*Very hard to understand, teachs at a level beyond the scope of the class, no textbook, refuses to listen to constructive critism. Very little respect for his students.Dropped the course after I got a 30% on my first test. Same coures, differant prof.=97%

This class was a waste of my time. He is so horrible. You can't understand him, and he can't teach. When you ask him questions about the h/w or tests, he just laughs at you. He doesn't fail anyone on tests. However, if your major requires you to get a C in this class, don't take it!

I took calculus in high school and got in A in there with no problems at all. I took math101 because that is all I need to fulfill my gened requirements. He is by far the worst teacher I have ever had. He gives examples but does not explain them, and his tests make no sense either.

I wrote a letter of complaint about his method. he doesn't care if you cheat. he degrades students in class in front of others. he messed up my grade because he didnt like me. avoid him at all costs!

I never hated math until I took basic statistics at Lock Haven. The fact that the entire math department sucks and doesn't like calculators is what amazes me. I recieved a D and the highest grade on a test I got was a 30. He has to curve so much because he can't teach. You can't understand a word he says and he can't understand his own notes.

This man is a disgrace to the entire higher education system. He doesn't connect with students and is unapproachable. In order to attempt to compensate for his inability to teach grades are often curved instead of taking the time to teach the material. How this man still has a job is beyond me.

This man is a true disgrace to teaching. Never in my life have I seen such a grading scale, one in which 30-40 percents out of 100 are considered C's and higher. His attempt to speak the English language is laughable at best. He does not care about students, and every time he receives a paycheck, it is a serious waste of state system finances.

Terrible teacher.. Can not understand at all, and don't try to ask him a question because he won't answer it and will look at you like your dumb for asking a question.. I would only take him if you don't care to learn becasue his grading scale is crazy.. a 45% was a C on the last test.. and a 75% was an A.

The worst teacher I've ever had. You can't understand him. Every test he has is on something you didn't learn. In math you can sometimes use diff. methods, not to him. His way or the highway and his way is ten steps longer than it has to be. Horrible teacher. You're better off teaching yourself. That's what I ended up doing.

He can barely speak english and he is a horrible teacher. His tests have things on them that you never learned. If you learned how to do the problems a different way or use the methods in the book you will get them wrong on the test. You need to do the problems the way he teaches them which makes no sense and you cant even figure them out.

He's grading scale is very easy but you are teaching yourself the whole time in his class. He asks if you have any questions and if you ask one he will tell you to go look back in your notes or in the book. Worst teacher ever

Honestly, the most unhelpful professor I have ever had. He does not explain things for you in class in any comprehensible manner. Also if you use anything but his EXACT prescribed method for an equation, you lose all points for that test. He should have been fired a long time ago.

Unless you understand broken english do not take him. If you can already Know calculus then he would be a good professor only if you fully understand calc one because he does curve grades. He teachs nothing clearly you should just drop this class know like over half my class did. get out and run now.

Walked into class, sat down, listened to a lot of mumbling that I couldn't understand, watched him draw aimlessly on the board, walked out of class, went to my advisor and changed my class. Didn't even last one day. You'll need to learn your text book and teach yourself for a good grade. (so im told)

I took trig/precalc honors in 11th grade and got an A.. I was put in Math112 as a freshman and got a C-.. the highest grade I got on an exam was a 30%!!! He contradicts everything he says and used football analogies all of the time. His English is very broken and very difficult to understand. The text book taught me more than he did. NEVER AGAIN!

This professor is AWFUL! I was put into Math112 as a freshman and got a “C” after having high “B” in high school. Major language barrier because you never know what he is saying. Not very helpful outside the classroom. Indicates textbook is wrong. The problems can only be done his way or it’s wrong. NEVER AGAIN will I take him.

Stays on one problem throughout the class period, very hard to understand. This class is horrible. The professor is hard to understand and he makes no sense half the time. At the beginning of the semester anything above an 85% was an A, now anything above a 70% is an A. NOBODY HAS AN A! We had a substitute for almost 3 weeks and my quiz grades were 100% now they are back down to below 50% again...

He is the worst professor I have ever had! I have no idea how he even went through college. If you ever get him I would advise you to DROP before you start! He does not explain anything and every question he does someone always corrects him he is AWFUL. I would give him a 0 if i could. He is disrespectful and just uneducated. I could go on and on.

I was really good at math in high school. Then I came to Fernando's class. Oh boy. It's rough. Thankfully, he uses mymathlab where I can get an explanation of the material because you certainly won't get in class. His accent is thick. He's on probation so he cannot fail anyone.

Dr. Fernando was awful. He has an accent that is hard to understand and he doesn't project his voice for the class to hear. When he grades exams he grades how you get the answer, not if you get the problem correct. He said "There's only one way to get an answer to a math problem" and we all know that's not true.

Awful class. I'm a junior and I had a 4.0 until this class. Professor can't explain his examples, so how does he expect us to? He often contradicts the textbook, insisting we do things his way. His tests are difficult and different than the homework problems that he assigns.

you cant hear him speak. he doesnt give exam reviews. more specifically, doesnt tell you what to study. he just says the things in the exam are the things youve been learning. the program mymathlab is where you do your homework, but the content on the program is nothing like the material he teaches you in class.

I wouldn't take this professor again. There is a language barrier and he is very hard to understand. He writes everything and projects it on the projector but it's very hard to understand what is going on still. You also must do all of the work exactly how he does it or he will take off points, even if you get the correct answer. Never again.

There is a severe language barrier with this professor. If he wasn't tenured I don't think he would have a job. He can rarely explain his own examples but will expect you to explain yours. He talks like he's speaking to an auditorium of 200 students, even though there might only be 10 kids in the classroom. Never stops to let students try answering
