Sarah is a really great teacher. The class was interesting, fun and low stress. The textbook was not mandatory and the only homework was four short papers. I definitely recommend her for non-anthropology majors who have a general interest in the subject!
Such a great teacher, not a lot like her out there! She is very clear with her assignments and power-points. No tricks, all of her tests are reviewed before the test with a study guide. She really tries to make sure her students understand the material. Come to class, take notes and you'll have no problem getting an A! Highly Recommend her!
Prof. Muno loves her field. Very excited to discuss it and knows a lot. Class is very, very easy. All material is reviewed before the test and THERE IS NO TEXTBOOK REQUIRED. Very nice, easy to approach if you need to be absent. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, especially for summer.
Super easy, super interesting, and she was super nice. I highly recommend this class
She is super easy, super interesting, and super nice. I highly recommend this class
She didn't require we buy the book and said as long as we take good notes we will pass, she also had the powerpoint slides on canvas. She is a GREAT professor and i would definitely recommend her!!!!!!
Her class is really easy. Lectures are interesting. She gives study guides for the tests and everything on the test is on there, nothing more. Just know the study guide and you will be golden
Very easy class. For tests she gives you a study guide and its basically the test. Very few homework assignments and she gives you chances for extra credit. Her lectures are interesting and i highly recommend this class.
Easiest A I ever worked for. And I took her in summer with another class at same time still easiest I have ever had just study for test
Took this class in Summer '15. Professor Muno is very straight to the point in her expectations, lectures, assignments, and test. She provides you with all the tools to succeed in her class and offers an extra credit opportunity. I really enjoyed this class, she tries to avoid making it dry and boring. (Snork assigment was really fun.)
Great class, Prof Muno tries to make it interesting with fun in class assignments and related videos. She doesn't waste your time and lets you know in advance if class is canceled. She has mix of exams and short (2 pg) papers so if you aren't good at one you always have the other to excel. Plus, she is super approachable.
Prod Muno is really nice and sweet. She's also very energetic. I had a morning class with her and she always had great energy. The class was pretty easy. no textbook needed! She does these fun in class activities, which I actually looked forward to. mostly lecture tho.
took my first Anthro lab course with her. What we learned in that class was mostly related to bones and identification of primates' bones. I was worried about the class materials at first since everything was new to me but she's very nice and always there to answer students' questions. tests and quizzes were not hard as long as YOU STUDY&READ.
All around great teacher, got me interested in Anthropology. Very knowledgable in the subject, and makes students' lives very easy. Very clear, straightforward, no tricks tests. Provides excellent study guides. Take notes from lectures and study and you'll be fine. Would absolutely take again.
Her class is very enjoyable. There are 5 ICA during the semester. She is very good at responding emails. She also guides you through the class. Don't be afraid to ask her any questions because she is very easy to talk too.
Very approachable, likes to make sure her students understand the material.
Amazing and fun professor. Showing up, reading a current event and reporting on it matter. All homework is either current event papers or class group projects. No take home homework & no textbook (except the lab, a workbook, all done in class.) PowerPoint lectures & she is always fair and very knowledgeable. This professor really cares!
The class was pretty hard but it was manageable. She gave you the study guides that basically told you what was going to be on the quizzes and tests. The material got harder towards the end of the course. The textbook is mandatory since you use the book a lot during class for labs.
I recommend students to take her class because she is so enthusiastic about the topic and her power points are very informative. I enjoyed taking her class and she is very nice.
It helps to be in class. Specially on days before quizzes and tests.
One of the best professors at PCC. Very knowledgeable about evolution and archeology. Always available for feedback and help. Offers extra credit assignments
I had an easy time in this class. From the start she was a kind, considerate professor. Didnt have to buy a textbook. Little to no homework. She gives very clear study guides, so you'll know exactly what to study + most of it will be from her powerpoints. The material is interesting! Try not to miss class or you'll miss out on lectures/activities.
Awesome teacher. Explains information in a way you will understand. She wants you to get a good grade. She gives you study guides for quizzes!
Great Professor, gives study guides! Highly recommend her!
Professor Muno is amazing! Without her I dont think I would have passed Anthropology! She gives great extra credit opportunities and I highly recommend her!! Very caring and understanding towards her students. A lot of information from lectures you gotta memorize but its easy to remember.
Professor Muno is incredible. I took her in Spring 2017, and got 101% in her class. Her study guides and powerpoints are exactly whats on the tests, so just make sure to memorize your information. A lot of extra credit opportunities.
super fun and easy class 10/10 would recommend
I took Prof Muno for Anthro 001 a few terms ago and it was so hard. There was a lot of homework and hard to keep up. You really need to be on top of your schedule to keep up with this class.
