She is a very hands on teacher. She works hard on getting everyone a great grade, and she cares about all of her students.
Sarah was the first professor I had in person, but I was treated like an actual student rather than being considered new. Class was given an agenda for each day that varied enough to keep engaged. Scene work given to us in ways that each role was given in a way that was challenging but still exciting. Sarah also talks to us as people outside class
THAR 10A was better than I could have hoped for my first college acting class. Prof. Wintermeyer gives great directions that I really think made me a better actor. She is clear about expectations and grades and is easy to talk to if you need help. She also helped our class bond so we could learn from each other as an ensemble too. Highly recommend!
Ms. Sarah truly cares about each and every student and their individual growth. She also knows how to mix it up so you never feel bored even in a 2.5 hour class. Attendance and participation are key so show up ready to play, laugh, and even make some new friends.
Sarah is one of the most motivating teachers I've had the pleasure of having. She's very invested in seeing each student thrive, to take her craft with a seriously fun way of looking at every angle. I'm definitely signing up for her next class as soon as it's available. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for gently never giving up.
Sarah is never not on your side. She is your biggest fan, listens to you when you have questions or concerns, and helps you to find the fun in every moment you spend in class.
Sarah is one hell of an instructor, absolutely inspiring! Knowing her as an actress & a person, reminded me why I chose to do acting for my future. Strasburg, Stanislavski, the Magic If, really opened my eyes, my point of view changed. When I make it to becoming a professional actress, I will remember where it all started and it started with Sarah.
Sarah is an amazing instructor. Very knowledgable of the subject, and cares about her students succeeding. She gives a lot of additional support for those who are really serious and determined about developing their acting.
Sarah is one of my favorite professors I've ever taken. She is the chillest acting teacher with so much patience. She helps you improve so much. It's incredible to be in the environment that Sarah creates. Plus she's a professional who knows her stuff. I would definitely take a class taught by her again. 10/10
WinterMeyer understands the subject she teaches very clearly and does a excellent job at conveying it.
Be sure that in the very beginning she is interesting to work with but she can be nice if you are able to reach out to her in case if you are going to talk with her about your grade.
Respectful and helpful throughout the whole class, helps each student get their best start as an actor, can't recommend enough!
Sarah is an amazing teacher she really got me into stepping out of my Comfort zone and she really helped me with questions that I had she's always there to help you and I definitely recommend her to have. Thank you, Sarah, for always making me feel comfortable in your class you are a vrey kind teacher who trys their best to help out thank you.
Sarah is an amazing instructor. Her passion for the art of acting is inspiring and invigorating! By taking her class I have grown so much as an artist, as well as a person. I am filled with immense gratitude to have met her, and I am proud to call her a mentor in my life.
Sarah is such a great instructor. She has allowed me to be vulnerable as an artist, and she has inspired me to take risks within my art. Work hard, do the work, and you will reap the rewards. I highly recommend!
She is an amazing teacher! She wants to be there to support you even if it felt like you did bad and pushes you to do the best you can. Her feedback always sounds positive. She made the class feel like a safe space for everyone to do their best work. I loved the class! I would take it again.
Sarah is an amazing instructor who is super passionate about acting! She created a safe environment for me and other students to come to class and try to improve as actors. She gives great feedback on performances and is willing to work with you to get the best grade possible in her class. I loved this class and I would definitely take it again!
You would be blessed to have Sarah as your teacher. She's been incredibly kind, helpful, and wonderful to her students in 2155. She created a supportive, loving, and inviting atmosphere while we worked together with our classmates on group projects. If are interested in the classes she teaches, SIGN UP FOR HER IF YOU HAVE THE OPTION.
I am so lucky that I took Sarah's class. It's the acting environment you hope for. She is supportive and uplifting as she challenges you to become a better actor and a better person. If you're ready to grow your confidence and your skillset, take her class.
I had a tough start to the semester, but I made a turn around thanks to Sarah's safe and judgement-free class. Not only did she push and encourage me as an actor, but she holds space for collaboration and sharing that allowed me to make real friends and learn from them too. Win-win.
