Brady is a very enthusiastic guy. He's always in a good mood, cracks some great jokes, and his interpretation on stories--especially about his sons--are simply halirious. As for the course, it's fairly easy. Just do the question assignments and read!

Y'all can like this guy. He is from Lousiana and he likes crabfish. He has a lot to talk about. Though his class is busy with homeworks, exams, and book reading. As long as y'all keep up with his schedule there is no reason to get a bad grade from him.

This guy bends over backwards to help his students pass. If you can't pass his class with a b or better you should consider dropping out of school. By far one of the best, intersting, and helpful professors at csuc.

Good teacher, really cares about students and gets to know them on personal basis. Easy "A" class for me, very enjoyable. If you need help he is more than willing to take extra time and make sure you understand.

can he be any more lazy?? The class started out great, we read a book that was very interesting. Soon after we finished that we did teacher evaluations, and once that was over the class went downhill, he didn't care anymore. We didn't have any more good discussions, classes became pretty pointless. I lost my respect for him.

Brady incorporates humor into his lectures making it easier to understand the material presented. He applies Human Geography to our lives and our surroundings in Chico which is also fun. Weekly question sets are randomly collected. Previous tests are posted on his website (he uses the majority of the questions on them for the real tests).

He is way nice. There is a lot of homework that you have to keep up on. But I see him on campus and he still says hi and asks how I am doing. His lectures are funny and I think I learned a couple of things too!

Brady is one of the best teachers I have ever had in college. His lectures are alway interesting and he trys to make the class fun. Plus he took a group of us to New Orleans this last year for Mardi Gras, so much fun. You must take at least one class from him to make your college experence complete.

Dr. Brady is the real s@#$. He is smart, objective, concise, and entertaining. Ettendance matters, and don't think you can sleep through it. Be attentive and involved in class and you will walk away happy, educated, and with a good grade

Great teacher and a fun class. He makes it interesting. do the worksheets to ace the quizzes, and the tests are exactly like the online study guides. oh and he gives a week off here and there like when he goes to louisiana around mardi gras. i would totally recomend him. just show up to class and do the work. extra points for jokes on exams.

steve brady is an awesome professor. he interacts with his class and gets to know his students. quizzes are based on the readings, and are pretty easy. tests are repeated questions from the quizzes..also from previous exams he posts online.

Not sure why everyone likes him. he shows photo albums of trips he has taken to central america and cracks jokes all class. It's all fun and games until we started getting test scores back. I'm on the dean's list and have taken over 25 college courses. he is one of the worst professors I've seen.

I was pleased with this course. I took it online, so all we had to do was take a mid-term, a final, and write a research paper. The teacher explains the material in a clear mannor and he is extremely helpful. I was pleased with the class and the professor.

He is a great teacher. I don't like this subject and he made it really interesting. Attendance is not mandatory but if you go it helps a lot! His tests are just like the practice ones he gives you, they are almost exactly alike. Study them and you'll do great!

This class was informative and interesting. Scott is a funny guy who loves teaching and cares about his students. Reading assignments and problem sets are found online, so no pricey textbook is needed. You just need to actually READ THE MATERIAL AND DO THE PROBLEM SETS. If you do this, you will be fine. He'll also happily help during office hours.

Scott Brady was one of my favorite professors ever. He is really funny and he gets to know everyone's name. His tests are really easy. His quizzes are somewhat confusing but they are all 5 questions usually multiple choice. There are quite a few homework assignments but they are really easy. I really recommend his class.

Human Geography with Scott is a great class to fulfill the NW requirement. It was really interesting and he is a really funny, nice guy. He has a lot of knowledge about geography and especially about the topics of this class. Make sure to go to class often because you'll need the notes and discussions for quizzes and tests.

He is a great professor. I have taken two online courses with him this year. I took geography and world affairs, and Central America issues. He is very smart and has field experience. I once forgot to take a test online and he let me retake it. He is the best professor I have had online. His class is easy but super informative. You learn a lot!!!

