STAT 302 taken over the summer. Very good teacher, helpful, and pretty funny. You get what you put in, keep up with the material, get in a study group, and you will do very well. 5 A's out of the 6 people in my study group. Tests are worded tricky, but they kind of have to be or else it would be too easy. Overall good experience, recommended.

He is an excellent prof. He occasionally sings to the class, and you can tell he really loves what he's teaching. He is always available and helpful. He's great, and highly recommended!

Loved Scott Crawford! He's animated and makes the material as entertaining and relevant as possible. I thoroughly enjoyed coming to class. Not to say course work is super easy it will challenge you to think but he is very helpful and wants you to understand the material. Take notes in class and do the work and you should do well.

Scott Crawford is hilarious. His lectures are enjoyable to attend or watch on YouTube. He gets the point across and teaches you what you need to know for the exams. The homework each week is all relevant to the exams. Highly, highly recommend.

Prof Crawford is great! Funny/informative with responses to questions and sings before class starts which is pretty fun. Asking him a question always gives a straight answer. Class structure not bad at all. The only troubling part is having a lot of homework, but it's made up for by having exams with lots of partial credit and one freebie question.

There is not a better prof for 211. His lectures are extremely helpful since he goes over very similar problems that show up on the homework and tests. The practice exams are very helpful to study. Show up to class and do the practice exams and you should get an A. He is extremely helpful after class and in office hours if you have any questions.

Dr. Crawford is the best. Definitely take him if you can. The class is entertaining, you learn a lot, and it's a reasonable amount of work. It is incredibly easy to get an A if you put in the work and do what is expected of you (which is always very reasonable). I couldn't recommend a better prof. I took him for STAT 211, and I am lucky I did. There is weekly homework that follows the previous week's lecture. The tests are a breeze if you do the three practice exams. He makes 4 exams and chooses 3 of them as practice, so the material on them is very similar, if you do the homework and practice exams at least once you are guaranteed an A

He is a very fun professor to take. He sings statistic parodies in class and will go through any problem on the homework that you ask about. Very easy to get along with and talk to, and really cares about his students.

Dr. Crawford is so engaging, and the most fun professor I've ever had. There is weekly hw which can be time-consuming, however, Dr. Crawford takes the beginning of every class to help you out on tough hw problems. He also provides about 3-4 practice tests before every exam which is very helpful. 10/10 recommend, the BEST choice for STAT 211!

Definitely one the best professors I've had. STAT 211 wasn't an easy class but he made it much easier to understand. First day of class I show up thinking im late, walk in and he's on the table singing and dancing to a parody of a song he made for stats. 10/10 would recommend

This class was one of the few classes that I looked forward to going to. HW heavy, but answers all questions about it. Take this prof I promise you won't regret it.

If you're going to take STAT 211, Professor Crawford is your guy! He makes the material seem like a cakewalk, and his enthusiasm and in-class performances are hilarious. The weekly homework is very manageable and if you have any questions about it, he will happily help you out. Overall a really rad prof!

Absolute BEST prof I had, never taken stats but he explained very well and I learned a lot. Definitely not a blow off class though but you will enjoy his lectures. He also has extra videos available. I think Professor Crawford is the best choice if you are looking to take STAT 211. His tests aren't that hard if you do the practice exams that he puts up before the exams. Plus he is unbelievably funny and makes lectures fun and interesting. Definitely take him if you get the chance.

Professor Crawford has to be the best professor I have ever had! Whenever I had difficulty with my homework, I would ask him about it during his office hours or in class and he would help me understand it. There are several questions on his homework but what he covers in lecture covers what you need. If you have to take STAT 211, take it with him!

Prof. Crawford is superb- he knows the content well, knows how to teach it well, and is hilarious and engaging. He clearly cares about his students and goes to great lengths to give them good resources to learn. At the same time, his class isn't difficult. Wish all my professors were like him! Scott Crawford is by far the best STAT 211 professor at A&M, his lectures are very entertaining and he makes a very big effort to make a connection with all of his students. His online resources for the class are the amazing and he gives many practice exams prior to the exam, which make the exams very easy.

