very helpful!
Scott challenged our minds to think about this oxymoronic topic throughout the semester. I was not a Bus. major, but took this class thinking it was interesting. You'll learn to think critically!
Pretty chill teacher, although he hates disruptions. I thought I would hate the class, but the discussions were interesting.
A really nice, fun teacher. He really tries to get you to understand the subject material. Sometimes he goes off on tangents, but thats always a good thing, especially in this type of class.
I gave my opinion on ratings online.com .Nevertheless, he is GREAT! I like him a lot. He is a tough grader, and could answer e-mails for a change.Gives homework, doesn't grade it.Likes discussions. He is fun. I want to date the guy!!!
philosophy of love and sex - an interesting class anyway, but he made it fun and captivating. I agree with the last posting. If he hadn;t just gotten married, I'd be intrigued. Difficult tests, but fun class.
a VERY good professor and the most dynamic professor I've had at CSUF. Very funny and very smart.
Good teacher. can get repetitive but its ok. he is very set in his ways so dont try to convince him to postpone due dates or move tests back even though the whole class isnt ready. he does grade on a curve so thats the best part.
Funny, entertaining, & overall great professor to have, especially for Phil 325. Doesn't answer emails, but does call you back in a timely matter. Homework is reading responses. You'll do well if you attend classes, pay attention, & do all your reading. Only problem: grade based on test scores ONLY
this class was interesting and he is very funny, but his grading scale is a bit tough. you really have to know what you are talking about if you hope to do well in this class.
He really gets into his lectures. You must attend class and be able to write essays to do well. Gives you essay questions before each exam. A funny guy!
He's very opinionated in this class, has a stereotypical view of women. You can't miss class, he bases tests on lecture, gets mad about people missing class, just tries to act cool. I regret taking this class, someone convinced me to. He lecturers a lot, must write everything down, lecturer okay.
If you dont want to work dont take this class! He lectures forever and when he grades your essays he is obsessive about completeness. He wants all the in depth details that he does not talk about in class. He comes off as a sweet guy but good luck if you think that you can talk to him about anything
Took during intersession...write down EVERYTHING he says. Interesting class...hard grader: based on 2 tests - study 16 topics and then he chooses 4 of them that you write essays on - about 1 pg each. Also turn in a 1 pg reaction paper each meeting. I didn't do any reading and expect an A.
He is a very cool teacher. No homework, only tests and a paper.
he is interesting, but i think he has a terrible grading system. he also does not respond to email or phone calls. he is not accepting of students opinons. he also gives exams and does not show up for class the day before the exam.
Make sure to take good notes in class, and read the material. The exams are easy as long as you did the reading and payed attention...you basically just have to summarize what you read and what he said...even better, he gives you the essay questions before hand, so you can study them before the actual exam.
Not a class to take if you've never taken Philosphy classes before. Must keep up with the reading even if you don't understand it. Barely passed class.
not a good teacher, doesnt show up... ALOT! test are out of control, doesnt answer questions, lectures are so borring i could just DIE. dont take him you would be better off finding someone else or just taking a different class. you will thank me!
Scott isn't all that bad for honors critical thinking. He seems easy at first but then things pick up and it gets much harder, if you complain he just says, "It's an honors class." and leaves it at that. Seems to like the subject/class. Gives hard and long tests that you have to watch the clock on in order to finish. Grades essays just as hard.
Awful, boring, rants, old school, typical dominant male viewpoint. Unbending, and seems to not like questions from students. His grading leaves much to be desired. In class now and no one is happy with last test grades, hard to figure out what he's saying and what he wants for an answer, extremely vague. Take my advice, don't take this man.

Lectures on the boring side, even though he seems passionate about the subject. Has hard time staying on track with syllabus. Essay tests, allows 1 pg. of notes, outside sources needed for well rounded response to essay Q. Student questions/discussion disrupts flow - doesn't like them. 1 paper-at least 12 pgs- difficult knowing what he wants.
He'll lower your GPA, so if you care, don't take his classes. He complains about class size, anyway. Unclear, mediocre lectures, tests impossible to score high in, has a chip on his shoulder.
Will give you the unexpected for no one knows what he expects on homework or answers in essay exams so good luck on your scores, egoist, vague, mediocre lectures. Not recommended.
All you need to do to ace this class is: go to class, listen, take notes, and actually do what he says to do for the test. FILL the WHOLE PAGE of the blue book cover for the test notes, complete and detailed. Write really small. It'll be a lifesaver. That's how I pulled an A. Everyone else was just too lazy to prep their books. It only takes an hr.
