Great Teacher, Very enthusiastic about the material. Test were clear but could be hard because they are not multiple choice. He was really great at teaching the lab. Very fair and available to students.

The Test is based on every dot and tittle he puts on the board. Know everything for the upcoming test (lecture notes are only 4 pages typed out for each test) and you can ace each test and have better understanding of nature and the world. Cool person, likes what he teaches. Recommended

very good teacher, very clear in what he wants you to know and what he will test on. take the time to learn his lecture notes and you will definitely ace every test. he's excited about what he teaches, very interesting lectures and labs. awesome awesome awesome. highly recommended!

Go to class. Pay attention. Study. That is all I can tell you. His tests are tough, but it isn't anything he didn't cover in class. He knows his stuff and you will too. I guess you can say he's a hard teacher, but if you're serious about the class, he sees that and will help you if you ask. Don't let him intimidate you.

Take notes. The tests come from the notes! How simple is that? The tests are not easy but if you take notes and study you should do well. He doesn't try to trick you or anything. I highly approve of this teacher. He is very helpful and very passionate about Biology. Great class.

Go to class--Take down all of his notes--and easily get by with a C, possibly B. (good for someone who wasn't all that interested to begin with)...Beware though, ask the wrong question and have lots of attention called to yourself due to his smart remarks. ;)

Great Teacher

Don't even buy a textbook because you wont need it for any class that you have him in. I can't strees enough that you must go to EVERY class, and that you must take EVERY note. If you memorize your notes then you will make A's on all the tests. Great teacher. If you have a question, then ask...he loves that!

Good teacher and his tests are very fair. However, you better not miss class!!! Every single thing he puts on that board will be on the test. He does have a bit of an attitude problem, but don't let it get to you. Again, get yourself to class and write down EVERYTHING.

He is my favorite teacher! I had 3 Bio classes of his. Test are directly from notes. You'll never open the book. He is more than willing to help. He is funny, and really laid back. I highly recomend taking his class. Study all of the notes, because the tests are challenging. Study, go to class and you'll do fine.

Very knowledgeable in Biology. Exams are challenging, but all from the notes in his lecture. Will answer questions and makes class interesting. A funny guy.

Great Instructor. Down to earth. If he looks at his notebook twice b4 writing it on the board, it WILL be on the test. If he draws it on the board, you will probably see it again. Highly recommend taking his class.

Don't use the book at all, he gives notes every day in class and is very clear that what is in the notes is what will be on the test. Clear teaching as far as science teachers go. I would definetly reccomend Diegman.

I love mr Diegmann! He is so funny and really knows his stuff. He is very excited about the material and gets you excited too. Very helpful. Take lots of notes and dont be afraid to ask for help. He's definitely my favorite teacher.

Mr. Diegman is awesome. His class is easy, write down what he writes on the board and you have the test answers. He is happy to answer questions, but if he thinks they are stupid, he'll make it pretty obvious. It's kind of funny though. Excellent Teacher! Couldn't ask for a better one. It is very important to go to class (even though its not mandatory) because the notes he gives is exactly whats on the test. You'll need to study, of course, but the way he teaches is very straight forward and other than studying there's not much out of class work. You don't even need the book.

Great teacher! Loves biology and teaches it very well. You don't need the book, but go to class and study his notes!! The tests aren't hard but you HAVE to STUDY! Don't hesitate to ask questions. He wants his students to do well, and to make sure they understand the info as much as he can. He won't just give you an A you have to work hard for it!!

Very good teacher. He will make the notes just like the test. If we didn't cover it in class he doesn't test us on it.Sometimes he gets frustrated by questions when people ask the same thing over again because they weren't listening. If you really don't understand the material its best to see him during office hours. I recommend this teacher!

He was my best teacher in any of my classes. He will write everything you need to know on the board, there is no need for a book. He is enthusiastic about his subject. Best of all, he cares about people. He is always up for answering questions, even if you are no longer his student and are just curious. Needless to say, he will help his students.

Mr. Diegmann is one of the best instructors I have had at CPCC. He makes all of his notes from the book so if you take notes in class you really don't need the book. He tests exactly on his notes. He is interesting and entertaining. He gives you extra points just for showing up to review the test. An absolute joy to go to class each day.

Won't leave you bored in class. However, if you ask a question, he may answer you with another question. He has a tendency to put a few students on the spot and can seem disrespectful. This teacher thinks he is the most important being in the world. He is very stressed. I took Bio 111 last fall and I will never take any class with him anymore.

Easy class. Memorize notes and that's it.all his test come out of the notes and they are EASY.

His class is amazing if you do well on tests but if you are one of those people like me who can study like crazy and still bomb tests I would strongly suggest another teacher he only has tests for grades and they are all open ended questions, he was helpful and understanding but i ended up dropping the class W is better than an F.

Great Professor. If you take biology definitely take his class. I had him for all my bio courses and zoology. hes very helpful, and straightforward about what you will need to pass his classes. In my experience he really sets you up to do well. Hes also excited and interested in what hes teaching and that often makes for the best profs.

Zoology is a hard subject. But he made it fun with his passion for Biology and his copious notes. You will need to pay attention, take notes, and study them well in order to pass. He is firm, but he is consistent and fair. He gave us 6 points extra every test. You can lose 6pts and still make 100, I'd say that is more than most other teachers!

His tests follow his notes exactly. If you go to class, take the notes, and ask questions if you need to, he will be more than helpful. You can tell he's extremely interested in bio, great class!

I HATE biology. I failed it in HS. I got an A but I worked my butt off for it. Don't skip any class. don't wait till last day to study. willing to answer questions. tries to keep class interesting. Study Study Study. He will make you learn. An A is possible but you can't breeze through it.

