Dr. Stone should have your job!! Poor teacher. Boring, identity crisis. You learn nothing.

Do not take her class. Some of the stuff she tells us just to make a point and they aren't true. If you ask a question about something, the information changes from the first time it was told to us.

terrible teacher! The class would be interesting if she presented the material in a different manner, but her thoughts and notes are unclear! Definitely don't recommend taking her--the class is fine, but she's aweful!

From the first day of class, I hated it. It is very difficult to learn anything from a "PhD" that you seem to outclass in intellect. The denture and drool comments are true, but let's not forget the crotch rubbing and greasy hair.

She is the worst teacher that I have ever had, test questions have to be thrown out and she says she is not trying to change your opinion, YA RIGHT, you have to be her, in her mind, she even calls people **** when someone trys to give their point

She was the worst profesor that I have ever had. She was lazy and unorganized. She would throw out questions from the test because the students would correct her. How she has the title of Dr. amazes me.

I think I found the worst professor on campus. It's required for Gen. Ed. and its really not difficult, but she is awful. How is she a doctor?

The worst professor I have ever have-- she's not only hard to understand because she refuses to wear dentures, but she also rambles confusedly. She lets long pauses continue when discussions flop, and her tests are utterly ridiculous.

This was an annoying class. She always tried to encourage students to share their opinions, but once they did, she'd always jump all over them/ shut them down. Friend used to ask me, "Ready for another day of 'White Man's the Devil?'"

Really needs to master the material better. Another Affirmative Action quota filled. Too bad the students lose!!

A somewhat lazy professor...she makes unnecessary racial comments, about whites and not-whites, with nothing to back them up. She is an inconsistent grader and grades 15% on participation, yet doesn't know any of the students names.

The class is very easy. However, she is messy and will never let you be right. She also loses peoples papers and gives them incorrect grades. Only take her if you have to!!!!

Is a horrible teacher..gives you the wrong grade and then argues about it with you...i thought it was an easy A until i got my grade...doesn't know how to teach and is very unorganized...she loses peoples paper, ones that she doesnt even read...

One of the easiest possible classes you can take. It is incredibly boring but you will get an A or AB. I'm not the brightest person in the world but if you show up to class and write down the random things she puts on the board, you will get at least a B on the exam. GPA booster for sure!

By far the worst teacher I have ever had. Basically all she does is list inaccurate facts that you have to accept. Overall this course is pretty easy (multiple choice tests and two short papers) but she likes to test on obscure parts of the readings that she never mentions in lecture. Dont take her!

What a worthless class. I learned a lot more about minority groups by tutoring them than I did sitting in this class. Mainly talks about black and native american opression when hmong and hispanic are the groups we would encounter most on campus. Class is easy. She loses papers, takes forever to get tests back, and is unorganized. Easy A

This is the worst teacher I have ever had. She talks with her hands infront of her mouth and no one can understand what she is saying. Even if someone proves her wrong she will find a way to be right. I fall asleep everyday because it is soooo boring:(

horrible teacher, she doesnt offer proof for any of her claims. she contradicts herself on everything she says as well. hard to learn anything in this class when the teacher doesnt know what she's talking about.

Its not really worth fighting her because she will find a way to be right. She is a relatively easy teacher but I would recommend avoiding her because spending 3 hours a week with her was horrible. I second everything else on here about her- horrible grader and organizer, so keep on top of that

This is a ridiculously BORING class, omg, i have fallen asleep many times, wow..she is a slow talker-always late for class, her tests are bad-hard as heck--info that is surprising on tests.:(

this lady is crazy. a straight up NUT JOB. honestly. her test questions are confusing, she doesn't know how to use powerpoint, and you'll be lucky if she gets in 60 words during the hour you have to sit there because she talks SO SLOW

very boring class...very boring professor, although, she wears really weird clothes so its fun to see what color combination comes up...assigns readings but most questions on tests are common sense

Interesting lady... but very boring. I looked all semester for her teeth, and I never saw any.

This class was great... until Shillinger came back from medical leave. Once she came back, it was boring. She is VERY VERY biased not to mention hates white people. It was a bore to sit through this class, I hated it. Although it was an easy A. DO NOT TAKE if you can help it.

Pointless class. She teaches her own viewpoints. Tests are based on unknown and barely covered material. Class was a waste of time and mandatory. Worst class I have taken yet.

DO NOT take this class with this professor. Although it's fairly easy, it's almost impossible to stay awake during her lectures. If she catches you doing anything other than paying attention (sleeping, doodling, daydreaming) she will stop the class until you are paying attention. I couldn't stand this professor, and I wouldn't recommend her.

She is the absolute worst and kinda looks like Grumpy cat. She is opinionated and rude and asked for students to speak their opinion by throwing "Mr. Talkie"(a stuffed cat) at you. When you give her your opinion she says you're wrong humiliates you in front of the class and then continues to get farther off topic. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH HER!

She was a terrible professor at best. If you do not pay attention, she will throw a plush cat at you. Much of what is on her exams, is not discussed in class.

She has no lesson plan ever. She goes off on random rants about things that don't really have to do with what we are talking about. She makes us read out of the book, but none of what she goes over in class has to do with the book. Her lectures are about random topics and they don't link to each other. She throws a stuff cat to get people to talk.