Took him for Geog 102. He is a good guy, kind of funny, but he grades things like an English teacher instead of what the content is. Make sure you read everything to stay caught up. Pretty common knowledge class.

Online I hate this class. It's really hard to keep up on the information that he wants you know from the readings. His tests are horrible. They are always "find the incorrect answer" and one word might be off it's a horrible online class. I am an online student and I would never take him as an online teacher again.

Excellent instructor. Keeps class moving and interesting. Takes exam questions from the study guides, so doing them is almost a necessity. He uses the textbooks often, so don't skip buying them. Is very helpful when asked, so if you're not passing, you're not trying.

LOVED him. There is usually homework, but it's not hard. It can be time consuming though. Going to class is always really interesting. He has great stories and is just a really funny and nice guy. The way he talks reminds me of Rob Dyrdek. His quizzes are easy, but the exams can be difficult. Overall, I would definitely recommend taking Dr. Brady

he is an amazing guy and a great teacher! He is my all time favorite teacher so far at CSUC. He always cracks jokes and has tons of great stories. I'm always excited to go to class and it's never very hard. Homework is easy and done from the book and his tests aren't too hard as long as you study and keep up with assignments.

Such an easy class if you read the material. Took online and the only assignments are 3 online exams, exams are tricky (every question is multiple choice, and asks "which answer is false? a.b.c.d.)." Really cool power points! Never had to ask for help bc everything was very clear. And NO BOOK :)

The Class is not dificult if youget the books early,read and to the assignments.you should not have any truble with the tests if you study the old ones he provides you.Class is interesting because he incorparates some of his life into his lectures.

If not willing to do an insane amount of work, look for a different professor. I'm taking an upper division class online and I regret it. There are only 4 tests. Easy right? Wrong! You not not only have to do all of the readings, but on the tests must choose the wrong answer out of 4 questions. Such an incredibly difficult class!

Professor Scott Brady is awesome! He is very helpful. If you need help, email and he will respond. I had no interest in geography before his class, and while in it, I LOVED it! There is no physical textbook; he provides online reading, as well as a study guide for every test. If you follow everything he states, you will pass with an A.

Brady is more concerned with being funny and social than in educating or grading objectively. His exams are unnecessarily difficult and go beyond the scope of assigned reading. Even if you earn what should be an A he will grade you down. Do the readings, and be diligent in your studies, and you too can feel robbed of your proper grade. Terrible.

I took Dr. Brady back in my Freshman year of college for one of my GE requirements and to this day I still believe he is one of the best teachers I have had. He takes a very dry topic and makes it very interesting.

Super easy if you take the class online. Easy to cross reference material. Open all the readings in tabs and Ctrl+C, Ctrl+F, and Ctrl+V will be your best friends for this class. Difficult if you take the tests without reading the material first or at least skimming it. By material, I mean the answer keys provided online. I never opened a textbook.

Dr. Brady makes class fun. He has good insights into the world. He taught me about the world (demographics, and statistics). He cracks a lot of jokes. His Louisiana accent and sayings make the class even better. I highly recommend him. You have to show up to class to turn in HW and do the occasional quiz. Test are straight from Hw and quizzes.

I took Dr. Brady for GEOG357 and for the GE pathways. Knows a lot about Latin America, includes his personal experiences. No textbook, but a lot of online articles. Question sets, quizzes, midterm, and a final. Option paper, if you felt you needed it. Attendance wasn't mandatory Read the articles, do the hw, pay attention; easy grade. Don't be lazy

He sure is a fun teacher, but he is awful at teaching. He comes to class and talks about what he did over the weekend and shows pictures of his trips, then gives very difficult quizzes and tests. You have to teach yourself by reading all the articles he assigns. Unless you have a VERY THOROUGH understanding of the material, you're doomed to fail.

