possible!
SHE WAS AN EXCELLENT TEACHER!! SHE WAS ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP IF I HAD ANY QUESTIONS. SHE WAS SO NICE. HER TEST WERE PRETTY EASY TOO.
Awesome Teacher
Mrs. Clifton is the best teacher I ever had. Her test are easy. I would tell anyone if you could get her for math you should. I hate math but I passed with a 93%.
The BEST professor at SLU. Made sure u knew what was going on. Great examples. Did group quizes. Tests were well explaind for u to understand. I HIGHLY reccomend her. THE BEST!!!!!!!!
the best teacher! she is very easy and nice. she moves veryyy slow and really makes sure u understand!
Wow, she's the best! I have a tutor for the semester, but because she explains so well I don't need the extra help. Highly recommend that students take her for any class she teaches! Best Teacher Award Goes To........!
She is very easy, explains things throughly and very helpful. One of the best math teachers i ever had.
Loves to make the student learn.
She's a great teacher, but your grades are earned based on how well you listen to her explain the material. Attending the class is very important. No Make ups.She does explain every little detail about the assignments, study guides, and each test! Take her, she is the best!
Mrs. Clifton is the best teacher ever!! I had her for 161 and got a B and now im taking her for 163 and Im doing really well. She explains everything and she is so nice. Very helpful!!
She is the best math teacher ever! I never thought I would pass this class and i have a B right now. She is willing to help you as much as you need it. Tells you what will be one the test. Gives homework every night but doesn't check it. If your not good in math take her, you will pass!!
She is a very nice teacher. Attendance is mandatory if you want to succeed in her class. She was much better during my math 92 session. The pressure of having more students this semester may be affecting her, but you do have to work hard and study! Pay close attention to what she is doing on the board or you will be lost. Tests are kind of hard.
BY FAR THE BEST TEACHER I'VE HAD MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!! SHE REALLY FOCUSES ON WHAT YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND AND PUSHES IT UNTIL YOU DO!!! JUST STUDY AND PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS.... GREAT TEACHER!!!!
I am terrible at math but she was a great teacher and I did very well. She explains the material very clearly and is very willing to helps students.
GREAT Teacher. She is very LAIDBACK, FUNNY,.She tells you what type of problems are on the test etc.If you dont understand, just tell her and she will help you. She gives H/W everyday but VERY RARELY checks!!!. If she decides to check it, she will tell you in advance.OVERALL SHE IS THE BEST. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!
Shes a really good teacher. She makes sure you understand the material before giving tests or moving on to a new section. I wish I could take her for all my math classes!! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!!
This woman......sheesh! Math is most definitely not my thing, so i took Ms. Clifton because i heard she was easy. NOT THE CASE! her notes are clear, i suppose, but she is HORRIBLE about grading tests! all in all she was not a bad teacher, really bad with time management..had real issues with webassign which made even more frustrating for me.
Ms. Clifton is an awesome math teacher, math is not my thing either, however, I got an A in the class... She really explained things clearly and gave reviews that were identical to the examples she told us to study. I wish that she taught all the maths that I needed, because she really made math enjoyable.
Best teacher ever! She moves at her own pace to make sure all of her students understand the material.
Best math teacher at SLU. Period. Take her class.
Very helpful, fun, and understand if you don't understand. She knows that everyone don't like or know math like her. If you get the chance to take her do so. It's worth it.
Not a math major, and she had ways for me to connect the work we did. I took advantage of all her class study sessions (she encouraged study groups, too). As long as you try to do the work you can pass her class. I was only frustrated when I just plain didn't get something the first 10-12 times she tried to explain it. I think I'm falling in lo
If you are not a math person do not take her. She moves very fast and isn't clear when teaching. She doesn't like to go over homework.
Dr. Clifton is extremely helpful, goes at a slow pace, and makes herself available for clarification at every turn. She gives tons of homework, and rightly so. People in this math class aren't exactly that great at math, so logically, the more math you do, the better you get at it. She's nice, clear, and easy (though the material isn't).TAKE HER!