Pure lecture-no discussion. How can he know if students are getting what he wants without discussion? Goes off on tangents all the time too. Unclear on what was supposed to be learned from class and he is virtually impossible to contact outside of class time. Not recommended
I don't know why everyone is complaining about Scott's lectures - I though they were great. He's interesting and funny. Sometimes he goes off on wierd topics, but usually his tangents are entertaining, so I didn't mind.
I swear i have never fallen asleep in any class in my life...except this one. Very hard to learn when it is just lecture and tangents about his "cute" kid. I'd take this class again to get a better grade...with a different teacher.
This class is very interesting and quite funny, even in his tangents. I was always really entertained, and he taught me to look at things in a new way
I enjoyed Prof. Galloway's lectures but it took me a while to understand the point of the class! As long as you read go to class and take good notes you should be alright. I got Bs and A- on the exams which I worked my butt off for but the last paper we wrote for the final secured an A-. hes a tough but grader compared to 302 this class was nothing
I enjoyed his class, the material and the approach he used to lecture kept you into the subject. You can't fake this class, if you don't do the work don't bother taking it. Being a philosophy major I naturally enjoyed the material, but I noticed a number of non-majors actually getting into it.
He's really interested in topic. He gives you 8 questions that you can write notes to on the inside of your blue book and then only asks 4 of them. If you take good notes, then you're good to go. Also I recommend you do the short response papers he asks for because I rarely went to class but I turned those in which shows him you're involved still.
I regularly went to this class every week because it was really interesting, and that NEVER HAPPENS. You need to buy a book of articles that won't set you back much, and there are 3 bluebook exams (3 essays each exam) and a response paper for a certain article every week or so. Fair grader, and he's extremely helpful if you visit his office hours.
This Professor missed 3 classes ... 2 of which I drove an hour before finding out he was sick and didn't have time to notify class. Because we don't all know art the way HE believes we should FEEL it, grading is VERY hard. There were many inferences of the sexuality of the paintings and it began to bother me through the semester.
Loved this class! Scott's lectures are funny, as he talks about his own relationship experiences. 3 essay exams: he gives you a list of 10 questions to study and he picks 3. You can write all the notes you want, on the inside cover of the bluebook to refer to. Reading is beneficial for weekly papers, but they don't help your grade. Fun subject! :)
Good teeacher hard to understand sometimes. Helpful when you go to his office. Attendance is not mandatory. 3 blue book exams of the reader that he lectures on. Interesting class would definitely recommend.
People here have said his lectures are boring. Well hello! If you don't like philosophy, don't take it! The good: Clear speaker, funny, allows notes on tests. The bad: All lecture- hardly asks student opinions, interrupts when you speak, only 3 major assignments (two tests, one paper- so if you fail one, you can't get an A). Interesting class!
He complains that our tests scores are poor........isn't that a reflection of him?? obviously, we are not understanding what he's talking about. I can't believe people are allowed to major in philosophy? What a useless career, very self indulgent!! do something for humanity!!!
DO NOT take this class if you are looking for an A. Only like a couple ppl got an A's on the tests & in the class and I usually get A's. Tests are essays and if you don't show up for class you wont do well. His lectures are everywhere and the only notes you have to help you with the test are the ones you take. I wish I hadn't taken this class!
Don't take this class if you want an easy A, don't feel like thinking, or have no interest in philosophy. Do the reading assignments and take thorough, clear notes. He allows one page of notes for the essay exams, so the more you write down, the better prepared you will be! You will learn a lot if you participate and pay attention.
He is a tough grader. 3 essay tests and weekly review writings. You really have to keep up with the readings otherwise you're not guaranteed a passing grade. Take another prof. if you can!! Stay away! Load of Readings! Your essay exam response must word exactly what he wanted, which he never told us. Would NOT recommend!!!
Not an easy A, but and easy B if you do the work. He gives assignments through out the semester but only to help in rounding your final grade. you buy the book somewhere else so you can't sell it back. Tough grader, 3 blue book tests. Take good notes and you will be fine
Class is interesting and Scott's an interesting teacher. You do one article from textbook summary weekly. His tests on the other hand, impossible to get an A. At least he curves. Tests are out of 30, 10 per each essay. Even with notes allowed on inside cover, getting a 10 on his essay is the equivalent of making angels weep. Easy to get a B!
