She is a very good teacher. She takes the chapters and summarizes them into her own handouts. She give fair warning and a review for what is going to be on all of the tests. If you ever need help she is there for you. Definately recommend her!

Very hard class, but a pretty good teacher. There is a LOT of work and studying to do if you want a decent grade. I would recommend her because her classes averaged 10% higher test grades than other classes.

If you know something about accounting, which I did you are in good shape, if not she will help you in different areas.

As long as you show up to class and do the homework, you can understand the material even if you don't know about acct. I changed majors from electrical engineering to accounting and still made an A. It was some work though.

Very easy, but is an Accounting Department drone. Final exam was too early and all other exams were inconvienient. Mrs. Yarbrough is great, but the accounting department sucks.

Great teacher! Made it interesting and as easy to understand as possible. Class moves pretty fast but she reviews before each test very well. There are a butt load of pop quizzes inbetween tests which are hard to be prepared for. Handouts tell everything you need to know. Be sure and don't get behind and tests aren't that bad at all.

Even though there are a ton of quizzes, she still teaches well. Most people who did bad did not take the time to do the homework problems. The exams are easy if you at least know some of the material. She wants her students to do well, and she will make things more clear for topics that are harder to understand.Does thorough reviews before exams

What a great teacher, if all my teacher can be as clear and helpful as she were I will be a happy camper. she gives lots of quizz but all you have to do is the home work and study her notes on the website she provide you with. Her website has a great source of information.

acct in general is tough. she does everything she can to help you do good, especially at the very end. best acct proffesor.

She is the grestest teacher i have seen. It is she taht let me understand what is accounting. She is a resposible teacher. She collect homework. She let the students work together. Her class is fun and interesting and also competitive.

She is a very funny person. Quiet voice, loud personality. I liked her approach. She also provided you with notes. Plenty of help awaits in SI and you will neeed it. She will help you if you come to her office. Do not send grammatically incorrect emails because she will make you resend them correctly.

Accounting is extremely hard in general and i spend more time doing work for this class than alllll my others COMBINED...NO JOKE!! she is a very good teacher though and does everything she can to help you understand. But most likely you will convince yourself that knowing how to do accounting is a skill only some people are born with...goood luck :

I would not be making it through accounting if i didn't have her as my professor. She has all her notes typed up on her website for you, organized and easy to understand.The homework, is really easy...online and you get 5 tries to get it right!!!!!! I had two other Acct I professor, she is the BEST!!!!!!!!

This course is only hard due to all the new terms and concepts taught. Reading is a must to do good on the exam. She types up handouts for every chapter that has good examples and overview. Attendance is not mandatory but she tries to punk you out if you are talking or try to leave in the middle of class. all in all she is a nice old lady.

Ms. Yarbrough is the best accounting teacher you will ever have! Her handouts are so helpful you really don't even need to read the book if you print those out and bring them to class. Just go to class and do the online HW and you should easily make an A or B.

Great teacher. Likes to embarrass students so watch out. Textbook is a waste of money since a copy comes with the required Wileyplus program that is used. I made an A in the class and NEVER opened the book. This class is not easy so study, do the [never-ending] homework, and study for tests/quizzes and you'll be fine.

First thing when you see her is she looks like a sweet grandmother. She is a very good teacher, explains everything throughly and gives out good notes. Quizes are a little tricky. If you miss a class, you will be lost. Print off handouts, go to SI, do all of the homework (Wiley and turn in), study all definitions. There is homework due every class, at least 1 or 2 quizzes in between every test(write out, not multiple choice), there is part 1&2 of a project, the test are a fair measure of what you're to know. A lot of work!

Well it's Accounting so right off u know it's going to be hard. I knew nothing about ACCT and was terrified to take the class, but I ended up making a B. Yarbrough makes it as easy as possible. I would recommend her over the other teachers. But it is hard work so be ready to STUDY and do lots of online homework.

Take HER CLasse... she's very clear and helpful.. the HANDOUTS are soo helpful and her study guides for the test will guarantee you at least a B... Do the Wiley homework it will clarify things for u and go to SI they are free and answer all ur questions.. this class gives all the resources and opportunities for you to get an "A" so take advantage

If you didnt do well in this class its because you didnt go to class, you didnt try hard enough, and you certainly didnt go to Supplemental Instruction. Such a sweet lady. Uses handouts so you can just fill in the blank in class & pay attention. The class was pretty hard for me - I was surprised I passed. I would recommend this class, though. She is extremely helpful (and so are the SI sessions!). Just be sure to put in a LOT of work for this class!

Took for Spring '10. She's a really good teacher. You understand everything she says, but I highly recommend you to do what she says. She knows the stuff. Go to class, the usual. And make sure you have your clicker, you're going to use it every class.

The cutest little thing with a bubbly attitude. This class is homework intensive, but it helps with the exams. She thoroughly explains everything and even goes over the exams to clear up any confusion. She really wants her students to learn and her teaching style is effective. I love this professor and would recommend her.

SO FAR SO GOOD. At first shes gives u a ton of HW assignments in Moodle that are graded. Test are kinda HARD but if you study you'll do okay. She gives fill in the blank notes which makes it really easy to follow along in class and actually learn and comprehend the information. Go to class, do the HW and Connect Ass... and you should do ok......

She does assign a lot of work but it's only to help you understand the material. The tests are hard but she does offer a lot of tutoring. I barely passed with a B, but that's thanks to showing up to class and doing assigned work. The tests kicked my ass. Unless you can handle the commitment and workload, don't take her.

She is absolutely adorable. Although there was a lot of work it was ALL helpful. She gives you several ways to study so if you fail then it truly is your own fault. She is always willing to help and if she can't she will refer you to someone. She is very understanding but I can't lie she has a little bite to her so don't try to get over on her.

Really enjoyed her class! She is nice and very helpful. I recommend reading the book as much as you can! At least read the first four chapters so you get a good foundation on the basics. Her handouts were great. Also enjoyed using Connect.

this class is not easy if you have never had accounting in high school. a lot of work required. however, if you put effort into the homework and quizzes, you'll be fine for the tests (all multiple choice and no trick questions). she assumes you know nothing and dumbs down the material really well. if you fail, it is really your own fault.

Personally, I loved Professor Yarbrough. Not going to lie, her class is a lot of work (homework, online quizzes, tests, clicker questions, and an easy project), but it's all meant to help you better understand the material. If you go to class, pay attention and put effort into understanding the material, you should get at least a B, I made an A.

You will have homework multiple times a week, attendance is mandatory, and tests are difficult. But the material will be forced into your head if you do it.

After missing only 5 Wiley assignments, out of 50 something, my grade dropped significantly due to how they were weighted individually. Keep up with the hw, do the quizzes using your book, and actually try on the clicker questions.

Professor Yarbrough cares a lot about her students. Be prepared for a giant amount of homework though. Show up to class, do your homework, and study and you should do great in her class.

She loves her students and she loves to teach. The homework, tests, and quizzes were challenging. You best bet is to actually read the book and take good notes. Uses clicker. You have to give the class a lot of time or you will fail. Gives a cushion of points at the end of the semester. Still you have to study your tail off for it.

Professor Yarbrough is a professor who actually knows how to teach. That's a rare commodity these days. Her class is a lot of work and there is a lot of homework, but every piece of it is important. If you slack, you will fall behind and start getting bad grades. If you work ahead and pay attention, then you won't have any problem at all.

This lady is the best the Accounting department has to offer. If you fail this class it is because you did not try. She assigns a lot of work but you really need that amount to learn the material. The math part is easy but the concepts make the subject hard.
