Dr. Covington is a hilarious teacher with a genuine love for all aspects of history, from changes in society to the blood and gore of war. She's very thorough and all the students enjoy her lectures.

Great professor. Has tremedous enthusiasm for the subject matter which helps make the class enjoyable.

Lectured are interesting, but tests are very vague, so make sure you pay attention, even if she only mentions a person or idea once. The class itself (Modern European History) was lots of fun and I expect a good grade. She is really nice & pretty!

Dr. Covington is a great teacher. She conveys everything very well and is very helpful. Sometimes she is all over the place when discussing topics in class, but if you take decent notes it shouldn't be a problem. Tests are sometimes tough but fair.

Dr. Covington's class was by far the best class that I attended in my last semester at Queens. Her passion for history is the epitomy of what a true historian is all about. Easy to talk to and a true inspiration for anyone pursuing a career in history.

She was a really fun professor. The tests weren't too bad and the papers were not too difficult. The textbooks cost a lot for this class though which stinks. I would recommend her to anyone though.

She's a very pleasant person and she made the class very interesting. The class isn't hard at all if you take good notes and follow the handouts. There's a midterm and a final consisting of multiple choice, identifications, and essays. There's also 2-3 papers analyzing primary source material.

An incredibly gifted teacher, who knows FAR more than the course material, which makes it interesting and fun to listen to extra material. She's also one of the hottest-looking teachers at Queens College. Woo hoo!

tests are okay, multiple choice a little tricky, don't need to read a lot but should take notes, and she's on your side. makes english history interesting and her classes are really fun. i've taken three classes with her and when I graduate soon she's the one I'll miss the most.

Grt Prof. She gives grt notes, reasonable no. of papers and explains material very clearly. She knows her subject and makes it so interesting with extra details and humor that you want to study history. One of the best profs. in the dept. She is also very helpful and makes grt comments in the papers.

She knows her stuff. Its a fun class but she goes off on irrelevant tangents all the time. What does the godfather have to do with Alfred the Great? Anyway, her tests are well thought out, you have to know the information otherwise the trick questions will get you. She does give a review sheet and she's super helpful. Shes cool, i recommend her.

love her, LOVE HER. took her history of the body class, which was a little scattered but I learned a lot, and actually was sad when it ended. if you're a history major, don't miss her, but her classes fill up fast. the best!

Hilarious and interesting, and teaches really unusual classes. inspired me to go to grad school. highly recommended, the best.

She is really sweet, and super hot. She is a little scatter brain and can sometimes go on of on a tangent that has nothing to do with the class (once she spent 10 minutes talking about a TV show that has nothing to do with the class). But even so it is worth it to take her class. She is a good grader as long as you hand in your work.

This is the best professor I've ever had at Queens. I would take her classes again. Very intelligent and funny; makes her lectures very interesting. Very warm and helpful; goes out of her way to inspire students. somewhat tardy coming to classes but well worth to wait.

the class was fun and interesting. there were only two essays and the final, and the questions were fair. just be prepared for a lot of tangents in class.

What can I say about covington? she is the best professor in history easy paper, do a good essay on the midterm and you get an A even if you screw up the multiple choice, a night of wings and beer before her final and you can still manage a B+, great professor..

BEST CLASS. Not only is she hilarious, she encourages her students to be hilarious too. She gets to know students by keeping them involved. Btw, she's super hot. Easy A, she drops lowest exam/paper. Super interesting, and she's really funny and enthusiastic. She appreciates humor and those who participate. Highly recommended, especially for Tudor England lovers.

Great Professor. Knows a lot about her area of study and you can really tell that she loves it. There is a lot of information but if you go to every class and take really good notes you won't have any problems passing the tests.

She is such an entertaining professor. Very passionate about Irish History as that is what her area is. I would recommend taking HIST 101 first, because it helps tremendously. Other than that, two papers and a take home final.

The best England Tudor/Irish History professor out there! Very charismatic and inspirational. Easy on the eyes as well! Great lecturer and very benevolent. Though, I wish she used powerpoint slides instead. Two papers and a final. Highly recommended.

Professor Covington is absolutely amazing!!! I learned so much in her class! She gave a midterm, a final and two papers. She gave review sheets for the midterm and final and they are really straightforward. She is so great!

Sarah covington is seriously such a sweet laid back person whose lectures are amazing. For 392W her class was based mostly on class discussions and while it seems like all you're doing is talking you actually learn ALOT from those discussions. You learn way more from those class discussion and her lectures than reading a boring textbook. TAKE HER!

Awesome Professor. She's there not to give you a hard time, but for you to learn. She gives two papers in which you choose one of 6 questions to write about. Frequently extends paper deadlines. There's a midterm and final, and she gives you all the terms and choices of essays for before the test. Very fair grader. Take this class.