I just finished taking her for winter and it was very fun & not hard at all. She gives a lot of power points and has them available on canvas which is good if you're absent. She gives extra credit. Overall, if you try and study you'll for sure an "A". She explains things very well & learned a lot from her class
Professor Muno has writing assignments and she gave you feedback so you can improve your paper and get a good score on it. She uses powerpoint and she explains much more as she goes through the slides so even if it's on canvas it's not the same as in person. I highly recommend prof. Muno for anthropology 1. Very great person, very great professor!
I took her class in the winter and it was amazing. She was nice and caring. The powerpoints were on Canvas just in case you're absent. The ICA's and RRP were easy to do. Gives study guides for exams, it's a lot but easy to remember and understand. She even gives extra credit on the test. I got a 99% in her class. I definitely recommend her!
I just finished this class and it was harder than her lecture class. I didn't buy the book but there was material you need to know from it to do well for quizzes and practicums. For the labs, I use an app called Camscanner to get the clear pages from friends and print them. You don't need to have correct answers for them but fill all the questions.
Professor Muno is a PCC gem! Shes caring and supportive and its relatively easy to get a good grade in her class as long as you study the material. I took her spring physical anthropology class and what I found helpful is that she is super organized when it comes to grading criteria and was fast when it came to grading assignments. Take Her!!!!!!
Easy class, easy A! take her!
Took anthro 1 lab with her and it was alright. Shes very nice and the class is chill but I found the practicums to be pretty difficult. Overall its an easy course
I failed both Practicums and still got a B. Just show up and do all the classwork and youre good. She also bumped my grade up. Shes awesome.
She is super cool and amazing! The only negative thing is the quizzes every other week. But overall she is lovely and not a hard grader. Take her but dont take a math class as it will be a little overwhelming.
She is the kindest professor in PCC, and if you even worked a little bit you should get an A. I was so lucky that her class was open this semester when I registered. Take her, you will thank yourself later.
Sweetest professor you will ever meet! Also super easy! The class consists of lectures and in-class activities which are fun and easy. You have 5, 1-2 page reading response papers due throughout the semester, but it is more than doable. No test besides midterm and final, which were basically the copy of the study guide.
Very straightforward class. Show up, take clear notes, put in some effort and you should end up with a solid A. She sets very clear grading criteria for the exams. No surprises. She is also very sweet and approachable. Undoubtedly, this is a solid choice for Anthropology. Grade mainly comprises of reading responses and completion of class activity.
Nice teacher! I like this class very much. She is an easy grader except for the homeworks because she checks grammar mistakes and typos for each RRP. However, she gives another chance to fix the mistakes. For the midterm and final, she gives you study guide and it is exact same with the tests. Overall, this class is an easy A.
Her lectures change our perceptions about past and current topics related to anthropology. Always available to assist with developing a better understanding of the topics. Uses in-class activities to raise awareness about the challenges we face in anthropology. Demonstrates why we need to be cognitive of the field as we advance in our careers.
Good professor. She gives 6 short writing assignments with two journals in whole semester. Extra credit is available and helpful. No quiz, only midterm and final which the answers will be given.
Professor Muno is incredibly organized, which makes learning very easy. In her powerpoints, she presents information very systematically. For exams, she will tell you exactly what to expect. If you pay attention to her lectures and complete the study guides, earning an A is very feasible.
CHOOSE HER FOR ANTHRO LAB AN LECTURE SHE IS AMAZING, FUNNY, AND SO EASY TO TALK TO!!! i would take her class again anytime shes so cool and clear criteria. As long as u put the work in she will help you pass
The best teacher I have ever had, and I'm not exaggerating. She is very knowledgeable about the subject and does an exceptional job of explaining everything. She is very organized and punctual with everything. You get half of the answers for the midterm and final before the tests. Do yourself a favor and take her class, you will not regret it.
I marked attendance as non-mandatory, nonetheless if you attend every class and do the in class activities she will give you extra credit. She's an amazing professor and person overall.
Sarah is the professor to take if you want to take Anthropology. She is very very friendly and helpful. I love the way she teaches
One of the best & easiest class I've ever taken. Lectures were straight forward. Reading the textbook helps, but honestly you can pass without it (it is handy though). Dr Muno shows you exactly what's going to be on the test, even the final, and accepts close enough answers so you don't have to worry about memorizing the exact scientific names.
