I absolutley loved this class. I could always feel the spirit and I learned so many new things. He assigns great talks and the papers help you to understand the coherence of the topics. They are not about what he wants but about what you have learned and synthesized from reading and the discussions. I would recommed him to everyone. Very involved.

Great teacher. He teachers clear doctrine and has interesting lectures. It may seem like a lot of work, but it's worth it if you really want to get something out of your class.

I loved this class! It was my favorite class of the whole semester. Brother Ferguson is a great teacher! The work load may be a little more then other religion classes, but that's what makes you learn. You learn from putting effort into your classes!

I loved this class, and I especially love Brother Ferguson. You have to work for your grade in this class, but your work leads to personal growth. I haven't attended a class where the spirit wasn't there. He is humble and teaches by the spirit. He has opened my mind to several new perspectives! I definitely recommend taking a class from him!

This was probably my favorite class out of all of them I have taken in the four years of schooling. If you do the work that is asked and keep on task it is a breeze. If you procrastinate it I can see why you might not like him. He is funny and the spirit is Very strong when he teaches. I would suggest this class to every student.

Brother Ferguson brings great ideas to class and leads thoughtful discussions. However, the work load is really heavy and he does not always make requirements clear. Also, he will shoot you down in class if he does not like your comments but also drops your participation grade if you're hesitant to contribute. Tough, but may be worth taking.

He has had an incredible impact on my life. I highly recomend him as a professor. The class does require a lot of work but I am here to learn.

I liked his style of teaching. He was blunt about how he wants things done. I took fundamental scripture study and it was one of my favorite classes. He knows what he is doing and wants to help you get to the same place. Attendance is really important. He puts a lot of trust in us as students. I like him and am taking another class from him.

I couldn't have asked for a better teacher to prepare me for my mission. I ahve taken 4 amazing religion teachers up here and he is by far the best one. He knows the gospel and the scriptures. He teaches true doctrine and helps you get ready for life. If you get the chance, take a class from him.

He has a different teaching style but he is a great teacher! I was having a difficult time at first so I went to his office and asked for help. He is very understanding. I suggest taking fundamentals of scripture study. it has helped with my personal study.

I thought the class was amazing. I could feel the spirit in every lesson and was amazed at how much I learned. The work load was simply reading and pondering the scriptures. I would love to take more classes from him.

Great teacher. Knows his religion. Very intelligent. Invites the spirit to class. Class discussion is very open. Little work outside of class. cares about your grade and your success in understanding the scriptures. does not answer your emails, however. to contact, you need to talk to his face.

He makes you grade yourself so it can be easy to forget to do that saturday night.

He was a great teacher! I enjoy his class and the work load is not very much. You grade yourself and follow the honor system when doing hw. I liked it very much.

I thought brother Ferguson was a great teacher! You grade yourself on i-learn and you write alot of doct comps. The doct comps are done outside of class and it just ask questions on the reading you write like 1/2 page. Class is discussion and The final you memorize the prophets in order. I got a A in his class it was pretty simple.

Cool guy! I am not sure as to why previous reviews said that he is prideful or arrogant. This is not the case. Every day is a discussion led by him based on the most interesting subjects in each required section of reading. When he poses questions he is usually looking for a specific answer, so I imagine this is what might bother some people.

He is very fun and has a lot of insight. You do most of your grading. Easy A if you show up to class!

My favorite teacher by far!!! Every class I leave it feeling the spirit and feeling motivated to do better. He does require you to do a lot of reading, but take his scripture study class and you will know why he believes that. Prideful people? You all must be the "im better then thou, but judge everyone" idiots on campus. He knows his stuff.

I've had this teacher for two semesters now and will continue to take him as much as I can. He is VERY fair, extremely wise, and spiritual. What an am azing teacher! Really in it to teach you how to be a better person. Many people don't understand his humor and take it in the wrong way. really cares for the students and wants them to be better, and teaches them that they can be better! He's one of the best in my book.

Brother Ferguson is certainly among my list of favorite instructors on this campus. What I love about his teaching style is that assignments and class discussions are heavy on application instead of just knowing fun-facts. I feel like my character has improved after taking this course from him. Highly recommended!

