He made accounting very easy. Most of the students get As on his tests. Many of them don't even come to class. He's thorough in making sure that we understand the material if we ask questions, otherwise he moves pretty quickly through the book.

Took this class online, never had to go on campus. All of her tests and quizzes were online which was fantastic.. they were pretty simple. Most of your work is sample problems from the book-- it requires alot of time and effort, but there were no in class visits

I must say I enjoyed the class and learned a great deal. I was a bit intimidated by accounting but prof carlson made it enjoyable. I will take him for the second part this fall.

Awesome class adn instructor. I missed a few classes due to illness but Mr. Carlson was very kind and available outside of the class for tutoring.

I took his on line version. I was surprised that I did as well as I did. Mr Carlson's quizzes were tough but the exams were very straight forward. The entire class was on line.

Truly an awesome profssor. The class is very structured and he gives you an ample amount of time to complete the assignments. Quizzes can be time consuming but the exams are relatively easy. Scott is a great professor and is always willing to help you out and make sure you understand the chapter. I highly reccomend him for any accounting class.

Truly an awesome profssor. I would recommend him for Acctg. 211. He pretty much sticks to his syllabus. There are no surprises. The quizzes are on BlackBoard, not timed & the questions are directly from the textbook. He gives you plenty of sample problems to work in class. This will help with the chapter assignments.

I had him for 101 & 102. He's awesome! I took 101 @ another school and got a D with no understanding of anything, but he makes accting somewhat interesting, or at least makes you feel like you can make it lol. quizzes are open book and he tells you what's going to be on the tests. Most times the tests are exactly like the hwk. last test is optional

Good class. Tests are a little hard if you don't know the content. Do your homework and you should do good.

Mr. Carlson is an incredible teacher. His assignments and open-book quizzes really help students understand the material and his test are very straight forward. Mr. Carlson was my teacher for ACC 211 and 212 and if he taught any other classes I needed for my degree I would go out of my way to take them.

He is a really great teacher. I would highly recommend him. He is straight forward about what is on the test and quizzes are all on Blackboard very easy. All of the in class problems are the exact problems on the test just with different numbers. TAKE HIM!!

This guy is great, I would highly recommend him. Took him for the second eight weeks, online. Even being accelerated the class was very managable. Very quick to grade assignments and very quick to return emails... like within a few hours. You will not regret taking this teacher

EXCELLENT professor!! He makes the information very easy to understand. He is very down to earth and understands the material is difficult to learn. LOVE HIM! His class should be an easy A for everyone. You do need to learn the material to do well. His tests will be crazy similar to the assignments and he will tell you specifically what to study for his tests.

TAKE HIS CLASS! He is a fantastic teacher, very easy to understand and his tests are VERY similar to the class assignments. He will tell you exactly what you need to study. If you practice, you will do well. I highly recommend him for any of your accounting requirements! Can't wait to take his classes again!!!

Mr. Scott is Amazing. He makes learning Accounting fun and enusres you understand it. You can passed this class if you: take the quizes, test and assignments. He doesnt test you what he has not covered in the class. Will be taking him again for ACC 222!!

I had Mr. Carlson for both accounting classes ACC 211 and ACC 212 and passed with a B+ and an A for the other. I've been suggesting him to everyone. His classes can be short at times. The tests are basically spelled out for you, basically memorize the take home assignments. Make sure to be on top of the assignments, he doesn't take late work.

Take Carlson! Very fair and makes accounting easy to understand. He also allows you to use the previous edition of the text. I saved over $200 by ordering the older version of the required text on Amazon.

Mr. Carlson is the best! Highly recommend taking his class! The guy is funny, very involved with his students, and is always ready to help with any questions you have may have. The class, in itself, is not that easy but if you pay attention and read your book you should manage fine.

Received an email from Prof Carlson prior to start of semester saying that I can use prior edition of textbook. Google that and am going to save $150 on text!

Very easy class, I took him for both Account 211 and 212. He explains everything really well and the tests are easy and usually gives a few extra credit questions. For every chapter there is an assignment and a quiz. Don't miss any cause they will affect your grade. Grades fair and quick. Super nice, I tell everyone to take his class. He's great!

Expectations were clear: 1 assignment and 1 quiz per week. Appreciated the class example worksheets. Take notes and learn the t-accounts and memorize anything he suggests you memorize! Was helpful to read the chapter before class, but not necessary. Allowed 3x5 one-sided notecard for exams. Starts and ends class on time. Would take again.

Professor Carlson is such a great accounting teacher. If you pay attention in class then the homework and tests will not be a struggle for you. You really do not need the book because his lectures and videos are exactly what you need to know for the tests. I brought it the 1st few days & realized that I didn't need it. I have not used it since.

Mr. Carlson is an Amazing professor!! Accounting is not an easy subject. I have taken both ACC 211 & 212 with him using the same book (older edition one), and if you come to class, do the weekly assignments and quizzes, the test will be a breeze. He also gives the option of an optional exam!! I recommend him to anyone who dread accounting.

Mr. Carlson is a good teacher and he is always there to help. Accounting is just a hard class but he will be able to help you make it out of the class if you pay attention and put your best foot forward.

TOok Prof Carlson for Acc 211 online. Was a bit nervous about it since I prefer live classes. He provides great notes, links to slides and lots of extra credit. I recommend him for accounting.

