astro 10 is a breaze because scott is so good at reinforcing everything,11 is a little harder.

Scott is by far one of the coolest and best teachers of Los Medanos. He makes the lectures easy to follow and the test are exactly like his lecture notes. I did not even study and still got a B average on the test. He is a great professor.

maybe this class is a little tooooooooooo easy. all you have to do is sit there, take notes in between nap time, take the test (exact same as the notes you took) and pass with an A+++++++++.

Ya, this class was a piece of cake! Unlike Boisvert, the AT tests mean absolutely nothing, so its great! Just study the worksheets & you will do fine on the test.

Easiest class so far at LMC for me. Tests are straight from notes, I got 3 D's so far on the tests and I still have a 92% average in the class. Offers a lot of extra credit to boost your grade. I'm going to miss this class because of how easy it was. Scotts a kool teacher too so it makes class fun.

Im currently taking his class for summer session. And this class is cool - despite the morning time. He knows what he's talking about and you doo learn something if u pay attention. But really easy...he kept giving us points when we didnt do ANYTHING. Very sweet, nice, and dweeby which makes him much cooler!

Cabral is one of the easiest professors that I have had so far. He's clear on what he wants done. No homework really except for the Blackboard stuff which is easy. And you just study the notes for his tests. He teaches like sesame street haha.

It's easy to get a B if you attend(turn in all the work), and take all the tests, but an A you do have to really work for. He grades everything very closely. Scantron midterms can be a little tricky. Great teacher. Every day you go to class you have chance to get 20 points. If you miss classes you can write a 40 line makeup page on a topic and gets all of your points. You can do this 5 times. There is also a lot of extra credit opportunities.Practice tests are almost identical to test given in class. easy!

Fun, interesting class you learn a lot due to the repetitive phrases that seem to get lodged into your head. and that's why he does it. you can pass the class as long as you do you work and pass your tests..extra credit is always welcome with him... he is a great teacher overall highly recommended.

This teacher was extremely clear and helpful. In his discussions, he only went over subjects that would be on the test and always stayed on topic. Rarely ever used textbook, don't bother buying for beginning astro, just look on with a friend. Make sure to attend class due to all the extra credit!

So easy its hard. His lab work was so easy, however it was hard because there was so much of it and I would lose interest in the subject. Very helpful teacher. Make sure you attend his labs because if you miss more than one your grade will drop. Tests but he gives you a study guide very similar to the test so study and you will pass

Wonderful teacher. He does get a bit boring but you'll bare with it. Text book dont bother to buy it. Attend class everyday to get points otherwise dont bother just study the lecture he post on BB and still pass the exams.

"Introduction" to Astronomy is an understatement, this class is beyond easy and if you've ever watched a documentary on astronomy, there won't be much to learn here. That said, Scott is really enthusiastic about the subject and is very helpful and does a lot to keep the material interesting. Nice guy, simple class.

Mr. Cabral is the BOMB!!! he is a heca nice teacher and the class is sssooo easy!!! but he is a really sweat man and he makes everything very easy to understand in the class. he doesnt give too much hw. just observing assignments and online hw. and if you miss a day you can do a makeup hw. just one project throughout the semester. Super easy teacher, very clear and explains things to you as if you were four years old. Te class is also interesting and you get to use the planetarium. Just have to do 4 observing assignments which are easy, and online homework where you read an article and answer 4 questions. You have to do an oral report which is easy. If you can't get on the wait list don't worry, just show up and try to late add, he late adds everyone who shows up with a book. SUPER easy.

Scott is a great guy. He teaches his class like his students are in kindergarten though. So don't take this class expecting it to change your life. You do learn a lot, as the class is pretty slow paced. If you go to class everyday, do all the work, and study just a tiny bit, you'll get an A in the class.

This instructor is fantastic! He is extremely clear with the subject matter. He lectures the exact material on quizzes, then posts it on blackboard too and encourages you to study blackboard and your quizzes, prior to the final. If you show up to every class and study blackboard, no need for the book, otherwise reading the book can ensure an A.

This professor is stellar, he explains the subject matter in a way that everyone can understand. It's difficult to get a low grade if you show up and ask for help if you need it, because he's patient and will explain the subject matter until you get it and if you're lucky, will show you one of his wizard hats too!

