Tests are based on notes...... so its important to be in class. Do all assignments and good on the tests and its a easy A. She gives pop quizes so you should read but if you there whne the quiz is given you are given some credit for that.

she is really easy. seriously! go to class, participate, and review the notes and you will be fine. photocopy the books because there is no use in buying them. she is nice and answers your questions. her class might seem boring at first but its worth it in the end. if you do the reading and pay attention its easy. take her.

She's the best professor I've had in my college career so far! Her lectures are very easy to understand and are very smooth flowing. All of her tests on based on the notes, the papers are based on your knowledge of important materials in the class,its a very interesting class, and she really knows her material.

This class is pure joy and superb! Its fun, quite interesting and a great way to get your brain to think. The readings are really great and she is very intersted in teaching this class and does a superb job of explaining things. This class is a lot of reading. The second half of the semester is awesome! She's a good professor who explains concepts very clearly. The midterm and final are a bit challenging and you do need to know the readings in order to do well. Definitely take her for her intro! Young and pretty with a great personality. A lot of reading (textbook plus 1 or 2 readings from course reserves). Knows her information very well. Doesn't mind going over topics. 5 homeworks given the whole term. Midterm and final are multiple choice, true/false and matching.

I had her for soc 218. Did pretty bad on the midterm, turned in every homework assignment (which there were about 12 of) and received a B+ somehow. Final is way easier then the midterm, she is very interesting and easy on the eyes. She is young and "in". Tends to ramble occasionally and veer off topic but very familiar with her subject. Take her.

She's a good prof. The only annoying thing is that she gives quizzes on the readings we had for homeowkr, but other than that shes fine. pretty cool teacher.

Well I never studied and got an A+...just come to class, listen, take notes, and read them over once before the exam. The exams are for the most part multiple choice and extremely easy. She's def not a bad prof...I'd take her again.

Professor Hanks is brilliant, hip and beautiful. Originally from Louisiana, she now is a rad New Yorker. Very knowledgeable about the media industry. Showed great documentaries and youtube videos. Loved this course! Great readings, which people really should read. Grading: Journals, Midterm and Final. Not hard at all. Will miss her.

Do the readings,pay attention in class, take good notes and you'll do well. Gives pop quizzes on the readings but if you skim at home they're easy and she drops one. Final and midterm straightforward, focus on class notes/online articles more than textbook. Short 1-2 page paper every few weeks. Cool prof,really nice, young, laid back. I recommend.

She's the best sociology professor ever! Reject all negative comments. Very sweet, easy on the eyes, caring, helpful. Must warn though YOU NEED TO WRITE DOWN EVERY WORD SHE SAYS & read the articles that she assigns each class is what the test is based on. Dont save the articles for last minute some are extremely long. I got an A:)

She generally arrived about 5 minutes late every class and would ramble a bit for another minute or two. Other then that she was a great professor. Very clear and helpful, no surprises. The final was easier than the midterm and she made her classes pretty interesting. Just show up and do the homeworks/reading and you will pass. Easy B+/A. Very hot.

She's straight forward and easy. 1 annotated bibliography (super easy), Midterm and Final (It's all based on class notes, nothing from the readings),in class assignments (do it and you'll get the credit.

This class is a good intro class and was very interesting. She only gives a midterm, 1 annotated bibliography assignment and then a final exam at the end. There are readings every night which are interesting, but she goes over the main points of the articles the next day so they aren't necessary to get those questions right on her tests.

I loved her class. I knew nothing about sociology before this and fell in love with it. Tests are the only source of your grade but they are not difficult as long as you take good notes. She does talk fast sometimes so a laptop helps. Readings are fun and she always go over the ones that will be on the test.

TAKE THIS COURSE! She is such a funny, relaxed professor. She really cares about her students actually understanding her lectures, she would even answer questions way after class ended to ensure that we really retained the material. Her exams are straight from the lectures and this course is VERY easy if you study for exams and show up to class.

