Hardest class I have ever taken but the class and instructor were excellent. Lectures and labs were extremly well organized and Dr. Croes explains things very well. Exams are difficult (essay, fill-ins, etc.,) but if you do the study guides and study for hours each day with no personal life then you will do OK.

What an awesome instructor. I took physiology and Anatomy from Dr. Croes and for 2 hard classes, he made it fun all the way through. He is a very motivating person and passionate about what he teaches. You have to study hard but it is worth it for a bug pop and a sticker for an A!

Hard class. Dr. Croes explains the concepts well and is very organized but is over the top on the amount of information that he requires you to know. I am taking the class to become a dental hygienist not a doctor. Exams are intense taking up to 2 hours to complete with lots of essays. Too much information for an introduction physiology class!

Although the workload was a little overwhelming, Dr. Croes made the class so interesting and was so fun that this quickly became my favorite class. You have to show up and study but it's well worth it. Bio 5 was useful information about the human body, information everyone can use in everyday life. Highly reccomended!

Dr. Croes' classes are demanding but the subjects he teaches are also very demanding. He is extremely fair in everything he does. He is incredibly encouraging and passionate about both the subject matter and his students. I wish I could have him for every course. He goes out of his way to assit you in learning. Gotta love him!

Dr.Croes is a very good instuctor and will help you. However, be prepared for no life. Homework 24/7 and a term paper on top of all the extra work you have to do. The class is taught like you are a med student. Lab tests are ridiculously hard. Prepare to live your life in the lab, studying, or in class. Family and job will suffer. Good luck.

Dr. Croes is a QUALITY instructor. It doesn't make the class easy, but the quality of education is superb. He hates hearing whining.so don't. He has heard all the stories. Very approachable, and EXPECTS u 2 office hours if u are struggling with the material. He will take the time to work with u. Help is available in the lab/study area if u need it.

he is extremely clear. provides the notes for you. as long as you show to every lecture, pay attention,and study a little every night you will do fine in this class! he has a lot of quizzes but its only so you don't get behind. if u study the information it is not hard to grasp. he is hilarious, passionate and always available to help you.very nice

Friendly professor with lots of great dating advice. Six tests with lowest score dropped. 5 pt. quizzes at least once a week - they add up. Sometimes calls on random people during lecture for questions/ to volunteer for something - sit directly in the middle if you want to avoid that. Don't bother buying the textbook - never used it. Good luck.

I had accommodations and they were for test taking in another room, he wouldn't let me use them. Other than that he was pretty good.

This instructor is the best teacher I've ever had. Class is well organized and you can tell that he wants you to understand the material. Dont take with a heavy load. Lots of quizzes and the exams. Lots of essay questions as well.

He is an amazing teacher that is very clear and fair. But if you don't come to his lecture You Will Fail. the book isn't needed, he has lecture note outlines!!!!! With anatomy you need to go to the open labs to even get a B. but he is willing to help you with anything, and he explains things very clearly. DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK HIM QUESTIONS.

I've had Dr. Croes for three different classes, and all of them were extremely fun! (If you can call Anatomy and Physiology fun) He makes the lectures fun with personal stories to help you remember the material, and also, can't forget his hilarious dating advice! Dr. Croes is an amazing instructor but can be a little too demanding. There is an overwhelming amount of information and at times I felt I needed a medical degree to keep up. There were 1 to 2 quizzes per week and the exams were tough with essays. Seemed excessive and to survive you need to study all the time. He is always available to help though.

Dr. Croes is a rock star among professors. He is enthusiastic about the subject matter, really cares about student success and is clear cut in his instructions. Lectures move quickly and a lot of material is covered. The homework is time consuming but prepares you for tests which are multiple choice. I learned a lot. Totally worth it.

Great teacher. Made the class very interesting and put up with the slow students fairly well without wasting others time. Gives you handouts of notes and study guides to prepare you for the test. I enjoyed his class so much I passed up on working a few extra days at work ($250 a day) because I didn't want to miss his lecture.