This teacher will go down in the books as one of the best at LMC. Teacher cares about his students , you just have to pay attention in class don't need to study. Hes a fan of Carl Sagan and you will see alot of videos on him.

I can't begin to explain how easy this class is. If you don't pass this class, there is no hope for you. There are four exams, and a final; all of the material for the exams are based on his PowerPoint. Prof. Cabral gives so much extra credit it's ridiculous. At one point, he gave the whole class 50 extra x-cred. points bc he was behind in grading

Very understanding and super helpful! He really wants to see people get the subject and pass. If you ask him questions with genuine want to understand the material he will ever answer questions during quizzes and such. Most of the stuff you'll need to pass the tests will be in the notes.

To ensure an A in the class, show up to the lectures for the notes and the points given at the end of class. Complete the assignments the day they are assigned, they are very easy, so don't procrastinate them. STUDY OFF THE PRACTICE TESTS. The man makes it easy for anyone to get an A in his class, so don't be that person who doesn't.

This was an interesting and informative class I wish he taught a continuing course. Cabral bends over backward to help students learn and get good grades. Anyone can get an A in his class with the minimal amount of effort. And Astronomy is awesome!

just cares about you and everyone else. posts a practice test online for every test and they are exactly the same as the real test. highly recommend doing your presentation right away, so you can skip last few weeks of the semester and not worry about anything.

Easy A. The only con is that he was very repetitive. We were able to turn in late work for full credit until the last week. Gives practice tests that are very similar to the one in class, only downside is that it is easy to mixup questions because they will be the same but opposite.

Easiest class in the whole college. Much easier than highschool even. It's almost like hes teaching for a kindergarten class. If only he was my math teacher

Overall an amazing teacher. He is very caring towards his students and tells them to postpone a test if they feel they are not ready for it. I loved his lectures and I came into this class not knowing a lot on Astronomy and I learned so much. Its not too much writing and the observing assignments are so much fun. Definitely take the class for sure!

Cabral is such an easy going teacher! He will always accommodate to the needs of his students. His class is extremely easy. But BEWARE, his class is so easy that it becomes easy to take advantage of that easiness and get a low grade. He's very flexible with turn in dates. Just be responsible for yourself and you'll pass.

Very easy class, most day you have the opportunity to leave early. Attendance is somewhat mandatory because there is in class points but theres easy opportunities to make up those points.

If you are looking to get an easy A, SIGN UP! He is such an easy grade and overall great guy. He does have tests with 100 questions but the study guides he gives his students is almost identical to the test. Only downside is that he is old school and doesnt use canvas.

It was online for me, so as long as you attend the zoom meetings and do the in class quizzes you'll be good. There's not much outside homework. There's unit exams also but he explains things very well. I really enjoyed this class and I learned a lot.

I really loved ASTRO-010 with Cabral online. The lectures are so easy to understand. A lot of it is "simplified" with metaphors, which I really loved because it helps you remember. As long as you go to class (online zoom), and take notes, you will absolutely pass. Homework is done during class. 10/10 would take again.

The semester I took this class I had a full course (15 credits was a big mistake, I don't know how people do it) and this class was great because it caused me no stress at all. Even the final was so straightforward and easy. The teacher is so nice and will help you out. The best part? He prefers cameras off for his Zoom lectures.

The nicest teacher Ive ever had in my life. Hes so nice and understanding and is really lenient about due dates if you cant turn something in on time. I would literally take his class again in a heartbeat, and he wish he taught more courses. 100% take his class if you can.

Professor Cabral is hands down the best professor I've had during college. He explains concepts in great detail and provides unique examples to help students fully grasp the information. He is a true advocate for the students and assists ones that may be struggling or falling behind. I wish that I could have taken this course in person! 10/10!

Scott cabral is a great person and professor. His lectures are long but you get a break in the middle and a lot of the times end early. His class is very simple and easy to follow in the best of ways. If you have even the chance to take his class do it! you wont regret it. I had two people actually tell me to take his class.

This instructor is very organized with his lectures, he is very clear and to some may repeat, but to others he is reiterating the information in to be clear to all. He knows the subject and we are tested on what is lectured.