I have never had a professor who was so passionate and so clear about what she was teaching. The course is very dependent on lecture and she doesn't put notes online so you have to go to class. She types important notes on the projector as she speaks so it's easy to take notes. The material isn't hard and she does a review before every exam.

It is a pretty straight forward intro class. You have to do group work that will be assigned on random days and she does not give study guides, so be sure to go to class. You do not have to read assigned texts but you should because she will know based on participation and will threaten to give weekly quizzes. Tests are easy just study the notes.

Prof. hanks's 101 course was great. Make sure to take detailed notes in class. Exams are solely based on in class notes she types on Microsoft Word which she does not upload to BB. Attendance is not mandatory but she gives announced/sometimes random group assignments that count towards your final grade. She also gives a review a week before exam.

I just watched her lectures and copy the notes on the slides. Literally everything is based on her lectures so shes quite easy. Only downside is she goes off what you get online but she assigns a fair amount of assignments so if one grade is bad dont get feel down, just make sure to watch the lectures and take notes and youll be set.

3 tests all based on her slides and what she says, 10 short (5 question) quizzes, and 10 discussion prompt. Attend or watch the lectures take notes and you will pass with flying colors, all the answers are right in her slides, sufficient time. Very caring and understanding. Also funny. Exams are entirely based on notes from the lectures, which are jam packed with information. This is synchronous with an asynchronous option if you cannot make it to the session, and discussion board assignments are easy to receive credit for. Topics are insightful, and she is easy to reach outside of class.

She is very knowledgeable about her field and tries to make sure that students are understanding the material. The three tests are staight from her lestures, so make sure to study those. The discussion boards are very easy and often are opinion responses.

One of the few classes I had left that I took with a great friend, she made the final touches of my last year at QC great. Her class was an elective for me, but it was easy. Do the assignments to par, and you get a good grade, same for exams. Loved the course, and loved how I spent the last few months as an undergrad in this class with my friend.

We met up once a week for an hour, but she gave one asynch lec a week (never more than an hour). 10 quizzes, 5 discussion posts, & 3 exams--all of which were easy. Professor Hanks is engaging and makes the material interesting. Exams are straightforward if you study the review sheets. Attendance is mandatory, but the in-class assignments are easy. Unstuckstudy was a lifesaver for preparing for the exams.

Best teacher this semester. Really cares about students and willing to help when needed. 6 in class assignments. Lectures not posted. If you pay attention in class and understand the material, the tests are pretty simple and straightforward.

So funny and sweet truly a memorable class to take. She is strong on her beliefs and has amazing lectures that don't stray from the topic. Her lectures aren't posted online, and neither are the slides, so you must attend class to pass. Only 3 exams, and there easy if you pay attention in class. She's an amazing professor, take her please!

So chill, her tests are easy and her lectures are acc interesting. She does do in person assignments so you cant just not go to her class everyday. Overall though shes amazing

Professor Hanks lectures are slides based but she does not share them but she goes fairly slow and explains everything clearly and answers any questions and will go back to slides. She does use profanity if you are not comfortable with that. A bunch of in-class group assignments but never hard. Tests are not tricky just need to know the info.

I love professor Sarah hanks! She is best! I recommend to yall I am taking her fourth time this semester in year 2

Professor Hanks is so nice and understanding. She doesn't mind going over and reviewing old topics so you can understand it better. She listens to you, like really listens. She is a fair grader - for example, when the whole class got a specific question wrong on the exam, she just automatically gave everyone an extra 2 points.

Sarah Hanks was an incredible professor. She explained the concepts very well and had experience and stories about some of the things she taught about. would take again 👍

Professor Hanks is awesome! She is very chill and her tests are easy. Everything is in her lectures, including the information you need to know from the readings. I didn't do the reading, and I still passed with flying colors. She's very down to Earth and patient, so long as you respect her. Overall. 12/10, would take again!

I am so excited to taking her this semester and she transferred school to go teach somewhere and I hope to taking few classes when I transfer back to qc in future! She is so sweet and amazing too!
