Very fair teacher for a hard course
No Comments
Very fair and helpful. She does give bonus points and a report which also helps your grade a bit
She's a spectacular lady
Hard class! She doesn't explain the material for the tests very well in class, but she will be very helpful outside of the class if you try to meet with her.
Doesn't expain course well at all. You have no idea going into a test what will be on it.
She is a VERY VERY VERY hard teacher. Does not explain things very well. Her test are EXTREMELY difficult and confusing. You can go to class everyday and take notes and still not have a clue about the material on the test. The test are not fair length.
She is an extremely intelligent lady. She really challenges her students, which makes her tests really hard, but she truly cares about the students and is definitely not out to get anyone. I'd take her again for sure.
Stay away!!! I've had a lot of business professors here but she's definitely the worst
Good Teacher. Tests are hard but you actually learn stuff. Give xtra credit and many tests so if you screw up on one, you can come back from it. Everyday assignments help a lot if you go to class
Not an easy class at all. You have to do all the problems she assigns or you will have no clue what to do on the test. She gives bonus which helps but the tests are impossible.
Dr. Stanwick is not very friendly at first, but she is kind of nice. she walks into class with a chip on her shoulder. her tests are ridiculously hard, like she's trying to be hard just to be hard. choose another teacher, i hated this class.
i had alderman first and failed his class and then had to take stanwick. i came out with a b in her class so that has to say something. she gives alot of extra credit that can help you out tremendously!
great teacher!! really cares and gives tons of extra credit
Dr.Stanwick is very nice and extremely helpful when questions are asked. She gives you tons of extra credit to make up for the difficult tests. From what i've heard about the other intermediate teachers, she is definetely the way to go. I highly recomend her if you have to take this class.
I recommed just taking plenty of time to work through book problems and class problems twice and skimming through the chapters. Don't worry about reading every single word, it won't make sense anyway. Take advantage of each extra credit and homework opportunity!
I Love Dr. Stanwick. She is one of the only accounting teachers who realizes the material is hard by itself and doesn't try to overdue it. She is also very nice. Go to her office with help and she will bend over backwards. If you have to take intermediate, she is the only way to go.
get ready to hear about how wonderful walmart is and how sick her children are. she couldnt grade any of our tests in less than a week b/c her kids were "sick" and she couldnt get it done. has a chip on her shoulder and favors certain students and ingnores most. this class sucks and so does she!
You MUST go to her class in order to do well. Also, do the hmwk b/c it can help you predict what she'll put on the tests. She says you can't go a day w/o studying for her class and if you want to do well, you need to. She can be unclear at times, but is willing to help you out.
I would like to get ahold of the person who said she sucks. She and her children were sick this semester yes, but if you had young children and they were really sick I'm sure that would be your top concern as well. She still graded our tests in a timely manner, often only 2 days after we took them.
She is an awesome professor!! Your going to have to go to class and pay attention bc this stuff doesn't come naturally to many people. If you go talk to her in her office she is super helpful!!! I think she is the best and kindest professor you could ask for!!

She's such a nice lady! The tests are kinda tricky and u need to study alot, but u do get 6 extra points on each test. The annual report and current events can really boost ur grade if u don't do well on the exams. I think she does a great job explaining the material and I recommend her! Talk to her abt her kids & she'll love you!
she's a nice lady and she gives 6 points extra credit on each exam. however, her lectures do not prepare you for the exam. the out of class projects do not boost your grade because she is terribly strict on the grading. also, she mispronounces words and is very redundant. example: "amateurize" instead of amortize and "reduce down"
I would recommend taking her just for the fact that she gives 6 extra points per exam and 8 on the final plus she scales some. The Current event evals are easy and they count as a full test grade (easy A). Annual report project isn't too hard just time consuming (easy B). Her final exam is not cummulative counts as a regular test grade.
She's really nice. Make sure you go to class and make sure she knows who you are. You need to be there to get the handouts b/c they are vital for the tests. Some of the stuff is pretty tricky but she does well at conveying the information.
very very easy B, but a very difficult A... i made an 89 in her class
Like the person below said, this is a pretty easy B if you show up and be a little interested. The MC questions can and will eat you alive on the tests because they are taken from the Gleim. She offers lots of extra credit and the final is not cumulative.
Make sure you do all the book problems assigned. Go to office hrs. if you need help-extremely helpful. Gives a lot of practice problems but the material is hard. She does everything that she can to make it a good class. Loved the class and Dr. Stanwick!!! Wish all acct. professors were like her!