AMAZING!All I can say is that in highschool I made D's and C's in math and I will finish out the semester with a B. She teaches very slow and she also teaches in steps which really helps for people who arent great at math. I would recommend her to anyone.
What I liked about her the most was that she is very helpful, kind, and she knows her math. She moves at a good steay rate, which I thought was good, and her test were not to hard or to easy they were straight forward. All together she was a great math teacher I highly recommend her.
Loved her! I took her for 155. If you would like to learn math at a steady pace and make a good grade. Take her. She is extremely helpful. Just attend her class regularly, do ALL the homework, and pass all the test with about 70% and you should do fine. I highly recommend her. If she could teach Math 162, I would take her.
Ok, Im not sure about the comments above, but Ms. Clifton works at a very FAST pace. She doesnt answer questions very well and gives homework in the green book periodically. Otherwise, it completely depends on the grades from Course Compass that determines if you pass or fail. I DO NOT recomend her if you are a slow math learner.
omg that class was soo easy she helps you understand anything i loved her class, she is very helpful she even organized study sessions for her classes
Mrs. Clifton is the best math teacher I have ever had in my life!! I was told to take her as my math teacher by many of my friends. She is great! She answers questions and will work with you until you understand. She does not allow late work to be turned in because she drops lowest grade.
Best Math teacher i've ever had! I Failed math 155 last semester and this semester with her, I got a C. Her explanations of problems are crystal clear! I am the worst ever at math and she is the best teacher! Highly recommended!! Sometimes when she's reviewing, she can't answer questions because she's going so fast, but you're welcome to stay after
I absolutely loved Mrs. Clifton. She is so sweet and willing to go the extra mile to make sure you know the material. I'm not by any means a math person but she made it so easy. I would definatly take her if you had the chance.
Ms. Clifton is a really nice lady and she is willing to help you while in the math lab. BUT IN THE CLASSROOM, she teaches at a fast pace. Many of my peers claimed that she could not teach, but I made a B in her class by the scape of my teeth. Like I said, she is really nice and she's willing to help. BUT SHE GOES REALLY FAST!!
TOO FAST. She is helpful and very nice. I just am horrible in math and she is entirely too fast. To bad shes a Gator fan.
I enjoyed this class. The first test sucks. I made a 70%. Your grade will increase dramatically if you do better on the following tests. So at first it seems like youre doing bad, then later you have a better grade. Do your lab hours and homework. The tests are kind of hard, she reviews the practice tests in class. She's really nice and helpful. Yo
This was a very hard class in my opinion, but Ms. Clifton definitely was the only reason I passed. She is a very good teacher and she cares a lot about her students. I highly recommend her; I liked her so much I am taking her for my next math also.
In my opinion, Ms. Clifton is the best math teacher I have ever had. She is very willing to help and is very easy to speak to if there are any issues. I would recommend her to every student. She is absolutely AMAZING.
Mrs. Clifton is amazing. She is always willing to help you and she goes over everything before its do, homework, quizes, test, everything! dont complain that she moves too fast because thats how 161 is designed. TAKE HER!!!!!!!
She is an awesome instructor and i would recommend her to everyone.
Mrs. Clifton is a wonderful teacher. The course is difficult but she makes it so much better. If Mrs. Clifton feels her class is not ready for something or that it will confuse them before a test she will not move on. She tries her absolute hardest to make sure everyone understands the material and makes good grades. TAKE HER! SHE'S AMAZING
Mrs. Clifton is a wonderful teacher. The course is difficult but she makes it much easier. If Mrs. Clifton feels her class is not ready for something or that it will confuse them before a test she will not move on. She tries her hardest to make sure everyone understands the material and makes good grades. TAKE HER! SHE'S AMAZING
Ms. Clifton is my favorite teacher ever! She is the sweetest person ever and she is an awesome teacher! She teaches slow and goes over ever problem in the homework to make sure her students are caught up and understand everything. I wish all teachers were like her! TAKE HERRR! if you are not good in math TAKE HER!