I didn't really go to lecture that often, but I recommend it. Easily my favorite professor, makes statistics enjoyable, which is an accomplishment in and of itself. You just don't find professors with passion like him. Easy A IMO, HW is not easy but not difficult, for tests, just do all the reviews and you'll get an A. Didn't take AP stats, got 99.

If you're currently registering for classes and looking at a bunch of RMP posts about STAT211 instructors, stop what you're doing and go take Professor Crawford. No spots left? Submit a force request to the Statistics department. Take Crawford by all means necessary. P.S. If you took AP Stats in HS, this class will be even more of a breeze.

THIS MAN IS A GEM. He truly cares about getting to know his students and engaging the class with the material. He makes complicated topics SO easy to understand and digest. Pay attention, do the homework, and it's hard not to get an A in his class. I genuinely looked forward to his lectures! All of my other friends in 211 were miserable. TAKE HIM!!

Stat 211 was a great class! Prof. Crawford made every class a joy to attend. Attendance isn't mandatory but I highly recommend it. I looked forward to going to class as much as I could. The exams aren't easy, but he doesn't throw crazy curveballs at you.

If you are taking STAT 211, take Dr. Crawford. He is hilarious and an extremely good teacher. His lectures are never dull and he prepares you for the homework and exams very well.

Crawford is fantastic he is so nice and funny and he has short lectures posted for extra help. He offers zoom during the lectures and actually keeps up with it. There are 3 exams that are weighted kind of heavy bc there are not too many questions. He wants to know your name and loves to answer questions. He is a great prof 15/10! Take him!!!

Great guy and Professor. Not a hard class as long as you do the homework's which can take along time and do the exam reviews. Really liked his personality and his YouTube videos were great (especially the intros) resources when doing the homework.

One of my fav profs so far. He is super nice and jokes in class. He records his lectures, works out problems on the hw in class. His hw problems are good practice and will take a long time to do towards the end of the course. Do practice tests. Ask questions in class. Great class!!

Weekly homework, no quiz. You don't have to go toclads since lectures are on zoom AND recorded AND he has pre recorded videos over all the topics. Very nice and easy to reach prof. Easy class just watch the videos and start the homework before it's due. Homework is easy just a little long. Must participate in an online group discussion.

Wow he might be the best prof Ive ever had! Super nice, funny, and caring. His lectures on YouTube are so simple and easy to understand. He has a clear layout and doesnt do overly complex problems. Again, he is the most caring prof ever and even wants to learn his students names. Waiting for a spot for his class is worth it.

Lots of online resources to help out when you're doing the homework/studying for the exam. Past exams will cover everything on an upcoming exam (do all of them!) and his YouTube videos are goated. Super caring prof. Please do yourself a favor and take him.

Crawford is the best! I honestly did not go to class much but this class is so easy and he puts so much work into helping students understand it. It is so hard to do bad in this class, and there is a very clearly set up grading scheme and tons of notes online that explain everything. Seriously my favorite teacher definitely take him!

Outside of perhaps Todd Schrader, he was perhaps the best professor I've had so far. He has super funny lectures which help the students learn and are super engaging. The thing that makes Crawford different is his care for his students. Definetly would take him again for being such a caring and engaging professor.

Dr. Crawford is one of the best professors! I especially enjoyed how he was able to incorporate fun into the classroom. Some of my favorite days were when we started with a statistics themed song and then had back-and-forth sarcasm throughout the class as we learned new topics. Beware the difference between matched pairs and two-sample t-tests!

Do whatever you have to to get into his sections! Amazing professor, he is caring, funny, and has great lectures, even if you watch live on zoom. He explains concepts in a very straightforward manner and works out the hard HW problems at the beginning of each class. Tests are very fair and do partial credit. More than 80% of students got A's!

Dr. Crawford ROCKS. You can always tell when a prof genuinely cares about the material/class. He knew all of our names by the third week (sooner if you came to and participated in lectures regularly) and will answer just about any question asked during class. Lectures are engaging with his songs and examples, and notes are posted for extra help.

