If science is not your favorite subject then take Dr Cowell for your Chenistry class. He will make you understand it and eventually love it. Great personality, always available to help with material, interesting lectures.

Great professor. Trys to have fun with the class and succeeds 9+ times out of 10. If you want to learn and have fun, try this class out.

He really knows his stuff, I can pass his tests on lectures alone. He explains the material better than the book! Ask him about organic chemistry and short skirts.

Dr. Cowell's first lecture included how to RELAX with chem. He has worked around my schedule plus stayed late in class to help me feel comfortable with the material. He is fun and brilliant without being patronizing. Simplifies everything...I almost like chem!

Dr. Cowell is high energy, funny and a great teacher. His lectures explain everything! Chemistry is still not easy, but he makes it enjoyable and easier to understand. Homework is extra credit and he gives great study sheets for the exams. Best professor I have ever had!!

Fantastic teacher! He made the subjects interesting so you retained the information. Its Chemistry so you need to put in the time to study and ask questions when your confused, if you do this you'll get a good grade. Make sure you bring good snacks to class for him. Wont regret taking his class.

Dr. Cowell is a baller. His class is easy and fun to attend. He makes you want to come to class because of his high energy. Try and crack him to tell you that he infact doesn't live in a tent, we were able to do it! Just do your homework and you'll be fine. I would highly reccomend his class to anyone interested or even not interested in chemistry.

Dr. Cowell is the coolest cat on the PCC campus. I had absolutely NO interest in chemistry prior to his class and now it is what I want to do with my life. He is a brilliant teacher but also hilarious and GREAT SMILE and his lectures will stick and make you love chemistry. He is a genius! Take his class!

Dr. Cowell manages to fulfill two seemingly irreconcilable roles: he is an amazing professor from whom we learn a lot, but also a really cool guy with whom we would all want to hang out with and be friends with. Hilarious and charming, he is a brilliant dude who knows a lot about subjects beyond chemistry--I can't recommend Dr. Cowell enough.

I've been at Pima for 3 years. I took Dr. Cowell's class last semester. He is the best professor I have ever had. PCC is lucky to have him. If you want to find someone to make you want to be smart and science-bound, take his class. A warning to all my ladies...he is a charmer and you will develop a giant crush on him like I did.

even though i don't get chemistry and i took like 4 chem classes in my life, dr. cowell finally made it make sense. everything fits together now! gonna take him again next spring or whenever i can get into one of his full classes.

Dr. Cowell is an awesome teacher. I was a bit skeptic about what to expect but it was super easy to understand the material and he's so helpful. He "dumbs" it down enough for you to really understand. He stays after class to answer any questions. He makes the class fun and doesn't give you useless material to read. Its straight and to the point.

Dr. Cowell is a great professor! The exams are difficult. They cover the material to a deeper level than the textbook - it encourages thinking beyond the books (although that may be frustrating sometimes). Overall, highly recommended.

He was super helpful. I was pregnant when I took the class and he was helpful during labs that may have had toxic chemical vapors. I never had a teacher show he cared that much. If you are willing to study and show up. this class is amazing. He makes it understandable. I recommend it.

The lectures are interesting, and he keeps your attention. He is helpful and willing to stay after class. The labs weren't great because he simplified things a lot, but left the students in the dark. He is not a stickler on anything. Easy A if you put in a small amount of effort. Presents material in a good way, but glosses over a lot of material.

I have had Dr. Cowell for two semesters and I learn well from him. He knows his material and is a joy to be around. And read the textbook&do the homework. It is Chemistry after all.

He is an OCHM master. This class was even better than his general CHM classes. Always willing to answer questions and he truly wants all of his students to learn OCHM. This was my easiest class this semester, despite the reputation of CHM235. If you want to learn, this is the instructor for you.

Dr. Cowell is hilarious and fun and knows a lot about chemistry and I would suggest taking him for an in-person course. I would not, however, recommend him for either an online or half online/half in-person course. Tests were hard, and there's homework every week but labs are lots of fun.

After taking chemistry and failing at the U of A I decided to take it at Pima and took Dr. Cowell for CHM 151 and I have to admit he is one of the best professors you can take. I was not a fan of chemistry but he made the topics interesting and sometimes a lot easier. I ended up taking him until second semester organic chemistry with zero regrets!

Great teacher he really enjoys teaching the subject. Pretty easy class overall, just beware of the tests he breezes through some of the material and tests pretty heavy on it so make sure to read the book. Homework is incredibly easy he uses it for extra points, so there's no reason someone should fail

Best Chemistry professor I've ever had! He makes chemistry make sense. Total of six exams but he will tell you exactly what is on each exam, each exam only covers one to two chapters. Highly recommend if you struggle in chemistry, like me.

Real chill and laid back teacher. Spends alot of lecture time going off on random tangents and can breeze through the powerpoint rather quickly, but everything is posted online. Read the lecture, do the homework, ask questions and it's an easy A.

Still requires a lot of work to do well. He will always do his best to help you, as well as make you laugh. Don't be late, and ask questions. Textbook is optional. Very exam heavy grading.

He takes the time for class to understand. Sad to see this is his last semester at Pima. YOU WILL LAUGH IN THIS CLASS. Don't take him if you cant take a joke.

this class was EXTREMELY easy. Dr. Cowell was very unorganized though and there were alot of things that needed to be fixed during the time of this class. The tests are so straight forward, and even though I have never actually met him in person he seems like a great guy. Probably the nicest professor I have had so far.

Dr, Cowell is without a doubt the best teacher I've had at Pima so far. He curates a great playlist of videos to go with each module and writes a module lecture for each section. If you study these and do the homework (sapling and LNL) then you will be able to pass the tests. Dr. Cowell also makes himself available in person if needed. Highly recc

Dr. Cowell is an amazing teacher. I took his online chemistry class, and it was a breeze. He is very clear on what he wants you to lean and review for the tests and he will go into explicit detail when you do not understand something. If you do and understand the homework and the labs, the tests are super easy.