Come to class, ask questions. He will take the time to answer all questions. If he doesn't know he will tell you that he doesn't know. He wants you to do well in his class.

BEST bio teacher ever (and i hate bio). I found his teaching style very interesting. Everything you need for the test, he writes it down on the board. Must study the notes that you took from the board. No homework, just tests.

Mr. Diegmann was the best Bio professor! I had him for 111 and 112 and found his method of lecturing very easy to follow. He uses real life analogies to explain complex ideas in biology a lot too. When I went to UNCC after CPCC, the bio dept there knew him and said that he was the best and I shouldn't need to retake BIO. Highly recommend him!

Mr. Deigmann for BIO-111, if you're going to take him DO NOT buy the book, there is no need. All the information that's going to be on the test will be written out on the board. So, DON'T miss any days of class, you'll be super confused if you do, you need to take notes if you want to get an A. He's funny and his analogies help. Late grader.

Actually makes biology enjoyable and easy to learn with no book needed. He really appreciates when you ask him questions. If you're a bad test taker you probably shouldn't take this class just because your only grades are tests. However if you come to class, take good notes, and study, you'll come out just fine

By far, the best professor I have ever had. He is very knowledgeable & unlike many other professors, he knows how to teach. If you are taking a class with him, don't buy the book. Whatever he writes on the board will be on your tests, which were not hard at all. He'd rather have you bring your kid to the class than skip it to take care of him/her.

Mr Diegmann is by far the greatest teacher I have ever had. I only wish there were more people like him in this world. He is very inspirational and cares about his students.

My absolute favorite professor at CPCC. took biology previously and withdrew out of fear of failing. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to pass and thanks to Diegmann I am now considering biology as my major. The class is hard but he tries to make it easier. I'm looking forward to taking BIO112 with him, he doesn't ask you to buy a book either.

He has the best personality! He is sarcastic and witty, yet really sweet. His lectures are really long, but he makes them so interesting. He writes them on the board with you so you know exactly what you need to know. He gives the best examples to help you remember things. HOWEVER, he is really strict about getting to class on time.

Professor Diegmann is just awesome! He gives out a note study guide, memorize it and you will get a 100 on the test! You Do Not need the book!! All the notes you need is on the board or given. The lectures are fun and he will use simple analogies to make you understand how certain enzymes or molecules function! All in all, highly recommended.

Take Bio with Professor Diegmann if you can! He explains things extremely well in class and his tests are entirely based on his notes that he gives. Easily the best science professor I've ever had, probably best professor ever. No reason to buy the textbook, it'll only confuse you compared to what he explains in class.

If you have a chance take with him, make sure you study the notes and it'll an easy A for a bio class. He is the best that's all I can say about him.

Scott is a great teacher. He actually cares that you are understanding the material. His homework is easy and so are his exams if you study. There aren't any extra credit opportunities. There are a limited amount of things he scores you on, so you can't mess up a lot of the homework or on multiple tests.

Good instructor. Very upfront and honest! Great quality for new "out of high school kids." Very informative, study his notes, listen, and you will do great on all tests.

Definitely take him! I saw some of the comments saying that you dont need a Textbook. Yes, you dont need a textbook for your test because all you need is studing his note but to me I still need a textbook to do the ONLINE quizzes (or you can find all answers on quizlet). The great thing is the final test is just one last chapter.

You will not need the textbook for his class. He is a very knowledgeable and funny guy. He's a bit rude when it comes to some students asking questions. Be ready to take notes and study the lecture notes that he posts and you'll be just fine.

He is an amazing teacher do your homework, his lecture notes are the exam reviews! The exams are very straightforward and easy. If you study the guided notes and have every concept clear you'll do amazing in the course. He's very nice and super friendly.

I took him for 111 and 112, one of my absolute favorite professors. He enjoys teaching and wants you to do well. His tests are extremely hard, but he gives you the notes! If you memorize and understand the notes there is no reason to not do well. Also, don't rush through his tests, he almost always throws in trick questions. I will miss him!

Professor Deigmann is amazing, the only thing I disliked about his class was the tricky questions that he purposefully planted on the tests to trick students. There are only a few per test so they don't really harm your grade, but they do become quite annoying.

Mr. Diegmann was a very wonderful biology teacher. He was very understanding and responded to emails fairly quickly. He didnt have lab exams but had lecture exams based on the lecture modules in Lumen. He had very engaging lab assignments that made biology more interesting. Overall, he was an amazing professor and I would definitely recommend him!

There's definitely a lot of reading but it is manageable taking this as an 8 week class. He is caring and will respond to emails as well. Do be sure to read the syllabus carefully because you may miss an assignment or two!

This class is way easier than BIO111. It has online tests, weekly quizzes, group labs, and a complicated project involving ten pictures of living organisms. However, Scott is an excellent choice for BIO-112. I highly recommend taking it in person with him, as it makes things easier.

I liked him, his class wasn't hard and his policies were very good. I'd recommend always communicating with him if something does come up. He was very understanding, would take it again.

Mr. Diegmann makes BIO fun! As long as you do ALL of the assignments, you'll get an A (if you miss some quizzes, you won't be able to turn them in late, so make sure you check your course every day! I got a B because I missed a few quizzes that were due the same day that I didn't receive notifications for). He's very passionate and makes class fun!

Understanding and classes are relaxed. Labs are easy. Only drawback is he can be a bit rude if you ask a question that he thinks you should know the answer to. Other than that he's nice! No extra credit (won't need it if u do ur work). 4 unit tests, weekly quizzes, and labs.