A part of it is Sarah and the way she is excited about acting and just so good at clearly explaining how to actually practice getting better at it. The other part is definitely all of the people in the class always being so engaged with the subject and giving it their all, especially in the performances.
Sarah is one of the nicest and most caring instructors I've ever had. She makes all of her requirements clear and easy to understand, she not trying to confuse you or catch you with trick questions and genuinely wants all of her students to pass her class. She honestly felt more like a friend than an instructor by the end of the semester.
THAR 10A has been refreshing for me in my academic career. Sarah is a wonderful teacher, and it is blatantly apparent that she genuinely cares about what she does, and that makes a enormous difference. It was definitely cool to have a micro-community that students built, rather than just a dull classroom environment.
Sarah is superb and this class has been fun this semester since I got to meet some really wonderful people in the classroom that shared the same interest as me for theater.
Sarah Wintermeyer is an excellent instructor. She is a very high energy person, who comes to class ready to give her all to the students. Participation was necessary, because this was an acting intro to acting class. I would definitely take more classes from her!
Wonderful. Professor really knows her stuff and is excited to share it with us. She is extremely well organized, helpful, upbeat, informative, and just all around a joy to have as a professor. I was not at all expecting to enjoy THAR 2 Introduction to Theatre as much as I have.
Sarah is a wonderful and kind professor! I always enjoy her class. She is incredibly enthusiastic about teaching acting and gives very helpful and understandable feedback. I would heavily recommend her class.
Professor Wintermeyer was incredible. She's funny, assigns meaningful, fun, and minimal work, and always makes an effort to connect with her students. There is book work and one group project, but it's not too bad and she wants to cut it down. Extra credit is always available. Definitely take her classes if you get the chance.
Sarah legitimately got me invested acting and theater. She is witty, willing to go above and beyond for her students, never pushes them too hard, and above all, FUN with SO many resources that are easily accessible and succinct. Never be afraid to approach her. She cares. She listens. And she is hands down the BEST teacher I have ever had, period.
Professor Wintermeyer knows everyone's names and often engages the whole class in surprisingly fun conversations. It's so interactive that I also made several friends through the class, which is an awesome bonus. Attendance matters and the 80 minutes goes fast as we are usually shifting between different activities.
I'll be honest I'm not a theatre person, but I needed an Area C Arts and Humanities course to transfer and this class fit in my schedule. Prof Wintermeyer is clear and funny. THAR 2 was easy and enjoyable - yes please!
Sarah Wintermeyer is a great teacher and human being. She made the class enjoyable, engaging, and interesting. She's a very friendly teacher and she relieves the pressure from the acting. She's very knowledgeable and gives great feedback for every scene and monologue. If you want to have fun and enjoy learning to act you should take her class.
Sarah teaches beautifully. Her dedication and passion for the subject are shown throughout her class.
Sarah makes it fun to come to class and creates a space where everyone is accepted as they truly are. She genuinely cares enough to take the time to get to know you and recommend scenes and exercises that fit with what you're looking to explore. Not only does she teach acting but she also demystifies what it takes to be a professional actor.
Professor Wintermeyer excels at making lectures engaging. Also when on of the students has a question, you can always trust that it would be answered in a way that makes sense, and that it will be clarified for the whole class.
Sarah really cares about her students. She makes the class fun and relaxing. She gives amazing feedback and tips to all her students. Recommend taking her class if you are interested in learning how to act!
I'm convinced Sarah is the perfect teacher to take THAR 2 with, be it simply for credit or for exploring the world of theater. She is super engaging, down to earth, and absolutely willing to help anyone with passing her class. She is also very open to feedback and was always asking about how her class could be improved throughout the semester.
She's a wonderful professor. When I got to know her, she was very responsive to my questions, and helped me get through the things that I otherwise couldn't understand.
Professor Wintermeyer is a quality director and teacher. From the beginning, she asked what we wanted to get out of the class and she continues to check in multiple times throughout the semester actually taking into account what students want to do more of and doing it. If you're interested in becoming a better actor, take her classess
Sarah Wintermeyer is a great teacher who really cares about the work you put in and will help you along the way with anything you might have problems with in the class. For me I didn't have any problems or any complaints it was all a great experience to be in her THAR10A class. She cares for every student and will help you get into acting.