Ms. Clifton, is the best teacher I have ever had. She really cares about her students. She goes over problems and will not move on until the whole class understands. Her test are very easy if you go to class and understand the problems. She allows you to do test corrections for an extra 2 points. TAKE HERR!! She is seriously the best!
she is so nice and helpful! plus she is a looker! i was happy to go to class just to see her.
She is the sweetest teacher at southeastern that you will meet!!! she know her stuff!!! she is very helpful and wants to make sure that you pass and know the material!! i had her for two classes and would recommend her to anyone especially if you're the type of person who hates math!!!!
Ok, Im a freshman right now taking her class and she's a fast teacher, but she's willing to explain every part of every question thoroughly until everyone understands. She is extremely helpful. The only thing is everyone knows she's a good teacher so her classes for 241 are already filled! Bummer!
I loved her! Explains things very well. Easy to talk to! DEFINITELY take her!Im not very good at math but i got an A!
Mrs. Clifton was one of my favorite Math teachers ever. Even though the class was strictly online and challenging, she helped us get through it. Mrs. Clifton is very sweet and does everything she can for a student to pass. TAKE HER!!
Mrs. Clifton was an amazing teacher. After I had her I realized how much I lucked out getting her, and I was absolutely bummed whenever I couldn't have her again. I would absolutely recommend her. Al bs aside she is one of the best math teachers I have ever had!!!!!
She is way too fast. Doesn't repeat all of what she says. Doesn't accept emails- at all. Doesn't have good office hours. Hard to keep up with. Flew threw 3 chapters in 3 classes. Not sure where I'm even at.
In all my years in school (including high school) I NEVER made an A in Math until I took Clifton. She makes the information so easy to understand. Her tests are fair and she is extremely helpful. If you want an A you HAVE TO take Clifton!
Course compass is not used in this class, which is plus!! I hate doing math on a computer. She takes up some homework and there are a few in class quizzes. Also there are 3 tests and the final is cumulative. She does give bonus. I would recommend going to class. All in all she is a great math teacher! Easy A or B class!
Just someone else for math241. She is a flipping nightmare!
RUN and take someone else! She is not a nice person if you ask questions, she will make you feel so small and dumb at times. Stay away!!!!!
I loathe math and she ruined Statistics, something I was relatively good at, for me. Her in class lectures do not correspond with the text book, her tests are unstructured. She gave one opportunity for 5 bonus points, and a huge project over Spring Break. By the way, she wants her future classes to do their homework on Pearson.
Final was so hard- everyone ended up with a C or D. Nursing students crying. Jocks cussing her out. Ridiculous class and teacher! Don't know where the good reviews come from. Take someone else!!!
Nice lady but not very patient. If you aren't good in math, DO NO TAKE HER!! Works through problems quickly. She doesn't usually answer your questions in class, only if you go to her during office hours.
She needs an attitude adjustment! Rude and sometimes just freaking mean. Her personality may seem at first okay, but as the semester moved on I hated going to her class and her office for any additional help. Simply enough, do not take this woman!
She was great and very good at helping you understand the lesson. if you need help she will take time out to help you. she was great and im lookin forward to taking her again.
She likes to show off. She refers to herself as Ms. Clifton. She likes to show a bunch of different ways to do one problem. Her class is very boring. She is also very unorganized with the online homework. I do not recommend her. At all.
Sarah Clifton is amazing!! I hate math it was my worst area in the ACT and I love her class! She makes it easy, going over examples and shortcuts as many times as we need. Listen and the class is easy! Also she tells you when she is in math lab so you can get help from her. She loves seeing students succeed and "getting it", meaning a math problem.
Great teacher! Really cares about math and wants everyone to do well. She is always willing to help and hold study sessions before tests. The only thing I didn't like was that she was late Everyday and sometimes ran class a few minutes over time.