Awesome teacher! Attendance is not mandatory and he holds zoom classes while in person lecture and interacts with both and only assigns one homework a week and able to ask him to solve them in class(5 trys per part of question) and everything he says makes sense. 10/10 teacher wish I could have him for my other stats classes.

I have never taken statistics before in my life, but Dr. Crawford made the topic so easy to grasp that I didn't go to a single class after the first exam and was still able to do very well in the course. He posts notes and prerecorded videos over topics that are very easy to understand. The homework is a great tool to practice and get feedback!

Lectures were recorded but his infectious personality and great teaching style made me want to come to class every single day. He sings statistics songs and has fun with the class. The HW and tests aren't that bad and he makes an effort to make the content more understandable. All his lectures were also on zoom and he posted the recordings afterward, so attending class is very optional, but since his lectures are so good I would recommend going often.

scott is great. his tests are pretty chill and he lets you bring in notes sheets. homeworks can be time consuming. he has youtube videos on how to do the stuff and class is not mandatory. he has zooms for every class too.

Not a single bad thing to say about Professor Crawford. His class was the most high school-oriented class I've taken in college in the best way possible. He was very engaging and sang every Monday and sometimes with his guitar. He really made sure everyone understood and felt included in class.

We had 13 weekly assignments on free WebAssign with 5 tries each. There were two midterms, which mirrored the practice exams. Attendance is optional and there are recorded lectures. He blends humor with learning with his singing and light-hearted jokes. Excellent and easy professor for 211 and a great class option if you want to honors contract.

Dr.Crawford is one of the best professors i've ever had at TAMU. You can tell he cares for his students by his lecture style and he's always open to answering any questions at any time. Homework is worth a good portion of your grade, which is a free 100 if you do it on time. Great prof for stats!!

Very caring and funny professor who's always trying to make his student's day. His lectures are easy to follow, prepare you well for the assignments, and are very engaging. Homework and exams are relatively easy in difficulty.

Practice exams are similar to real exams. Probably the most engaging lecturer I've had, and very willing to help and teaches super well.

Genuinely such an excellent professor. Just show up to class and engage with the lesson. If you do the homeworks and understand them, you will be fine.

Fantastic professor. He truly brightened my day everytime I walked into the classroom. Class was extremely manageable, and lectures are crystal clear. Learned everyone's names. He really cared about students succeeding and getting to know them. One of the only profs (along with Dr Tatiana from PHYS) who I'll really miss seeing every week.

All lectures are recorded and available on zoom, and all slides and extra videos are posted on every topic. Incredibly accessible class. Content is easy, so you will do fine.

The goat. I think I stopped attending lectures after the first week, but he posted his recordings on zoom and had a zoom meeting for those that couldnt attend in person. His practice tests were basically the exams but with different numbers and was a great lecturer, making it easy for me to cram months worth of material the night before the exam.

STAT 211 with Scott Crawford is my favorite class I've taken at A&M by far. It felt like a high school class in all the right ways. Prof. Crawford is absolutely amazing. I took his online class and joined the Zoom class lecture. Every now and then, he would sing to make the class fun. Even while being online, it was always engaging, since he would include the students and ask questions. Furthermore, he made the course really easy to learn by showing us patterns between units.

Without him, my first semester after transferring from community college would have been miserable. He has all the traits that make STAT 211 a class I won't miss: singing and simplifying concepts and methods, homework that wasn't insanely hard, and test questions that 100% encapsulate the homework and his reviews. Take him, easiest A so far in A&M.

It's always a joyful morning when I get to attend Dr. Crawford's lectures. He often sings for us songs that he made relating to Stats topics; probably the best of the 211 profs. Exams are common. Before each exam, he gives a practice exam and TWO past exams that are very similar to the exam. Make sure you do those and an A is very doable.

The absolute best professor for Stat 211. If you have the opportunity to take Prof. Crawford for this class take it and enjoy it. He makes Statistics easy to understand and makes you actually want to come to his class with his singing and class demonstrations!

Easiest 5 I've ever given, Crawford's lectures were hilarious and clearly communicated the content in an easily digestible way among a sea of profs that left their students lost. You can really tell from his lectures how passionate he is about statistics and that he cares about his students learning the content and doing well, try to take him!