She's super helpful when it comes to outside circumstances effecting schoolwork.
Sarah Wintermyer was a great person to work with when it came to lecture and physical learning, the way she talked about the material made her easily approachable whenever help was needed, or if I needed to ask further questions.
Wintermeyer makes the class entertaining and not boring.
Professor Wintermeyer teaches an original class. She does this thing where she lets the class choose what comes next and then we vote and that determines what happens next in that class and sometimes what happens next for several classes to come. She keeps it fresh.
Take THAR 2 with Sarah Wintermeyer! No matter if you are looking for an arts credit and just need something to take, or if you're looking for a jumping off point into the world of theater, Sarah provides the best experience for taking this class.
Top rated teacher who cares. Creates a supportive, safe, fun, learning community. Working actor - teaches from experience. Offers honest feedback. Participation is expected. Great lectures. Fun class. Brilliant partnered scenes. Warm, caring human - support extends after class. SRJC-PLEASE utilize this talented teacher! Waiting to take Thar10B.
An excellent class to take if you want to be involved in the theater community is Thar 2. This course is a wonderful place to start if you want to learn more about the theatrical industry. You gain so much fresh knowledge and gain understanding of a theater performance's background. Wintermeyer is refreshingly real.
Overall I thought THAR 2 was a really well rounded course that was informative and fun! It was also amazing to have a professor that makes their students feel seen. Be ready to try something different each day!
Sarah loves acting and theatre so much, her passion and enthusiasm shine through. These, combined with her knowledge and extensive experience, as well as her caring and attentive yet enthusiastic teaching style, make for a fantastic introduction to the theater arts and acting technique, with an emphasis on fun, experiential learning.
I took Thar 10A with Sarah and it was a blast!! She's super nice, funny, and caring. She wont make you do anything your uncomfortable doinig but she encourages you to try new things. I don't recomend doing this but I didn't even get the book required for the class and I passed with a perfect grade. Thats how amazing her teaching method is!!
Though I joined in the second weeks, I am impressed that Prof Sarah already knows like all 40 peoples names already. Before class even started, she introduced me to other and told them to catch me up, which made me feel welcomed and also better prepares to do well. It's gonna be a good semester I can tell.
Inspriational and supportive. Lots of fun games and exerises. Everyone feels comfortable participating. Knowledgable. Working actor herself and knows the business. She finds creative ways to teach. Very clear instructions of what is expected to get good grade. Great class for any age!
Excellent teacher. Would take the class with her again!
Sarah Wintermeyer is a fantastic theatre professor, she wants you to succeed and will always be there for you. Has a great understanding of acting and gave very valuable feedback that has helped me grow and understand acting better.
Professor Wintermeyer is a fantastic teacher. If you are at all interested in theater, I recommend taking Thar 2 with her. If you are at all interested in acting, definitely take her Thar10a class whenever it's available.
Sarah was a great teacher. Filled with stories that pertained to the subject, with many years and productions under her belt, it made it a lot easier to learn from someone who knows their stuff. Sarah created an atmosphere where there was a safe space to talk, but also an overwhelmingly push to have you want to add to a joke and a little giggle.
Sarah is one of the best teachers I have had at the SC. She really cares about her craft, her teaching and her students and it shows. The classwork was clear, straightforward and simple, but participation and attendance matter, it's an acting class after all. I wouldn't hesitate to take another class with Sarah, and If you have the chance to do it!
If you do your part by showing up to class prepared, show respect and participate, the sky is the limit! Sarah will help you achieve your goals. Sarah makes learning easy. By the time the semester was over, I felt like I could accomplish anything and everything with work.
Very caring teacher with a very easy courseload. As long as you attend class, you will get an A. She likes to have fun and is very funny. Participation matters!
