I took his lab in Fall 2017. He is the best teacher I have had so far. His pre-lab talks were to the point. I highly recommend his class.

Dr. Sathya is an exceptional teacher! He is super knowledgeable in Chemistry and he clearly enjoys the subject, gives lots of helpful examples to make sure you understand the material. kept the class quite lively and went at a good pace. He made hard class fun and easy to grasp because of his teaching style & techniques. High recommend him only!!!

I took Mr. Sathya for CHEM1107. He's very clear on his expectations, and will work with you if you don't understand the material. He doesn't offer extra credit per se, but makes it possible to recover if you're struggling. I do recommend him if you're in a competitive program and need to get an A, but don't expect to coast.

Sathya is an awesome professor who explains things well and doesnt move on until students really understand the material. He goes out of his way to help students(i.e. his office hours are very flexible, answers emails promptly, holds study sessions, etc)He has several tricks/stories to help us remember the material/inf. One of the best instructors at RCTC HANDS DOWN! Dr. Sathya has a clear grading criteria and overall educational goals for his students and if you ever need help, he is very flexible and typically available after class. He is very caring and understanding about life getting in the way, so don't be scared to talk to him about extensions or anything!

Labs he would help walk through and not leave you on your own. Weekly post labs were very on topic and based on previous work. Professor Balasubramanian is an excellent chemistry educator. He emphasizes the importance of studying the material, yet also takes his time to make sure everyone understands the concept during lectures. Also, he is always willing to clarify any questions and help out outside of class.

Attending the lectures is not mandatory but very highly recommended. Pretty easy class if you do all that is asked and use all of the resources given.

Sathya had so many good ways of explaining the material. He made it super easy to understand and study. I got A's on all my tests through him and I barely had to study. He makes sure you know all the materials you will need for tests and is very invested in your learning and experience. Just take the material and his class seriously. That is key.

One of the best professors you will ever have but be ready to work hard. Not an easy A class, a lot of hard work needs to be put in to earn top grades. Get labs done ON TIME!! Sathya was one of the best professors I've had. Chemistry is not an easy subject, and the course itself was not a walk in the park. However, as long as you are dedicated to putting in the work Sathya is one of the best people to have on your team of support. He's really good at his job and teaches very well, but the class was just really hard. The tests were MUCH harder than the homework. The class average on exams was always around 60-65%. He did graze over important topics occasionally, but again he was a good teacher and a good person. Very relaxed deadlines.

The class can be hard and confusing at times but make sure you ask for help. Get your labs done on time. Show up to class. He goes through the material in his lecture so attend lectures. Overall he was very nice and understanding. He cares about the students.

I took Chem 1127 and 1128 with him and he was a great professor to me all year. He was very clear in his lectures and was very organized in his teaching. He was lenient if you were having troubles but also made it aware to be on top of things because chemistry can be a difficult subject. I would highly recommend him over any other chem proff tbh!

Sathya is probably one of the best professors I have had teach me. He is very fair and upfront about what to expect for all his tests, and he will go above and beyond to ensure you are well taught in the material presented. The class gpa was fairly average, but I personally found the course easy with proper studying.

I've had chem courses but Mr. Sathy has perfected it. I think a lot of people can learn from him and his formula for teaching. I've never been a big fan of chemistry, but Sathya taught it in a way that kept it interesting, you could tell he genuinely cared about what he was speaking about. He was also very understanding and made sure every student understood the material before he moved on. There was no busy work assigned so that was a plus.

There is a lot of homework and a lot of lab quizzes and general quizzes to be able to coddle your grade for the big tests. His tests are multiple choice/scantron. You have an hour to take the tests. No textbook, just his personally made PowerPoints. He is a real gem. I wish he taught more science classes at RCTC.

Sathya was an AMAZING professor. He often re-opened quizzes that us students either didn't get the chance to do or did bad on. His lectures are fast but he over explains things that make it easier to grasp. He is VERY understanding and is willing to work almost anything out with you just communicate don't leave him in the dust. I love this teacher!

His homework's are guaranteed A's since you get multiple attempts and his exams minus the final are based off of his practice questions so as long as you study those you can at least get a B on the tests.

Sathya does a really great Job on his lectures, he makes sure everybody in the class understands the concept he is teaching before he moves on to the next, and answers his emails promptly and he clearly wants his students to succeed in the class, but you have to put in the work and show up to the lectures or there is no way you'll do well.

All of lectures are recorded and accessible after the class. He gives students exam reviews that directly correspond to the exam and genuinely wants his students to succeed.

Chem 1128 is definitely more difficult content wise than 1127 but Sathya goes to every length to make sure each person was caught up. He is always available for questions and is extremely kind. As long as you put in the work and review the content, there is no reason you can't succeed in this class.

Sathya is a no-nonsense fast talker that, at the same time, is easy to get along with and cares about you being able to understand chemistry. Ask questions and he will give plenty of practice problems in class and for homework. Homework is fairly light, but the major exams can be tricky. Be prepared to study hard for his major exams.

Professor was very honest and truthful. He cared more about the students understanding the material than the time in which the material actually get done. Very forgiving but stern about the homework and quizzes. He prepared us well for each exam with his method of having unlimited times to practice homework and practice questions.

His lectures are clear and straightforward and while attendance isn't mandatory I would go to every lecture as his tests match what is taught in those lectures very well.

Professor Sathya was easy to follow, and the repetition of key concepts helped reinforce my understanding of the material. He also offered zoom review sessions before exams, which made me feel that he wanted us (students) to succeed.