This class was REALLY boring. He's a really nice professor though. Article summaries due every week, one midterm, and one final. He allowed notes on the inside front cover of the blue book which is really helpful. Although attendance isn't mandatory, it is a must if you want to understand the material and actually pass the class.
The class was indeed boring. It was partly due to the fact that participation wasn't required: just a midterm, 6-10 page paper, and final. Typically, upper division classes require discussion, but because it wasn't, I was apathetic. This was the first class where I came away and not know any of my peers' names, even though the class was small.
First off, Galloway is a creepy professor. Second, it is such a boring class! There was no class participation and he made people feel dumb when they asked a question. He graded the 3 written exams inconsistently. He marked things wrong that I took directly from what he said in class! He was not a big help when I emailed him either. Dont take him.
He seems like a cool guy, but dont be tricked the first day. He tells a lot of stories but is a verrrrry hard garder and never explains what he wants in quizzes. He says he drops 2 homeworks, but you dont even get graded on homework so its useless. 1/3 grade is quizzes, 1/3 on paper, 1/3 on final. PLEASE don't get tricked into staying. Boring class
A personable guy, heavily teaches from the book by talking non-stop with himself for the full hour and 15 minutes. Doing the homework doesn't seem to help understand the material much unfortunately, from which he'll parrot in class. 1-on-1 he's terrific and will spend time with different approaches to learning. Hard to stay awake in the lecture.
This class is extremely boring. I fell asleep at least once a week in this class. He tells so many stories which are sometimes interesting but he is not very clear on the material that he teaches. If you want to get a good grade in the class then you have to attend because the material that you read doesnt make much sense.
I LOVED scott. He is really funny and keeps things interesting even in a boring subject. the only hw is 1 one pg writing piece a week. if you do all but 2 he gives you extra credit and there are only 3 tests all in essay form. if you get 1 A and 2 B's you get an A in the class... I recommend taking him! he makes class fun and puts in his own humor
Fun guy and an interesting class. Even with attending all the classes and doing the reading I still received a C. I found it to be difficult, but interesting at the same time. I'm not upset with my grade, it was a difficult class.
He's an amazing lecturer and I received a fairly high grade without even reading the text. Galloway inspires.
all lecture!! so be prepared for a lot of talking and just sitting there and listening! I found it hard to stay awake although the topic seemed interesting. he is very passionate about the subject and tries to make it as interesting. weekly papers to help boost your grade was a plus. READ or else u will not pass the exams. study guides were helpful
I went to class a whooping 8 out 15 class meets.I, along with many others thought it was going to be an interesting discussion class, but it was 100% lecture, no room for participation & this guy can't just stay on topic. He made what could have been a fun class a REALLY MISERABLE time.
this class was so interesting. Professor Galloway is really funny too! Take good notes. The text is a must in order to do well on the tests. The study guides are helpful and there are one page papers every week to help boost your grade if it's borderline. It is a philosophy so it does make you think. Not an easy A but i enjoyed the class overall.
Even though he doesn't take attendance, go to class! And take notes! The class is strictly lecture so it's hard to stay awake, but if you can you should be fine. He grades the exams pretty tough, but I had the notes from class and did fine. Hardest part of this class is convincing yourself to go everyday.
Scott is the best professor I've ever had! Took him at FJC. He is so funny and entertaining with his lectures and engages VERY well with students! Really gets you to think, take his class if it interests you! Curves tests but it is incredibly difficult to get an A. Consistently scored second highest in the class and received 2 B+ and 1 A-.
This teacher is hilarious! One page paper due every week, but not graded so you can just write BS. Tests are 3 essays, or 2 essays & 10 MC, tests are moderately difficult, but if you go to class and pay attention you'll be fine. Hardest part is knowing the standpoint on the different philosophers. Text is hard to read that's why class is essential.
Average class. I think I had higher expectations for it, but it was not he worst class that I have taken. The subject is rather interesting. The readings are not too complex. The class mainly consists of lecture with little participation. Sometimes it could get a little boring. Tests are not too difficult but Professor Galloway is a tough grader.
