This teacher has definitely been one of the most helpful fun instructors i've EVER had - easygoing, loves helping students and tries to explain topics in such a way that would keep us interested. The class is entertaining too - he doesn't just read off a paper but has an actual knowledge (how refreshing!) and uses humor to keep us happy. Fabulous.

For the whole semester his classes were in power point. So if you don't have time to attend class you can get them on his website. Only time you really have to show up for class is to write your tests and quizes. There is no final exam for this course... which is sweet! At the end of the semester you have to write a little critic.Easy, fun and good!

I think this professor seems like more of a learner than a teacher; he often goes off on tangents, and while these tangents may be relevant to the topic being discussed, he often doesn't make clear connections in his lecturing or powerpoints, often making the course material seem unorganized to students who don't have a prior knowledge in the area.

Prof Barham had to be one of my favorites in my first year, His lectures often don't have much to do with assignments but are quite interesting otherwise. He has 1-2 Assignments weekly but is very easy to complete even on a time crunch. His grading style is very helpful and gives great feedback on how to improve. Also gives great 3D assignments!

Very competent in a plethora of fields, quite personable and accessible. Very reasonable with his submittal due dates. History-heavy lectures, lots of assignments but beneficial nonetheless. Definitely would recommend this instructor.

Very nice in first week of lab but incredibly rude in second week. Yelled at and insulted students who did not understand his confusing set of instructions. He did so in a manner that was embarrassing and humiliating to the students. As an ED2, you kinda just have to power through these 2 weeks, but I strongly advise people to not take his courses.

Lectures were interesting and he usually had stories from his own experiences to go along with it. Very casual with deadlines and would usually give an extra day or two as long as it was done well. Not a lot of work for the class, would usually take no more then an hour to complete assignments.

Genuinely my favourite prof ever. So passionate and engaged even on Webex lectures. Lenient and reasonable with grades. Assignment details can be a little fuzzy but it always gets clarified eventually. Clearly knows what he's talking about and provides endless historical and cultural context in his lectures. Get ready to draw though lol.

Every enthusiastic about what he's teaching and his lectures are pretty interesting. He goes on random rambles all the time and doesn't make a lot of sense. Very supportive of people's art skills and opinions. Lots of little assignments that take a lot of time.

What to say about Scott… honestly he is hilarious. I don't typically love online courses but he's done a really good job of making this one enjoyable. He does hold lectures in the evenings 2x a week, but they're recorded if you're unable to attend. Really fun/creative course and I actually feel like I'm learning a lot.

Great guy, his lectures are very interesting. I like this class a lot and would definitely suggest others to take it. Although, half the difficulty of this class is trying to figure out when the due dates of everything are. There is no clear assignment schedule, no syllabus, and grades don't appear on UMLearn for some reason.