Stanwick is very nice and knows what she's doing. You either get acct or you don't. I get it, but I had to work super hard in this class to get the grades I did. Take good notes in class and do the suggested problems. Email her questions if you need help! She's very quick to respond. Overall a great teacher for a difficult subject! War Eagle!
She is so GREAT!!!
Dr. Stanwick is very knowledgable in accounting and a very nice person, but I just couldn't get anything out of the lectures. I had to leave class and completely teach it to myself. MyAccountingLab was very helpful for me. Without it I would not have been able to pass a single test. I hope I don't have to have her again.
Best teacher I've ever had in accounting, none the less auburn. tests are incredibly easy and she always tells you exactly what to study. easy A
Dr. Stanwick is a great professor. Listen very carefully to what she tells you to study for on the tests and you could make an A. She offers lots of extra credit. She is very helpful but you have to make the effort to visit her during office hours. Highly recommend her!
Stanwick is a pretty good teacher. Her tests are pretty easy and she gives you at least one opportunity for some extra credit during the semester. My only complaint is that she wastes a little too much class time talking about random things that have nothing to do with the topic. Instead she should use that time to work more problems.
Probably the easiest teacher I've ever had in the COB. That being said I'm not sure how much I actually learned in that class. For the semester we had 25 points of extra credit. If you don't get things the first time she has trouble explaining them in a different way and she got the wrong answers a lot when she worked her own problems.
I lov this woman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She seems a little scatter-brained at times, and sometimes you don't really know what to expect on tests. However, the class is not too hard, and Dr. Stanwick is extremely nice. Overall I enjoyed the class, and at times is just seems like a review of Managerial. As a side note, she brought in some great speakers to the COB who were whistle blowers.
Pretty easy class. She will lecture one or two days, and then do homework every day until the exam. She gives you LOTS of homework and practice stuff. Go over the handouts, and do all of the homework over and over and you will fair well. Also gives decent amount of Extra Credit, including some spot attendance
This women's class is not hard if you don't mind teaching yourself the material. When she does problems in class she gets them wrong most of the time. Also when she gives answers to problems expect one of two email with corrections. Make sure to go to her office to review your test because most likely she made a few mistakes. Only upside is the EC.
Don't be scared of this class. I didn't attend it about half of the time but got an A by doing the practice problems and worksheets she gives out. Tests aren't the easiest but she gives a lot of extra credit.
I made a B in the class , and I hate accounting. Go to class, pay attention and you'll do fine. She gives plenty of extra credit and projects to make up for the test. Made D's on a couple of test an still managed a B in the class. She has the tendency to ramble an class is boring but it's helpful on days she reviews homework and practice problems.
Awful teacher. She rambles about absolutely nothing and every time somebody gets up to leave she scolds the rest of the class who is still there. She is one of the most confusing people I have ever tried to listen to. Don't take this class if you can avoid it.
Is a really smart person, but cannot explain things at all..the slides she uses don't match the way she teaches so its extremely confusing. Basically, she's horrible.
She gives you problems to work out and get you ready for the exam, but surprises you with a format unseen before when it comes time for the test. I already hated accounting, but she makes me hate it worse. Avoid if at all possible.
The most confusing teacher I've had at Auburn. She is very scatter-brained and often overlaps & contradicts herself. The way she teaches is inconsistent with the book and her slides. Her grading is equally as confusing. Trying to get a clear message from the 3-4 emails she sends at a time is difficult as well.
Honestly she is a great teacher. She wants her students to succeed. I got an A in her class with not too much effort all it takes is going to class and some serious studying a couple of nights in advance for the test and your golden. She is helpful in class goes over problems and is easily accessible. Extra Credit for days too. Highly Recommend
The lectures are painful. She rambles about her children for the first 20 minutes every. single. class. The material is easy enough to get an A in the class, and she is more than willing to help you outside of class. The group projects are take way too much time and barely even deal with managerial accounting information.
She think she dose a great job explaining, but she is actually very unclear and confusing. She gives easy projects that are 40% of your grade though.
Lego & service learning group projects are KEY (plus the loads of easy bonus) I was a Sr. with 0 interest in the subject, I skipped 85% of class, did not have the book nor studied for the tests and got a C in the class. Did bad on the tests but killed the bonus and projects. Its not hard, if you try you an do well.