The best math teacher at slu. Very helpful to everyone. Loves what she teaches and actually cares about your grade. As long as you attend class, you should make an A
Okay I don't know what all these other people are talking about.A genuinely nice woman who cares about her students. She was so helpful and she wants you to understand. She made this class so easy and everyone knows that statistics is hard. The final was cumulative but she let you bring a cheat sheet and reviewed for a whole week. Not alot of hw.
Seriously, I dont see why people are giving Miss Clifton bad reviews. She seriously is the best math teacher I have at south eastern! I suck at math and she helped me to get a B. And this is coming from someone who took 92, 3 times! Please take her if you arent good at math. You wont regret it!
GREAT TEACHER. Really helped me understand. TAKE HER
Math 92A. I find this Professor to be very patient and takes time with students. Because this is a summer course she can only go so slow because we have sooo much material to cover. Overall I really enjoy her class and teaching.
Ms. Clifton is amazing. Extremely helpful and sweet. If you have trouble with math I highly recommend taking her!
Mrs. Clifton is really friendly and very patient with questions. Most of the time she is very blunt which is great because you know what to expect.
Do not take her. You will regret it. If you do, you better be prepared to teach yourself. She is a good person personally, but she is not a good teacher. She is an egocentric professor so don't expect her to be sympathetic or nice.
She is a really great teacher. She cares about your understanding and answers questions well. She is always about 5 minutes late to class, so don't be alarmed. She is very helpful as well.
In the beginning she was an amazing teacher. The material is getting a bit harder now and she is ALWAYS making mistakes on the board while teaching so you have to forget what she just said and redo it . She allows cheat sheets for the test. She tells you in advance what homework will be picked up so you don't have to do the rest but it is helpful.
Mrs. Clifton is the bomb. I don't know how else to say it. She loves all her students. I took her at 8 in the morning and she always was happy and ready to teach. She loves questions and will help you with anything! She doesn't like e-mails! But then again, anything you need she mentions in class.
Ms. Clifton is the best math teacher at SELU. She is very clear about her expectations. She is very willing to help if you don't understand something. She is kind and sweet, and she loves her students. If you have the chance to be in her class, take her! She is amazing, you won't regret it.
DON'T EMAIL HER. She is helpful and cares about her students, but she can be quite rude at times. She knows the material very well. She's always running a few minutes late too. Online system isn't too great, but it isn't her fault!
OMG I LOVE HER! shes the best I swear. she really went out her way to help me. She's open to questions, and she does reviews for the test during test week. DO NOT miss class please. she goes over different material pretty much every class. TAKE HER!!!
She was always helpful and explained everything clearly. She definitely helps you more if she sees that you are trying and not a slacker. Class is not an easy A because of the stupid math lab. But she tries as much as she can to help. Take her! Ask her questions in class, emailing her is not the greatest.
TAKE HER! This is calculus, so the material is not the easiest, but is manageable if you study and do the homework she assigns. You have to go to class, if you are not strong in math, because you will get behind. Overall, good teacher!
She was nice and sweet, but I couldn't learn well from her slideshows and math examples, and she sometimes seemed went fast and seemed a little disorganized.
YESSS! I love Ms. Clifton! She is super helpful and I have never been so confident in a math class. Her teaching style is excellent and she uses examples from the online program the students use. She really loves her students and it shows in her teaching. She provides extra help before tests (usually around 3). I wish the work wasn't online though.
Ms. Clifton was helpful, friendly, and a good start to your day if you take her in the morning. She was always cheery and helpful. She explained math concepts in an understandable way. She's really silly but a good teacher.
I love Ms. Clifton, she is very understanding and she makes learning math easy. She breaks it down for you and when tests come up, she sets up a study group and reviews in class too. You just have to do YOUR part and stay on top of homework and practicing for tests.
Besides her being late everyday at least 5-10 mins, she's very sweet and cares. SUPER unorganized and doesn't have a clear grading criteria, but she prepares you before something is due. Also allows a cheat card or sheet for tests, and does a review. If I would've put in more effort it would've been an easy A.
sarah clifton is the best teacher at southeastern! 161 is hard due to the fact its online but if it werent for her i am sure i would be taken 161 again! i felt so lucky that there was one seat left when i checked last week
Math 161 is an awful class but Ms. Clifton does her best to explain everything clearly! She gives test reviews and is more than willing to help you in the math lab. Take her!
