CROSIER and GIS ROCK!!! Geographic Information Systems sounds stuffy, but it is a really fun class, and highly marketable for a college student! I really enjoy Crosier class, we get to listen to music. AND he is really really helpful and straight forward. The best part, you get to pick your assignment for the projects class. Crosier is awesome! There are 2 midterms which he helps you prepare for, and 1 final. There is a term paper on a location of your choice, but he gives you homework assignments to help you prepare. The paper is easy!!!! Crosier is funny, understanding, and has a passion to teach. Take him I highly recommend it!

Crosier is a nice guy, clearly enjoys teaching and goes out of his way to make the material interesting. Light homework, a few quizzes, 3 tests and a final paper. Never needed the textbook. Reviews for tests (multiple choice) and most of the paper is completed over the semester as homework. Took his class for GE reqs and am glad I did. Recommended.

First off he is the best teacher to take for Geography. He likes what he does and always energetic and funny. You take quizzes online and thats basically the 2 midterms you take so study those!! Also when he lectures he makes things entertaining so you dont fall asleep especially if you have him for the 7:30 class!

This teacher was pretty entertaining and quirky. He made the information easy to grasp. It would be impossible to fail this class unless you really don't care. Tests are a breeze. Oh... and you probably won't need to even touch your textbook if you just show up to class.

He's really easy to get along with. Very flexible with turning in homework late. He always had a great attitude and tried to incorporate humor into every lesson. He gets EXTREMELY giddy when talking about maps haha, you can definitely tell that it is his passion. Its hilarious to see him get all excited over a map and its colors.

Great Prof. Easy going, class consists of d2l quizzes which are the same questions on the exams & site study assignments (easy) which makes up the term paper. All exams multiple choice, 2 exams & Final. Little hmwk. Easy A.

This class is RIDICULOUSLY EASY. He is what I'd like to describe as Intelligent and Goofy. He takes advice from students very seriously. VERY LIGHT WORK LOAD. A lot of online quizzes. Attendance is only a factor when there are many students not present. TAKE HIS CLASS!!!

This is his lab class following his lecture. The prerequisite for this lab is to have taken or currently enrolled in a Geography 300 class. His labs are really easy to follow. He goes through the lab very thoroughly.

Scott is a very energetic instructor and is VERY passionate about Geography. He spends nearly the entire class drawing and diagramming his lectures in a spectrum of colors across the white board. Takes attendance 3 times semester randomly. Class forums require public speaking. His teaching style consists of reading PP from d2l. Easy class, it's pretty much a joke.

Super sweet, super funny, and very easy! Quizzes and tests are done on line, 3 forums, and a couple of in class essays. Dont waste money buying book--take notes and he always go over the answer for the quizzes and tests. Only thing is, he takes 3 random attendance--could lower 1 letter grade if you miss it

Literally no exams, only assignments are chapter quizzes and if you attend class he goes over all the answers! super easy and helpful, funny guy and his lectures seem to go by fast. Doesn't take attendance on a daily basis, just a couple days of the semester for credit and lets you know when he is going to take it.

Best professor ever. Hes the type to let you learn and not try to memorize everything besides the map quizzes. Hes very energetic and motivating. Not a lot to do, most people finish labs in class so there isnt really any homework. Final and quizzes are online.

Professor focuses on teaching rather than grading. Labs are easy peasy because he walks you through them. Nothing too difficult in class besides quizzes. Quizzes are online so do your best to take notes during lecture. Final is based on quiz questions. There will be one report due near end of semester.

I regret not taking his lab when I had the chance. He's so chill and loves the subject he teaches. Science is not my favorite but he really knows his stuff and he makes everything easy to understand. I took this class to cover a GE requirement and I actually ended up learning a lot about the GEO. I really enjoy his method of teaching. He does not require midterms or finals which was awesome since it took the stress away. I was able to enjoy & learn during the lectures w/o having to feel the pressure wondering what was going to be on a test

BEST PROFESSOR EVER! There are two map quizzes, chapter quizzes online (SUPER EASY) based on the notes from class, no midterm no final, just a final project at the end. Make sure to copy down the diagrams he draws on the board. He does take attendance randomly in the semester which you get credit for. I will be taking him again for Geog 301.