He was cool. He assigns reading responses out of the book, but he doesn't read them, they are creditno credit. Do them tho cuz they help on the exams, which are essay format &he is really picky. He takes forever to grade also. He's funny, talks about sex a lot. Doesn't really reply to email, go to his office hours. Class is basically lecture&exams
Scott's incredibly intelligent. If you actually pay attention, you'll really enjoy coming to class. If you take him, try engaging in his lectures & you'll see how interesting it is. This class is no doubt, put in the effort & you'll get out what you put in. Only 3 blue book exams- if you do the optional weekly papers, he'll round your overall grade
Professor Galloway is super entertaining and funny yet I admit dozing off in class a couple times. I didn't take the class too seriously once I discovered how hard it is to get an A. Still easy to pass if you do well on the tests. Do the homework, there's one assignment per week. I got a B despite missing class several times.
I personally did not like this class. He talks a lot about his life. The professor also is confusing during the lecture. The class wasn't mandatory and he lets you have notes during the test.
Scott is a chill professor. Attendance is not mandatory but you will definitely need the notes to prepare for exams. You can read your notes in the exams. Only 3 exams and he gives study guides which includes the exam questions. One page paper weekly (extra credit). He uses a weird way to curve so it is easy to pass but very hard to get an A-.
Scott's lectures are funny, interesting, and accurate. However, for a 100 level class, you need to actually work for your grade. I went in as a Phil major about to finish my degree, so I didn't think a 100 class would challenge me at all. I didn't really try on my first exam and ended up getting a B, so I had to amp it up to get my A in the class.
Quiz every week. Hard grader and super picky. Goes off topic a lot, never finishes lecturing on time. FInal is worth like 50% of grader. Wouldn't rec unless you are good at only taking tests.
One of my fav teachers. Class is just lectures so pay attention. Attendance is not required but you should go because he explains the hard to read philosophical stuff really good. Tests are pretty easy if you take good notes. Phil isn't my major but I still got an A. I would definitely take another class w him
had to read a good amount, and wrote 10 one page papers for homework throughout semester. TOUGH GRADER for essay test questions. BE VERY THOROUGH. HOWEVER, allows a page of notes for each test. HEAVY LECTURE CLASSES, but if you like controversial topics and seek to fulfill a GE, go for it.
I would not recommend this class at all. He's a funny guy, but is disorganized. Students don't find out their final grade in the class until ONE MONTH AFTER THE SEMESTER ENDS, which is ridiculous. You never know the grade you get on the exams so you never know what to improve on. Every week there's a one page paper to write and expect 2-3 exams.
people in the comments below that said his tests are "hard" are what you call the "lazy, want to get by by doing absolutely nothing" type of students. Professor Galloway is so hilarious! He lectures with deep passion and knowledge of the subject and makes the class fun! Study guide is exactly what is on the test! 10 one-page summaries and 3 exams.
I enjoyed his class! Learned a lot. Grade is based on written exams. He is a tough grader. Only one person would get an A on an exam each time.
Professor Galloway is a very good teacher, and works hard to help every student. He wants each student to earn the best grade possible. He is fair when it comes to measuring both effort and correctness. His lectures are really fun, clear, and easy to understand. He makes an almost 4 hour class go by fast. The tests are hard, so study weekly.
One of the best professors I've had, I wasn't going to take it due to the reviews on here. But I'm glad I didn't listen. As long as you attend class you will do good on the exams, plus he lets us use one page of notes. Scott is a hilarious professor and makes philosophy interesting, I wish I could take him again. Really recommend him.
He mostly just speaks during lecture times and attendance is not required but if you want most of the information on exams you should show up. You only have two exams but he gives you the questions before hand and you are allowed to have notes inside your blue book. He just talks a lot during lectures, which can be really boring.
You'll pass with a B (he curves) if you put in the effort or are good at writing. Pay attention and be prepared to take notes, you'll learn a lot. Online writing assignments based on the readings are easy, as long as you turn in the work, you'll get 100% credit, so make sure not to miss any, it'll help tremendously with your grades.
He's a good prof & gives lots of examples to get you to understand. However, he tends to go off topic so he'd be teaching until the very last second of class. Theres a one page paper due every week on readings but he doesn't really grade them hard so the grade is based off the midterm and final. I'd take his class again bc he's friendly & welcoming
Professor Galloway (call him Scott) was definitely one of the funniest teachers at CSUF. Has the passion to teach philosophy and shows his knowledge of the field. 3 essays make up 95 % of your grade. 10 one page summaries are used to determine a curve in your grade, so you should do them. Heavy reading. Overall a great select. Highly recommend.
This is not an easy A, but I would still take him again. Although he is a tough grader, the lectures are interesting and will make you actually want to show up to class.
