Phenomenal teacher! I took 202 my first semester as a freshman and not only did he teach the class, he really helped my adjust to college life....group projects are awesome!

scott is great. i had him for group dynamics and i loved it. the only draw back is that he repeats the same story over and over.

For first year students, it's v. good cause you get to meet people. If you need to take can choose to take public speaking or group dynamics choose group dynamics with scott.

Scott is an awsome and laid back teacher. Although his class is relatively easy, I did end up learning a lot. I highly recommend him, and com 202 is a really fun class.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this prof. and class. I wish I could have kept this class all 4 years, it definately will bring you out of your shell. I recommend it highly.The cool thing about him is I took this freshman year and he still remembers my name. How Cool!

Very easy/nice teacher. However, in the end, my grade was unfair because he teaching assistant marked me absent a few times when I was not and it greatly affected my grade. Be sure to attend and you're guaranteed an A.

The easiest class that I have taken at OU, there only is one test the entire semester and that is to know everyones name in the class. He counts attendance and if your late you have to tell the class your most embarassing moment.

What a Great Professor! This will definately be one of the most enjoyable and memorable classes I will ever have.

Has to be one of the BEST professors at Oakland. But you have to be on time to class, because if you dont he make's you tell embarassing stories about yourself :-) which are funny. One test the entire time and no final.

BEST PROF EVER!!! This is the only class i ever looked forward to going too!!! If you cant pass this class there is no hope for you. This was my fave class and by far fave prof. I dont think i will ever find a better one. You also meet lots of people.

I loved having this class i wish i could take it again. Scott is so nice and easy going the class isnt hard at all he makes it alot of fun we have happy circles when we discuss a topic which makes it really easy. Just as long as u come and particpate u'll do well nothing less than a B in his class

Scott is the ideal professor.the one you wish all others could be like.everyone in the class gets to know each other and interacts.He is very laid back and there is only one test the name quiz, tough you do about 16 short one page papers.I would Strongly Recommend him To take before you graduate

Just because he's easy and you get good grades doesn't mean anything. He's extremely one sided and pulls grades out of a hat. He drove me nuts and i'm happy i never have to take a communications class again. He should be teaching kindergarten at an elementary school, not at oakland.

Scott is the best professor at the University. A good man, a funny man, who is very personable. My grade however wasn't as high as I felt I deserved. But you couldn't ask for a better professor! Any class of his is highly suggested.

Scott was cool, final paper was unclear. He doesn't give grades on assignments, just check marks. His grading isn't the best though. I got a 2.9, even though I had all check marks on my assignments. I should have had a 4.0

Scott is an incredible professor that will inspire you beyond just his class(es). I graduated a year ago and some of his teachings and advice still stick with me. His class may seem easy but your grade won't be what you expect unless you really do try and even think outside the box. He's a smart man and can tell if you're BS-ing. He's the best!

Scott Crabill is the man. I took his class as a guest student from Albion College. If you dont show up to class, he will make you talk in front of the class, which is pretty cool. I always made sure to show up on time. He is a smart man. He makes class fun and exciting. His grades will reflect your effort but most people will do well.

The most fun I have ever had in a class. He is a great teacher and makes it interesting by relating the topics to your every day life. Scott is very funny and makes you look forward to coming.

Scott is a great professor. When you are in class you dont feel like he's your professor. He's cool with everyone and respect everyones opinion. He's a very smart man. His class is easy but dont expect to get 4.0 without doing anywork. He'll keep a note of who does the work and who doesn't. So dont think you can fool him.

This is by far the best professor i have had at the college level. I had a huge fear of public speaking coming into this class and once my class was over everything had changed. He really gets to know you and helps you along in the course.

scott is the best teacher @ ou by far. he actually gets time to kno his students and forces his students to get to kno each other which really helps i used to be so scared to talk in front of the class but u still have 2 do group work butthe grade it all you and i wish he taught more classes take him you wont regret it

Scott is the coolest teacher I know and will always be my favorite. He keeps the class entertained and interesting. I loved going to his class because I knew it was going to be funny. You don't get a lot of homework and he doesn't give a final.

Probably the only 8 o'clock I will ever look FORWARD to going to. Don't miss the class, you'll get a good grade, either way you will enjoy it, although I didn't learn a great deal of relevant info, Scott's a great guy.

