Great Teacher, I would reccomend him to anyone

Once you figure out how he does his tests, the class is smooth sailing. He's a riot in class, also. He always keeps you laughing.

Funny. Very funny. Actually keeps you awake in a horrible class. Without him for a teacher I never would've passed Gov. He wants you to know stuff so Jay Leno can't make fun of you on the street.

He is cool, hilarious and very helpful. He wants you to learn and succeed. It is no cakewalk but he tells you the score up front and if you study you can pass. He is very fair... and pretty easy on the eyes!

Mr. Crosby is hilarious!! Makes teaching very fun and easy! His tests are fair if you do the review also do all homework, its easy and it helps your grade. If you haven't taken US Govt i recommend him highly.He'll make you want to come to class.

Geart teacher, explains the material well, helps you understand if you don't. Test are a litte hard, so if you want to pass pay attention to the study guides, and ALL WAYS look over the essay questions and make sure you know what you want to write!!

Number 1: This teacher WILL test you on stuff he doesn't cover in his daily class lecture. And yes he LECTURES ALOT! Just pay attention and whatever he writes down on the board- TAKE THE NOTES! And don't skip this class. You miss it, there's no mercy!

I liked this class becuase of the way he taught. He always had a funny story behind everything or made the lectures funny. just make sure you do the study guide and it's all good.

He is a great teacher- he is very well prepared, funny, articulate and he always explains everything very well. I was dreading taking U.S. Gov, but he makes me want to come to class. You can't cram for his exams, but he's generally a fair grader.

He was so sweet and helpful. He knows what he's talking about, but he's very caring and understanding to everyone's needs. He difficult sometimes, but if you study and listen youll be okay.

He lectures a lot but makes them VERY interesting and you can realate to them. Hes funny and thoroughly answers your questions!Too much info to cram for before an exam-make sure you know EVERYTHING on the study guide and read his articles. DONT BE ANSENT!

I didn't really like this class very much. His style of teaching just didn't work with me. In order to get a good grade you really need to read and study the book hard. That just doesn't work well with me. He can be funny, but his lectures need work

Crosby is the S***!!!! I feel like I'm in the 10% of the population that actually knows the basics about how our government works. His class is very well structured. YOU MUST RETAIN THE INFORMATION IN ORDER TO GET GOOD MARKS ON HIS TESTS. A+++++++++++++++

Has a wonderful approach to the class and explains the concepts clearly while making the content interesting. He is by no means an easy teacher, but if you go to class, pay attention and ask questions, you will barely need to study.

One of the best teachers I have had at VCC. Made the class very interesting. I learned a lot in his class. The tests were pretty much all mutiple choice. I study and I found them to be pretty easy.

Crosby has got to be one the BEST teachers i've had. His tests are all multiple choice, and one Essay question (2paragraphs). He gives you the essay question 2 weeks b 4 the exam. His course is difficult but VERY VERY FUN and INTERESTING. MAKES THE MOST BOARING TOPIC HILARIOUS.

I have his class at 7:30 am and i still manage to stay awake. He has a great sense of humor and a lot of good stories, but at the end of class you walk out realizing that you really did learn something that day. Also, there's a study guide for all of his tests online. Great teacher!

He was okay...not as funny as some say he is...I found the tests to be difficult only because the tests are lecture and book info combined! The essay is very easy though..All in all a good professor (not the best)

I took political science with professor Crosby a while ago, and I must say his class interested me a great deal (and I am a science major!). I never knew American Government could be so fun! I loved his class and there's no doubt in my mind that you will too if you take good notes and study in advance for the essay questions. You'll love "the Crosby Poli Sci."

As a student who HATES (Lemme emphasize that again..HAATTEESS) Political Science courses, this is one of the most enjoyabe classes I have been in. Funny guy. Can't help but be a smartass sometimes (which is great). The only difficult part of his class is remembering the material needed for his exams. But other than that the class discussions are fun and he's a great teacher!

this was a fun class. hes funny and tells what you what you need to know for the test. he gives you the essays ahead of time, but you have to memorize 7-9 of them for each of the tests. i dont know how he got a hot rating

Mr. Crosby knows politics and his sense of humour makes what may be a boring subject for some, a lot of fun. He doesn't preach his ideologies, instead brings forward all black, white and Gray. Some say he requires a lot of writing, but that is not true, you could just copy it all from the book and he won't mind. Nor does he cares about grammer.

