Nice lady, tends to connect well with the middle aged house wives.
Very very good teacher. Clear teaching methods are can be understood. Tests are fair and reviews for the tests are very appropriate and helpful. I would take other classes with this teacher.
Very sweet and helpful. Good teacher!
AAA++++ Excellent teacher. Makes learning math interesting and fun. Impossible you say? Take her class. She enjoys teaching.
Wonderful teacher! Gives great study guides and tests match with study guide. Awesome teaching skills, understandable and takes time to help those out who need it! Wish she taught stats!
She's a very good teacher but the homework she gives is ridiculous. I don't recommend her just for the hours of online homework that she assigns.
Shes cool. i liked her class, she does go fast but it just depends on oyur learning skills.
I don't know what you guys are talking about. I think she is difficult to approach, and makes you feel stupid when she answers your question. On a test, I had a question, and she was so damn brief about answering it. More than one student has complained about her this term. I don't recommend her at all.
I agree she is very rude and unapprochable. She doesn't answer the questions asked of her and usually tries to get around them. I thought she was a terrible instructor.

She expects you to know what your doing. the book sucks, and online homework is a joke. shes lazy and thats all i have to say. I was a 4.0 student before i had her. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!!
Ms Fede does have the unapproachable thing going on. I've asked questions and then have felt stupid afterward for asking. Also, she pronounces the word "library" as "liberry" Sorry...but that drives me insane. A college graduate should know better.
I had her for three semesters. She expects too much, especially when it comes to the online homework. Not everyone has access to a computer and she doesn't understand that. But she is a good teacher. Let's put it this way the semesters I did have a computer I got A's & B's the semester when my cpu broke I barely got a C.
she sux as a teacher and she should retire now!
Very good teacher. Breaks things down, easy to approach, gives study guides that match the test. I highly reccomend her.
Very good teacher. Breaks things down, easy to approach, gives study guides that match the test. I highly recommend her.
She is very interactive with the class. She helps you work though problems in class instead of just doing them on the board. Attendance is manditory and you will get a grade for doing homework. Her classes do not get out early!!! You will learn from her...
She expects you to know what you're doing. She doesn't answer questions, rather, repeats the same problem without variation. She does not have or develop a relationship with her students, it's like having a robot as a teacher. Agree with others about rudeness. I ended up with a 69.2%, and wouldn't let me do anything to receive that extra point.
I am not all that thrilled with her - unfortunately, I have missed the drop/add period. Because I would have changed to another teacher. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I just get through it and pass the Exit exam - which is more important to me!!!
Miss Fede is a very encouraging teacher. She goes out of her way to make her self available and make sure poeple are understanding what is being taught. She is also funny and in a great mood. I am very thankful I have her and I am going to stick with her as a take the next math course. I had her for prealgebra and now have her for elementary.
Great teacher, I would recommend her to anyone!
I love Ms. Fede, she's my most favorite professor so far. I find myself very fortunate to have her class for my very first semester in college. I'm going to miss her! Hopefully I'm in her Intermediate Algebra class next semester C:
I love her as a teacher. If you are looking for a fair instructor she is just that. She does not take late homework or let you retake a test if you missed it. She provides every opportunity to get help in her class and even posts her office hours. She is very consistent and passionate about teaching math I would highly reccommend her.
Wouldn't take her again unless forced. Got an A (99%) but taught myself. NOT avail like she brags-never in her office when I needed her, (during scheduled hours) didn't return email. Maybe she only does that for her favorites which she makes blatantly obvious. CONDESCENDING and ABRUPT in her responses. Rushed lessons even beyond class time limits.
Very rude, unapproachable, expects you to know the material - expect a teacher who does stuff just by the numbers, you will have a better relationship the professor of your online class. AVOID IF YOU CAN!
mrs.fede is ridicolous...I don't recommend her to anyone. She is a decent teacher but does not offer any lienacy to extentating circumstances. It's like she wants to fail you! Unless you don't have any other classes to take but her's...don't take a class with her!