This was the best class I have taken so far at LMC. He cares about you passing and his lectures are incredible and teaches you exactly what will be on quizzes. I looked forward to attending every class!

He's a really good teacher, I wish he taught all my classes. He's very specific and the material is easy to understand. He also has practice exams which are really helpful. You can do the classwork and homework pretty much class while asking him any questions. His material is very simple and he makes you want to be an astronomer.

This class was incredibly easy, and Cabral did not really have due dates. You could turn any assignment in late and just email him and he would grade it that day. His lectures can be a bit boring, but they are very easy to follow and understand. There is a textbook but it is free and online, and we only used it a few times just for small paragraphs

Incredible professor! Lectures a lot on astronomy topics and teaches us about material we didn't know! All assignments were done on Canvas. Everything was due on a certain date. The thing I liked most about this class was looking up at the ceiling, which we observed stars, planets, and moon from ground view while the lights were turned off.

I absolutely loved his class. Professor Cabral was a great instructor and always helped when needed. His lectures are straight forward along with due dates. He was awesome!

Cabral is the homie no cap. He is a super funny guy, his humor is sprinkled like salt in a lasagna. Also, he is super chill.

I see u looking at reviews on professors lmao. Lectures are easy to understand, he is not tough on late work and you can take test/quizzes outside of class. People usually do the work out of class. If you're dumb, I'm talking SpongeBob dumb u will pass. I enjoyed the planetarium and stars but, don't fall asleep.

EASIEST AND MOST INTERESTING SCIENCE CLASS I'VE EVER TAKEN IN LIFE. Scott is kind, and the way he explains concepts using different analogies really helps me understand things. The amount of assignments is reasonable and they're easy. The 5 exams are open notes and practice tests that are 99% similar. He'll answer any questions even in the exam.

Scott is wonderful. He reminds me of a quirky little turtle, and he is so knowledgeable! His class is SUPER easy and you still do learn a lot! If you can go to his class, go even though you don't need to. He appreciates attendance and using the planetarium is a great experience. I most definitely recommend his class and him as a teacher overall :)

Very easy, will give you the answers if you don't get it! The lectures aren't mandatory since his notes/slides are all online but for me it was better to be in-person since I would forget the after class quizzes.

Professor Cabral had no due dates for his assignments or exams you just had to turn it in before grades were due. He also was very easy to get a hold of and gave a lot of chance of extra credit. Along with this his classes were not mandatory to attend but I did because they were actually interesting. All the exams were open book and notes.

professor scott is insanely caring and will go above and beyond to make sure you succeed in his class and earn an a. he offers tons of extra credit and doesn't enforce any due dates, but he expects assignments due two weeks before the semester is over. this course is very friendly if you're working while going to school!

Scott was an amazing professor. You can really tell how much he cares about his students. I took his class and I loved it! He made everything so simple. He also goes over things multiple times just to make sure all of the students get it! and he offers so much extra credit! Also is very flexible with late work.

Easiest class ever. So much opportunity for extra credit, extremely easy quizzes, homework, and tests, and very simple and clear lectures. He provides study guides for all tests and the final and pretty much gives the answers away. Take this class for credit, or to boost your GPA. I ended with a 109% and it was an accelerated class.

Scott is a great professor! He gives an insane amount of extra credit and there are no late penalties for anything. The exams are take home and open note. Scott does a great job of explaining things and will reply to emails very quickly.

He's great. He has no late work; the work is online; he gives you until the second to last week to finish work.

He's so amazing! He cares so much for his students and doesn't give much homework. He gives you the entire semester to do your homework and the tests are all open book / open notes. He helps you when you need anything and is very approachable. His grading is easy and so is the homework. He also likes to play Kahoot with the class, which is cute.

Professor Cabral is amazing. He gave out extra credits.The extra credits helped me get over 1,000 points in his class. It was enough for him to tell me I did not need to do the final exam. He gives out four tests, but he drops one of them. His students can do quizzes with each other which is nice. If you are scared to take Astronomy10, don't be.

Professor Cabral is amazing! He's super caring and makes the class incredibly easy. With no textbook, open-note exams, and tons of extra credit, this is a great class to boost your GPA. I also found unstuck ai really helpful for studying.
