Dr. Greenwood is the best prof I've ever had. He's incredibly intelligent, helpful and interesting. His number one goal is making sure his students learn and understand the material. He is very accessible in and out of class. If you have the opportunity, take him!!

Dr. G is the most informative and most approachable professor at CSUSM. He is very knowledgeable towards Middle East politics and is fair towards research methods. Do not take Dr. Bass for 301, take Dr. G. He is the man.

Great prof. After I took 301 I was able to test why the soviet union fell. Great personality and very approachable. Makes Research Methods tolerable (which is difficult). GO PADRES!

Lots of writing in his class (total 36 - 48 pages of paper). If you like writing than take this class. If you are like me not crazy about it, do NOT take this class. Overall he is a very knowledgeable Prof. very helpful if you ask for it.

Very respectful. Even when people make RIDICULOUS comments, he answers them in a way that makes you feel like it wasnt a bad thing to ask. Class is kinda tough, going to class is very helpful. He goes over all the questions. Great guy!

Honestly, Professor Greenwood is one of my favorite professors. He is a really good teacher; he keeps the material interesting, he's funny and smart. There's no homework for this class... except reading. You don't really have to read as long as you go to class and listen. There are two midterms and a final... the midterms are ridiculously easy!

Dr. Greenwood is a really nice guy. He is approachable and seems to really care about his students. Lots of reading but definetly worth it if you want to do well on the exam. I would definetly reccommend this professor.

I have taken most of his classes. I worked hard for him and i passed all his classes. But as a person he is full of crap. He is the worst professor there. Avoid him at all cost. I am not lying, trust me, he doesnt care about you he acts like he is the king of all kings and his word is always correct. Trust me avoid this Smurf.

Great professor! Don't judge him when you find he's married to Professor McGuire, he is so much better a teacher than his wife! Very approachable and funny. Just do your reading and you will be fine. He really likes you to participate in class, so make sure you raise your hand!

Class was interesting. Midterm & final are essay questions and have to turn in two papers -- hurt some students who are not strong writers. But if you can write clearly, it's an easy 'A'.

Great professor if you actually come to college because you enjoy and want to learn. The bad comments this guy is getting are most likely coming from lazy people that are disappointed that he sometimes requires you to do the ready. I don't blame him. Overall one of the best professors i have had.

actually learned a lot in this class despite how uninterested in the topic i was. you have to be willing to participate in this class! if he knows you, you'll pass. NO ESSAYS (besides the short ones on the tests). dont have to read. just do the study questions before a test & he gives you exactly what the essay question answers are.

GREAT PROFESSOR. One of the best political science teachers at CSUSM. I have taken numerous classes with this professor and never once had a bad experience. Disregard all the bitter/ negative comments. Yes, if you want to be lazy and waste your college tuition, and not get an education then don't take his class because you will fail.

His homework is always just chapters from the book or reading online articles. All you did in class was discussed about the homework readings. The more you participate in class, the higher your grade is. There was a few writing assignments but they were really easy. And he started giving us quizzes to make sure we actually read the chapters.

He is a great professor. Really knows his ME History. I appreciated his patience for students that don't know anything about the ME. The entire class is based off of 3 novels. Easy to digest, but come prepared to class to ask questions and participate. Attendance and reading is a must. Overall, really approachable and respectable guy.

PSCI 390 is on Syria and was an amazing class. REALLY gonna miss it. Learned so much. Great discussions and very insightful!! So necessary. Prof Greenwood is great! Relaxed, understanding, gets along well with students. We read three (not text) books. Three short essay exams plus the final, which are (short) essays based on the last two books!

Professor Greenwood is the best! I learned a lot from the class and he is so helpful! Highly recommend to take him! Great lectures and encourages discussion. He's there for his students and if you are having trouble just go in and see him and he will help. :)

Greenwood is the beat professor out there. Highly recommend taking a class with him. Hes very easy to talk to assignments are easy and clear just make sure you read/skim the readings. He basically wants everyone to pass no homework and just a couple short exams. Lectures are easy to understand. Any class Greenwood teaches you should take it!

Professor Greenwood is a great instructor. I learned an amazing amount of information in just 16 weeks during his course. There were 3 textbooks and we read them all, BE PREPARED TO READ, there are NO SHORTCUTS. He is a fair grader and wants you to succeed. He takes attendance, but it is not mandatory. You will miss a lot of info if you skip class.

He gives you the answers he wants for exams. It does take a while to get grades back and longer to get posted. If you have any questions, he will give feedback and be honest. Participation is a huge chunk of your grade and read before going to class and ask even one question a day.

Scott is a great professor. Respectful, accessible, and works with you to make sure you pass. He teaches the textbook, so if you don't do the reading you won't pass. Don't be afraid to reach out if the material is difficult: he'll work with you to make sure that you understand it.. Take his classes if you can!

Great teacher, who cares about students and the material. There is a lot of reading, you do need to speak if you want participation points. Aside from that, this is a fun class that is very easy to do well in. Definitely wish I could have taken him in person. Stay on top of readings, contribute to discussions, and you will get an easy A.

Greenwood is a great professor. Not a lot of busywork which I love. A few papers and daily short quizzes based on the reading. His lectures are interesting. He does ask for a lot of class participation.

One the best teachers at CSUSM. Had him twice now, only problem is it's finals week and he STILL HASNT PUT IN A GRADE!! He did it last semester as well. But I do have to say he knows his stuff when it comes to Middle East politics and hes got it down when it comes to Palestine. He's been there and has lots of awesome experiences.

I loved taking his class the only downside was that we only got 1 free pass for absences and he didn't put any grades in yet and finals week was last week. i still have no idea what i have in the class. attendance is mandatory for the entire 3 hour lecture, if you leave early you're SOL. cool class, horrible policies.