She's not the most clear professor and can be a bit unorganized, however she gives tons of extra credit which is the only reason I got an A. She also gives lots of test preparation materials and will tell you what you need to study. However I wasn't fond of the large group projects, organizing this with 10 college students can be hard
I took Professor Stanwick and I think she is one of the best professors I've had at Auburn. She does like to ramble a lot in class and tests do come up out of no where but her teaching style is what me enjoy this class so much. Study and work problems in book and youll make an A or B.
Super enthusiastic. Tests are pretty frickin easy. Puts a huge emphasis on projects that can take up a ton of time outside of class but she grades them pretty easily.
Stanwick is one of the nicest professors at Auburn, but she is very unclear and never explains what she is doing. Just writes a bunch of numbers down on the board and you have to go home and decipher your notes later. You can make an A because of loads of extra credit and projects but if you can take someone else, please do.
She's not the most clear professor. She also gives test preparation materials and will tell you what you need to study but doesn't exactly teach it you'll have to go home and teach yourself majority of the time. However I wasn't fond of the 2 large group projects. Organizing this with 10 college students can be hard & you don't choose the group.
She is a great woman. She tries to teach things in all different aspects other than accounting. She is entertaining but very hard to understand her lectures and tests were hard. Doing well on the projects will help you to pass the class.
Dr. Stanwick is a very nice person, but she is a very bad teacher. She is very unclear and scatterbrained. She takes forever to grade things. The way she teaches is inconsistent with the book and the slides. She will skip over chunks of material and tell you to "figure it out when you get home". You will have to teach yourself everything.
Class is not too difficult if you come to class and work a lot of problems before the tests. She is good at helping you if you come to her early. DO THE GROUP WORK. Easiest grades in the class.
Dr. Stanwick is a dumpster fire of a teacher. She rambles about her family, she constantly is correcting previously recorded answers, and worst of all, she has no clear guidance for completing the various problems she gives out. This class is not supposed to be too difficult, however her pathetic attempt at lecturing makes it overtly difficult.
This class is really straightforward. She recognizes that most of us have classes that matter more to our majors than 3210 does, and is okay with it. She doesn't require that much time outside of class, and as long as you attend class, pay attention, and work the practice homework you should be fine.
She definitely needs to work on her solutions to some of the homework she gives but she gives tons of partial credit on test. The class really wasn't that bad and she gave like 25 bonus points that boosted my grade a lot. Group projects aren't hard if you just follow the instructions. Work a lot of problems before tests and you'll be fine.
She's very unorganized and takes about 20 minutes of each class rambling on about nothing but the class itself is pretty easy. There are 5 tests and 2 projects and as long as you practice problems before you can get an A with minimal effort. She also gives opportunities for 25 points worth of extra credit so definitely take advantage of that
She is a terrible teacher. I have never been so lost in a class and the material is not that difficult. She literally just does not teach it. Good luck you paid alot of money just to teach yourself this class.
Stanwick is very scattered and unorganized. It's a stressful class because you don't know when something will be sprung on you. Few dates on syllabus were followed. A big portion of your grade is based on group or creative projects that are hardly relevant to the course. She often sent last-minute emails because she forgot something important.
You will leave class more confused than when you came. She must have some sort of telepathy because her scatterbrainedness transfers to all her students every class period. No one knows what's going on at all. If you like staring at a projector for an hour, contemplating how you're going to totally wing the next test, then this class is for you.
Dr Stanwick is the most scatter brained professor I have ever had. She is terrible at teaching the material in class and continuously messes up, but if you go to office hours she knows how to do the problems and can teach you. Be sure to text her with questionsshe replies there before any email you ever send her. Good luck
Cost Accounting is the most disorganized class I have ever taken. The content is not too challenging, but the way it is taught makes it confusing. I never truly knew what was going on. Good luck.
Stanwick was the most scatterbrained teacher Ive ever had. She doesnt teach in class! No she just tells you all about her life story and brings in random speakers that take up class time. She barely ever goes over anything and when she does she makes it ten times more difficult than it needs to be. Be prepared to learn everything by your self.
Stanwick doesn't go over much of the material in class, and you have to teach yourself for the tests, especially the final. Cost isn't difficult in itself but she doesn't help in understanding it better
Dr. Stanwick is honestly the sweetest person I've ever met. She offers a lot of extra credit and the 2 projects are fairly easy. She is pretty disorganized and cluster-brained, though and sometimes makes things more confusing.
I love Professor Stanwick. She actually cares about her students and teaches the material extremely well. The exams come straight from lecture and if you go to class you will make an easy A. She provides lots of opportunities to boost your grade with extra credit and an easy 100 on a test for how she grades homework. Would recommend!