Professor Crosby makes things easy to understand, and I think is one of the better professors I've had. Our class is very small at the end of this semester (started 15, now 6) I dreaded this class going in, but now as I leave, I will miss it. Prof. Crosby is what Patton Oswald would be if he taught U.S. Government. He was an awesome teacher, made the material interesting, and always had a good story to tell. If you have to take this class, I definitely recommend taking Crosby's class.

The class was very straight forward. Take notes every class, do the review questions and the essays he give you before the test and do the homework. Basically do the work, its kinda busy work but he makes it intesting and will answer almost any question you have during class as it pertains to the lecture. Took it summer 2006 got an A!

Do the essay question that he give you before the clase and take notes. He make it very interesting and does not pick side which is the best part. He gives you the fact.

He's very entertaining . A little fruity like his KoolAid but it's a good thing. He's very intelligent . He's into class participation & he will gladly take the opposing side to debate on an issue. Tests are simple if you study ! Seriously, essay topics & multiple choice tests...know the vocab & the essay question . .. & it's cake

His tests are in essay format. A month before the test, he gives you the actual test and tells you to study. On the day of the tests, three essays are randomly picked (balls out of a hat), then there are usually a few multiple choice. One test is 30% of your grade! He is easy to understand and somewhat funny.

Not an easy a but a great class. Crosby's sarcasm is hilarious. It makes the class go by fast and I was in a three hour class. Tests are 3 of 10 essay questions picked out of a hat so they're not easy. If you study and you want to pass, you will. Overall, one of the best classes I've ever taken because of the professor's delivery of the subject.

I loved this class!!! I had no interest in government until I went into his class. He was very engaging and gives you all the answers to the test as long as you take notes do the homework and study you will be fine. he doesnt require you to go to class but its a really good idea if you want to get a good grade.

He is really funny and I loved the sense of humor. You have to read/buy the book. The exams are based on the book and notes, so you have to attend. The class can be really fun, and he makes it that way. You will love it if you show up and study hard. Only four exams so don't blow.

IM not sure what these people talking about first of all the guy is so picky on his essay test instead of AMH or Pos he should teach english. inorder to have an A in his class keep your opions to your self,think and write just like him your looking at a sharp A+, he has favorites just try to fall in his MY FAVS list you'll pass

Class is difficult and he is incredibly impressed with himself. Relatively funny. You have to attend class and he is completely non negotiable in every aspect. Playing to his favorites gets old - if you don't suck up, keep your mouth shut, vomit back the material he gives verbatim and you'll be fine.

From the first class when going over the syllabus he says to do the study guide posted online. He never really mentions it again. DO IT! if you can answer the study guide, take good notes, and read the chapter then you are golden! The tests come right off the class notes and study guide! He is helpful and will answer any question you have.

His test are very exact as long as you review the study guide and his notes that he gives in class everything will be fine. Prof Crosby is the funniest professor i have ever had. He gives tests or as he calls it, "exams" every two weeks, and there is no final exam unless you miss any of the tests during the year. He gives you a study guide for each of the tests and as long as you study those you will do fine. His lectures are hilarious, and he keeps you entertained.

Professor Crosby is an awesome teacher! He is one of the rare teachers that are genuinely clever and funny. Knows how to take a joke. You need your book for this class! Many worksheets and tests are every 2 weeks but if you study, they arent that bad. He makes the class itself very interesting and answers questions thoroughly until you understand.

Ok... I had this teacher like years ago (summer 05), but I just found out about this site!~ let me tell you this was the first class I ever took in college and OMG was he great! I loved how he would talk! Lecture was awesome, I never cared about government so much before! I've carried all of those things that I learned from then to present day!

I just left the last comment...I forgot to tell you that his test were hard if you didn't study! Last I remember They were all essay style! if you answer ALL PARTS of the question you will be ok! just remember that! Watch your spelling and grammar! have fun and have an opinion! He likes to argue! Don't be afraid of telling him your views! be open!

test are basically only grade.test every other week.attendance not mandatory but if u dont show up you wont know what is going on.test are on the book,notes and whats said.he ask we put terrible comments about him, he doesnt want people in his class because of good reviews on here.he's a good teacher, just really hard test!

I took INR 2002 honors class. It consist of 4 exams and 1 critical thinking paper. The test are 20-25 multiple choice and 2 essay question. He give you 5 essay questions 1 week before the exam to study in which only 2 of them would be on the exam. I enjoyed his teaching methods and YOU WILL LEARN ALOT!