After taking 3 semester with prof Sarah, I don't have anything negative to say about her. Aside from what a cutie she is, goto class, enjoy her amazing lectures, write your papers, and get your A. It's that simple.

I've taken Professor Covington for 3 classes and she is easily my favorite professor at Queens College. She gets distracted at times during lectures but she is genuinely nice and establishes a great connection with her students. If you show up and participate, she will help you out even if your grades aren't the best

The best professor I've had at QC! She's so nice, knows her information and makes the class interesting. I had a great time all semester, and looked forward to going to class every week. Everyone should take Prof Covington, she'll make you love history, or remind you why you love history in the first place! I'm taking her again next semester!

Sarah would be the best teacher in QC, regarding how crazy she is, but she covered most everything in every course. The upside is that you don't need a textbook and she got you covered. And the papers that she gave us to write was pretty so-so. Either way, if you don't know where to start, send her an email and she'll help you. That's it. Period.

She's is one of the best professors I have took. Her lectures are amazing. She makes sure everyone is paying attention and not on their laptops. Participation is a must. She lets you do revisions which is great and gives great feedback. Would definitely take her again if I could.

One of a kind! She's truly an amazing lecturer, and quite adorable. She's humorous as well. You will not fall asleep in her class. I find her to be an inspiration. Pay attention, write down notes, and do well on your three essays. Attendance is mandatory. You're not required to buy physical textbooks, but there are readings on blackboard.

This class was taken during the coronavirus pandemic of the Spring 2020 semester, so it was partially in-person and partially on-line. Prof. Covington handled the transition wonderfully. Her in-person classes were great, and the on-line classes even greater. As much she cares about the subject, and she cares about her students even more.

Prof. Covington makes class both interesting and fun. Her lectures are amazing, both as to breath and depth. It is well worth taking any course she teaches. This class was during the Corvid-19 pandemic, and she handled the transition from live in-person lecture to remote on-line lessons very well. She obviously cares about her students..

She's one of those profs you remember several semesters after you've taken her. Very lecture heavy but listening to her teach is so much fun that i looked forward to the lecture everyday. Standard 2 papers, a midterm + final, but participating and showing up def boosts up ur grade. Has clear expectations and is very understanding in general. A+

I honestly love her. She is very lecture-heavy (every Monday and Wednesday, she posts a bunch of slides with audio recordings- takes about 1 hour) and you just need to leave a comment on the discussion. There are two midterm papers (rly easy if you watch the lectures) and she grades so easily. One paper due at the end of the semester! I love her.

I took this class when it was asynchronous. It was only graded on the discussion board plus 3 papers throughout the semester. The lectures were pretty light and Professor Covington was amazing

She is a good professor but with high expectations. You will have to write a lot for the midterm and final which for me consisted of three, three page papers for each based on her ppts. and recorded lectures. So a good bit of work but your efforts will pay off. Also, very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. (During covid)

Ive had her for two classes and can attest she is amazing. TAKE HER! Grade based on 1 paper, discussion boards which u basically give your opinion about the lecture, a midterm and final. Online lectures were amazing. The midterm and final are based on the lectures. Just take notes on them and rewrite and youll get a A. Dont miss out on the class

Everything is on powerpoint for online class. Material presently clearly and her feedback is on point. I totally recommend this instructor.

A smart and kind professor, who made the subject interesting. Her lectures were clear, engaging and informative. The grades were based on discussion posts responding to powerpoints, midterm and final, both 9-12 pages, and research paper of 5-7 pages. She gave students extra time for the papers, which were not too difficult. Take her if you can!

Taking Sarah C. for 165 and shes the best. For this class though, she does powerpoints for the discussions, theres a research paper and a take home final. The research paper could be anything under what topic you chose, so you could talk about any media that relates to the topic from movies to videos games.

She is very kind, knows her stuff, and at the same time very helpful. I would highly pick her class.

This course, "History of the Devil," is phenomenal. It is more than just a history class, it includes philosophy, ethics, literature, religion, and just about everything and anything one could think of. Every class session is a joy to attend. Prof. Covington loves teaching, and you can see why she is one of the most popular instructors at QC. .

What an amazing professor. She is straightforward with her lectures. They are interesting and not boring. She compared old events to new. She also wasn't heavy on workload, just really needed to participate. One midterm paper and one research paper. Her final was very easy as well. I took an online version of Professor Covington's class during the covid pandemic but I wish I had the opportunity to take her class in person. I wasn't sure if I was going to like English history but she made the class very interesting. Her class makes you feel like you're experiencing the historical events first hand. Covington is a great professor who keeps class exciting. She's very easy to approach, and takes the time to give great feedback. I highly suggest taking her if you're a history major. Quality professors in this department can be a little scarce at times. That being said, you have to show up ready, having assigned readings done and honest writing.