Galloway was funny as hell. He's a chill, seemingly open-minded dude who cusses a little. Lectures were very detailed and interesting to listen to. He makes you want to actually attend the lectures. He was, however, a hard grader when it came to exams. I never went to office hours but I should have. I'd recommend him, but not if you want a simple A
Scott lectures every class and includes funny stories and jokes, but the subject matter was a little boring at times. You have to read an article almost every week and write a page on it but he only grades them if your grade is borderline at the end. 2 midterms and a final that are fairly easy if you understand the topics.
Scott is so funny he makes the class great. He makes you write a one page paper every week but you could write it in another language and he wouldn't notice. Just pay attention and write as much as you can about what he's saying for the exams and you'll be set. 3 exams and a paper every week was so easy.
One of the funniest professors I've ever taken. His stories and jokes made the 3 hour night class bearable. He only grades you based on 3 exams and assigns weekly papers based on articles, which isn't mandatory but helps a lot with understanding the abstract concepts. The class was very very lecture and reading heavy but I def learned a lot
Great professor, I thought that it would be a hard class but it was so interesting and I learned so much. I took the class for one of my General courses and almost didnt take the class because of the reviews. The class is based on an essay every week and reading. But the most importatn part if the 3 tests. Notes are in class, not posted online.
Gets into detail about his topics. Jut show up and take notes, he does not post any type of PowerPoint so all the information comes from lectures. He gives you the questions for the midterm before hand and you can answer them and use it for the tests, so it is easy if you use the material that he talked about and went over
He is such a fun person but his lectures are boring. You have to really pay attention to each lecture and take good notes. There is a midterm and final and that is all that goes in the grade book. In order to good in the class, you have to really impress him with your work which is very difficult.
He's hilarious and a very knowledgeable person. However, he is a tough grader. There is three tests total. If you truly want an A in his class, I recommend reading all of the readings and going to his office hours.
Hes hilarious but also kinda weird. He makes his lectures really fun and interesting. Graded by 3 test and he picks out 3 questions from the study guide and you have to write a detailed response to them. Its really easy as long as you pay attention and take good notes. 10/10 on of the easiest professors
I LOVED Galloways lectures. He is a super funny dude that always tries to add personal stories to make what he is teaching more relatable and easier to understand. His stories always make the lectures easier to sit through and I was never bored. He barely gives any assignments and if he did they were super easy. Also very lenient with attendance.
All around great guy with inspiring lectures. As for exams, he gives you 10 questions based on his lectures and he picks 3 for you to write about on test day. Only suggestion I have is allow the class to participate more. Even though we were in a small classroom it felt more like a speech than a discussion.
Very kind professor who uses humor in this lectures. Very disorganized and unprepared. Weekly reading assignments. He does not use PowerPoints and writes all his lectures on the board. Lots of tangents. Tough grader. Was behind on units throughout entire semester. Cancelled classes without email. Does not use titanium. All exams are open note essay
Super interesting lectures and funny. He is an incredibly hard grader. Your grade is based solely on 3 tests, but he gives you the questions before hand and picks 3. I consider myself a good writer and have always gotten As in English, but got Bs on all tests. You have to go above and beyond on the 3 questions he picks for the test. Not an easy A.
Your grade is almost exclusively from essay tests. Sometimes, the only comments on essays are "wrong!" and "no". How am I supposed to improve without real feedback? Lots of reading, but it's all photocopies that aren't always clear (fuzzy, poor copy quality). Goes off on tangents a lot during lectures. But at least he's friendly?
Weekly reflection papers off of the reading which really arent bad at all. His class does get kinda boring but for the midterms and final exam he gives you the questions a week prior so you can study. All three of these exams are 3 hrs long and writing 3 essays. Didnt go to class but still passed because of having the questions ahead of time.
Your grade is based solely on two midterms and a final. He gives you 10 essay questions to prepare for each exam, but only asks 3 of the 10. Allows a cheat sheet when the class is in person. For an online class I recommend writing all 10 essays and just copying and pasting your essays for whatever questions he ends up using.
His lectures are really fun and very interesting, I enjoyed them a lot. He's very funny and makes the material easy to understand. Your grade is basically just three written exams and nothing else, and he's a pretty tough grader but he grades on a curve. I do recommend him!
Book is mandatory for the readings as you will have to do a weekly writing assignment. Make sure you attend the lectures although they are kind of hard to watch as the professor rambles on about his sex-life in his youth. I was excited to take this class but it was very... "eh". Exam's and quizzes were based on the readings and lectures.