Prof Crosby is so funny and so nice and his class is great, but his essay questions and tests are really hard. You really have to read the book and study a lot before the tests to make sure you get it right, but the class itself is great.

Read. Read. Read. If you want to pass any of his test. Extremely funny guy and makes learning about government interesting. He has essay questions on the test which for me were dificult, but if you read the chapters and practice the essays you should be fine.

I will make simplified sentences. Hard exams but fun class. Funny guy but strict on grading his exams. Multiple choice questions are tricky. You will learn a lot from the class, and i am not joking. Not joking when i say you literally need to sleep with the book, study guides, and essay questions lol Avoid him if you are lazy :)

Professor Crosby is one of the best professors i've had. There are 4 exams and chapter tests in between. You need to study days in advance to earn an A on an exam. Definitely one of the hardest classes i've ever taken. Not an easy A but awesome guy! i learned a lot.

Wow, not a single person who's taken this guy thought to mention this was a GROUP CLASS? 15% of your grade is based on group work...and group testing! No thanks. I had to drop this class like it was hot. He also mentioned he only spends about 15 minutes teaching each class.. The rest is group discussion! Not my style at all.

There is a test pretty much every single week. You are teaching yourself. Your grade pretty much depends on your test grades. He goes over some stuff and expects you to put exactly that in the Unit Exams yet it doesn't ask for it in the question. A lot of the study guide material is not even on the test. If you want a hard challenge go for him.

Professor Crosby is a pretty funny professor. His main saying is, "The book is your teacher if anything he is here to help you understand Patterson." Every week after you read a chapter the next class you have a test on it for 15 min. then break up into a group and take the quiz again for 15min.

After Reading three chapters he gives you a Unit Exam and at the end of the exams you get four essay questions with three parts to them.......... if you have no life and can comprehend everything you read with no explaination go ahead and take him because you will not get your moneys worth by teaching yourself that is what the professor is for.....

He is a pretty good teacher but take lots of notes when you read the material and such to understand. But he can teach very well and I wouldn't taking his class again even though I failed it.

Prof. Crosby is a great teacher. The scoop on the class is there are a lot of quizes and unit exams, but he doesnt re-test for the whole semester and as long as you read and understand the text you will do well in his class.

His class is exremely challenging but he is a great professor ..he is willing to help and is clear on what is expected... his class is definitely a college level class and you will have to read a lot and study very hard

DON"T TAKE THIS PROF!! I earned a B in this class and I had to work for it like the rent was due. He's a good guy, and you'll learn alot but I would not want to work this hard again for an intro-type class.

Ok, he is hard I admit that, but he's a WONDERFUL teacher.. He KNOWS excactly what he's talking about he's quirky and easy going and relates funny things about his life into the class to keep it light. He always asks if anyone has any questions or if anyone is lost and never talks down to you. It is a college level class so expect to work for it :)

Anyone who has ever complained about his class is just lazy. Prof. Crosby lectures well, but he also emphasizes that he's not going to hold your hand. You have to earn your grade by reading the book and studying. He's a really funny guy who makes class fun. He expects you to put effort into the class, & he really cares about his students' success.

He is a great teacher, he makes you care about our government. He is funny and discussions are so intriguing I often brought them home to discuss with my family. Gets you to think without over whelming your brain. If you truly study for his midterm and finals and do the little work for his quizzes you will pass with flying colors. Loved this class

Professor Crosby is by far one of my favorite teachers I've ever had. He knows his subject and his main goal is to make sure his students know what they are taught. If you dislike reading, understanding your rights, or are just plain too lazy to put any effort in a COLLEGE COURSE then don't take him. Lazy people are the only ones that complain.

The class wasn't a cake walk but from what I hear he is the best government teacher on campus. There are quizzes on each chapter that were true/false and about 14-16 questions. After a few chapters, there was a unit test. 3 unit tests total which count as the final. I would recommend the teacher to anyone.

I strongly dislike this professor. It is a very reading intensive course, as he points out at the beginning. But it's more than that. You read at least 30 pages per every 2 classes out of your book. He does t/f quizzes on each ch. Exam every 3 ch's. Exams are 5-7 short answer, 30-40 mult. choice. DO NOT TAKE.

Professor Crosby is a great teacher. You have to read a lot in this class. Quizzes are T/F they're pretty easy if you read the assigned chapter. He is very clear with his work. He does Q & A sessions each class, so there's no excuse for "I didn't get it." Tests themselves are hard. Get ready to study 4-6 hours for quizzes. 10-12 hours for tests. A+

The prof. makes the subject very interesting. He is very helpful, clear and funny. I recomended him for American Government.Easy class just read the chapters and review class notes.