MUCH homework (MyMathlab). Gives practice tests that show the types of problems on the real test. Asks them/formats them completely different than the actual test or gives you all the funky problems that are the exceptions to those rules. U need to know the stuff frwrd/bckwrd/inside/out to ensure a good grade. Always takes off 2 pts here and there
Thorough but tough. If U want to be a math teacher or need to take much harder follow on math classes (like calc) she is a good teacher-you will have a good foundation to go forward but only if u work hard. If u u need to take this class just b/c then find someone else.
I would not recommend Ms Fede to anyone. She expects a certain level of prior knowledge because she teaches elementary and intermediate, but those that haven't been in a math class in awhile won't understand what she's talking about. I taught myself everything just to get a B in her class. She nitpicks on tests, taking away points for anything.
Assigns a LOT of homework, takes points off for every thing she can, overload of material. Test out of Intermediate algebra if she is your only option. Also pretty unapproachable. I hardly passed this class.
Put your head down and get the work done and you will get an "A". There is alot of homework, but if you do it all you get a 100 as a test grade....not too shabby to pull up the average. You have to study. If you haven't had math in a while then you need to do the review section in the textbook on your own before the class starts.
I don't know why so many people gave her negative comments. Ms. Fede is a good math teacher, I received an A+ in her class. The class isn't easy - but, do the homework and practice tests and you should be MORE than fine. She explains things very well. I would deff. recommend!
she does give regular homework and require attendance every day, but she is a very good teacher. She over teaches everything until everyone understands. I loved her.
I took elementary algebra with her. She is such an excellent teacher. She takes the time to make sure that everyone understands. Homework is online but she is available in her office to talk for as long as you need. Always has a smile and never turns somebody away that makes the effort to do the work and learn the material.
Horrid, obscene amounts of homework. 30 questions per section, 2 sections at a time makes for hours of sitting in front a computer doing questions she doesnt teach thoroughly and that wont even end up on the test, so it ends up a waste of time. Sure if you love math go for it, but if your just trying to make it through, avoid at all costs.
It sounds to me like people that give her bad ratings do not expect to have to work to get a good grade in college courses. I had Ms. Fede for three classes. The practice tests are formatted like the exam, so it is to your benefit to do them.Show up ready for class, do your homework, and ask for help when you need it, and she will help you succeed.
Extremely hard. You must have a good understanding of math and enjoy it before you even walk into her class. Yeah, her study guides have the same type of problems as the test, but it only helps if you have a very full understanding of the math already. Wayy too much homework, and ridiculous rules for test taking and homework. DONT PICK HER!
Ms. Fede was a great teacher! Sure it took some work, but shouldn't it? It's math! She really helped me, and I'll definitely be taking her for college algebra. The homework took some time, but the my math lab is very helpful. At least, it was helpful for me. :)
Quite a lot of homework every week, easy grade if you do it, overall homework grade counts as test grade. Not a lot of grades in general, I believe it was only six ? Takes off for attendance. Not a bad teacher if youre there everyday and do all the homework. Also just started going over practice tests with her online, not recommended to slackers.
Ms. Fede is helpful and friendly. I always have found her to be approachable and helpful. I'm looking forward to taking another class of her's in the future.
very good teacher took lib arts I in the hybrid class loved it you can watch her videos over and over as many times as you need. No other way but on line are hybrid. she puts alot of work in her videos. she is so fair i wish she would teach lib arts II
This class requires a lot of time. I took her 8 week online class. I watched EVERY video and did all the homework. All the hours paid off with an A. She has the notes for you and resources, and she is ready to help if you ask. It isn't easy, but college isn't supposed to be! I would definitely take her for another class.