Very approachable and will answer any questions you have and is very straightforward. Gives you everything you need to know for the quizzes and test and has prep days for tests. You don't have to buy the textbook, I photocopied the labs from the library. Make friends and it will be much easier. Extra credit from zoo trips. Pay attention in lecture
Prof. Muno is probably one of the best professors in PCC! She's knowledgable about the subject and is very organized. She's really caring and fair toward her students. There were 6 short reading responses essays and only two exams (midterm and final) for the whole semester, and they're really easy. Just pay attention in class and you'll easily pass
Professor Muno is really sweet and loves Anthro. I took her Archaeology class when it was her first time teaching it. The class is an easy A if you make sure to show up on the lab days, which she strictly stays on schedule with and are in the syllabus. She gives the entire tests in the study guide, so fill it out and memorize and you'll be fine.
clear lectures, she is so nice! 3 responses, you can email your drafts to her. even if we are having remote instructions, our lectures are still super clear!!
Such a easy class, and she's so sweet. Easy A and you won't dread it.
I adored Dr. Muno's class. Her passion for the subject is obvious in all her lectures. Even if the course material is challenging, she goes above and beyond to ensure you have a good grasp. I took both this class and her Lab online, and even if it makes you work, assignments are doable if you do the reading and put in the effort. Plus no textbook!
Overall an amazing professor who's very passionate about anthropology and gives you many opportunities to succeed in her class. Took her for spring term during the quarantine. Pros: - EXTRA CREDITS - easy tests - fun activities instead of a boring writing prompt - easy A - really kind - always willing to help Cons: - none
Professor Muno is truly amazing! She is very organized and will help you succeed. I was impressed how effectively she transitioned into online learning during Covid-19. Class was graded on activities, two essays, and two exams; it was not difficult to earn a desirable grade (she helps a lot). Take her class! She is great!
I took both lecture and lab with Professor Muno. Although the course is lecture heavy, she breaks it down in ways that are easy to understand. She also makes time for students to work together to gain a better grasp of the material in group settings.
GREAT PROFESSOR!
This class was my favorite online class this semester! She is so caring and sweet, and you can really tell she put time into creating a fun and well organized online class. I always felt that the assignments were pretty well balanced and never too excessive. She also gives back great feedback on all your first drafts. It was a great class!
Dr. Muno is an absolute sweetheart. She cares for all of her students, and the courseload is definitely manageable. Lectures are very easy to follow!
Dr. Muno is one of the nicest professors I've met at PCC. Labs are interesting and aren't difficult so long as you read the modules. Hint: go to office hours if you are having problems with a lab. I learned a lot. I wish she taught more anthropology classes. Trust me, take her class, you won't regret it.
The professor is amazing and nice. The content can be a little hard, but shes willing to help and is good at communication. Shes very sweet and nice
There are 4 essays, and two tests of midterm and final. plenty of time to do her work, and unlimited time to take quizzes, the tests are based on quizzes and she will provide study guide. Easy an A, but have to do work!!!
PROFESSOR MUNO SUCH A LOVELY PERSON! She put a lot of work into the class (recorded live lectures, wonderfully explained module pages, helpful feedback) and always made herself available to students. She was born to teach! Prof. Muno is a great choice for honors students:)
You can tell Dr. Muno cares a lot about what she teaches. If you watch the Zoom lectures, you will do fine on the quizzes and tests. If not, good luck. Make sure you really listen to what she says and if you can, start a study group and make study guides! It got me through the class. This was harder than a regular Anthro class, by the way.
By far my favourite professor on campus, she is really passionate about what she teaches and makes her students want to pay attention. The material is a lot though, especially when taking the lab. You'll want to spent time studying if you want to get a good grade in this class, and she is accessible outside of class for help.
You can tell that prof Muno has passion for what shes teaching. Her breakdown & delivery of lectures makes it extremely easy to follow that you just want to attend class everyday. She provides you with all the necessary resources via links/pdfs in Canvas. Grade is composed of two essays, midterm, final, ICAS (weekly assignments). All super doable
Professor makes lectures interesting. Exams are straightforward. I enjoy her class and would like to take another class with her.
Amazing professor. Just take notes. Easy exams and she gives you the guide beforehand to prepare. Its honestly an easy A if you submit assignments on time!
Professor Muno is probably one of the best professor I've taken. Her class is super straight forward and they're not test heavy at all. She makes it so that all of the stuff that you turn in over the semester creates a safety net so even if you're not a good test taker you can still get a good grade in her class. Take her, she's the best!