This class is hard no matter who you take, but Ms Clifton was a great teacher! She held a study session before every test which was very helpful. Would recommend.
Horrible she no help
The fact that I'm taking calculus and not having a mental breakdown should speak a lot about this professor. I'm actually comprehending what we are doing because she goes step by step in an easy to follow fashion. She's very understanding, and not out to get you like other professors may seem.
Great teacher! As an English major, you can imagine that math does not come naturally to me. Ms. Clifton explained things very well, making it easy for me to learn the material. She was always willing to help outside of class and go out of her way to help you understand what was being taught. Definitely recommend for those who aren't great at math.
I love Ms. Clifton. I've struggled in math constantly starting in eighth grade, so I knew what I was in for. Thankfully, Ms. Clifton was so friendly & she tries to help you as much as she can. As long as you try, & show her you're trying she'll do everything she can to help you. I took her for both my maths & would take her again. Make small talk.
The class homework, quizzes, and test are all online so she isnt the grader but she makes sure we have a lot of examples and teaches us shortcuts. I've heard horror stories about some of the math teachers here and she has been nothing but helpful and caring.
All the test for this course are online, but Mrs. Clifton makes sure you understand the material and are prepared for the class. Really cares about her student. She gives tons of time to complete assignments. Pushes back assignments if the class needs her too. And she gives out of class study sessions the week of the test to help you out. Love her!
Clifton does the best she can teaching 161. Since the class is online there's but so much she can do. In the beginning she was always late but it got better over time. Overall she's really nice and helpful.
Mrs. Clifton is one of the easiest math teacher that I've ever taken. The test aren't made to be hard, no trick question. All the homework are in textbook. She made math easy and doesn't complicate things.
I love Ms. Clifton as a person, however she is not that great of a teacher. When going over problems in class she makes it seem easy, but when we get the test it's so much harder! She does allow you to take group quizzes, but the tests are not even close to the quizzes. She's a sweetheart, but take someone else for STATS.
Ms. Clifton tries to the best of her ability to explain the course material in the time she is allowed. Ms. Clifton has no control over how fast the course goes or how much homework is given. She tries her best to be specific in class and explain everything. She is a good teacher and if you are looking for good teacher for math 161 take her.
Your grade solely depends on 4 tests and your homework average. Offers no extra credit. A lot of homework. Often gets confused with her own problems and has to backtrack. good luck!
Calculus is hard, Dr Clifton does an excellent job of thoroughly explaining and reviewing the material, she answers all questions and works hard to make sure no one feels stupid for asking them. There is a lot of homework, but it ensures good test grades. Material on exams is well reviewed.
I love Ms. Clifton! She is always willing to work with you and help you out. I am terrible at math but she really helped my understand. She gives great lectures and makes sure you are ready for the tests. She gives a couple quizzes which are open notebook, and her tests aren't that bad. She does give quite a bit of homework, which is time consuming
Such a nice person, she really does care about her students; however, she is not a good prof. She makes everything seem easy and moves extremely fast. She makes up her own formulas so that the textbook ends up being a useless reference because it doesn't make sense or match her lectures. Not an easy prof at all but it's not an easy class either.
Hello, its me. I was wondering if after all these years how this chick hasn't been FIRED! Got my inner addele out there, but for real tho that comment under mines aint lieing. Dont take her if you know what's good. Hello from the Outside, at least i can say that ive tried to pass this hotrible class!
If you suck at math, take this woman's class!! She actually talks to students like they're humans, is very caring and easygoing. She explains the material really well, and doesn't mind doing examples/answering questions in class. Also, she welcomes anyone who wants to stop by her office for additional help with homework. .
I enjoyed this class, but you must do the homework. The math isn't bad, but it's new and the homework will make or brake you.