Great teacher. Very helpful and as long as you do the work it's an easy A. People need to quit complaining about the amount of work in classes. Your are in a college class. It's not 3rd grade :)
This class waws super easy, she only opens up certain sections at a time. She does put the grades in the day after everything is due, and would be willing to help if you needed it. She responds to emails right away. You dont need the book, she provides note and videos.
willing to help when you need it. While I didnt struggle with her, I did struggle with the online testing and online homework. I would not recommend taking this course if you are taking alot of more than one other class or work alot. Material is fast paced and you will not pass unless you put hours of effort into homework, studying & tutoring.
I took Ms. Fede's college algebra hybrid course. She was VERY helpful and was always available to answer questions. As long as you work and actually complete the study guides, you should have no problem passing the class. Make sure to complete the quizzes, and homework helps a ton! Lots of work; well worth it. HIGHLY recommend.
So each week you will have about 7 lessons to do. Each lesson as a good 1 hour of homework with it. 2 quizzes and an exam for each module. 5 exams total. This class takes hours. I would spend 9pm Saturday until 9am Sunday to finish the module by 5pm on Sunday. I suck at math but I am happy with the grade. The lessons are clear to understand.
Online class. Very good professor. She is very helpful and answered emails quickly. The material isn't very difficult and she has a video online for every lesson. If you watch the videos and take notes the homework, quizzes and exams are easy. Class is broken up into modules. She Uses mymathlab so there is a lot of resources available for help.
I don't mind the homework, especially since she counts it as extra credit and it helped me when it came to test time. I just didn't like the site that we had to use for the homework called MyMathLab it was slow and it would freeze or log me out when i got an incorrect answer. Ms. Fede is a great teacher, and i would take her again.
Mrs. Fede was an excellent teacher as in clear cut what she wanted from you and as long as you did the video's and did the printed notes you would have no problem passing the test. As long as you do your work it's an A.
Don't do it.
Professor Fede is a good professor. She genuinely cares about her students and is always willing to answer any questions you have. Her system of grading is really cool. Homework and quizzes are done online at home and exams are done in class in a computer lab. If you're not great at math you may have to practice a bit but MyMathLab is very helpful.
The best quality of Ms Fede that inspired me to take her for all my courses is that she is so thorough and understandable. There will be a fair amount of homework, but it is so easy to obtain an A in this class if you work hard and pay attention. She actually teaches you the material, and you will actually learn with her.
An entire math class should not be based on a website called mymathlab, I expect to be taught, not how to use a math website. Also a math study group from the professor's teaching would be helpful... 2/10 (Don't take) YOU WON'T LEARN!
Sarah Fede was a fun teacher! I highly respect her and am going to be taking her next class, Algebra 1. I am highly recommending her.
horrible teaching skills, if you have trouble with understanding math and need guidance with actually LEARNING something without having to teach YOURSELF dont take her. You have to teach yourself every section/chapter (literally from scratch) good luck
This class depends on your learning style. If you can learn from videos and PowerPoint slides then your better off taking Algebra online. Because it's all "MyMathlabs" at the end of the day. She gives lots of extra credit before tests. You can get an A if you work hard on your own time. She can't teach you everything in 1 hour.. Good luck!!!
I took Professor Fede for liberal arts math online. Everything is online except for the proctored final . She is very clear in her grading process from the start. She has made videos explaining every section in detail, which are the most helpful. If your willing to learn the material and complete the assignments then you should at least get a B.
You're not learning Math your learning "MyMathlabs" at the end of the day. It's about how good you are at plugging the numbers into the computer. Good for practice, Rough for exams. She gives lots of extra credit before tests. You can get an A if you work hard on your own time. Don't count on the tutoring center helping you out. They need tutoring.
Took Professor Fede and the work was all based on my math lab and the test were so much harder than the actual homework. No curves or extra credit given and works face paced writing problems on the board and assumes everyone is following along, some people took her class more than once because of the difficulty.
Terrible. Fede gave absolutely NO assistance throughout the entire semester and was not in contact with students at all. The beginning of November currently and I still have not received any email responses, just automatic grades from a very flawed pearsonmathlab system. She does not take what she does seriously, and a costly class wasted.
