Miss Andrasian's class is as difficult as you make it. If you attend the class, turn in your papers on time the way she clearly instructs you to, you will pass the class. If you need help, get it in but in time not the day before your paper is due. Be prepared to write a lot, it is an english class, and READ what she assigns. DO NOT miss the final.

This teacher is awesome! Very easy and overall helpful. She is not to easy on turning in late work so watch out for that. As long as you do your hw and turn in essays and try she will pass you! She loves to talk to conversate!

Class is what you make it. It's tough at first, but if you keep up with the reading and assignments you should be okay. Pay close attention to the expectations to drive improvement. Instructor is open for questions and offer help via email. Very willing to work with students to ensure that there is clarity on assignments and grading.

Awesome reading material!! This professor makes class fun and interesting. She is super helpful and goes out of her way to tailor the class to meet the students' needs. Just make sure to do the work. There's no cutting corners in this class. Expect to read a lot, write a lot, and learn a lot. This class will help you do better in other classes too.

Awesome class! Makes it fun with themed reading. Must participate and do the reading as there is lots of discussion. If you think you can skate through and not do all the reading, you are wrong! Be warned. Cares about students and expects you to put in the work.

Andrasian is a great professor! She truly cares for her students and while her class is not an easy A, she is more than willing to help in any way she can. Reading the assigned books is a must, if you don't read you will be lost in the many group discussions.

Very specific on what she wants. syllabus is helpful. make sure to read your book a lot of in class discussions and if you dont have your book with you she will ask you to leave. very sweet but VERY STRICT on grading. gives 5% xtra credit if you are willing to get help at the writing center. only reccomend if you are a strong writer.

I loved this English class! The books were fun to read and the professor makes it so you are always building on your writing skills. You need to work for it. She does not just hand out As. But if you are willing to put in the work, she will go above and beyond to help you.

Don't get me wrong, there's a LOT of reading, but it's good reading. Tons of papers, but you can edit and add to the smaller papers and use them for the longer papers so if you are smart, you are only doing half of the work. Tough but fair grader, so make sure you learn from the feedback and ask questions. Group work every class so it's engaging.

Awesome class! Of course you have to read, of course you have to write. Honestly, one of my favorite classes and favorite professors. You decide what you want to write on in terms of topic and literary work. As long as you do ALL your work you should honestly be fine. The class is only hard if you make it difficult for yourself.

If youre lazy dont think about taking this class. You wont cut it. Professor Andrasian is super sweet and has a great personality, but shes strict. What makes her class so special is that she knows how to give students options. Youre not forced to write on a book you dont like. There are 7 books to pick from and all very interesting.

The Professor of this course sets the stage from day 1. Expectations and and rules are made clear to all that attend. A student that takes his/her education seriously and not for the ride shall do fine. The class is simple if the rules and guidelines are adhered to. She does grade hard but she gives tremendous feedback and direction.

She's pretty great when it comes to discussions but overall lectures could use more effort, she rarely actually teaches and most the class is originated around talking to TAs and peers.

Very nice professor, very tough grader. Never got below an A on papers until I got to her class. Must say she made me a better writer though. Expect quizzes every class that can be tough, but essays and workshops help fix your grade if you put in effort.

Prof. Andrasian gives lots of reading buts its easy books and shes graded pretty tough but she made me a much better writer. Shes really flexible and if you respect her and her class she will work with you. At first i didnt enjoy her class but shes a wonderful person and now i enjoy her class even if its a lot of essays and reading.

She is such an awesome professor, really enhanced my writing ability. I do have to worn that there is a lot of reading and a lot of papers that need to be turned in. She really makes you earn that A on your assignments.

Professor Andrasian is a VERY tough grader. She expects her students to deliver their absolute best, which is intimidating yet rewarding once you get through her class. She is easily accessible via email & she gives great feedback. Shes very analytical & precise. Lots lecturers & articles. DO NOT MISS CLASS! She is strict but very caring & kind.

If you want to become a better writer, this is the class for you. If you love Harry Potter and want to be challenged and have fun, this is the class for you. The types of papers we wrote were wide-ranging (reflections, a Daily Prophet article, a dream analysis, etc.). Just make sure you read/skim the articles assigned and be ready to discuss them.

So, bottom line, Prof. Andrasian cares about her students. You can tell she's really passionate about the subject matter. She is super helpful to anyone who asks for it. But if you don't ask for it and you think you are fine, she will leave you alone. This creative writing class is really fun! It's a lot of work too.