Professor Carlson is the man! I highly recommend having him as your professor. He's knowledgeable in what he teaches and teaches everything with clarity. I've had some not-so-good professors before, but this guy isn't one of them. He's great! You shouldn't struggle in his class if you're serious about learning and willing to put forth the effort.

I really enjoyed Prof Carlson's online class. I wasa allowed to use older version of text and he had links to some great videos that helped me with some of the more difficult chapters. Course is fairly fast. Don't fall behind and he is tough on deadlines for quizzes and assignments.

I took Prof. Carlson for ACC 211 and 212. He is an awesome teacher and makes things easy to understand. He does have the tendency to talk fast and at times he assumes we know things, but if you don't understand and ask him to explain he will. He is very clear with grading and will post the answers for you to see your mistakes.

Took Prof Carlson for ACC 211. He gives plenty of extra credit and opportunities to get a good grade. The quizzes you can take multiple times and you get 2 attempts at each test. Basically if you work hard you will get an A.

Mr. Carlson is awesome. He is passionate about accounting and cares about his students. There were only 2 quizzes for each chapter (you can take twice) and an assignment for every chapter. I took 8 week course which moved very quickly so I did have to work on my work every day. He gives extra credit. I didn't do it but ended his class with a 98.

Professor Carlson is a great professor. He gives good feedback to assignments. I took the 8 week course with him and it went well. You will have 2 quizzes for each chapter and 1 assignment for each chapter to complete. You can take the quizzes twice. Overall I had no issues with the course. I would recommend him.

Mr. C allowed us to use an older edition of the textbook which saved me over $200 compared to the bookstore options. Lots of HW but manageable.

Just finished first 8 week online class with Mr. Carson. I recommend him and am going to take the second 8 week class too. I hope to receive another B. I was able to increase my grade with extra credit assignments.

Great online class. Quizzes and assignments were online. No class required. Mr C is strict about deadlines. Stay ahead and take advang of the extra credit problems. I received an A as a business major at TCC.

Going to take Prof Carlson again this spring or summer. Do the work and you will do find in his accounting class.

I have completed ACC 211 and 212 with Mr C. I enjoyed both of his classes. He is very straight forward. Respond to the online quizzes and assignments and you will do well. Both are available well in advance of deadline and you are allowed multiple attempts.

HI there. I happy I enrolled in Professor Carson's online 211 class. Other students have told me that accounting is one of the more difficult classes. I agree. Prof Carson's course is well structured as all of the quizzes and assignments are available from day one This is not true for exams. I took adv of this. Great prof!

Easy if you respond to stuff on time. Prof Carlson's quizzes and assignments are avail in advance from day one. Exams are not Not too difficult if you do the work! he is strict on deadlines.

Professor Carlson was one of the best professors I have had in the last two years. He is quick to reply to emails, he is engaging, and very helpful whenever I had questions. This class was an 8-week class, I did very well in the class, however, there was a lot of work. If I were to take it over I would take the full 16 weeks. Highly recommended.

I took this as an 8 week class and it's a lot of homework. If you can't handle that, take a regular or 12 week. If you want a good grade, you must apply yourself and study. Mr. Carlson's lectures are not too long so they don't bore you but he responds to emails very quick. If this is your 1st time with accounting, you have to study and work.

he is a solid choice, but he doesn't super engage the class. there is a lot of reading, and on the tests, there are some questions that you didn't read about, maybe vaguely how to do them. but okish teacher. I do like his summery sides.

Very good professor with excellent structure for an online course. He is readily available, has scheduled office hours to assist with concerns, has clear grading guidelines, and sticks to his syllabus. I LOVED that he did his own video lectures in a world of narrated textbook power point presentations. I'll be taking him again next semester!

He is the most organized teacher that I'd ever had. He had the entire semester laid out so you knew exactly what was expected. All of his quizzes, tests, and exams were open book. The program that was used was helpful and easy to navigate. Really enjoyed this class and professor.

Mr S is one of my favorite professors at TCC. He has lots of resources available on Canvas including lecture videos of himself and another professor. He also had virtual office hours twice a week and by appointment. My final grade was based on quizzes, assignments and exams. Keep up with the material and ask for help if you need it!

One of the best professors I have had at TCC.

He does a good job at breaking down each thing. Very helpful, just wants everyone to succeed. My only problem was he was a bit stern with giving extensions on schoolwork due to emergencies. The content can get hard but there are a few options to help with that as well as Prof Carlson is always there to help.

Professor Carlson was so knowledgeable on all things ACC 211. I took course as a 7-week accelerated course & it did not feel as fast because he is such a great teacher. Attendance is mandatory and late policy is very strict; however, he takes off the lowest test scores at the end. I love how he has in class written problems during the lectures.

I took two classes with him, one entirely online and the other in-person. Both were of similar quality. The workload was not too heavy and he is very understanding of why people are hesitant to take accounting. He is easy to reach. The deadlines are hard, so be sure to meet them, but otherwise, you won't find much difficulty in the class.

Basically taught myself the entire semester. His lectures are confusing and quick.

One of the best professors I have ever had, clearly knows what he's talking about, and genuinely cares about the success of his students. Accounting is by far the hardest subject I have ever had to study but he was very patient when I asked questions in class and made sure I understood before he continued with the lecture. 10/10.

Professor Carlson is awesome.This is the second of the two online accounting courses that I took with him. He is caring, highly communicative, organized, knowledgeable, clear to understand, resourceful and essentially goes out of his way to ensure that you succeed. There is a lot of reading involved but PLENTY of practice resources.