Professor Fede knows her stuff, but that doesnt mean she will make sure you will. During lectures she speeds through the material while most of the class is lost. Homework, quizzes, and test are done through MyMathLab and do not always reflect what was learned in class. If you want to pass expect to be doing a LOT of studying at home.
Doesn't teach at all and only uses math lab. All of your homework, quiz, and test are on a computer and you even sit on one during class. I went for help and was treated like an annoying fly. She had zero sympathy for people that were having internet problems after Hurricane Irma. She thinks she's on a high horse and relishes feeling power over you
If you need to take Inter Alg she is a good professor would recommend far better than my last professor, gives you all the dates for everything on Day 1 so that is appreciated
I took Intermediate Algebra last semester with Ms. Fede and opted to take a more inconvenient class just to have her again. She's there to help if you need it, likes to give you as many points as she can without cheating, and responds to emails quickly. I worked hard for my A but it's doable if you apply time.
Extra credit is available for classes that are NOT online. She gives you the syllabus and due dates on Day 1 so for a planner like me it's awesome. Willing to help. If you have questions, stay after. Don't count on the tutors. You MUST understand this info if you have to take College Algebra next.
The hybrid class is completely based off of MyMathLab, and so are the tests. You have to teach yourself everything and homework is assigned AFTER you take each quiz, so you're out of luck if you don't understand the material. Once in awhile she will lecture in class but it is hard to follow. Also she doesn't allow absences under any circumstances.
Very good professor. A lot of homework, so beware; but she explains so clearly it actually motivates you to not give up. She goes through the lessons very fast, but she is accessible outside of class. A LOT OF EXTRA CREDIT THOUGH. 8/10 recommended.
Too much homework. The extra credit didnt mean anything. The tests were hard. She vavored some students over the others
I took Intermediate Algebra with Mrs. Fede and it was a great class, she stayed for over an hour after every class to help student finish their hw and answer all of their question from previous chapters. good grader and fair with giving bonus points in tests. gives a lot of extra credit if you attend certain events. Amazing teacher overall.
Took a hybrid. If youre not a math person, dont take hybrid. She teaches you her ways but the computer wants you to input things a certain way. Learned more from the videos online with mathlab. Doing all assignments online takes forever (hours). She makes it seem simple and online its way more complex. She just grazes over the basic idea.
Very nice teacher. I took the hybrid version, so we only met once a week. If math isn't your thing I would suggest taking the class completely on campus. During class time she would go over the lessons and show us all the steps and pause for questions. Homework/quizzes can be a bit excessive but the class was overall fine.
Professor Fede sadly disappointed me in her intermediate algebra class. She is a very one dimensional teacher, not knowing more than one strategy to help you on math. Everything is done on a computer in mymathlab. She will teach you a lesson with the easiest problems only leaving you to get to the homework that has 10x harder questions to answer.
This is my second time with Mrs. Fede. both semesters I achieved an A in her class and I'm very happy with her teaching. she is great, respected, and cares a lot about her students. there is practice test before exams and reviews too before a class starts. I would recommend her to anyone, but you must do homework and pay attention to her teaching.
It was a pleasure to be in her class. I really appreciated all the work she put into making us her class pass, with the study groups, personalized videos, and non-judgemental environment for asking questions. Math is my weakest subject, but I did not dislike her class, which is more than I can say for other math teachers.
Shes actually the worst professor Ive ever had, so difficult and not nice at all. She makes you feel bad for not understanding material. 10/10 would not take again and she should honestly be fired. Would rate her 0/5 but it wont let me.
She explained lessons well and the videos were helpful that she posted online. She was very sweet and always explained things well. She also was always welcoming and offered tons of help. I took the hybrid class and even online it was amazing because the videos were good and she spoke slow so that you could understand. Would definitely recommend.