I am gratefully that I took Sarah class again as I have had her before in my very first semester when I was a newbie in college! She has really helped me on the quizzes when I struggled with it, and she is really useful when it comes to questions. If you're looking for a Thar 2 class to take, I recommend her to take!
She's very welcoming and open minded. She will hear you, and understand where you coming from no matter what. Overall, a great role model.
Sarah is an amazing teacher. She is super kind and understanding and will listen to you if you need help. She gives out recourses for almost everything. She really listens to feedback and implements it. The quizzes are based on readings but most the time you will go over the contents before (or after) the quiz.
Sarah is a wonderful professor. She made me laugh a lot. I was very exited to go to class. as someone who is not very comfortable acting or being in front of people in that way she made it a very comfortable environment.
Sarah's class was the absolute highlight of my year!! By far one of the best instructors at SRJC. When you walk into her class you're immediately transported into a place where you are seen, heard, and cared for. I am shy by nature and I was really hesitant in enrolling in this course but I am so glad I did. SRJC needs more teachers like Sarah.
Very clear, optimistic and present. Shows interest and care for the material and student comprehension.
Sarah is funny, caring, open minded and very accommodating. Her class is simple but rewarding. If you're shy and don't like public speaking, please take this class to get out of your comfort zone. Her class is one that you don't have to stress too much about, and it's a class that you look forward to at the start of the week instead of dreading.
This is my second class with Sarah Wintermeyer. What stands out the most is how much she cares about each student. She wants everyone to succeed. She uses games, mystery field trips, and wonderful presentations to make the subject interesting and fun to learn. Everything that is expected is clearly outlined in Canvas. Take her classes!
Great teacher, a lot of fun. It's a class where you have to participate but mostly participation is for games. She won't force you to talk in group settings. There is a test after every chapter, you can't make tests up if you miss them. She has a late policy. You have a week or so to turn stuff in and after that its 20%. Extra credit is Offered.
Wintermeyer is a powerhouse! Participation is key, but it's all through interactive games and activities, so even shy peeps will be okk. Clear expectations on Canvas and she's just as clear in class. Just show up (attendance matters) Be prepared and you won't be bored - nice for a change.
You actually do a little of everything. like everything in theatre. Quizzes after each chapter come in hot, but if yr paying attention in class and you did the reading, they're easy. Sarah genuinely cares about everyone's understanding and she was accessible for help. Wish there was a part 2 of this class.
Sarah's class is an adventure. Prepare for surprise field trips and come ready to get out of your comfort zone in the best way.
Sarah's the GOAT. Follow her lead and you will surprise yourself with what you can achieve.
Sarah's bubbly personality and genuine care for us makes learning feel like more than a chore. Her knack for creating a safe environment for queer students makes us feel seen and included. Sarah showed me acting isn't just about applause, it's about embracing vulnerability, building confidence, and discovering your own process.
She's a very sweet woman and obviously loves her job. BUT DO YOUR PRODUCTION HOURS because they're so easy to get done. Her goes over the test right before doing it so if you miss some reading, you'll probably be fine
She is so nice, I wish I could take all classes with her!
TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!! Sarah is genuinely the best professor SRJC has to offer. Even if you are not a theater major or into theater at all this class will transform you into a theater lover. Sarah is so passionate about this subject and you will have the time of your life in this class. I will forever remember the fun times this class brought me.
Sarah made musical theatre techniques a wonderful class. It's been extremely fun and her energy is always amazing to work with! I would take it again if possible.
After a full day of work I thought I would be dragging for Thar 2 (5838), but it was always a great time. I don't know if I've ever had class where I knew everybody by the end - like her in class discussions, games, and exercises gave us the opportunity to truly interact. She is masterful at bringing a group together.
Professor Wintermeyer is excellent at making her classrooms a safe space, and ensuring that all of her students get the help they need. In addition to that, she also accepts feedback and incorporates it into the curriculum to ensure that the course is as effective as possible. I would highly recommend attending any of her theater arts courses.
Sarah's a great teacher. We always started class with a couple games, then got into the lecture, had a short quiz on the reading, and then continued with the lecture and class discussions. Lots of class engagement and interesting material. Good vibes, lots of fun.