I was excited to take this class but a lot of the material is disorganized and can only be found in his own textbook. The textbook itself is somewhat difficult to read since its just photocopies. The professor makes a lot of "jokes" and does not handle the material with care. If you are sensitive to offensive humor, take another class.
Scott is the best professor I have had in my college career. I wish he taught more classes. He is a very tough grader. Very funny, and very passionate about the subject. Grade is based solely on 3 essay exams. There were only 5 people who got higher scores than me on each exam, and I still got B, he grades on a curve.
Lectures are extremely long, since I took it online. Test material depends on lecture. Doesnt require attendance. 3 tests and you have a paper to write every week. You dont need a textbook, but just get ready to be presented with lots and lots of info
I took this class online and it was very difficult. The book he uses is confusing and he lets you know on the first day how frustrating the class is. There is 1 homework assignment and 1 quiz a week. Your grade is based off of the extremely hard quizzes he gives. The average class score on almost all quizzes are at least 50% or lower.
The homework and quizzes are extremely frustrating. The homework he assigns has little to do with the lectures he teaches and you are just left stumped. He doesn't grade any of your assignments so your grade is always below 50% throughout the semester. He speaks in a code whenever he grades so you never know what you did wrong.
I took this class online thinking it would be easy because it's a 105 class. His lectures were very dull and he would make ignorant comments. His tests were so difficult, even when I had the lecture slides on the side. Why is philosophy including letters of P1 and p2?
This class is graded on your quizzes and final. He assigns homework but they do not count for credit. He is a very tough grader and the feedback he gives is in code so it is very hard to understand. Terrible at communication, does not respond to emails at all. Tried to reach out multiple times and got zero response.
The class is based on quizzes and a final. Homework is assigned but is not for credit. The quizzes are incredibly hard and he gives little to no feedback. I watched the lectures and studied for the quizzes but consistently got around a 4-5/6 (average quiz score was always less than 50%). Would not recommend this class. I'm surprised I even passed.
I advise anyone to stay away from this professor, he talks nonstop every class with little to no class participation. Very hard grader and doesn't give opportunities besides three exams to change your grade. Also expect little to no feedback on your exams, you should just know what he wants
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!! You will learn nothing and not pass!!!
DO NOT TAKE HIM! Takes forever to grade exams (grade is based on 3 exams), is a tough grader, and you have to write a page paper on the readings a week. He doesn't give good feedback and the lectures are extremely boring. Do not take this course as an elective! If you're a Philosophy major... I am sorry.
Extremely unprofessional teacher. Obnoxiously long monologues with no input from students. Is unclear on what he wants from students on writing exams and grades like the class were an upper division course.
The first day he told us that he "doesn't give out A's" in this course. The average for the midterm and exam (where all the points came from) was 80%, and the highest grade was 85%. He mentioned curving grades but did not when he input them into the grade book. Not even Kant would get an A in this class...
This professor was ok but was very lecture-heavy and would have weekly papers that were due every Wednesday. there are only 3 exams and your grade is basically based on those exams and would only use the paper if your border closes to a higher grade. If you can find a better professor but if you have no other choose then he's okay
The class is brutally challenging, with quizzes that are near-impossible to ace. However, using resources like unstuck AI alongside the textbook can help you get through it. Attendance is a must, but the lectures are dry.
This class is NOT for the faint of heart. Difficult/confusing subject matter taught by a professor who may bore you with his lectures. Extremely tough grader on quizzes, the only graded thing besides the final; curves the class for this reason. Was available after class for questions and overall friendly guy. But I'm not sure if I would recommend.
If u have other options for a prof, do urself a favor & don't choose this guy! He is a very tough grader, ur grade is based on quizzes only, but he does curve at the end of the sem, thankfully. Lectures are incredibly dull and go off topic the majority of the time.
Reviews describe a very tough grader whose classes rely almost entirely on difficult quizzes or exams with little feedback. Lectures are dull, disorganized, and often off-topic. Communication is poor, workload heavy, expectations unclear, and many students leave feeling frustrated and unsure of what they learned.
He makes a lot of sexual jokes like a lot. It's a little uncomfortable especially if you are a female but the work is easy.
Overall nice guy but does not know how to lecture whatsoever, attempts to lecture but ends up rambling and just telling stories, making it confusing on when to take notes. Only graded by weekly quizzes, and the final. Huge curve at the end because nobody does good on the quizzes nor the final. Taking this class is like playing Russian roulette.