He assigns about 30-40 pages to read from this extremely dense book called "Guns, Germs, And Steel" and has a writing assignment due on those 30-40 pages the next day. It takes about two hours to finish one chapter and another half hour to do his writing assignments. If you're an engineering major and hate reading assignments don't take his class.

There is a bit more reading than usual in this class but you don't actually have to read in full depth on every assignment, none of his work is hard just tedious. His assignments should not take you very long to do. He himself is an amazing person, he pulled me aside and when I began to slip in class and told me "Come on man, I know you can do this

Entire grade is 4 tests, multiple choice and short essay. All texts provided online, most have guided notes, answer keys provided, some addtl videos, PPTs. One module didn't have guided notes and was much harder. Put in the time to read and answer the questions and you'll do fine. But if you want a teacher to TEACH, this is not the class for you.

He didn't really lecture as the class mostly consisted of field work, readings and write ups. It takes a while to figure out what he's looking for but he gives you a chance to improve your write ups. You need a bicycle for the fieldwork. That being said, he's hillareous and picks on his students but in a fun way. Do all the work and pass.

He is probably one of the funniest professors I've ever had. Since the class is so small, he takes the time to get to know you and where you're from. His quizzes are 5 questions and you can get an extra credit point by writing a joke that he thinks is funny. Doing the hw does help you a lot. Even if you don't do the hw, he posts the keys to study.

He held an exam during Chavez, we didn't even have school that day. During the COVID pandemic, he did not accommodate for anyone with anything- instead he encouraged me to get a D and said "try harder" on the exams (which there are only literally 3 things he grades- 3 exams). He doesn't put up study guides or question set keys on time.

In this class we had a very short quiz (only 5 questions) each week based on the lectures and articles we needed to read, along with 3 exams. Professor Brady gave wonderful lectures and he responds to emails very quickly to answer questions. As long as you actually read the articles and pay attention to the lectures, you'll get a good grade.

Scott is a very good professor and his sense of humour keeps his lectures from being stale. Just be prepared to have homework due every class period. There will be good amount of reading to do as well. Luckily he is all about 2nd chances and if you do poorly on an assignment you get the chance to redo it.

He was a great professor. I had him for the fall semester 2020 and it was great! There were very few writing assignments that were not hard to do at all. Anyone could tell that he loved his job and that he knew what he was talking about. He didn't make HW mandatory because he thought online courses were already hard.

Professor Brady is a great guy. Decent amount of homework but nothing unmanageable. Takes time to connect with his students. Sometimes the exams are tricky but they are open note which helps a lot. Take GEOG 102 if you need a simple lower division class.

He's pretty funny, and was entertaining but he expects you to know everything after barely teaching it. It's very hands off and he tells you at the beginning of the semester that it is gonna be a hard class so it's not like it's not expected, but it randomly gets very challenging at the end. A lot of the class is outside work too, so be prepared.

Love this professor. I am a geography major so I am a little biased but if you put in the effort and show up to class everyday, this class is not bad. He's a funny guy, and he legitimately does care about his students. The only complaint I have about him is that he doesn't use canvas, rather his own website, which can throw you off. 10/10.

He was an awesome and respectful teacher! This class is heavily outside and participation really matters. He does not accept late work (but definitely try emailing him). Quizzes are easy if you show up to class and keep worksheets. Some info he doesn't go into detail about, but he is super easy to talk to, don't be afraid to start up a conversation

Horrible. Quizzes/exams are a needle in a haystack kind of questions . Prepare to memorize the entire reading/websites forward and backwards. Exam questions seem to be set up so you fail, esp given the short amount of time we have to complete.

Scott is definitely the most fun professor I've ever had. He's very engaging and always has a story to tell, which I personally love. He's very interested in getting to know students and will probably remember your name very easily. One big warning though is that he does not accept late work, so beware. That definitely cost me a lot of points.

Bro is so chill and funny. Our class consisted of just walking around town and looking at the architectural style of houses. It was sooo fun and he rides around on a bike to check on you during class. He teaches very well and it's a really easy class, just make sure you show up or you don't get credit.