First off let me start off by saying DO NOT TAKE ANYONE ELSE. This women can teach. By far my favorite professor so far. Sometimes things can get tricky in math and she always has a solution. She is very personable. Her class fills up quick so be sure to register quickly! My advice for studying is do the practice exams given by the online program.
I took Professor Fede for College Algebra after taking her for Intermediate Algebra to see if she improved but unfortunately, she didn't. The mymathlab application she uses is hard to understand. Additionally, the practice problems she gives in lecture are so easy but then the homework is so much more complicated. She weighs her tests so heavily
The entire semester was going good until the end. I noticed a difference in my final grades on separate platforms and she neglected to answer my message. Gradebook is weighted strange in a way that seems to hurt students.
Extremely upset with my last few weeks in this course. She ignored my email about my final grade a couple of days before it was due. She never answered me and I feel like my question has been neglected. Not sure if I should have actually received an A since she refused to answer my email. Very unhappy with this as her failure may impact my gpa.
Professor Fede is one of the best professors in her field. Her zooms and grading were helpful in achieving my A. If I did not have professor Fede, I would not have had an A, and possibly not even a B. Easy to reach out for help.
She is probably one of my favorite professors. She takes time out of her day to help you outside of class so that you can do your best!
Although I took this course online, Ms. Fede was always available. She responded to emails within 24 hours and was very understanding when it came to certain things. There are videos and fill in the blank notes to go along for each module, which are very helpful and covers everything that is on the exams. I would definitely take her class again
I took her once before and managed a B for that course. Lecture via zoom every Monday. She does not use honorlock. She makes you log into your zoom from your phone, during the whole test so it is proctored. No notes on test except the cumulative final. The cumulative final drops the lowest grade. Overall not a bad teacher. She gives extra sessions.
Professor Fede is a super caring person who you just know wants to see her students succeed. There's a decent amount of work but that's expected for any math class. My class formed a study group that was super helpful and she was very supportive. She provided a lot of opportunities if we needed help outside of class. She's a great teacher!
Professor Fede doesn't really care about her students and has very little patience. I do not recommend having her as your professor. She is an extremely tough grader and needs to improve on her social skills. She does not communicate well with her students outside of class. She is one of the worst professors in the state of Florida.
During the zoom classes, anytime anyone in my class has a question, Professor Fede acts annoyed and as if they are a burden. This class has a test every three weeks or so, 2-3 homework assignments each week (even on test week), and one quiz every week. There are practice tests and they are the only reason I passed the tests.
No extensions for any reason. Including notes from Doctors or certificates from when a family member passes. She will lock you out of the material to study for exams if you do not complete the homework in time.
Exams are worth 60% of your grade and the final exam is worth 30%. Also, you will not be able to view what you got right/wrong. I knew all the material and felt confident in every answer and got a 73, not knowing why.
Avoid this teacher at all costs. She is constantly rude to students, and when you ask questions she just refers you to the textbook or lectures. I go to office hours because I do not get help from the textbook/lectures.
I am considering going to the dean. Homework is more than the 3 classes I am taking combined. Spent 20/25 hours a week. She offered 1 point extra credit for good reviews on the instructor survey. I went to office hours and got referred to the textbook then got extensive tutoring. I got a low B and I WAS a 4.0 student.
I took her hybrid class, about three assignments a week and an exam every two weeks. She is very caring but lacks social skills with students. Shell send an email out every week for reminders. Ended with an A even though Im terrible at math. Her video notes are a must, but write in the examples she demonstrates from the notes because she wont.
She's very engaging in class, she offered extra help during hurricanes on Zoom and offered calculators to borrow during class. The class I took was Hybrid On Campus, met once on campus and the rest was assigned online besides tests. I recommend for those who want skills in math all-around without jumping into a big risk.
Professor Fede is a terrible teacher, she is not helpful at all when it comes to technical problems. She schedules her tests back to back so you do not have a large time to study and on top of it all she just seems like she doesn't care if you pass or fail. I wouldn't recommend taking her to anyone for any math classes.