She tries to explain the material but fails to get her point across 90% of the time. She doesn't lecture. She just goes straight into working problems without even explaining what she's doing or why. You end up having to read the book and teach it all to yourself. She's a nice person and her test are not hard but she's terrible at teaching.
If you are an accounting major and wanting to understand the material, do not take her! You will leave the class more confused. If you are not an accounting major, you can get by and just probably won't learn anything with no harm. I would suggest just getting the book and teaching yourself. It will make more sense that way. Try not to take her tho
Class is mostly working problems which helps for the tests. Go to class, take ALOT of notes, work ALL the handout problems and you should be fine. Lots of extra credit too. Very caring professor and wants you to succeed.
Dr. Stanwick's class is one of the most painful things I have ever experienced. She is a very sweet and caring person but the way she teaches the material is like deciphering a different language. She does give a ton of extra credit so an A is very possible and at least a B is very very likely, but the problem is sticking with it the whole semester
Dr. Stanwick is super sweet, but is not a great teacher. Class is basically just filling out worksheets together, which do not help on tests. Definitely read the book & do those problems. I FAILED the first test hard but still ended up with a B in the class thanks to extra credit. But she also heavily scaled our tests during the quarantine
Extremely disorganized, syllabus was a working document and not a final agreement, unclear grading criteria or rubric for final project, cannot explain simple cost accounting concepts without complicating the material usually, will not respond to simple emails as this is not the method of communication she prefers and subtweet message in Canvas
don't take her.
Do not take her for accounting. Tests are very hard and not the same as her study guides. She spends half of class talking about her kids or bragging about having a doctorate. Project has nothing to do with the class at all.
By far the worst professor I've had at Auburn. I attend class, take notes, do problems from the book & still failed her test. She rambles in class & tests look nothing like the class lectures. She can never figure out how to use the projector & genuinely thinks she's the best professor at auburn. & she wonders why people leave class early..
She talks for 30 minutes before every lecture about random stuff. She thinks she does an excellent job teaching material, however, it is the complete opposite.
Let me start by saying I am a 4.0 student and work very hard for my grades. Dr. Stanwick has been hands down the worse professor that I have ever had. She is a sweet lady and I know she cares but she is a horrible professor. She doesn't teach you anything and assumes you just know things when you don't. I honestly hate her class.
Stanwick is by far the worst professor that I have had at Auburn. She comes into class with a negative and whiney attitude pretty much everyday. She is subpar at best at explaining material during lectures and very often side tracks on things that don't matter. She takes 10-15 mins to start talking about material after her daily complaining. AVOID
This is hands down the worst teacher i have ever had at Auburn university, first 30 min of lectures talks about random things then her lectures make 0 sense. scatterbrained is an under statement. get ready to teach yourself before every exam. class average on first exam was a 60.5.
Her exam practice problems and exam reviews make it seem so much easier than it actually is. Her exams are 10x harder and 10x different than anything we went over in class. Its almost as if she wants us to fail her class. Worst professor I have ever had at Auburn.
DO NOT TAKE. She is the WORST professor I have had in my 4 yrs at Auburn. Her lectures make no sense and her "test reviews" are nothing like the test. She blames her mistakes on her students. You can't read her handwriting. Her tests are nothing like her class. She leaves you more confused than you were before class. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience.
She is by far the worst professor at auburn that I have ever had. We have taken 2 exams so far and the class average was an F on both exams! All her power points are directly from the book. I am typically a great student and try to never complain, but she is truly terrible, do not take her class!
4.0 student here... worse teacher I have ever had. She spends 20 min of the class talking about things that do not even matter, which would probably honestly be more helpful than her even trying to teach. Everything she tries to explain does not tie well together and you will leave more confused than you started with. Auburn, you can do better...
Dr. Stanwick thinks she is teaching graduate accounting students. She rambles in the beginning of class and just skims over the slides she copied from the textbook, which is no help because he tests are 110x harder than everything you study and are taught. She gives extra credit opportunities, but it's still not enough. DO NOT TAKE at all costs.
Dr. Stanwick is by far the worst accounting teacher I have ever had. Firstly this class is impossible to get a good grade in when the tests are pulled from a test bank that she does even bother to read before giving. Which makes this class hard because the tests are the vast majority of your grade. Managerial Accounting shouldn't be this hard.