Bro Ferguson was awesome.I loved him as a person,He totally makes things relatable. The last couple classes of the semester were by far the best religion classes i have ever had. A lot of people think he is arogant or pridefull.They probrably just got mad cuz he wouldnt pick them when they raised their hands to say something every five seconds.

Has you write a paper every class, but makes scripture fun and meaningful callenges you to be a better student and follower of christ, he is strict, but fair, follow his guidelines and you will make the A

Brother Ferguson knows his doctrine very well. He's brilliant and I left his class every single day with my mind expanded. If you go to class every day and do all of the work you'll get an A. He doesn't allow make up work. If you want an easy A don't take his class. If you want to learn then do take his class. I will totally take his classes again.

Taught me a life long lesson I'll never forget. I can see how some might say he's prideful, but he's not. His sense of humor is different, but not prideful. He does care for his students. Also, through self-evaluations, he's trying to teach us something, but I don't think most of the minds are open enough to understand - not his problem.

Great teacher, made sure to do every assignment for the semester, ended up missing one due to an ilearn accident and dropped my grade from 98% to an 82%. unfortunately it did not appear on ilearn for me and he didn't mention it in class at all. Even if I perform 100% on every assignment from here on the best grade I can get is an 84%, pretty lame.

Took his hybrid BOM class. He is a great teacher and really easy if you do the work. The work is really easy, a little tedious, but if you actually try you get a lot out of it. Very good with discussions. Definitely feel the spirit in class. A lot of reading at times but only b/c class was once a week. Received an A. He's been my favorite teacher.

I took his Hybrid BOM class and even though there was a lot of work because the class is once a week if you do all of the work and attend every class you should get an A. His discussions are super spiritual and you really do learn a lot. I would recommend him to anyone.

GREAT teacher! I have never learned so much in such a short time about the scriptures! I love his class discussions, and the homework is great because it isn't too hard, but it helps to open my mind about what it is I've been studying. It helps me think about those things and then better apply them to my own life.

Great teacher! I have taken his FDREL 121 class and his Family Foundations course and love the discussions had in class. The work is easy, it's just a matter of doing it. He expects you to be an adult and be responsible, so late work is not often accepted. Love this teacher and would recommend him to anyone. Looking forward to FDREL122 with him!!!

I took his hybrid Book of Mormon class. He's a great teacher. He understands the point of a religion class. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him.

Brother Ferguson is by far my favorite religion teacher. He is hilarious and the discussions that he brings about in class are so insightful and really bring the Spirit. He is very opinionated but accepts other peoples opinions very well. He's the best!!

He is the best!! No final as long as you show up to class everyday. Plus the homework is super easy. I have taken three classes from him and got all A's in them. He really does teaches from the spirit and makes class interesting. One thing I didn't like was family foundations class, but I think that was mainly because of the material.

This guy is awesome! His class is super easy, yet he really brings the Spirit into class, and he has his students' interests at heart. He's super funny, too. No final if you get 100% attendance. Would definitely take another class from him

Brother Ferguson is an amazing Book of Mormon teacher! He takes things from the stories that I never would have thought about before from a whole new perspective. If you come to every class, you don't have to take a final and there is never a test. In the hybrid course, there is a lot of reading on your own and a few easy homework assignments.

I took the hybrid class and there were a lot of readings and vides, but they were not hard at all and if you go to class you don't have to take the final. This class was the highlight of my semester. I loved going and it was a nice break from my other classes. If you do the work and show up to class you have no need to worry. He kept things real.

Brother Ferguson was an AWESOME teacher! This was a hybrid class so we only met once a week, but I really looked forward to it each friday. He is so good at making sure any hard to understand comments clear to those in the class. The online homework was kind of awful, but going to class was amazing.

DO NOT PROCRASTINATE THE HOMEWORK!! You will fail. My grade tanked from a solid A to a C+, luckily it was in the middle of the semester so I could fix it. Don't do that. He is an amazing teacher. He asks you questions that make you think and really ponder why you think what you do. He has a knack for knowing exactly what to say to the students.

I really love Brother Furgeson because of his lectures. 9/10 times I get more out of his lectures than out of church. However, there is alot of reading and he is strict with attendance.
