Very nice and easy. She gives a lot of easy extra credit assignments. Shows a lot of movies and is very helpfull.

Online course was very self-paced. She offered help if you contacted her. It was a very basic course, most of the info was basic and already known.

I LOVED her class, I'm not really sure what some of these people are saying! I had her for both CJ1 and 51! if I could I would take her for all my CJ classes! VERY helpful, willing to help as much as she can, tests are EASY!!! and there really are only 2 a sem. not that much HW at most it is like 3-4 a sem. take notes and get an A

Everytime I take a Criminal Justice class - I take S. Nordin's classes. Her blunt realism makes the class interesting. Doesnt grade too hard, just do the work. Total thumbs up.

Mrs. Nordin is one of the best teachers I've had. Class is always interesting. We have a lot of interactive things to do. Her tests aren't easy, but if you study, you'll do fine. You can easily get extra credit. I've had her for the past two semesters and I plan on taking more of her classes. I highly recommend her.

This was a good class. Nordin kept it interesting and relevant. She made sure everyone was awake with constant prostitution references. She seems to know her stuff. Grades came from a few easy tests, and there were plenty of EC opportunities. I would recommend this class.

Wow, this teacher is the best for any criminal justice class. I've taken all the majors with Prof. Nordin except two that she wasn't assigned to teach. Come to class, take notes, and you will pass (A). She makes the class interesting, and is very knowledgeable of her teaching.

I love her classes very funny teacher and keeps the subject interesting. Mrs. Nordin mixes the class up with PowerPoint, videos, movies, slides, and animated games, which helps from being boring. She is tough on attendance after 3 absences she takes point off of your grade, but if you do all of your homework, and extra credit you can get a A.

Very good teacher. I took her CJ01, CJ51 and CJ58 classes back to back. As I previously said they are very easy classes to take with her. Do Not buy the text books for her class, you will not need them often maybe 3 times. The only book you need for her class is the workbook.

I took her class online. Her class is very easy. There is a discussion each week, and sometimes a written assignment (which is really easy). You can do the discussion and if there is a written assignment within 15 minutes and you would be done for the week. Tests are easy. You have enough time and you get 2 tries (she takes highest grade). Easy A

Easiest A EVER. Doesn't require responses to other classmates, only touches the book ONCE, tests are basic CJ questions that can easily be found online. Homework and tests are all due on the same day every week. Most "homework assignments" require less than a paragraph response. Easy grader. Final is two short answer questions about CJ situations.

Nodrin was one of my favorite professors at Solano because she's so laid back and funny. She would always tell personal stories. I came in 10-20 minutes late every class and she didn't care. There's hardly any homework, no quizzes, and the tests aren't that hard. She did half take home tests and half in-class. Assignments are super easy and short.

Nordin is hella funny. She isn't afraid to put anyone on blast or cuss you out. All the assignments and tests were easy. Overall, I would love to take her class again. She tells really funny stories during lecture. Nordin doesn't care if you come in late just be there at the end of class bc thats when she take role for the class.

Discussion are important, but she gives you a chart on how she grades your participation on the discussions, so it is pretty easy as long as you stick to her guidelines. Tests are easy, read the book and you will be fine.

I barely opened up the textbook the whole semester until the final passed the class with an A 90%, attendance Is part of your grade she marks you down even if you're late. 4 tests, participation, attendance, and the final is what makes up your final grade. Also marks you down for being on your phone.

There are weekly assignments, just turn them in a few days before the due date to get full credit. You will need the book for open book exams. Nordins expectations are clear and the workload is manageable. I strongly recommend taking this course with her.

I took this class over the summer and it is one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. Everything is organized on canvas and the assignments are nicely spaced out making it very easy to go through. As long as you read the textbook and do your assignments, you'll be fine.

Mrs. Nordin is pretty chill, you just have to look through the textbook and save the summaries and go through the key terms because those are pretty helpful if you don't want to read too much. Her assignments are easy to do. You just have to always remember the due dates. She does not take any late work at all.

This professor is outstanding in so many ways. She answers emails in a timely manner, has a clear rubric on how she is grading, assignments are relatively easy and tests are fairly easy so long as you do your reading from the textbook and take notes on the reading. I took Criminal Justice 53 over summer and I found the class really fun because of what Professor Nordin had us look into and read about. As well as the chapter book you read through that she provides that talks about the details of a case. As long as you do the work you should be fine. I would take her again and she is a lenient grader.

I took two classes with Professor Nordin during Summer 2022 and absolutely loved the layout of her class! She is a SUPER lenient grader with open-book policy for exams with up to two attempts each, not including the final exams. She really wants to see her students succeed and is very knowledgeable. Amazing professor!! the assignments were not as hard as I expected; you learned much about law enforcement, criminal law, and other law-related topics. discussions are every week and very easy to attempt. no missing assignments unless a medical emergency or if you or your family are in the military. Overall, a very easy professor!! :)

Professor Nordin was an amazing teacher, this is the third online course that I've taken with her and passed. all her assignments, quizzes, and exams are straight out of the textbook. There's no way you can fail her class unless you don't turn in assignments. Professor makes her assignments clear and grades fast so your grade is always accurate.

I took this class in January along with CJ058. The textbooks are tough, if you are just coming out of High School, please be prepared to take in a lot of information. Professor Nordin's homework is easy and just have Quizlet ready when taking a test. I passed with 100% on the final! You can do this!

If you need an easy A then take this class. Most of the assignments just ask your opinion on things instead of asking you what you have learned. I don't feel like I learned a lot. Extra credit is available multiple times. Very easy to get 100% grade or higher. Make sure to turn things in early because she deducts points even before the due date.

Absolutely loved taking CJ001 with her!!! Super fun discussions, no long draining papers. The only reason I didn't pass with an A is because I didn't study for exams enough, but other then that 10/10 would do it over and over.

The schedule was consistent every week; discussions, tests, and assignments had clear due dates and was due the same days every week. I am a full-time student and full-time worker, so consistent schedules are always appreciated. Professor Nordin was also really kind, understanding, and helpful when I had a problem with the first exam due to canvas.

This instructor made the class very easy. As long as you followed the rubric on the assignments you will get an A. Her assignments are easy and there's not a lot of work that she gives out. If you are wanting to actually learn a lot in criminal justice, I would suggest a different instructor. But other than that, she's really easy.

I had her in person. Super sweet and fun lectures. Gives many examples for concept understanding. Watched a lot of videos in the lecture. Quizzes were okay. The final was writing a paragraph per question (only 2). Gave us the final questions beforehand so you can plan out your answer before the actual final!
