Great Teacher. Loves what she teaching and cares for who you become and not just what you learn. The rewriting of papers was a great way to help understand what you needed to improve and it helped your grade. Wonderful person.

Great Teacher, she brings the Gospel into every class. A lot of the reading is kind of depressing, but she brings it together nicely in class. She lets you revise the papers several times before turning it in which is great for those who procrastinate because you get another chance. I would recomend her.

Not an easy class, that's for sure. Particularly at the beginning of the semester, there is work due every day and lots of reading to do. Don't come looking for an easy A. However, if you want to learn a lot from an enthusiastic teacher take her class.

It's a lot of work. Papers everyday. We had to read two novels at once and right 2-3 page papers in the meantime. It was very time consuming, but im glad that i took this class. I learnt so much about analysing and writing. writing in the future wont be such a dread for me anymore. She loves english and always ties the gospel into every class.

This was by far the most AMAZING class i have ever taken. I dunno how she does it, but she breaks everything down and relates english literature to the gospel and everyday life. Shes the sweetest. I left that class everyday feeling so good about myself. It was an English class yes, but i learned so much more then English. Its a life changing class.

Very good teacher. I would recommend her to any one taking an Intro to Lit (eng 250) class. She learns names fast. If you want a good grade, attend class and participate. Most of the assignments you can wing. Grades on a LARGE cruve (thus attending class). I would recommend her.

She is the best teacher I have ever had. She cares more about us becoming a better person then just learning how to write.If you go and listen and work hard you will learn a ton from the class and love it. It's not a walk in the park though. It's alot of work and takes alot of time but it is definately worth it.

I have no other teacher who will listen to my needs like Sister D. does. I wasn?t sure about her style a first, but as ?I?VE GOTTEN TO KNOW HER? she has gotten to know me. If you don?t like this teacher it will be your fault because she is nothing but accommodating. I write for her class because I want to, and I like it.

Sister D'evegnee loves her students and teaching. I love going to her class because it is great to be taught by a Christ-like example as her. I've learned so much about writing, but more importantly about life. She always ties in the lesson to the gospel. Her style of teaching is unique and makes writing interesting! I highly recommend her.

I used to love this class, but to be honest, I lost a lot of respect for her a few class periods ago. I objected to some of the things she said, so I sent her an email. She emailed me back and it made it abundantly clear that she never read my email in the first place. Since then, I have had no desire to do the homework or go to class.

Wow! I hated English in High School, but this class was amazing. Hard work, but well worth the time. My whole outlook on reading, writing, the gospel, and life has changed.

The class is hard, but Hello? It's college. She really cares about her students and will always try to help you outside of class if you contact her. She's really passionate about writing, which makes her a wonderful teacher. I learned a lot and I am glad I took her class.

Great teacher. However she does give a lot of writting assignments. I would recommend spending the majority of time on the major essays and getting feed back frequently.

She is a wonderful person but the class is way hard to take because of how many papers there are. She will wait till the last minute to pass back the papers but when you email her your papers for a review she will email you back with corrections in about a day or two. Its a lot of work but defiantly worth the effort. Good luck getting an A though

She is amazing. I walked into that class hating writing and came out a better person. She pushes you, yes, but it is all for the better. What would education be if it was easy? She is understanding is always willing to help her students. I definitely recommend her as a teacher. She will help you to become a better writer, and a better person.

I loved this class so much. Every time I left her class, I was motivated to write until my hand fell off! While you do get a lot of papers, it's all manageable. After the first week you get used to it and you actually start to enjoy it! This is a fantastic class taught by a fabulous teacher. Honestly, this life has changed my life for the better.

I truly loved being apart of Sister d'Evegnee's class. I had her last spring. I could feel the love she had for each of us, and that she really wanted us to gain something from her class. Sister D'Evegnee is the best English teacher I've ever had. She is one of those English geeks whose charisma and enthusiasm for the subject is contagious. I dislike English as much as the next person, but she makes it almost enjoyable. It's a fair bit of work, but it is so worth it. I HIGHLY recommend taking any English class from her.

I loved this class so much! Sister D is an amazing teacher. If you are willing to work, do all of the assigned readings, and attend class I promise you will get so much out of this class. Before signing up for her class I got a little discouraged after reading some of the posts on here but decided to take it anyway. I am so glad I did!

Tons of essays to write and no matter how hard you try, she doesn't give a grade higher than a B+ unless you rewrite it which is a lot of work. There is a quiz everyday and this class makes you want to smack your head on a brick wall. But she teaches with the spirit and the lectures are very inspirational. She focuses on making you a better person.

The teacher never once used I-Learn. She doesn't use I-Learn to record things "due in the next two weeks" or to record grades. My grade was a surprise. Tests only grade participation. There is a 10-12 page research paper at the end of the semester. She doesn't believe in giving "A"s for papers so you have to get 100% in assignments to get an A.

Sister D'Evengee's class will change your life. She is the sweetest lady and loves to talk with you, and you can tell she really cares about you individually. She also grades more on how much you improve overall, so as long as you are working hard and doing your best (which you cannot fake, she can totally tell) you will do well in the class.

This is not an easy A class. You have to work for it. But I promise that by the end of the semester, a part of you will wish you could take it again and again. Sister D'Evegnee's an amazing teacher, but this class is extremely work heavy. You write a paper for almost every class meeting, and read a couple articles for almost every class meeting. She gives you great feedback by handing back your papers, though. She truly does care about you, though. It's hard to fail but hard to get an A as well.

I absolutely loved this class and Sister D'Evegnee. The first few weeks there seems like a ton of work but it gets SO much better and this class is fantastic. She teaches you how to write with with heart which is essential for anyone wanting to get a bachelors, masters, or even a good job. She is such a joy to be around, There are a lot of assignments but she balances them very well and gives feedback meant to help you progress as a writer. She will help you if you are struggling and she meets with her students one on one. The work wasn't any harder than an avg class. If you want to learn & have a "2nd religion class" take her.

She's a good, kind person and not too hard of a grader. Very clear with her expectations. There is quite a bit of work, but nothing extreme. As far as her faith goes, she's the kind of person who would hang out in the Wal-Mart parking lot and pray about if she should use the hand break or just put it in park. She'll tell you all about it too.

Her class is a lot of writing but its so worth it I learn so much. This class was honestly more spiritual than my religion class. Sister D'Evegnee is one of my favorite professors at BYU-I who is very kind and inspirational. I always looked forward going to class. There is a bit of homework however, it is completely manageable. She grades your essays individually and doesn't compare your work to another students work. Her grading is very individualized with great feedback.

Sarah d'Evegnee is hands down the best professor I have ever had. Her lectures were incredible, eye-opening, and helpful. It's a lot of work, especially at the beginning, but you learn soo much from her and the hard work you put into the class. I learned an unbelievable amount in just 3 months.

I absolutely LOVED her class!!! It was one of the hardest classes that I have taken but well worth it! She is such an inspirational teacher and really cares about her students! You definitely have to stay on top of your readings and assignments but if you do that, you will be just fine. I learned so much and felt uplifted every day!!
