Drones on and on ... beatnik outlook, terrible.
Fun, easy, amusing. Good class.
great class, very easy, alot of class discussion, very interesting if your into philosophy, get's off topic alot, can be confusing at times, but that is philosophy.
Class was so easy. I only attended half the time and didn't study at all and got an A. The tests are so easy, multiple choice. She is a fun teacher, though, and her lectures are helpful.

She was a fun teacher to have. Told a lot of jokes and kept philosophy interesting!
great teacher, a hottie too. tells some funny stories, not really having to do with philosophy, but keeps the class interesting!
The coolest teacher I have had yet, knows her stuff and gets chalk all over. Cool lecture.

Enjoyable class
Hot teacher...easy class!
I wish I was Mr. Jones.
Relates well with students and makes phiosophy as interesting as she can.

I enjoyed her style of teaching. She is very clear on what she expects but only takes your grade on 3 tests so make sure you study for them.
Very cool teacher. We watched the Matrix in class. Had great examples to go along with everything, got good grades with just notes. Beautiful blue eyes, and sensitive. One class she started crying because her dog died. :(

She's a blast! Keeps the class very interesting and is always open to other students opinions. Class discussions are a bit part of class.
Loved the class (intro to philosophy) and loved Sarah. She enjoys when the class gets involved in discussions and doesn't mind getting off the subject a little bit. It's easy to fall in love with her.
Good professor; easy class. Watch out, though--she acts really goofy during night classes.
This class was cool. For the most part she is interesting and a good teacher. She does go off on tangents, but it's funny. The study guides outlined what was on the test; although the reading was boring, if you pay attention and do the work its okay.

Too much discussion not enough teaching.
Sarah is extremely knowledgeable about philosophy which makes listening to her interesting. Not to mention she's one of the hottest professor's on campus.
Too much class time is left for student discussion which becomes argumentative and unclear. She needs to take more time to explain and not play devil's adovocate. She is a very nice person though and great to talk to outside of class
Hate it... with a passion. Worst class EVER!
I'm not really sure why everyone loves this class. I HATED it. class, espcially night class, is generally very boring. She is always late and incorperates too much of her personal life in lectures. I was excited to get into the class but very disapointed in the outcome. Also to add..she's not hot.
Epistemology, interesting subject matter, horrible text, and at times too much discussion. However, I loved the material covered outside of the text and I think Sara provides constructive criticism on paper's and has a fairly intelligible approach to teaching Epistemology.
Very interesting class. I LOVE Prof. Jones, she's so funny, although that may just be because it's 9 AM, haha. The material is a little hard to understand at times, but that's a given since it is a philosophy course after all. Not too, too hard though, I highly recommend.
excellent
Hard and boring. Only good part is you can skip all the time without punishment. And to add the kids that say she was hot likly sat at the back of class
Easy class, good teacher.
Very hard to get ahead. Four exams, four grades, thats it. You pretty much know you failed after the first two exams. Dry as hell, always late, and i mean always late i never went to class and she was already there. Philosophy is bad anyway, but this was torture.
Good class. Get the reading done before hand and dont be distracted by how hippie hot your teacher is and an A in this class is very possible.
Great teacher, very nice as well.
Very good and interesting teacher
I really didn't like this class. She wasn't very helpful.I think that she could've done a better job explaining things. The exams are worded like they are made confuse you. She's always late for class because she sits in her jeep in the parking lot smoking cigs.No time to get help before class starts.I would not recommend taking a class with her.
Very intesting and easy to understand. Liked to keep class fun with the discussions
Sarah Jones was by far one of the best professors I've had in my college career. I wouldn't recomend this class if you want to skate by easily with an A and not show up to class, but if you need help or have something to say to her she makes time. I really enjoyed this class and I wish I were taking another one for winter.
Theres only 3 exams the semester and theyre right out of the book and easy. I quit going to class after the third week and I still got a B. It's all just "there is no spoon" stuff. Still, she lectures very well. She encourages discussion which can be fun but also pointless because of all the idiots in class who say stupid stuff.
The problem with this course was the way the exams were worded. Ever question seemed like a trick. I think you need to be really high to understand what she was talking about most of the time. I went to almost every class and spent the majority of the course thinking, "What she is talking about?"

This ruins my anonymity, but she took me to the APA conference twice. For this I am grateful. She may be a great teacher in the future. For now, she is a passable teacher.who brooks too little argument. Unlike Greene, on whom she seems to model classroom, she still thinks philosophy is absolute and immutable. I think she'll learn and I like he
Even for a philosophy teacher, Jones is pretty damn zany. When she's not trying to relate her dog eating its own leg to Descartes, she's rambling about nothingness and why the nothingness is important. Tough class. But... ask about the dog thing... actually a pretty awesome story.
Class is pretty boring, but not that hard. You can't use your laptops, which sucks. As long as you take down what she writes on the board, you will have what you need to do well on the test.
She cracks herself up at what may seem very...unfunny. Class is easy just learn how to think in the manners of each side to the subject and you'll do well. Take notes and show up to class.
Should not be teaching. One wonders how she was appointed any position. Must have been through a connection somehow.
too much discussion, not enough teaching, tests are reworded to death and seemingly simple but not, as stupid and simple as it seems, i recommend reading and studying still
on her test if there the last answer is has two of the other choices then pick it i promise it right uless u knw it is not.
Great professor, made Logic easy to understand and spent enough time on notes in class so everyone learned it. I got an A in the class, I won't say it was easy, but by working for it and studying the material, I pulled it off. A very intelligent woman, and as time went on I realized there's a certain sexiness about her.
She's a great teacher! I recommend to try to attend class as much as possible or you'll be lost the next time you show up.
Always late for class. takes forever to grade scan tron exams. I mean c'mon, how hard can it be to put them thru a computer?? useless to take notes in class..contradicts the book in her lectures. overall terrible experience
The class is easy whether you go to lecturs or not. It was very frustrating however with how often she would not show up to class or how late she would be. And often times you'd hear more about her personal life than about Philosophy. If you actually want to learn something I wouldn't suggest this class. But if you want an easy class then take it.