Took THAR 2 with Sarah and she was one of the best teachers I've ever had. She mad learning so fun and she just gets so physical with her gestures and volume and empathizes with each one of her students. Highly recommend.
Took THAR 17 (musical theatre techniques) with Sarah and she was amazing. I never sung before her class and she pushed me to try new things and succeed and I really appreciate her for doing that. She is an awesome teacher so if you get the chance take a class with her.
Sarah is by far the BEST professor I have ever had. I'd even say she's the best theater arts professor at the JC. She deserves to be on full time faculty, she shows up, she does the work, she's available out side of class, she is a working professional actor, and she's nice. She will put you on the spot and grow you as an actor in the best way!!!!!
Sarah is a fantastic professor and by far made my experience worthwhile. I have never enjoyed a classroom environment more than when I was in THAR 2. I was definitely pushed out of my comfort zone but never forced and always supported and encouraged. Sarah is truly a special professor who will leave a long-lasting mark on your educational journey.
I think Sarah was an amazing professor who not only has a deep love and passion for teaching, but a deep level of care for her students. Sarah is a very understanding professor who will take time to talk to you if you need help, whether that is something for her class or outside of class. I would highly recommend Sarah!
She is very easy to talk to and she is very understanding. She helps you with no hesiation and enjoys to teach and bond with her students. Easy to get along with and all activitites in the class are easy and fun to do. Definitely recommend!
In a word... AMAZING! I have gone to school for 1/2 of my life and I have never enjoyed a class so very much! I did not only learn quite a bit about the elements of theater, some theater history, vocabulary, etc, but I also was inspired by continue learning more and hopefully engross myself deeper into the world of theater. I give Sarah an A+!
The way you learn is perfect, all the points she grades is what she puts and gives a lot of extra credit.
A literal queen. If she ever teaches a class, TAKE IT!
One of the most fun classes I've ever taken, I really enjoyed how Sarah pretty much made us get to know each other and become friends. The class was like a family.
the lectures were entertaining and engaging. class participation was fun and educational at the same time. there was a good amount of class interaction as a whole class and as smaller groups and a lot of other activities to break up the lecturing.
One of the things I'm trying to do in my life is not staying in my comfort zone but try and make my life a little more suspenseful, and I think THAR 2 and especially Sarah do this! She was a big part of making our lives more fun this semester.
When I started Sarah's class I did not know much about theater, but it really taught me to see theater from a new perspective. I think the fear of public speaking challenge I faced in this class was totally worth it. Sarah really teaches and somehow makes every class fun.
I came into Sarah's class knowing no one and I am leaving with many known faces and friends. I am glad to say that is by far my favorite class that I have taken here at the JC. It helped me get out of my comfort zone. It helped me make new friendships. It helped me grow my theater skills. 10/10
If you ever plan on taking Musical theater, take it with Sarah Wintermeyer! She is a really fun teacher and is understanding when it comes to questions or when giving good feedback. Plus, this is my 3rd time having her as a teacher and she's amazing!
Sarah Westermeyer is one of my favorites because of the way she put her mind to what the class envisioned, it just made it so much fun and creative, I respect her in many ways, and she is an amazing person and a teacher at the same time.
This is such a great teacher! She commits to everything she does and inspires you every day to song and dance at 9 am.
Sarah Wintermeyer is awesome. I love singing and dancing.
Sarah is awesome, I almost dropped this course because it was at 9am and having to sing and dance at 9am is frankly awful, but no one could have made me sing and dance at 9am like Sarah Wintermeyer. She's definitely the nicest teacher in this program. Take one of her classes if you can!
Sarah was amazing and enjoyed being in a class with her again with Musical Theatre Techniques.
Sarah Wintermeyer was amazing and I am glad I got to take a class again with her.
Sarah is fair dedicated to giving students what they paid for.
I thought that Sarah was a very amazing theatre teacher. She was able to clearly communicate what she wanted us to do while being positive and inspiring us to be better performers. Overall it was an absolute blast.
I think Sarah is a very fun teacher! She made Musical Theatre a fun course. At first, I was hesitant about the class, but after enrolling the class was a delight to take.
