She talks really fast. You need to take notes on what she says, not just the powerpoint. her test questions come straight from what she says. You have to do map quizzes & ch. quizzes which are an easy 100. . Just go to norton study space and the answers are there. so basically 20% map quizzes & 15% ch quizzes. Just do well on her tests.

She has a passion for history & uou can tell by her lectures. This is not an easy A. You have to actually attend class to do well. Her powerpoints are all pictures so you have to take actual notes. Dr. Hamilton is one of the best professors I have ever had. She is passionate about what she teaches and understands it thoroughly. She cares about whether or not students understand the material. It's important to come to class because it is game based and you need to participate, but grading is easy. SHE IS SO NICE and accommodating.

She's pretty understanding of time restraints and is willing to help in most cases. The class is super fun and she doesn't give busy work without purpose. You have to speak out and participate in class to do well, but it's not a hard class.

Dr. Hamilton is a GREAT history teacher! I have always hated history, but her class has kept me completely engaged to the point where I am enjoying a history class. Her grading criteria is super fair and she's always willing to meet with you over any question or concern. Take her class, you won't regret it.

This Reacting to the Past class was the highlight of my semester, not only because it was incredibly engaging, but also because Dr. Hamilton made it feel like we weren't really in class. The class had incredibly intense assignments, but it never felt like work. If you have the chance to take this class, do yourself a favor and enroll. She's great.

Dr. Hamilton turns the subject that I thought could only be taught via monotonous lectures into a nuanced look of the colliding ideologies surrounding major world events. In a class that is so heavily focused on student participation, her magnetic voice captures the attention of students in a way that I thought was only theoretically possible.

Best professor ever. I absolutely loved her. It's not your average history class. Instead, you have role-playing games where you "react to the past" by representing a character during a specific point in history (like King Louis in the French Revolution). Make sure you know your role/arguments well enough to debate and you'll get an A.

Alright, Dr. Hamilton is fr the best. Participation is key in this class, so attendance is important. The whole class is a combination of three simulations which seem questionable at first, but are really super interesting and honestly fun. I can count on one hand the number of days where we've had legit lectures in this class. Hamilton's a 12/10.

Being that I am not a sustainability major I was worried about this class. But, Dr. Hamilton has done everything in her power to make sure everyone understand the information given in lectures. She is so kind and caring and is quick to email and reach out to you when she thinks you might need help. She really and truly cares about her students.

She rubbed me the wrong way at first but then when I got to know her she was extremely kind and fun. She gave us study guides and would make sure we were really prepared for the test. She is kind of a know it all and very opinionated but overall she is good professor. She has a gift for teaching.

I wasnt excited about it because saving the earth wasnt really my thing. But it ended up being interesting. Dont take this class unless you can get Hamilton the other professors suck. This class takes little effort but not much to get a b. 45 points of extra credit, bring grade up by 4%. Attendance is mandatory and you can lose a lot of points

Dr. Hamilton is the best. By far the best history class I've ever taken, and the most I've ever learned in a history class ever. If you're super terrified of public speaking, she's more than willing to work with you to give you a role to more suit your skill set. The only real issue I have is that she thinks M&Ms are better than Reese's Pieces.

Dr. Hamiltons class involves role-playing characters from historical eras. There are very few lectures but the class feels fun and she is always available to talk to in person or on Slack. If you like working with other people and hate tests and can write well, shes a great professor.