There are 6 essays, 1 presentation, and 2 finals (2 professors) for this class. Your grade is built on those essays. I got mostly C's on her assigned essays and Bs/As on the other professor's essays. It is tough because she grades harder but its possible. They are super sweet and funny. They were great transitioning into online classes. Take it!!

So I just finished the 8-week B1B course and I thought it went really well. The prof. was super clear, average workload, and well organized. She even offers extra credit if you do a zoom session with her to get help on your paper. It really helped me out. It's a fast class, but if you can handle that, I say take her.

Prof. Andrasian is amazing! This is a team taught course she teaches with her husband and they are great! The course is Harry Potter themed and they are such nerds! She is definitely the McGonagall of the two. She's more stern and strict and has higher expectations but it balances out his kooky Fred and George ways.

This class is great because we don't get nickel and dimed on points for everything. But the downside is that our grade is made up of only 4 assignments. I asked for zoom meetings and the prof was really helpful and I ended up getting A/B every time. We do fun activities and she's really insightful. There's a lot of group work, which is a toss up.

The 8week version of this class went so fast! It was great! Just enough work! Loved the reading selectons. The peer feedback could be hit/miss which can be annoying, but everythig else in the class was good. I liked how we got to know our classmates in a chill way. Highly recomment

The 1B class is pretty straightforward. She's a solid professor and gets back to students quickly. Offers extra credit and good feedback. I just found out that she is teaching a Black Mirror B3 class that sounds cool to sign up for. If it's going to be anything like her 1b class, it'll be good and pretty fun to take.

I just took the 8wk 1B class this semestr. It went pretty well. She has everything really organized. She answers her emails really fast. If you ask her for help, she likes to help you. It ws the typical amount of work you can expect for a shorter class. Highly recommend.

This class is so much fun! We get a chance to really explore the different types of writing. We bounce ideas off of each other and she only grades us on what we turn in as our best work for that genre. Only thing is, it's a lot of pressure to be graded on just 4 assignments, but at least we get to polish them up and make them our best.

Best English class! Watch Black Mirror episodes for class. Easy textbook with short chapters. Excellent discussions!! Fun and enthusiastic teacher. She actually has us do different interesting and fun activities. Weekly discussion posts. 4 essays that we can build on the discussion posts. Highly Recommend!!

Not going to lie but this class is the hardest class I have this semester. There is writing due every week, but it's a WRITING class so I get it. The prof is really cool. She's organized and a good teacher. I'm signing up to take her B3 next semester! If you want to take a class that will challenge you but be fun, take her. She cares and is nice.

This class gave me the confidence to write. I loved the assignments. It's a lot of writing every week, but I learned so much. I appreciate the professor and what she put into making the class. I never was into creative writing, but now I am into writing short stories. The hardest part was analyzing my own writing, but it made me a better writer.

Hard grader with high expectations. Very informative and willing to help you as long as you're reciprocal. ENG B3 was by far my favorite class this semester. It's tailored around the Black Mirrors series on Netflix. How often do you get to watch a series for class? Minimal readings, and engaging discussions/zoom activities. Highly recommend.

I took an online course that was Black Mirror themed. I got an A, but barely! She doesn't accept late work, but there is also no final and no midterm - just essays. She is caring, funny, and responsive. I highly recommend this class, because it is interesting and not overtly difficult, but you do have to participate and put the work in.

The class is really interesting. There's a lot of group work which can suck if you have a bad group. The prof will lead the class but won't do the work for the class. So if the class isn't participating, the prof will just keep asking questions. Overall, great time when the class is participating and you've got a good discussion going on.

I've taken this professor multiple times. In all her classes her canvas is great & organized. She gets back to students quickly. She doesn't lecture very much. She typically does a lot of group discussion and whole class discussion. She's a great teacher. She cares about her students and wants them to do well.

Favorite class of all time!!! The Black Mirror theme is interesting. We watch 1 episode to talk about for each class. Great discussions! Fun activities! Not too much work. Only 4 papers. 10 Discussion posts. The discussion posts really helped me be a better writer. I can write a solid thesis now. Awesome teacher! Highly recommend this class.

I took professor Andrasian and she was amazing! Workload was great, only one discussion per week and only 4 papers! This class helped my writing so much, I feel like I can think about things a little deeper than before and can write a good paper. The Black Mirror theme was cool and made class discussions interesting! Would take again.

This semester we had to read all the Harry Potter books and watch all the movies, you can get by with watching the summaries of the books but you will need access to the books for the essays, the work is fairly easy, plan ahead for essays, lots of group work during zoom classes, like every class meeting. Fun final project. Fun classroom setting.