He is funny and keeps class very interesting and the projects you have to do are fun and get the whole class involved. I am a quite and shy person and this class is my absolute favorite.

this was the class i looked forward going to every day! hes hilarous and you dont use the textbook much, you will learn hands on and ive never gotten so much from a course

I would definitely take this professor again. Great attitude, the writing assignments actually make you think, and you will learn a lot about yourself that you didn't realize at first. My only complaint is he seemed to try to push his liberal views on us during in class discussion. He never brought both sides to the argument, only his side

Scott is truly one of my favorite teachers at OU. He is super funny, understanding, and overall a great guy! I would take public speaking all over again if I could. i enjoyed going to class every week just to hear his jokes. Take him!!!

honestly the best professor i had, this is the first class i haven't skipped because i genuinely liked this class. He in very inspirational and cares about not only your grade but you yourself. Very funny and laid back guy.

For such an intensive course, Scott really makes it enjoyable. He gives you ample opportunities to improve and even hosts a dinner party for final presentations! Im sad to only have had him my senior year!

Scott is my favorite professor I've ever had at OU. He is extremely knowledgable in his field, caring, understanding, and makes class interesting and different every day. In COM 2403 we had ONE written test - a Name quiz. It is very evident that he cares about his students, and as long as you show up and be yourself, you will pass. TAKE HIS CLASS!

Your whole grade is practically based on your group projects. If you don't go above and beyond you are not getting an A since that is his philosophy. Great lectures and class discussions though. Weekly journals help you write about yourself and you will probably end class with some friends or at least ask for help in other classes.

You only need the book for this class to read one chapter. You're better off sharing it with someone instead of buying the whole thing. Crabill is very chill and funny, he doesn't expect too much work from you. He does individual grades for group projects, but grade your member truthfully or he will dock YOU points. It was a very fun class.

Professor Crabill is an excellent instructor. His Group Dynamics class is one of the easiest, but most informative I've had at OU. ZERO exams, and three projects with homework almost every week. Textbook use is limited to the first project, and the rest is spent learning about COM through experience. Truly an inspiring person and I highly recommend

No joke the best professor at OU! It didn't even feel like I was going to class thats how much I enjoyed it. Gives amazing feedback & makes everyone feel super comfortable since it is a pub speaking class. He is a tough grader so you will actually need to put in work to get an A but he makes it worth it. Really funny stories and amazing prof! 10/10

He is a very down-to-earth teacher who will help you improve on your public speaking. Most of the class is speeches but he is there to help you through your speeches if you need help. Had a lot of fun and not a lot of homework!!!

Scott is my favorite professor at OU! Was extremely understanding when I went through personal problems and was very accommodating. You have to attend class, participation is key in this class. Doesn't give a lot of homework but does expect you to show up. Super friendly, funny, and caring guy. I've taken him 3 times, would recommend!

Show up to class and SPEAK! It is a lot easier if you engage and go with the flow. Crabill is a gem and has lots of great insights (& is very understanding!) Last project was really cool. Only need the book for 1st project but you can use someone else's in your group. Be creative, engaged, and open and you'll do great.

Professor Crabill is amazing. Not only a great professor but a great person. I genuinely looked forward to coming to class. He cares about his students and wants you to succeed. Make sure you come to class and participate. You will grow as a person and meet some cool people. Definitely recommend Crabill for any COM class!

Big Scott is a great guy, he grades tough but he wants you to understand what you're doing. His class was always fun and engaging even at 8am. I would definitely recommend Mr. Crabill and would 100% take again!

The class is pretty straightforward and consists of writing journals and then a discussion takes place on what everyone wrote. To get an A you need to write about 2 pages of quality work and participate once or twice each period. There are 3 big group projects and he is a somewhat tough grader so be ready for that. Attendance is mandatory.

The best class Ive taken at Oakland University. You have to be willing to share stories and talk/communicate with your peers daily. Scott is the best prof you will have! I highly recommend taking this class and Scott.

Bit of a harsh grader. An assignment each week that is roughly two pages long. Must show up and participate in class but you get used to it. He is very friendly and makes you feel welcomed. 3 group projects that count toward the majority of your grade.

Prof Crabill was extremely welcoming, open-minded, and inspiring. COM2403 was extremely unconventional and the class experience depends a lot on the students. It's a group work class, but students are graded individually. lots of speaking about personal experiences with the whole group, the class was so fun and chill yet educational and important

Dr. Crabill is one of THE BEST Professors at OU! I took his class for Communication in groups back in 1998. I highly recommend ANY class he teaches to every com student. Dr. C is definitely the blueprint for what a GREAT Professor is. He respects his students & his Profession. Learned a lot from this wonderful human being!