I felt like overall she ok: she would help with comprehension if you were lost and she seemed to know what she was talking about. However, she had a certain one-sidedness to her and had a certain hiddenly derogative way of putting down people who didn't agree with her view on subjects misusing terms like common sense & intelligence.
I took her online Pl180 class and it was useless. I took it for a liberal& I wish I would have never. I would read the book& do her study guides and still end up getting D's on her test. The exams are dumb and you think you've done fairly well until you actually see your grade. She also doesn't know how to spell or word things. Dont take this class
She is so unhelpful and I tried for over 2 weeks of nagging to get her help on something. It was an online class, and she said she would email you back within 2 days. I dropped within a day because she didn't even have the correct syllabus present. DO NOT waste your time on the class or her.
She is a very good teacher. This class isnt hard at all. You just have to show up, ask questions and study for the exams and you will do just fine. Her sense of humor sometimes isn't that funny but she tries to keep it entertaining! I think she does a great job teaching the material and helping you uderstand it. I recommend this class!
Philosophy is tough and if you aren't strong in it don't take Sarah's upper level classes, talking to her in person is almost always the best way to get questions answered but if you put in the effort to truly try and understand you will get a lot out of working with her. Better be damn good at essay writing to cause she has high expectations there
Dr. Jones was both informative and helpful with things regarding the material covered. Some parts of the class were dry but over-all it was a good class.
she blew out her back this last semester and was stuck on online courses. PL is a tough online class especially for the unversed. her wording is perfectly typical of philosophers which can make no sense to most people and her tests were perfectly inline with what the book and lectures said. She has her issues but isn't horrible
I got A's in all of my English classes and am a good writer. She gave me a 60% on my first philosophy paper, with comments that did not make sense and she was no help in revising papers. Out right said that it was an online course and she would not meet with us to help. Also doesn't email back in a timely manner, nor revises/grades papers timely.
Enthusiastic, excitable, and learned.
Enthusiastic, high energy, enjoyed the subject matter she was teaching
Hands down an absolute horror show. This woman has 0 personality is entitled&rude. She talks down to everyone&is truly emits a toxic/negative energy. The course material should have been enlightenin nd enjoyable but when u are dealin w/ someone like this there is simply no way to enjoy. Hands down the worse least personable woman I have ever met.
This has been one of the more well-organized online classes I have taken. However, in more than one of my papers and short answer questions I would answer the question fully and she would mark me down commenting that I didn't answer an entirely different question than the one she asked. It is like she expects you to read her mind. Impossible!
She was WAY to harsh of a grader. I got A's in all of my English classes, and she gave me a D on my first paper with comments that were completely unrelated to what she was criticizing. She words her questions so poorly that it is almost impossible to understand what she is asking. I would avoid her for a teacher whenever possible.
I'm taking her online course. Uhm, only 15 minutes for a quiz? And then she wants you to "write a short essay" in that time. Unrealistic. Also, her course is just you reading a book and her notes and studying for quizzes and exams. There are no discussions or interactivity. You will rarely hear from her except an occasional two sentence email.
Took the online philosophy class and would not recommend it. I didn't learn anything and just used the book while taking the online tests. Her lecture notes were a joke and the questions she asked on the quizzes and tests were worded in a confusing way, not to mention misspelling a lot of words. This class could have been so much more interesting.
Took the online philosophy class and it was a complete joke. I thought it was going to be an easy A and an interesting class but ended up dreading every bit of it. Takes forever to get back to emails. Quizzes and exams are impossible with amount of time given for questions with improper grammar, misspelled words, and answers all similar to another.
I am a typically an A student, I took Sarah's class throughout the summer and averaged 60's on my exams. I would never recommend taking her for an online class. She gives you study guides that do not pertain to the exam and does not lecture at all, therefore you must teach yourself everything. Very slow at responding to emails. VERY DISAPPOINTED
She cares about her students. If you are struggling reach out to her she will help
Do not take the online Philosophy class. Quizzes/tests are remarkably and unnecessarily difficult and I'm not the first to say so. You get the impression of being punished for taking an online class as if it equates to slacking or cheating. College classes are tough but this class with this professor is, in the simplest of terms, unfair.
This is a hard class. I'm an A student. I highly recommend you don't take this class. It is not a blow off, it's absurdly hard to get a good grade in. Tests frequently include the most vague, niche usage of terms. The test questions often have spelling mistakes. If you mess up one test, your grade will tank. The textbook is also pretty bad.
Unless you love philosophy and are majoring in it, I would recommend you avoid this class. Jones posts absolutely no lectures whatsoever, you literally teach yourself everything, which isn't the easiest thing to do when it comes to philosophy. The only time you will hear from her is when she reminds you of when the tests close.
Took this course online. Super easy. There wasn't a whole lot of information to study in educat so that could be a challenge but everything is online pretty much word for word to study on quizlet. Very straight forward if you just need it to meet a credit requirement.
Dr. Jones' online philosophy class was excellent! Weekly quizzes were manageable, and the readings were easier than in other philosophy courses I've taken. Optional forums fostered discussion, and her reminders for quizzes and exams were super helpful. She made the class engaging and easy to follow. Highly recommend her for intro philosophy!
Do not take this class if you want an easy online course. It is weighted on only quizzes and exams, with harsh time limits and complicated questions. She words the questions to make no sense, and be prepared to do lots of reading to not even understand the material.
