Prof. Freeman is awesome. This class is all about life as we know it. He really cares about what the students will take from this class to use throughout your future. He's is very educated and also a counselor. Be sure to take this instead of syg2000.

He is the coolest professor, I go to Valencia but he teaches at SCC too. HIGHLY recommend, he is alot of fun, good experience, last day of class was basically a party. Most classes are just discussions. Take-home midterm and final. I got an A and you will too if you show up!

Freeman is one of the best instuctors that I've had. He approaches the class with the students interests in mind. I thought it would be uneasy discussing the material of the class, but by the second week everyone was practically best friends. Take him, you will definately learn something from him. :-)

His midterm and final are take-home and are the only tests in the class. Overall he's a great prof and his class is always an open discussion. If you get the chance to take him, do!

Freeman ROCKS!!!! He always keeps class interesting and fun. He does alot of group activities to keep the class engaged. Mid term and Final are take home:-) Very Easy A, as long as you attend class (He grades attendence and participation very high, which is good).

Lectures very entertaining and useful. He knows what he is talking about and wants feedback. Participation is 40% of the overall grade,trust me you dont want to miss this class.

Freeman's amazing. I took him spring '09 & he totally kept my attention. He also worked with me while I was going through a crisis with my child. I made out with a B since I didn't do a paper. Freeman is awesome! Class is fun and informative. Participation is required, but who doesn't want to talk about sex anyways. Group activities and take home quizzes and tests. Very knowledgeable and keeps the class interested. Also teaches gen/dev psych, marriage and family. Take whatever you can with him. Easy A and will learn alot.

Okay to begin with I am not comfortable talk about anything related to sex, let alone during a class. But he makes it interesting and not intimadating at all. I took Mr. Freeman for Gen Psych and he rocks! I would schedule your other classes around his! Take him for all of his classes if possible. I took him for Human Sexuality and his class was off the chain. When he remembered to assign the homework it was really easy, we didn't write any papers but we did have two group projects. The only way you can fail is to do jack**** and even then it's still hard to do.

Here's the deal. If you want a fun loving teacher who doesn't always go over the material, take him. If you do, though, you'll be doing some studying on your own. He goes over powerpoints in class and such but many times seems to get derailed by students' comments. Awesome guy, not the easiest class in the world.

THE BEST! Amazing teacher-smart, funny and really cares about students! You will learn lots & have a great time. Must attend & participate in class. Only drawback is that he does not always return tests & papers quickly-I think it's on purpose, sort of a psych test to see how you handle stress. Don't hassle him, he grades really fairly, so chill.

Great teacher. I loved this class even though he doesn't go by the syllabus. He is so down to earth and teaches from the heart. I always looked forward to his class and would definately take another class instructed by him.

Very down to earth teacher who you can tell enjoys teaching this class. Doesn't follow the syllabus exactly but close enough. Only downside is he's easily distracted by student questions and bounces around on topics at times. FYI: he'll say to read "Tuesdays with Morrie" but doesn't test you or give an assignment on it.

He's a great psychologist and professor. Regularly goes off topic and were pretty far behind in the class right now but he gets you interested. Read his power points he provides online to prepare for the upcoming classes the book helps but I wasnt very interested in reading it.

Professor Freeman is very nice and he is a well educated professor. He often uses real world examples in his teaching which makes it very easy to remember the material. This class is very group oriented and he allows people to get to know eachother. I really enjoyed his Gen Psych class and I will be taking all of this psych classes.

Freeman is a good teacher. He's funny, knows his stuff, and is willing to help you out. However, the class is chatty. Deadlines kept getting pushed back, and we didn't cover all of the material as well as we might have.

Very good professor. I learned a lot in his class. I'm not interested in Psychology, but it is required for my degree. Dr. Freeman made it enjoyable. He encourages class participation, group project, outside activity. Two papers, one movie and one research. A few quizzes, a mid-term and a final. Encouraged interactions and didn't allow chaos.

Professor Freeman made the class fun. It didnt even feel like a class since students get to discuss. He does lecture but it is not boring at all and he makes what he teaches relevant to real life situations. There is a group project, movie paper, and quizzes. They are all fairly easy. As long as you study chapters in the book you should pass.