Awesome lady. Everything about her is a 10/10! Very enjoyable class especially if you are a guy. Love Sarah and the way she teaches. I enjoy being on a personal level with her.
I would take her again in a heartbeat. Take her especially if you struggle with math. She makes everything super simple and easy to understand. Everything on the test is what she taught in class. Definitely do the homework; she doesn't take it for a grade, but it definitely helps with your test/quiz scores. She's willing to answer any questions.
Take her!! She is super caring and helps with any questions you may have. She gives practice problems before the tests that correspond with the tests, so you know exactly what she will be looking for. Homework is graded and helps a lot. Overall, great professor that I would take again.
Prof Clifton is extremely helpful when it comes to learning a difficult subject like Calculus. She thoroughly goes through the material and is willing to answer any questions. She gives a set of problems before each test that come from the book and that's where she gets her test questions. She kind of sucks about putting in grades, but she's great!
Hands down the best professor to take for Calculus. Tests are mostly multiple choice and problems are taken from a test review, which she gives you prior to the exam. Lots of homework that she doesn't check often, but she'll sort of warn you if she wants to check. Pay attention and GO TO CLASS and you'll be fine!
Clifton is a very nice lady but sometimes it seems like shes teaching something she doesnt know how to do. Shes willing to help explain, but does every problem differently. Her final exam is harder than the math departments final. Dont take her if you dont have good patience.
I had her for Math 241 and I loved her. If you struggle in Math, take her. She likes to go over a lot of problems with you in class. She gives a lot of homework on Pearson which helps bring your grades up. Her tests can be a little hard but she makes sure you know the material. Very nice and sweet.
I'm giving her credit because calculus is a very difficult subject to learn/teach, she is caring, and tries to make it manageable. Yet, her in class examples, homework, and tests rarely match when it comes to application. She gets confused by her own work and she has a unique grading system. She rarely enters grades (I was failing until the final).
I thought I was terrible in math, yet she made it enjoyable. She makes Trig understandable. She will always help if you go to her office hours and she has an awesome personality and will work with you until you understand. Best math teacher EVER!! I don't remember if attendance was mandatory, took it 2 years ago but she deserves great ratings!
She is so awesome! I was bad at math, but calculus ended up being my favorite math ever! She is always willing to help and visiting her office was never awkward, nor did she make me feel stupid. Had her for Trig too! She truly cares and I could have gotten an A if it was not for Chemistry taking up my time. All in all, best math teacher ever!
Horrible she does not know what she is doing. You basically have to tech yourself the material.
She's very nice, but I had never been more frustrated in my life. The class is completely unorganized and she is teaching herself the material as she is trying to explain it to us which obviously isn't going to work when trying to learn stats. Do not waste your time w this class. The homework isn't bad, but wont help on tests. I ended up dropping.
One of the nicest ladies. She genuinely cares and will go out of her way to help anyone who needs it, as long as you demonstrate that you are trying. I do not even have her anymore, but I still stop by her office for help with my other courses and she always sits down with me to help and I am not even her student!!
Mrs. Cliffton waits too long to give tests and then she crams a lot of material into one test. She helps a lot with homework but then she changes her test so it does not match. If you do not have strong math skills do not take her.
Ms. Clifton is by far the sweetest professor I've ever had at Southeastern. She's very good at thoroughly explaining new concepts, and she gives ample opportunities for questions.
I loved her!! I'm so bad at math and she made everything much easier to understand and taught me the basics that math161 did not teach me. 4 tests and some of the questions are multiple choice so that helps. She is a very fair grader and just a great professor and she has a mom vibe that makes you feel special.. Take her!
If you need 241 broken down to you like you are still in high achool she is that teacher. She does some of the homework problems in class. Always go to her class because missing one class can really put you behind. Awsome teacher and her test aren't that hard.
Ms Clifton is a good choice for statistics! She understands that students struggle in math and makes sure to break each step down for you so that you can understand. If you ever need help you can stop by during her office hours and she will always welcome you! She is far better than any other choice for statistics!