Dr. Croes is the best science teacher I've ever had and the best lecturer ever (experiments and magic tricks included). That being said, Physiology is a REALLY difficult class, and you will need to study your butt off to pass this class, but Croes gives you all the tools you need to be successful. Expect a quiz or test every single class.

Dr. Croes is one of the best Profs. both in subject area knowledge and ability to teach. Returning student with BA and found his course to be extremely challenging. Tough exams with essay portions that were geared more as upper division level difficulty - beyond scope of intro phys class. Be prepared to put in the time to do well but worth it.

Dr. Croes is truly phenomenal. I dont know if Ive ever encountered such a hardworking, caring teacher. That said, this class is HARD. Be prepared for SO. MUCH. WORK. (I did 30 hours per week.) Stay organized and committed, study everyday, give yourself lots of time, and you will get an A. You can do it!

I may not have gotten the grade I wanted however I can say he truly was my favorite professor. There is a lot of information so be prepared to study study study! He always made lecture fun, and interesting. I would definitely take him again.

This man was born to teach. He has demos most days that connect the dots on the information that is being covered. Don't ever miss a lecture and if there's one thing I can recommend it is to go to every single review session that he puts on. He will go over many of the questions that will be asked on quizzes and you are usually quizzed right after.

I took his online Human Biology course and it was the hardest class I have ever taken. He provides tons of study material that he made and responds to emails promptly, which is nice. You have to be dedicated to the subject and the learning pattern needed or you will fail. Also he does not give warning to weird or real life images so watch out.

He also has quizlet set up for students to use and study guides that you can do as much as needed before quizzes! He wants you to succeed!

Im just finishing up my first year of nursing school and can say that the foundation I built in this class has helped me so much in my program! I cant even tell you how many times Ive referred back to my physio notes for nursing. Hes a fantastic professor and a great man. Hard class but you will take it with you!

His online format was so clean and organized, he was very attentive, very clear on what you needed to do. Yes, there is a lot of information to learn in this class. However he provides lots of helpful ways to learn the information. It gives you a book to buy at the beginning of the course, but he provides lecture outlines for the class. If you use those you really do not need the textbook. He provides videos, a website, quizlets, and more. So helpful.

Be sure to go to the review sessions as they were very helpful. I am an LVN and now understand so much more about what is happening to my patients.

He is amazing, the class is hard. He provides all the materials you need to be successful in this class but you have to study and learn it outside of lecture. To get a B I averaged an hour a day of no distraction studying. There is some extra credit just do it. It is worth it. He offered quizlet as a study tool which is a must to pass his quizzes.

I recommend taking it on its own if you struggle with ADHD or other challenging subjects. You can make up for missed classes by attending different sessions during the week.

One of the best teachers I've ever had.

This professor cares about every single student's success and he will check in with you if he sees you struggling. His lectures are funny and he makes it very easy to retain information. I've never had such an amazing teacher.

Professor Croes is very easy to reach and willing to help with anything one is having a difficult time understanding. His lecture videos are extremely helpful. The study guide quizzes are long but there are plenty of opportunities to get a 5/5 and they help with the preparation for tests. He has a clear passion for Bio that makes his class fun!

God bless this man! Someone give him a raise! The most caring professor I have ever met. Content is heavy but so interesting and fun especially if you're going into the medical field. Never written a review before but definitely will for Dr. Croes. Apply yourself and it'll show in your grade. Dr. Croes wants success for all of his students.

Great Professor, it's a hard class but he sets you up to pass. A lot of content and he makes it very clear what you'll be tested on, no tricks. He provides many avenues to learn content. He also responds to messages and questions. First professor in a long time that seems to care that you understand and gets that physiology is hard for some.

Dr. Croes is the best professor I've ever had. He really cares about his students and wants us to succeed. I wish more professors were like him. He is extremely funny and knowledgeable. He takes any opportunity to teach us and provides amazing resources for us on our own when we aren't in class or on campus. This was the best and funniest class.

He is a wonderful professor. He is so engaged with the material and excited to teach it. He provided all of the notes and lecture material as well as held review sessions prior to the class. No book necessary. Everything you need to study/learn is provided to you. As long as you study the material you will get an "A" in his course.