There were inconsistencies, but it was a very fun and informative class overall. He never collected any of the homework and the quizzes could get annoying, but all the discussion days were golden (which were all but maybe 4 days).

Dr. Freeman is the professor you need if you're looking for lots of fun, discussion based learning. You'll get a homework or 2 that he usually grades for completion, take home quizzes, take home finals, and a paper. He's charismatic, knowledgeable, and kind. You don't know your grade until the end of the sem, but you can ask anytime. TAKE HIM NOW!!

Professor Freeman is a very caring guy. This class is pretty simple. As long as you go to class and copy his notes easy A! His tests are mostly based off of his notes and he does expect you to read the textbook. So if you want someone simple take this class! UNORGANIZED! Interrupts. Tells you one chapter is covered on the tests and quizzes and then when you take them, there are several other chapters too. Impossible tests. Changes due dates for everything . Doesn't let you know where you stand grade-wise until the last day! Nice funny guy, but too unorganized to be a good teacher.

Actually made class enjoyable, makes it very interesting to learn. Not many tests, and only had one paper that was about a movie. One group project, and he wasn't a hard grader either, he just wants you to read the book and if you do that and listen to lectures you'll be fine! Would take his class over again many times.

All our tests were online with one big research paper and 2 group presentations. Overall, I wasn't too impressed nor dissatisfied with his class. If he's an option, take him.

Prof Freeman's class was easily my favorite the semester I took him. His stories were funny and relevant and he explained things clearly. He utilized videos and discussion. The book is recommended but NOT mandatory to pass. I cracked it open once. A majority of quizzes and tests were given online.

You do nothing during almost the entire term, except a midterm. The last 3 weeks, he springs stuff on you. A 7 page research paper, a group project (you have a week to do it), quizzes online, and a final. Came out of nowhere, be prepared. You also end up with only 8 grades in the gradebook so don't mess up. Got a 23/25 on one and have a 92 ...:(

Professor Freeman is hilarious. His lectures are easy to follow along and he makes them interesting. All quiz's, test, exams and homework are online. You were supposed to read each chapter at home, but no one really did and he knew it. Just show up, take notes and pay attention.

Very few grades so make every one count Reading is optional but I strongly suggest doing it

Pink Zebras... You'll get it after you take the class. He is intelligent, funny and genuinely cares about his students and the subject he teaches. Show up every day because "he" deserves students that want to be there. If I had to rate this class based on sleepy kittens, he would get five sleepy kittens; which is the most you can get!

This class was an easy A. Do the work and you'll get an A. I literally turned in assignments late, like 2 or 3 weeks after the due date and he still gave me full credit. I am super thankful for having such a great, and understanding professor. I would definitely take again.

He was a REALLY good teacher. Lectures were amazing. But DO read the textbook. The tests are out of there. He takes forever to grade homework, though, because he owns a practice. And he sometimes posts the test before the class finishes a chapter, don't take it until he finishes the lesson.

Dr. Freeman is an amazing professor. Has his own clinical practice outside of teaching so he really gives good insight into abnormal psych. Little homework, and when he does assign it its really simple stuff, like 10 questions with answers found in the book. Only one paper and its a fun one to write. Probably one of my favorite teachers Ive ever had, I took all the classes I could from him. Hes not just a teacher that expects you to take notes and pass a test, he wants to make sure you really get what hes teaching and cares about you as well as your grade.

I took Freeman for PSY now taking him for both Clinical PSY and Developmental PSY! He loves class discussion and will always use real life refrences which helps a lot! Quizes and HW are online and you are normally given a week to finish the assignments. By far my favorite teacher ever!

Great professor! All assignments and tests are online with the exception of one group project. Not that tough of a grader, however he takes forever to actually grade things and put them in. He is an amazing teacher and the lectures are very interesting. If you hate boring lectures this guy is definitely for you because his are actually interesting.

Freeman is a very nice, funny and chill professor. He uses powerpoint for his lectures and goes into great detail so you really understand it. He gives a lot of examples and most of them are really funny and relatable. All of the quizzes and exams are through canvas. Really easy and fun class, I definitely recommend.

Tests werent too difficult, assignments are basically HW question that come from chapters in the textbook (u can get the txt book online to save $). Overall this was an easy class and I would genuinely recommend it.