Muno is one of the coolest professors at PCC. She puts in a ton of effort to make her class fun and entertaining. She grades pretty leniently and cares more about your learning outcome than your exam performance. Take her!
Dr. Muno is knowledgeable, accessible, and approachable. She makes anthropology interesting. Classwork is straightforward and manageable, normally two assignments per week (1 in-class and 1 homework). To do well, attend class and take notes. Reach out to Dr. Muno if you do not understand anything or need help, she is easy to talk to and understand.
This review is for the 1 unit Lab for anthropology. You have 2 labs u can make up with no penalty if ur absent , and u have 1 online quiz and 1 assignment per week...that u have multiple chances on. Super easy A while she makes everything easy to learn. We learned the entire skeleton without feeling bored Super sweet professor please take her !
I absolutely loved Professor Muno!! She was so sweet and showed that she truly cares about her students. Certain labs were a little harder than others, but she would be more than happy to help. She explains things so thoroughly which makes the material easier to understand. Definitely one of my favorite professors :)
Professor Muno is a great instructor who loves what she teaches and encourages everyone in the class to be comfortable as well as open to asking any questions that can help their individual learning experiences. Tests are fairly simple with multiple choice and a couple fill-in-the-blanks, would recommend going over notes and classwork beforehand.
Her lectures were absolutely amazing, very precise and to the point. You obviously need to do the work to get the credit but she is more than willing to help if you have any questions, and will help you until you understand!
This was one of the best classes I took at PCC. I took it as a lab, though there is also a lecture class separate from the lab. I could do the lab by myself. However, she will help and advise if you don't understand something. Be prepared to have a quiz and lab every week. However, you can retake the quiz repeatedly until you get 100%.
Professor Muno is amazing! She is very kind and willing to go above and beyond for her students. She inspired me to peruse a career in anthropology.
Dr. Muno is such an amazing professor! I took her 1-unit Anthro lab class and it was honestly so nice! She's super sweet and willing to let you make up labs for full credit. Super accessible outside of class and she has really clear grading criteria. As long as you do the pre-lab quizzes (10 attempts each) and do all the labs, you will be fine!
She's very cool and knowledgeable. Always willing to help out.
She is literally my favorite professor ever. Professor Muno was also the one who inspired me to become an anthropology major, her lectures are just absolutely amazing and you can tell she likes what she does. She's such an enthusiastic professor and teaches so well. I recommend her for sure!!
The GOAT of anthropology professors. Every class was enjoyable with her and she teaches anthro in a way that makes it super interesting. Tests are a bit unorthodox and involve moving from station to station with each one having a different question. Incredibly kind and cares for her students. If you have a lab requirement, look no further. Easy A.
BEST TEACHER EVER!!! She is very kind and always encouraging us to learn knowledge, and I can tell that she truly love what she teaches. There are midterm and final per semester, several in-class activities and worksheets(which are easy and interesting). She gives study guides before the exams and she discuss them during the class.
Very flexible with catching up with assignments. Open communication with class work, and studying materials. Whole class got 1 question wrong on mid term, so she changes the grade to not land a heavy impact on overall. very kind, caring, and has open communication.
Her class was super easy. She is super nice and caring from what I picked up at office hours. Very well formatted class and only 2 assignments a week, both always due at the same day of every week. Honors project was not too difficult, if you choose to do it, and she helps a lot during the entire process. Would recommend this class.
Absolutely GOATED. I took both of Prof. Muno's Anthro 1 & lab course & loved every minute of it. She's engaging, passionate, organized, thorough, & truly wants you to have fun and learn the course's content. If you don't understand something, she's quick to help & make sure you leave understanding the material.
Fan-tas-tic. Prof. Muno cares so much about what she's teaching and, by proxy, you. She's truly hilarious, and weaves it into her lectures flawlessly. I took her lab course, which is the definitive way to take the class at PCC, easily. Super engaging. You will learn a lot. The hands-on experience brings anthro to life in such a special way. A1 Prof
Took it simultaneously with lab. Muno is very kind, she makes the class about learning, and the grades are secondary. Stemming from that, it is extremely easy to get an A in her class as she makes the learning process simple. She is also a very curious person, so if you like asking questions, she is right up that alley.
She is compassionate, caring, and very understanding. Her class is well-organized, with manageable assignments and clear expectations. She provides helpful guidance, especially during office hours, and supports students throughout course. Her class is highly recommended for a positive and stress-free learning experience.