I took professor Crosier for Geography 300 and 301. In 300 it was pretty laid back and I would call it an easy A class. However, I wasn't a big fan of the class forums since I was one of the quiet students. Besides the class forums, I enjoyed 300 and I would say that professor Crosier is a good professor. He makes geography kind of interesting.

Unlike GEOG 300, 301 was a little more difficult. The class mainly consisted of labs, which I found to be somewhat of a challenge for me personally. I would say that I am ok with Geography (meaning I am not terrible or great at the subject). I found another student in the class to help me with the labs. This has proven to be somewhat useful to me.

This was by far one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. He is a very understanding and kind professor who just wants his students to pass. All quizzes are online and open note, and there is no written final. Would recommend this class for anyone looking for an easy A.

Online lectures were very easy to comprehend. He made this class a lot more interesting than expected. Very little homework, only about a quiz a week worth 5 points but they were very easy. One term paper, but it very easy to do and if you fulfilled the criteria you get the full points.

This is an online GEOG306, 2022 class. I take this class for GE, and love how the whole layout of his class. His one module might take 2-3 weeks and lots of reading and videos to read but as an ESL learner, it is not too bad at all. Each module has a quiz, easy if you do read and watch the video. a few shorter writings but again, totally doable.

Awesome! There are only a few graded assignments, quizzes and reports, so each one counts heavily on your grade. However, if you watch the videos and read the material, everything is SUPER easy to complete. Everything s straight forward and there's enough time to complete everything.

Do your work and you will be fine. By far the easiest class I have ever taken. All he wants you to do is do your best. Even if your answers are wrong he still gives you an A. He really just wants you to learn. He will even help you on the quizzes! EASY A! By far the best professor I have ever taken!!!!!

Writing this 10 years after taking classes with Professor Crosier for my GIS Certificate. Took my niece to Point Reyes National Park this weekend and remembered a truly amazing field trip weekend he took our class on there. He really inspired my love for all things outdoors. He made a huge impact on my life and career opportunities.

I took this class Fall 24. One sizable written lab assignment most weeks (2 weeks we did a video review instead) but no assignments due Thanksgiving week and no midterm or final. A quiz every 2 labs. Clear videos explaining everything you need to know for each lab. Has due dates but you can turn in any assignment up to a week late for full credit.

Professor Crosier is an engaging and enthusiastic lecturer. Although his teaching style can be fast-paced, he is always happy to clarify and revisit topics. The class is manageable with regular attendance and preparation, including using study aids like Unstuck study. Overall, a great learning experience.

I took his GEOG 306 class and it was SO easy. Prof is so laid back. There's a module every other week with either a quiz (which was very easy if you watched his videos), a small weather report about a historic storm of your choice, or a small TedTalk review questionnaire. He gives study guides in each module. I never had to email him for anything.

He is probably one of the best professors I have had. He is ACTUALLY funny, and his class is fairly easy. He assigns quizzes based on the lectures and he even reviews them in class where he gives the answers. Other than that, he also has some other assignments/projects which are easy if you follow directions.

Chill and caring professor. Thankfully there are no exams. Usually have weekly quizzes. Or either discussion posts and or a couple writing assignments where you watch videos. There's also a couple mapping assignments throughout the semester. The final term writing project is pretty easy to complete. Would recommend taking this class and professor.

This class was so light. Very manageable, and easy to do well in. I think prof. Crosier is an interesting guy, I like his personality so no complaints, you can tell he is really passionate about what he does. Take this guy he's awesome.

Took 306 online, and he was a bit hard to get ahold of, but eventually answered. Don't forget to do quizzes because I did, and my grade dropped a bit. Other than that, easy course! Great lecture vids, not a lot of HW, reports are easy. Definitely recommend it if you aren't a STEM major and need to get your physical science credit.
