She is extremely helpful! She wants her lecture to be fun while providing students with great info. If a student need help, she is willing to help you before or even after class. She doesn't have her own office since she is part time. Her lecture is never boring and she tells you exactly what will be on the test. She is really pretty.

I've taken Anthro. 101, 101L, and 103 with Sarah. She's really one of the best instructors at COC. Explains everything very well. Teaches with power points, but makes her lectures memorable. Tests are manageable, so are homework assignments, and group work assignments. You can really tell she genuinely enjoys anthropology. Awesome instructor!

Very easy stuff! She makes her powerpoints available on black board and is extremely helpful. Two exams and they are cake! Come to class, do the hw and group work and you will definitely pass no problem.

Took her Short Term Anthro 101 Lecture for 8 weeks and then 8 weeks of lab.. It was twice a week 3 hours very long but well worth it in the end. I took the short term online class. The work load wasn't ridiculous, pretty much an assignment every other day. She really cares about the subject and the student. The assignments are designed to make you think. She also offers a lot of extra credit.

Did so much extra credit, I was able to opt-out of the final. So few of us were able to. I guess students can be lazy and would rather take a final than do easy extra credit throughout semester? Professor Etheridge will make you work for your grade in order to pass her class. She is very nice and cares about her students a lot. If you don't understand the lecture, she is more glad to go over it with you during her office hours. I recommend her to anyone. She is the best anthro professor!

I took this course during the summer within a five-week period so the amount of work provided is expected. Dr. E is a very active hands-on online educator. She is lecture heavy & there are assignments due almost every day. She responds to emails in a timely manner & offers tons of extra credit. Definitely would take again without hesitation.

Took her for 101 & 220, hands down one of the best profs I've ever had. Graded on a point system, and gives lots of EC, so you can opt out of work once you reach 900. Used the novel she assigned, but wouldn't bother with the textbook, & I wouldn't suggest skipping class , as she gives ICA's/HW or takes roll almost everyday.

Prof Etheridge is really nice. Definitely have to work for your grade but the class/homework is pretty easy, though it can be tedious. One aspect I really appreciated was that at the end of semester if you have enough points equivalent to an A, you are able to opt out of the final. She also offers a lot of extra credit!

Professor Etheridge made me change my major to anthro! She is seriously the best professor I've ever had. She grades on a points system so I was able to skip the final and short answer since I had enough points before then. Lots of hw and it takes a while to complete, but all interesting and enjoyable. Take her lecture and lab at the same time!!!

She made this lab as painless as possible. Her syllabus and use of a point styled grading system made it easy to calculate early on which assignments required the most focus in order to earn an A and to be able to opt out of the final. Her passion for the subject came across every time our lab met. Many chances for extra credit. A great professor!

If you attend the lecture, you will get all your work done for the week! Every assignment is done in lab groups. There is a midterm and final but they are not heavily weighted. Professor Etheridge is a great professor I took her Anthro-101 8-week course. Since the course was short, at times keeping up with four quizzes per week and hw it was a little challenging. Lectures are long but for her online class, you can watch the lecture while you take the quiz, huge help. She rounds your grades so pay attention to your scores.

Pretty easy course if you can mange time well. Lots of Reading and audio lectures, but she has it broken down into smaller segments which makes it very approachable. Although not mandatory, would recommend reading as all the discussion posts and quizzes/test are straight from the lecture. Easy if you set time aside for the readings!

Professor Etheridge is an amazing teacher! Her class is very straight forward and simple to follow along. She cares a lot about her students and is willing to help you out. The work in this class isn't hard and she allows two attempts on most tests or quizzes. There is plenty of extra credit options as well. I would 100% recommend taking Dr. E!

Took 8wk online course, pretty straightforward and easy. 2-3 short, multiple choice tests per unit that are based on powerpoint lecture or any other resources she assigns for the unit.

This class was very manageable and she helps you with each assignment during class. My only issue with her teaching methods is that she is very opinionated rather than fact based and her class gets very political at times. There was about one discussion board and one review packet each week and you can use the packets on the tests.

Wow this class was life altering! Dr. Etheridge is impressive. It was an 8 week class and I worked HARD! But hands down best class I have ever taken. It was an online class and her videos and lectures are incredible! I am forever changed by this class! I highly recommend taking it!

The class was online so we had online lectures / videos which can be boring at times, but some were very interesting. I learned a lot in this class & as long as you all the homework & watch the videos you should be fine.

I took her in-person class this semester & she is the best. She genuinely cares about her students & how well we understand the information. Class was twice a wk & we would typically have an in-class recap "quiz" that we would do together the first class and the second class was applying the knowledge we learned. Overall, very easy & interesting.

The best lab you can take. She is my favorite professor at COC, so kind and helpful. Labs typically involve various bones & skulls to identify. Very engaging & it is amazing to see how passionate she is about anthropology. Need to be a lab manual, but that's the main thing you use for class. Final & midterm are straightforward. Take her!!

Fantastic Professor, she will always provide examples when explaining a topic and will make sure everyone understands the material. Most if not all work is done while in class so, she is always there to help and will never make you feel bad for asking questions. Would definitely take her again!

Absolutely amazing professor with a great routine. Asynchronous lecture videos that can be fairly long, but the material is pretty easy to understand/grasp. Lots of discussions, however, if that's not your cup of tea.

My most inclusive professor so far. What makes a difference is how she structures her lectures and how she makes you understand the subject. She will take the time to make you feel confident in she lectures by staying after class or accommodate your learning style. Her teaching style is one of a kind and truly inspiring.The class is worth the work.

P. Etheridge is a great professor. I think her lab is truly interesting even to students who are not particularly interested in anthropology. One thing I will say is she can be a little political in class, which can be uncomfortable sometimes as it does not have a role in the classroom. You also cannot make-up labs and they are worth a lot.

Her lab was so incredibly chill and laid back and I was always excited to show up to class. She makes learning so fun and enjoyable, which is something I value so much! I would 100% take another class with her again!

Professor Etheridge's lectures were very engaging, her canvas tabs are all neatly organized and easy to understand. Also Her updates and announcements throughout the semester were top tier.

Amazing experience. Lots of material to cover but her lectures make sure you're prepared. Warns you day-of thru Canvas when anything is due and offers a chance to make up work near the end of the semester. Lots of extra credit opportunities.