Terrible. Very bad at teaching
Auburn should fire this woman. Worst professor I have ever had. Get ready to do a project using LEGOs and get graded insanely hard on it. Tests make no sense and are way harder than anything you will practice doing. No one should be subjected to this. Do not take.
There should be an overall scale given to every student this semester that had to take this class with this sorry excuse for a teacher. This is Auburn University, how is there not a better teacher to teach this class. Unfair to the hundreds of students with now botched gpa's. Just read the comments below...
I had Dr. Stanwick for Managerial Accounting and yes the class was hard and she sometimes went too fast but she was always willing to work with you outside of class. These ratings do not reflect her as a teacher as the exams were hard but there was plenty of opportunity to get points back, she is a sweet lady that tries to make an impact.
Dr. Stanwick moves very fast through the material and it is very difficult to keep up. However, she did record the lectures so you can go back and review things at a slower pace if you need to. The lectures weren't the best, but this class is not nearly as bad as some of these reviews make it seem.
This is the hardest class that I have ever taken in my entire life and it shouldnt have been. I would constantly leave class feeling more confused than when I got there. She rambles on and on at the begging of class for no reason. Her tests are hard and the review sessions provide little to no insight on what or how to study. DONT TAKE!!!!
She literally sucks at explaining
Worst professor I've had at Auburn. After taking Accounting I and II in high school I feel awful for the students in this course, she can't even successfully teach the fundamentals of AL+SE and jumps right into rigorous content. If I was an employer in the accounting industry I would not hire graduates that had this woman as a "teacher"
Dr. Stanwick is a very caring teacher but she makes you work very hard for your grade. Often times her lectures were not organized in a way that an intro accounting class should be and she made the class very difficult to understand. She did not pull her information out of the textbook, so you cannot study without understanding her way of teaching.
I can genuinely say I have never struggled with a teacher so much. I heard managerial accounting was easier than financial and the concepts seemed like they were however I could not understand anything bc of Dr. Stanwick. Everyone in the class failed, spare yourself and take any other teacher. Auburn, do better, she does not deserve to teach here.
Tests are far harder than they need to be, except the T/F final. The 1st exam was fine, but after that, she moved way too fast in class and test questions were so unclear. Do EVERY extra credit opportunity. 3 exams plus final, several quizzes w/ all but highest 10 dropped, and a Lego accounting project. Not the best, but Ive had worse profs.
She clearly doesnt understand the material shes teaching and in class students have answered questions that other students have asked when she couldnt, youre better off learning from reading the textbook. Shes genuinely not a good teacher and if at all possible avoid her at all costs.
She was very nice but as a professor was not very good. Majority of the class she did not teach and graded test and project very hard. If it was not for the final project and the final, I would not have passed, I do not recommend.
This lady has no business teaching an intro class
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!! This is the worst professor in the accounting department. The test questions were NOTHING like any of the study/lecture material. I hit the books really hard for the first exam and still failed. The average was in the 50's. Literally, take anyone else.
Dr. Stanwick is a wonderful woman. While her class is a little hard to keep up with there are PLENTY of extra credit opportunities available. If you work the problems and reach out for help you will be able to do well in this class. She is very understanding and supporting of things that occur and is wonderful if you take the time to communicate.
Dr. Stanwick is a very sweet lady who will take the time to help you if you put in the effort. The class is graded by tests and although they can be difficult you can save your grade through the multiple opportunities of extra credit offered. Study the in class questions! Overall she is a very caring person and wants you to succeed in the class!
AVOID! Im in her 12:30 class and we are over month into the class and we have had 4 in person classes so far, one of which was a guest speaker. When she decides not to come teach, she posts her "make up" lectures whenever she wants. She walks into class super unprepared on what she is going to teach and the canvas is super unorganized. DONT TAKE!!!
HORRIBLE! super unorganized and just all over the place. Doesn't explain material well and makes her students participate in activities that literally has nothing to do with managerial accounting.
WORST TEACHER EVER! she spends more time yelling at students who go to the restroom than teaching, assigns random things that have nothing to do with the class. she does give extra credit, which you will need 100% of to pass the class. most of her answers she gives is for the problem are wrong and we have to figure it out ourselves. DONT TAKE HER!
We have been in school for a month and a half and have only had a handful of classes. Her notes are sloppy and difficult to follow and she abbreviates almost everything you need to know. She has also started getting extremely mad at students for leaving class even if it is to use the bathroom. Overall just difficult to follow notes, reviews.