You have to study a lot for his exams but it's not impossible to get an A. He gives out quizzes almost every week and his exams consist of multiple choice and writing. Use his study guides, they are what's on his quizzes. He will make you laugh a lot and actually makes government bearable to even listen to. I liked his class a lot

Excellent professor. The problem I have with most teachers even not political teachers is they bring there political beliefs into the lecture bashing Capitalism or Socialism. And it drives me up a wall. But you don't have to worry about that with Professor Crosby. He stays completely on topic and only teaches the facts. Very willing to help.

Prof. Crosby is a great professor. I dreaded taking this class, but ended up loving it. It definitely is no cake walk, but if you follow his study guides and keep up with the reading you will do fine. He has a great sense of humor, and complete knowledge of the subject, which really made the class fun.

He is a great Professor, he explains everything clearly and if you don't understand he will definitely do the best he can to make you understand it!! However, he does not show a lot of availability after class time. He dropped the lowest quiz (out of 8), and there are 4 test (50% written 50% multiple choice), the tests are not easy at all!! Professor Crosby is a GREAT teacher. He will help as much as he can, he is patient and offers SL classes that HELPED ME A LOT. Doesn't give extra credit. He's funny extremely nice he's a really cool guy I definitely reconmmend. The class is not THAT easy, you just have to work hard for an A.

This class was the highlight of my day! Professor Crosby is incredibly patient and always keeps the class entertaining. I will day however, this was by far the most demanding class I've taken so far. But, if you work for it, and A is not impossible!

Professor Crosby is outstanding. 12 true/false tests, each on a chapter of the book. He has three exams, each based on three chapter tests and lectures, each exam has 25 MC questions worth 50%, 4 short responses worth 20%, and a 3-part extended response question worth 30%. He does not have time in class for discussion, but does answer questions.

Professor Crosby is a really cool guy. He's very easy to get along with and talk to, however, the class is extremely hard. I'm a very good student, & I tried really hard in this class, but I got one of the worst final grades I've ever received. IF YOU WANT AN EASY A, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Exams are unreasonably hard. Crosby is such a funny professor. It's easy to get along with him once you get used to his sarcastic humor. His quizzes are super easy - you get to take it once with the your notes then again with the book. The test are harder but he provides you with a list of the free response questions he'll pick from. Overall a great class.

Excellent professor. I took his International Relations course- very much respected instructor who is all about student initiative. May seem reserved but has an open door policy and is very welcoming and helpful during his office hours. Take advantage of his help! His views are well balanced & welcoming of all perspectives. Great sense of humor!

Fantastic professor, requires you to work and really put your effort in but other than that, you learn the concepts of Government quite clearly and he doesn't play around in making you understand concepts and discuss them while simultaneously being absolutely hilarious and entertaining. Seriously the best teacher I have ever had. You have to read a chapter a week and have a lot of tests but he is very upfront about that on the first day of class. I absolutely despise history classes, but this man made me love my government class. His lectures are long but incredibly hilarious. He keeps you entertained the whole time and makes the material relatable. There are a lot of tests, but as long as you take good notes, read the textbook, and go over his study guides you'll ace every single one.

Great engaging conversations rather than lectures, teaches you what you need to know and does not add extra. cut to the point with everything he says, he is funny has great explanations of particular subjects, open in his ideological beliefs and will most definitely teach how to talk about basic political matters and understand them fully.

Had him in IR. He's very engaged with students in his lecture. Always shows up for office hours. He teaches to critically think, not what to think. His test are challenging but if you read and take all possible notes you will be fine.

There are no Homework Assignments, just Online Chapter Tests where you can use your book/notes, and 3-4 Mostly Multiple choice Exams. Tests can be a little hard so study and you'll be fine. He made the material super interesting, without being biased. It is an honors class so it's a bit more engaging and there's a bit of critical thinking. There's information in the chapters that he doesn't teach but that he does test you on, so reading the chapters is a must. Not a whole lot of room for error attendance 10%, 1 paper 15%, 3 exams 75%

He is hilarious! He keeps the lessons fun with his sense of humor and is very engaging with students. The study guides really do help A LOT so make sure to use them for the exams! Also, all class discussions are potentially on exams as well :)

Really funny guy. All you have to do is read the book and DO THE ONLINE HOMEWORK. HE will NOT reset the online homework if you miss the deadline. 4 tests, each test based on 2 chapters. Read the study guide for the tests and go through the chapters. Quick answer by email. Final exam is the 4th test also based on the the last 2 chapters taught.