Sarah Wintermyer cares about each and every one of her students. She inspires students to discover their strengths even when they are fearful of performing in front of other students. She has a way of building a class into a community. Knows her stuff! A caring wonderful teacher who has much to give. She needs to teach Thar 10B!!!
Sarah is the best teacher in the theater department at SRJC! Let her direct a show. It will be the best every!
Sarah was an amazing teacher, despite our class being at 9am, she showed up and brought the energy to her class and students. She's truly wants her students to shine like she believes they can, even if they can't see it. I would take this class with her again if I'm able to, I know I have so much more I can learn from her.
I enjoyed this course in having the opportunity to sing and perform. Making new friends is always a good outlook. The instructor is easy going but I would have like for her to pay more attention in connecting with her students and doing more check in's.
Good! The class requires acting and dancing skills/willingness to dance. In some aspects, it was helpful to consider character types. It was easy going but participation is important for a good grade.
Sarah's enthusiastic about musical theater, and it felt pretty contagious. She was encouraging and gave plenty of resources for us to succeed in the class, and how to prepare for auditions wherever we go.
As long as you show up and do the work you will do great! Sarah's funny and very passionate about theater. She also allows a lot of opportunity for extra credit. Thar10A is a fun class and you will get to know a lot of people.
This class was a game-changer. Sarah's guidance and encouragement helped me to step outside of my comfort zone and explore myself as an actor. Though I am slightly terified of performing still, I did it and would take from her again!
Just a really grounded and respectful person. She is also hilarious and caring. If you are scared about taking this class, trust me, it will be worth it. Thank you for an amazing class.
I learned so much from her if anyone wants to take an acting class I would 100% reccomend her
Sarah is an amazing teacher. She will push you. She will make sure you have all the resources that you can. She always comes into clause with a positive attitude, always with a smile on her face. I 100% recommend taking her class and I know in the future I will be taking another class with her
Great for beginners of all ages, would recommend!
Sarah is a phenomenal teacher. She clearly cares about every student and always brings positive energy to class. She really helped me to step outside of my comfort zone and improve, not just as an actor, but as a person. I 100% recommend her!!
Sarah is an amazing professor. I felt I learned a lot as an actor, and as a person just by being taught by her. You can tell she cares about her students and genuinely wants to see everyone succeed. Would highly recommend!
I really enjoyed this course! Sarah has clear expectations week by week, which allowed us to get into acting and cover a lot of ground without it being overwhelming. I think the work was engaging and I liked the variety in the assignments. It was also fun to be up on our feet so much instead sitting through lectures.
I think 10A with Sarah is a very thorough introductory class on acting. I learned more than I ever imagined I would in an introductory class, and I had a fun time too.
Sarah does such a good job of connecting everybody. Like she connects with us, but she also gets us to connect with each other. It was really cool watching everyone come out of their shells because of those connections. Best class I've taken at the JC so far.
I had the most fun in Sarah's class than I had in years. The most impactful thing is knowing everybody in the classroom and becoming comfortable being myself with out feeling judged. If you're thinking about taking this class, know that it's a safe and supportive space to explore your creativity.
Sarah Wintermeyer is an outgoing teacher who tries to make her theater classes fun. In her theater arts course that I took, she was very organized with step-by-step plans of activities we would do in class, such as improv games and physical warm-ups that work our bodies. I especially loved how Sarah was always there to talk to students for help.
I love Sarah; she is caring and wants to take care of you. She is an incredible teacher. She made the teacher's class so much fun. She is my favorite teacher at the JC. Please take her class, she is wonderful.
Sarah is an awesome professor. Musical Theater is a weird subject to teach but she makes it feel as official as any other class. The class involved lots of hard work with lots of payoff. Sarah is always willing to answer questions / meet for office hour if you need her.