This class is so hard and so many my lab assignments that are time-consuming. I don't recommend. I didn't enjoy it and really struggled. She doesn't understand were taking other classes and her class isn't our top priority, if you wanna spend a whole bunch of time in this class, go ahead. But its a tough one. Dont say I didn't tell you so. Goodluck
Overall she gives you all the information you need to succeed. I can't say I loved the sometimes 50+ hw questions we would have weekly but I know they helped my grade in the long run. She's always very inviting and knows what she's talking about. Would definitely recommend her!
Ms. Fede gave us incomplete lectures during class due to this class being classified as a hybrid. Not enough time was given on test, and when you notify her about that she basically says well just start cherry picking questions. She doesn't teach, she just reads the PowerPoints. Didn't help me pass even though I was less then 2 points away. Avoid!
Prof. Fede is super sweet and wants you to succeed in her class. As long as you complete the assignments on time and study for the tests, the class itself is pretty easy. If you miss a lecture, there are videos on Canvas and she does a beautiful job of explaining concepts and answering questions. Don't procrastinate. She doesn't accept late work.
Her lectures are great but fast-paced. I hope she will be more flexible in giving deadlines next time. Lastly, she offers lots of extra credits that are easy to complete.
Only had 1/hr per week in class, she would use half of it talking about irrelevant things, then schedule a zoom meeting catering to students who reached out to her first. The final was completely different than the study guide provided(pearson's). Very strict on deadlines and heavy on assignments/quizzes.
Very sweet and caring; as someone who struggles with math, her teaching methods make it unbelievably easy to understand the material. She's also very engaging with her students, I looked forward to every class and left with a smile.
She basically just reads of the powerpoint and doesn't finish her lectures. She gives homework's with at least 20-40 questions twice a week. She does not allow late submissions as well. She gives us assignment/dues as if thats the only class everyone's taking. Choose a different professor if you don't want to be stressed/burnt out.
Prof. Fede was ok to have, as it's clearly shown that she cares for each student. She gives 40 question homework assignments and 10 question quizzes that cannot be late. Late assignments are a 0 in the gradebook. Be prepared to do a lot of work if you want a good grade.
She's a great professor who will always help if you ask and even offers for you to sit in on her other sessions if you need more help. She's constantly cheering us on. There is a lot of homework and little quizzes though, but otherwise not a difficult class.
She tries to assist each and every one of her students and is an incredible professor. The class, not her, is the difficult part. You must study diligently or else you will fail. She offers assistance before and after class. She lets you review your tests to change your score to become higher by showing your work and explaining what went wrong.
I personally really liked her, she's nicer than most math teachers and can really help out in stressful situations.
Fede is one of the worst professors I've ever had. She shows lack of remorse and will not excuse you of any missed test even if you are barfing your brains out. You will basically have to teach yourself everything and be prepared to have hours and hours of homework every night. Let this be your warning: DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS.
The class is challenging, but the professor provides helpful video notes. Attend every class and use Unstuck AI for study prep - it's a lifesaver. The workload is heavy, but the material is manageable with dedication.
She made us watch video lectures that were an hour long twice a week, then gave us two assignments that were upwards of 35 questions that had multiple parts, so it was really more like 50-60 each. Then gave us a quiz each week that has 7 questions, so mess up one question and you go down to an 85%. This was twice, and even three times a week.
not helpful at all , goes through the material very fast , the tests are super different than what she had taught , and very difficult, have alot of points on them and if u dont do good on them you will fail the class even if you do all of you're homework it does not matter , attendence really matters , pick random groups, doesnt answer questions
For MGF1131: 2 meetings & 2 assignments per week. Homework is on ALEKS, which allows for as many attempts as necessary to get 100%. 4 exams; no make-ups, but 1 extra exam at the end of the semester which replaces lowest exam grade. In my experience, she is very caring, explains things clearly, and offers help whenever possible.