This professor hands down is by far the best. if you don't want to listen to boring lectures? then this is your guy, his are so interesting and very amusing most of the time. All of the work is online (quizzes, hw etc.) you'll have to use the textbook and read the chapters. I would highly recommend taking his class!

Due to COVID19 there was not much interaction. There are a lot of assignments that require access to the online textbook. There is a major psychological/diagnostic analysis paper due at the end of the semester. You must know APA.

Hes really a great prof. If you engage then hell be super helpful and friendly. Really no difficult tests or quizzes- all on Canvas. Hes really funny and makes class interesting. I would totally take this class again

Freeman is my favorite professor of all time. I took him years ago and often think back on the things that he taught me. His lectures are interesting and often interactive. He is so incredibly caring and made a big impact on my life. If you get the chance, take any of his courses and take in what he has to teach you.

great professor, would have a laugh with us and make class fun. heavy reading but you can expect that in any psychology class.

He is funny, caring, and just a great professor. Always is kinds, he articulates ideas in a way that is easy to understand. His use of metaphors and analogies allows the ideas to be easily understood. Makes PSY fun and not boring! Put the work in and you will do good. Freeman understands personal issues and is willing to help if you ask.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Mr. Freeman he is an absolute sweetheart and makes class so fun! He's funny and entertaining with his lectures and I truly was always engaged in his class. Weekly assignments but super easy. Few tests but also super easy and open note. I couldn't be more content with him and will be taking him again! Highly recommend!

Love Professor Freeman, this class was online but I loved him in person and the lectures were the best. Super genuine guy who really cares about you learning. For online try not to be late on assignments because he takes off points. Other than that great class with super interesting material. Easy A if you do everything on time and with effort.

Dr Freeman was awesome. I took him for my gen psych class and he was one of the best professors I've ever had. Class is all about discussion and it's very open. If we ask him he postpones assignments and he doesn't grade for weeks at a time so work can be turned in at any time. I'd take Dr. Freeman for every class if I could

Amazing professor.

By far favorite teacher I've had my entire life. Incredibly understanding ensures you understand the material and wants you to pass the class. casually pushes things back when you need and a very easy A. Makes it very easy you come to class aswell.

I like professor freeman, he was a little late to grade everything but I didn't mind it. He assigns a couple assignments a week but they're not hard and easy to complete and the tests are easy as well. I received a C because I didn't finish the final paper.

Professor Freeman made psychology interesting. I was never bored in his class and always looked forward to his lectures. I learned a lot from him and would definitely have him again as a professor.

His class was a typical psych class, he accepted late work for 10% less each day and that came in super handy this semester

Dr. Freeman was the best professor I've had in a long time. it was my first ever psychology class and it did not disappoint. he is the sweetest guy ever. his class is very easy, its mostly just lectures, if you take notes and study you'll pass easily. The homework is online but it's quite simple.

Awesome professor. Created a comfortable environment for lots of discussions during class which I loved because we were able to talk about current issues and relate experiences in our own lives to the material. Homework due once or twice a week but very easy. He does not grade very often which might be frustrating but he does grade generously.

Professor Freeman is truly inspirational and an amazing teacher. He ensures that his students understand what he is giving a lecture on, while also giving real life examples. Questions and responses from the class are encouraged, as he gives genuinely insightful answers to all of them. If you are interested in psychology at all I highly recommend.

Professor Freeman is an absolute gem - his lectures are engaging, and he genuinely cares about students' learning. The workload is manageable, and tools like unstuck study make exam prep a breeze. A+, would definitely take again!

Dr. Freeman is the best professor I've taken. This was an in person class, (ive heard online is boring). He cares about you, and if you pass. He gives you ample time to do your assignments, is very nonchalant about tests and exams, and bought us pizza on the last day. This is my third time taking him and if he taught more classes id take them.

This was hands down the best psych teacher I've had. his lectures really fill you in on stuff you're actually going to need in the future rather than just filler things. He's was so nice and understanding when I was having personal issues and offered to help me on assignments. His classes fill up quick so take his class if you get a chance! :)

Professor Freeman was a wonderful professor that made every lecture a fun experience, he makes sure to include different students in his lectures whenever he can. There is a textbook included but it's free and you can access it online. He genuinely wants you to pass and offers help on assignments. I would take him again if I could!