I just got my first paper back and I have to say that I am really enjoying this English class. The prof is quick to respond to emails and gets back to me if I need extra help. She is fair with her grading and gives good feedback. She has a great canvas class set up that is easy to use. Her directions are all very clear. Highly Recommend!

If you want a prof who knows how to actually teach a class on zoom, pick her!!! Zoom classes can really suck but not hers. She knows how to do it right. She has great activities for each class session and knows how to make the classes interesting and everyone is into it. It's pretty cool. I recommend you to take her classes especially if it's zoom.

She is a great professor who goes into great detail about everything on the episodes. She is very easy to talk to and very nice. She gives great feedback and wants people to do great in her class. You can miss up to 4 classes.

This prof is legit! Her theme is advertising. You get tons of help when writing essays. Great class activities. You get feedback right away when she grades our papers. I was nervous about that at first, but it was really helpful and made my writing so much better. Just the right amount of work. Not too much HW or lab work. No book needed. Fun class

Make sure you write the essays and write enough pages and have all the sources she wants or you could get a 0. There are only 3 essays but she allows you to make up the first 2 if you get less than an A and write the reflection that goes with it. The advertising theme made the class interesting. I hate English, but the prof made it easy and fun.

This is a class you WANT to take! The professor cares so much and her activities helped me be a better writer. She makes the class FUN! We became such a close class and had great discussions about Black Mirror. We all looked forward to class. That's RARE. The prof is really smart and accessible. She WANTS to help us succeed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Great online class! Good reading selections. It helped writing all those papers be easier. The peer editing process was annoying to do but helpful. I met with the prof through the semester and she's really nice. The canvas course is organized and easy. Clear directions on her assignments. She gives good feedback on the essays. I'd take her again.

Love this class! I learned a lot about how to analyze commercials/ads with fun activities. I only wrote 3 papers. You can rewrite 2. She helps you the whole way like training wheels. Take her help. Her final is so creative! If you like being creative, take her. You get to make your own commercial or ad and then analyze it in 6-7 pages. Mid grader.

An amazing professor. The Black Mirror theme was very interesting. Class was difficult at the beginning, but I did grow as a writer with Prof. Andrasian's help. She was very caring and would give feedback on assignments. Class was always interesting or even fun, as she would create activities that sparked our interest as a class. 10/10 recommend :)

Finished this 8week class and it was ok. It's a lot of work because its only 8wks.She's quick to email and did a zoom with me to help me on my essay. She lets you pick your best essay for each unit for her to grade. The book was interesting. I had a good experience and recommend this class to anyone who can keep up with the workload.

I enjoyed this class. The professor did a great job on setting up the course with interesting readings and assignments. She helps you wit your essays and gives extra credit for meeting with her. You can tell she cares. I would take her again.

I'm gonna focus on the class and not the prof cuz she's ok. The class is 8 weeks. Their are 3 esays and it's all about writing about music songs. Its interesting but really hard. This class would prob be better for ppl who R good with online classes and writing and like music.

I enjoyed the class and thought the assignments were good to help me with my writing. My writing improved a lot. The hardest part about the class was it was so fast because its only 8 weeks. You can turn in your essays early to get help on them. The teacher is quick at answering questions and she really cared. I would take her again.

This is my favorite class! It is the highlight of my week! I wish prof Andrasian's portion was in person, but it was nice that she popped in a few clsss sessions so we can know her. Jones is a great teacher. He's funny and caring. She seems like a good teacher too but since she's online, we don't get much interaction. I loved all their activities!

I can't believe this semester is almost done and I won't have this class anymore! You learn so much on how to think critically and be a stronger writer! I can also now make pretty good videos! The papers are hard but interesting. I definitely feel prepared to go to UCLA next year now that I've taken Prof. Andrasian! She works with you to improve.

Great reading and lots of ops for help on assignments. Take advantage of it and it'll work for you. Decent workload. Got good feedback. Didn't take forever to get back to us. I had an issue and reached out to her and she was nice about it. I recommend this prof.

Take this class if you want to have fun while you learn! I am a stronger writer and can analyze at a deeper level because of this class! I wasn't that into Harry Potter but the final project of overlapping my interest with HP made the class more relevant to me. The profs are both so great! Wish this was all in person. I hear their dynamic was epic.

Professor Andrasian pushed me beyond what I thought I was capable of when it came to writing. She was forced me to think more deeply and critically than I ever have before. I am forever grateful for her insight. The Harry Potter class is paper heavy, lots of reading and deep, analytical thinking.