Stats was an easy class with her. She teaches off the homework so it is easier. Her tests are just like the homework and she has a great personality so class is not boring. She is also very helpful, as long as you dont ask to extend deadlines.
Loved Ms. Cliftons class!! As long as you go to class, do the homework, and ASK QUESTIONS you will be set! She is really good at explaining the concept and will definitely go over again if there are any issues you have. She tries her best to keep everyone interested (i mean its math lol) I would definitely take her again.
Mrs. Clifton was a great math teacher for this course. Math Is not my best subject so I always struggle a bit, but she did her best to make sure we understood how to do each problem. Truly cares about her students and wants everyone to pass. Easily the most understandable math teacher I have every taken.
this is the first math class that I actually feel like im learning something. she really cares for her students and wants us to succeed. she gives a lot of practice before tests and gives partial credit on some. if you can please take her class, you won't regret it!
Not the best, not the worst. Go to every class to understand the material. She is nice though.
Mrs. Clifton cares about the success of her students and wants them to pass. She always answers questions and is willing to help. You can get notes from someone and still manage, but showing up and seeing her examples and directions makes it way easier.
Ms. Clifton is great for Statistics. She breaks down the material so you can understand it better. She also goes over the homework so you can get 100%. She understands everyone is not good at math so she tries her best! There are 3 major exams, weekly homework and quizzes, and a final exam. She is worth taking if you need someone to break down math
Honestly I'm horrible at math and she made it easier to understand. She is truly a one of a kind teacher. I would recommend her teach all math courses if possible. She genuinely cares about you and your grade . Pay attention ask questions and she is there to help. Iv never had an easy math class and she made calc a breeze
could be a good teacher, but she does not give enough in-depth information for the criteria that you are learning. If you have no prior knowledge of the class, it is very tough to follow along because she teaches the class as though you have learned most of it already. You have to teach yourself alot of the concepts, and dont miss class, wont pass.
For starters, doesn't answer questions just claims "well i didn't make those". Admits she is not a good teacher for math 107-108. Complains about how long it takes to grade tests. Has a very smart mouth for no reason. I personally do not like her demeanor at all. :)
Clifton is a sweetheart I took her for Math107. She knows her stuff. Always prepared us adequately. The math dept at selu is garbage and doesn't care about students just money grabbing, but teachers like Ms. Clifton salvage their image.
I took her for 241 and she made the class easy and I struggled with math. 3 major exams and homework every week. She went over the homework to make it easier. I went to office hours every week but the final was very hard and I slipped to a C. But I would take her if I had to re-take the class. Choose her! Selu's math department is very difficult!!
Mrs. Clifton is a terrible professor, whatever you do DO NOT take her! She gives a ton of online homework, no extensions, and tests are hard. Uses ALEKS for homework but takes her tests from Pearson where everything is different than the way she taught it. Test reviews are pointless. She refuses to give her tests back and reteach any material. HARD
Best math teacher I've ever had hands down!!! Total sweetheart, and really wants students to succeed. Only downside is that she talks a little fast, but other than that as long as you stay alert and go to class, trig will be a breeze!!!
I honestly would not recommend her. Don't get it wrong tho she's an awesome teacher i love love her classes and she's super friendly too but her exams are like 16 multiple choice questions and 3 short answers but one multiple choice question is worth 3 points which does not exactly work in one's favor.
She is a nice person, but I would never recommend her to anyone. Her tests are not ideal for anyone. 16 multiple choice and 3 short answers. She also loaded up the final week of class with homework. There are definitely better teachers out there.
Moves way too fast. Doesn't reopen homework not even for late points. She does not break problems down she will just skip steps and expect her students to understand what she did. She is super sweet and funny.
Mrs. Clifton is the best math professor I've had at Southeastern. Attendance is required to pass because she will have in class quizzes only announced in class. Her lectures are very helpful and she does a lot of practice problems from the homework. She says she won't give extensions on homework assignments but she gave me an extension on 2.