Lectures are boring and off-topic. Lots of reading that never shows up in class but are on tests. Doesn't really understand how to use a computer. We are usually behind schedule.

Shillinger is not a good prof. She will give lectures that are not related to the readings and talks about current events more than the actual material. She talks way too quiet and gets mad when you don't have a question. Throws a stuffed cat at students to talk. Tests are not clear. Do not recommend.

Horrible!! Doesnt actually teach you anything and instead talks at you in a monotone voice the whole class. Would recommend trying to take someone else for sure.

Here is how to get a good grade in this class: Read the textbook, read the articles she assigns, take down notes in class, and ask questions when you have them. Her lectures are painfully boring and her tests make no sense so if you can take someone else, DO IT, but if you have to suffer through this class with her it is possibly to do well.

Sarah Shillinger is possibly the worst professor in the state of Wisconsin. ERS 100 is a very easy class and you can probably still get an A if you take her, however, I would highly recommend avoiding her. Going to her lecture like pulling teeth (not to mention sometimes she forgets to put hers in) and you are graded on few things.

She is knowledgeable about the subject matter she teaches on but that is about the only good thing I have to say about her. If you ask a question, she answers in a defensive and hostile tone. There is no room for dissenting view points in her class. Month long turn around to return multiple choice test. Do not recommend her at all

Dr. Shillinger is very disorganized and has unclear instructions and grading criteria. She can be a tough grader, and her tests make no sense. It takes her a long time to put things in the gradebook. I would recommend not taking her given a choice.

Terrible teacher, most of the stuff she talks about she knows but half the time she uses crap sources that you can disprove by 10 articles in a matter of a minute on google (which is exactly where she gets her sources). Dont try studying for tests because she puts whatever she wants on them, nothing to do with lectures

Probably the worst teacher Ive had on any level of education. Lectures will put you to sleep, and when nobody talks during class she throws a ball at you and says, What are you thinking? She also messed up grading tests and refused to change grades even after almost all the students complained to her. Awful awful professor.

Literally the WORST. Lectures put you to sleep when she starts to talk about stuff not really related to the topic. Not clear about what actually needs to be taught and what will be tested. Tests are ridiculous because the review sheets are unhelpful and answer options for questions make it more difficult to actually get the correct answer.

Terrible, do not take any classes with her.

Worst professor I have ever had. For a gen ed it is way harder than it needs to be. Nothing on the exams is really talked about in class. She also can't figure out how to use a computer and half the time things aren't posted on canvas that are suppose to be. Most of the wording on the exams makes no sense as well.

WAY too difficult as a general education course. Has tons of errors in her quizzes and tests which can make them confusing, sometimes you don't even know what topics she's talking about on them.

Easily the worst professor I've ever had. Lectures are boring and long and she can barely use a computer. To get her students to participate she throws a stuffed animal at students. Due dates very unclear. There was multiple due dates for the final paper and I submitted it a few days late and still got 100%. Easy A but is so painful.

DO NOT TAKE ANY OF HER CLASSES. Does not communicate with students. Syllabus is not updated. Assignments were never assigned but still held a grade weight in course. Easy A but was confusing and frustrating. Class is only based off assigned reading and weekly quizzes. Quizzes had grammatical errors and did not pertain to content.

Still hasn't graded most of my assignments from the beginning of the semester. Constant spelling errors, all of the info is out of date, would not respond to emails for weeks and when she did she just reworded the question into a no-answer answer. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS

Dr. Shillinger's ERS class taught me nothing. She provided articles from google and some hour long videos that aren't useful for the classwork. Absolutely unreachable and has yet to grade work from 2 months ago. My student eval shows me begging her superiors to change the way she does class. Waste of time.

Due dates are never clear and the quizzes always have questions that aren't discussed in the assigned readings, but it is not hard to find the answers... if you can catch my drift She takes a long time to respond to emails and has trouble with technology, especially Canvas. Overall a poor professor, you are better off choosing a different one.

I would never take professor schillinger's class. She rarely responds to emails, and is super unclear with everything including journals and quizzes. She has lots of spelling errors in emails, tests, and course content. Her quizzes have almost nothing to do with the course material and I am left to try and look things up online, etc.

Very unorganized, very unresponsive to emails, makes "half-right" and "more correct" questions on quizzes which is super misleading. Changes the grading scale so 95+ is an A, not 93+. Not willing to help her students and just overall is not great at her job in my opinion. I would steer clear of her at all costs. Hardest B+ I've ever gotten.

Ms. Shillinger was the WORST. I have sent multiple emails throughout the semester, and she has still yet to respond to one of them (and it's the end of finals). She has no lectures, so you have to teach yourself from the power points. Her weekly quizzes sometimes don't even have anything to do with what she posted. DO NOT TAKE HER - SAVE YOURSELF.

I have never felt the need to write a review for a professor, but this one takes the cake. By far, the absolute WORST professor I have ever had. She is incompetent and refuses to answer questions about material. I have sent emails asking for clarification and she replies with barely a sentence regurgitating the quiz question. Avoid at all costs!

She liked to explain to farmers about how farms worked, and used Amazon as a replacement for google images.