This is a great professor with awesome lectures. It definitely was my favorite class. No homework at all. You only had to take 7 quizzes in all the semester, 3 exams (no final test), and one research paper. I would come to classes only to hear if I could.

I took Crosby's class awhile back before attending UF. I am a political science major and I will say that this class is probably harder, and taught better, than at Florida. If one can make an A in this course they are more than capable of moving on and majoring in political science at any school in Fl. Great professor but will make you work!

He has to be one of the best professors i've ever taken in Valencia. He looks like he's really serious but he'll start to pop jokes and make the class really fun. Online hw is super easy and exams are not hard at all. He has a policy were if you are present for the chapters covered for the exam, he'll give you 5 points towards the exam.

Scott Crosby knows his stuff. Like oh man. You can't even. He teaches mostly through lecture, but encourages questions and will expound on whatever you ask. It's great. He's very good at what he does, so if you learn through conversation, he's your guy. Be curious and learn the material bc it's interesting. It's an easy A if you do that.

I walked in class not knowing a thing about world politics, his lectures are so interesting you'd not want to miss one, and I definitely passed class x100 smarter than I started! Something new everyday, encourages dialogues and his jokes never get old! Like hooky? His your bff!

I took Crosby for IR and I enjoyed his class. There are 3 tests (open notes), online quizes, & 1 paper. No PP slides, he only discusses the main topics in class and writes some key info on the whiteboard, so you have to read the book to understand all the topics. He's also funny and lectures with energy, but the class is mostly self taught.

Be ready to read and study a lot ! but thats more because of the class choice not because of him as much. He is great and tries to help where he can

One of the best professors I've had. He is hilarious, knowledgeable, and full of energy. Professor Crosby makes the material interesting even if it may not be the most intriguing topic. All the exams are open notebook. You will pass if you pay attention take good notes. Would recommend to anyone taking this course.

The grade consists of tests and online assessments and one essay at the end. The topics taught in class are amazing and you will be amazed at how much you'll learn.

By far one of the best teachers I've had at this school. He is really funny and makes his lectures relatable to everyday life. Definitely going to have to read the text book in his class. One of the best professors Ive ever had. The only grades you will have are for the online quizzes and 3 tests (no final). Just use your book for the quizzes and study for the tests and youll pass! I took 2 classes with Professor Crosby and he is one of the easiest and most out going professors you'll encounter. Make sure to keep up with the quizzes and focus on the study guides he gives you. Write your essay points out before the exam and memorize them, the exam and entire class would be much easier if you stuck to the study guide and text.

This class was the hardest I ever took. Its not hard because I didnt understand its hard because his tests werent accurate he would choose only certain part on things we read, its a three ch exam why am I being tests on one chapter. Prepare to read, easy quizzes, lectures in class take notes, one final essay. 3 unit exams. Hes really nice.

He offers 5 points extra credit on each exam unit if you don't skip class or use your phone. His online quizzes and exams are easy, and the essay is long but he is not a tough grader on it. Professor Crosby is a funny, excellent teacher but his INR class is fairly difficult in that you must read the textbook and fill in the blanks that were left out of his lectures. The grading boiled down to 3 tests, final paper and online quizzes, all 20% each so if you fail a test it's hard to get an A in the class.

There's essentially no homework in the class but your grade almost entirely relies on the three exams and a paper, which require you to read the textbook, he won't cover enough in the lectures alone to pass the exams. Watch his YouTube lectures which he provides extra information on each chapter as well as reading yourself because he will have 2-3 short answer questions on each quiz. Professor Crosby took a class that many would think is boring and made it a joy to attend with his personality, quizzes every week and a three unit tests make up the grade, also 5% for attendance. A great professor that makes the topic of U.S. Government entertaining and easy to retain. He makes it very clear what to study before a test and even allows you to bring a small notecard to tests to assist. Do not pass up his class, you won't regret it.

SUCH A COOL GUY! Super funny and passionate about the class but the reading is VERY heavy in this course and your entire grade is pretty much the 3 exams. Again its a lot of work but he makes it fun, if you pay attention to lectures and do the readings should be an easy fun class, again class is a lot but the professor is great.

This professor is really kind, funny, and awesome. The only thing i could say is that you have read many pages of his textbook every week but is honestly not bad, you are given a credit for attendance so keep that on mind also your grade is mainly based on three exams