She's a good teacher if you are trying to learn and her lectures are broken down and easy to understand, however her exams don't make sense to me because if you fail one multiple choice question it's worth like 3 marks so if you fail just 4 you end up with a B already
Mrs. Clifton is so so sweet. She is always willing to help out no matter what she is doing, and she always makes sure everyone understands the homework step by step and makes sure you have the right answer, before diving into it. I have her for Applied Algebra and she lectures well and clearly. I recommend her to any freshman.
Ms. Clifton is phenomenal. I am not a math fan but she made me LOVE going to her class. She makes concepts super easy to understand for everyone. I would 100% recommend her to anyone especially if you aren't good at math. I took her for 107 so she doesn't control the material but she makes it super easy.
I had her for Math 107-108 and she's the best. The deadlines are set in stone for the homework and quizzes, but she's very through and undestanding if the class is struggling. I would 100% take her again and probably will if she teaches statistics over the summer.
Her tests are based on what she teaches in class which i find is easier instead of the tests being based off the online software for homework. COME TO CLASS. She gets very offended when people do not come and will randomly assign class participation if she notices a lot of people are absent. I think the test and the way she teaches is good.
She was rude and extremely unhelpful. She yelled at the class for trying to talk to each other to understand the class material and gave WAY TOO MUCH HOMEWORK. On Finals week we had quizzes due EVRY DAY before our final on Thursday. She'd yell at the class for not being there but she'd only yell at the ones who showed up!! NEVER TAKE THIS TEACHER!!
She talks fast and doesn't respond to emails. She is hard to reach outside the class and told our class we were hard to teach because since COVID the students had weak math skills. Also she gives a lot of homework!
She was rude and homework Heavy. Attendence wasn't mandatory but she yelled alot about it. LOTS OF HOMEWORK LOTS OF HOMEWORK
BAD!!!! DONT TAKE HER
LOTS OF HOMEWORK!!!!!!!!
Rude and very lecture heavy
nice lady terrible teacher! Get ready to teach your self.
was nice and easy in the start then got rude and hard towards the middle of the semester but at the end of the semester became better however alot of grade suffered.
(Math 107) SWEETEST PERSON EVER. Ms. Clifton was very caring and helpful. Always checked in on students, MAKE SURE YOU GET 70 or over on reviews, you get partial credit on tests! There was a good bit of homework but she will push due dates back if too much. Very very kind do not take her for granted!
She went out of her way to help students who were struggling. Bonus points, test corrections, etc. Homework and quiz grades generally helped. The tests are rough but that's just calculus. You can probably easily land a B or A if your slightly okay at math, I just suck at it.
This class was a mixed bag - started off manageable, then got really tough with lots of homework, but improved towards the end. unstuck AI was a lifesaver for study prep though!
Best math teacher I've ever had, she goes over basics and goes over homework and takes time to explain every little thing.
She's great if you can take her take her one of the best teachers I have as a freshman in college
Ms. Sarah is so sweet and truly cares about her students' wellbeing. She makes the material easy to understand and besides the math lab hrs, there's not much outside of class work to do. would def take her again
Ms. Clifton is one of the best teachers I've ever had. She takes time to get to know her students and tries her best to help you with whatever you need. She does do every workbook page, but she will walk you through most of them. She goes over what is on the test and pushes back deadlines for homework/quizzes. Responds to emails really fast.
She is one of the nicest and make relaxed teachers I've ever seen, very helpful if you just ask her, and does her best to prepare for tests. This class does rely heavily on the workbook and aleks, but she always goes over everything in class and gives students genuine feedback.
Ms. Clifton was perhaps the BEST math teacher I've ever had. She cares about her students; always asking if the due date that she assigned is good, and if it's not and there's a genuinely good reason, she will move the due date. She always gave much easier ways to solve problems and it really did work. Left her class with an A and a love for math.
This is the best math teacher I have ever had. She is so helpful and cares about her students. I definitely recommend taking her.
Was not very nice or helpful when I would try to talk to her one on one