Wouldn't take under any circumstances. Class attendance is not mandatory but is just about useless to go. There is either a guest speaker that has nothing to do with acct or she goes over problems that she expects you to learn yourself. I would have been fine with a reverse teaching style but she does not even give any resources to teach yourself.
Absolutely do not take this teacher. The worst professor I have ever seen in my life. She does not teach and is more concerned with having guest speakers than teaching the information. She is extremely rude when asking questions as well. Unless you are good at teaching this class too yourself with no help or guidance do not take.
Dr. Stanwick is a nice person but an absolutely awful professor. Her lectures are nonsensical, and she doesn't bother teaching the basic concepts of the material, so you essentially have to teach yourself. Additionally, she brings in unrelated guest speakers and comes off as petty and unprofessional in class. Definitely avoid if possible.
The only thing "inspiring" about this professor is her dedication to a mandatory "volunteer" event. This is all she talks about in class throughout the semester. Besides this, in lectures, she rambles the majority of the class instead of teaching. If you enjoy teaching yourself a subject, look no further!
DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS! I'm a 4.0 student who tries to find the best in every class but this class is the absolute worst. The only things you're graded on are a few tests, a lego project, and a volunteer project. You have to teach yourself everything. She is disorganized, and you leave her room more confused than before you came. Hardest class ever.
Just absolutely terrible. I would rather have to take an extra semester than have to take her again. The lectures made me more confused and I had to teach the material to myself. She also gets on you for going to the bathroom lol. I could write a longer paper about how bad she was than what I learned in class. Just DON'T take her, whatever you do.
While she's a nice lady, I wouldn't recommend her to ANYONE. She is more focused on outside projects than giving us a worked-out study guide. The course is generally hard, but it should not be as difficult as it is with her. There is no homework and the tests are extremely hard. If you can take anyone else but her-please do. If not, good luck.
This is one of the most least understanding and outright rude teachers I have ever taken. Her class itself is very challenging and do not worry about going to class because it will hurt you more than it will help you. She is extremely rude when communicating and not very understanding that not everyone is a managerial accounting wizard.
I cannot say enough bad things about this class. She is rude, unprofessional, and disorganized. I had to teach myself everything. Tests are impossible. The only reason I am passing is because of extra credit. Projects have nothing to do with accounting. Literally, take anyone else. This is the worst class I have ever taken. AVOID HER!
If you don't go to class you won't pass. While attendance is not mandatory for this course, halfway through the semester it was decided that if you leave class early without emailing her beforehand, she would end the lecture. Has a very strict calculator policy (but will not actually tell you the exact calculator to buy). No uploaded notes.
Take advantage of all the extra credit opportunities. I didn't even bother going to class halfway through the semester because she doesn't teach you the material and half the time just rambles about random stuff. The note packets she gives out are terrible but the textbook is very helpful. Tests are very hard. Also makes you do dumb projects.
She is a tough professor to learn from since she is so fast paced, but she understands what she is teaching very well and is always willing to help her students out when needed. She provides a lot of extra credit opportunities.
This is a tough review to write. Dr.Stanwick is a nice lady but her teaching is very hard to understand. This was probably one of the most difficult classes I have taken due to her teaching being disorganized and not straightforward. I will add that she does provide a decent amount of extra credit opportunities so make sure you complete those.
Easy B if you don't care about accounting. I taught myself most of the material. She uses these "worksheets" to teach in class and I used those to teach myself, even though I went to every class. She does provide lots of extra credit and if you follow the instructions on the lego project you should do well; this is what really helps your grade.
I personally think she is a great person and is super nice. But, as a professor not so much. She is very unorganized and moves at a very fast pace. You essentially have to teach yourself EVERYTHING.
Dr. Stanwick is a great person, however, her teaching style is all over the place and very hard to follow. Although, she does have several opportunities throughout the semester for significant extra credit. In my opinion, this wasn't a terribly hard course, but you'll have to teach yourself a good bit.
Professor Stanwick did not teach anything during her class period. Very unorganized and you will have to teach yourself the class. She gave opportunities for easy credit to make up for the class failing the tests. But save yourself stress and do not take her class.
Legitimately the worst professor I have ever taken. I wouldn't wish her on my worst enemy. I'm happy she retired and that nobody ever has to take a course from this woman ever again.
Professor Stanwick's class is a tough one, but with the help of resources like unstuck study, you can get through it. The lectures can be disorganized, so be prepared to teach yourself. Take advantage of the extra credit opportunities to boost your grade.