Sarah was incredible, and it was such a fun class ! She genuinely cares about each and every one of her students. She wants you to succeed and she is really great about trying to make time to help you outside of class. Show up and do the work and you're good. I absolutely recommend her
This Musical Theatre Techniques class was truly inspiring and collaborative. Witnessing the talent and passion within the group was genuinely motivating, pushing individuals to strive for their own growth. Sarah's guidance instrumental in nurturing noticible improvements in acting and singing abilities for every single person.
Personally, I don't think there was ever a dull moment in Sarah's class. She gave so much practical doable advice in terms of how to understand my voice, choose audition pieces that actually make me sound good, and then how to prep the music, acting, etc. She really breaks it down.
Sarah has everyone performing every class in musical theater. It was anxiety inducing at first, but by the performanc in the big theater I had gained confidence, experience, and understanding of what to do in a musical. Recommend!
Sarah is a wonderful instructor who cares about her students and puts in a lot of thought & effort to help each person improve and succeed in class. She will challenge you to be better and prepare you for life outside of the classroom. If you have the chance, I highly recommend taking her for any of her classes, especially musical theatre!
Sarah's passion makes every class enjoyible. In her theatre arts course, I especially appreciated how she built a strong sense of community, ensuring everyone felt comfortable to participate and grow.
As a poc, I highly recommend Sarah Wintermeyer because she fosters an incredibly supportive and inclusive learning environment. Her classes are well-paced and packed with diverse activities. She genuinely cares and pushes us to explore our potential while making the learning process fun.
Sarah consistently provided personalized feedback and encouragement, which empowered me to take creative risks and deepen my understanding of the craft. If you want to be on your feet singing, dancing, and acting every class, take Musical Theatre with her.
Sarah is great. She grades by point system, so my final was only 6% of my final grade. Super participation heavy, and lots partner work.
I literally love Sarah so much I had sooooo much fun taking this class I made so many friends in this class thanks to her, she gives very fun lectures which made me more than willing to come to class and always has a fun class warm up before and even better class project to do! Will definitely be taking another class with her!!
Sarah is a really fun and chill professor and her classes were never boring.
If you have to take a theatre class, make sure this is your teacher. She makes sure that class is fun while learning without it feeling like work. She broke out of the wall i attempted tp put up effortlessly, causing me to find a new interest in writting skits. Without Sarah's class, I wouldn't have the confidence I do today. Thank you very much
This teacher was amazing if you were ever on the fence about taking a theater class this teacher was a great teacher. She truly cares about what she's teaching and the students she's teaching as well!!!
One of the best professors I have taken a class with. She is very uplifting and energetic. If there is ever anything wrong she is there for you. Be prepared to have to talk to people, there are some group projects so learn to communicate and let loose in this class. Highly recommend and would definitely take a class with her in the future.
Push yourself out of your comfort zone. Sarah is great at helping people make friends while learning the material, so find a way to bring your walls and enjoy your creativity.
Sarah is an absolute gem! This class was legit fun, and I made friends, all thanks to her amazing teaching style. Her lectures are entertaining and the warm-ups are great.
She amazing
She is enthusiastic and a ton of fun, while at the same time provides so much information about acting and the theater. Her teaching style is very engaging.
Sarah's class is a vibe. She's got energy for what we're doing and she Shows Up every class and that makes others Show Up too. You have to experience it for yourself.
Noone else I'd rather take a theater class with!!
Sarah Wintermeyer is a fantastic director! She cared about every detail, and though she never expected perfection, she always knew when she could push us to do more. I felt challenged and I left feeling more skilled because of it. She made everyone feel valued no matter their role and everyone was so connected. RTC, a truly unique and special show
Sarah is the most caring, genuine, and hard working professor you will ever have. She is an absolute gem and if you get a chance to take her class or work on a production with her, take it! She will challenge you and remind you that you are capable of doing hard things. She will be there for you in whatever you need, big or small. She is amazing.
I took this professor for the semester show and it was amazing. While tough, you can tell that it is because she has such a care for her students and her craft. Amazingly talented and stunningly kind, working with her was such a treat. If you have the opportunity to work with her, do!
By far the best director of any show I've ever been in. Her creative vision, and drive for greatness is inspiring. This show has left me feeling like we've left our own mark on the canon of this musical.
