Pretty much a discussion class. 35-45 minutes of discussion, sometimes more. Scott is always 5-10 minutes late. He changes the final times to something totally different then what the schedule of classes has listed. Scott TOLD me off when I addressed him about HIS error on the final change. I would not reccomend taking him due to his attitude.

Positives: Most lectures fairly well structured. They were on topic and gave relevant information. Tests were easy if you studied the material. Lectures are reasonably organized when they occur. Group work is often assigned. He comes off a little strong the first class (esp. for us non-trad students) His jokes are juvenile. Scott speaks very fast, unclear, & talks to the class as if we are children. You have to teach yourself 90% of the time or you will not pass. His way of teaching is unorganized, confusing, & he doesn't cover what we paid to learn. Total waste of tuition cost because students teach themselves. You want a challenging class take his. Not an easy class

Not the greatest. Lots of homework, but they are worth very little. He WILL go over everything on the exam in class, even in summer semester, so as long as you don't zone out you're good. If you're a girl, don't expect to have him let you talk without talking to you like a child. Easy A, just have to deal with him.

Time-consuming. Structure is confusing weekly to-do lists, these often have 30+ items, never had time to review the optional ones. Grading is 10 points weekly posts, 100 points each for 4 multiple choice exams. Key may be to focus on his Powerpoints. Spent 15 hours/wk, unrealistic if taking 5 courses. Bonus points for doing weekly work in 2 days.

Take the course from another professor. This guy is all over the place. You have to cite sources in disc, post. You have 2 disc. posts, a quiz and an exam on top of readings and video in some weeks. The due dates were wrong and the syllabus was late. He is particular when grading and will knock points off with no problem. Bad teacher, stay away.

Ive taken SO MANY classes with CNM. He is the one teacher I can say I would NOT ever take his class. If you are only taking 1-2 classes then fine but if you are a full time student then this class will overload you! He makes ridiculous amounts of work that isnt worth many points. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.

In the beginning, he gives two syllabi called "A & B" and another "C." They say to spend between 15-9 hours per week for this class- and then you sign one of the two to say what grade you'll get? Huh? It's an exaggeration. There is a lot of work, but online he doesn't grade anything besides discussions and tests. Listen to the bad reviews, though.

I have taken his Social Psychology class online and it went just fine. The textbook was not necessary, but his Powerpoint slides were the key that helped me survive and end the class on a good note. Organized, his quizzes and exams don't hurt for the majority of the questions are from his slides. Stays true to his words and don't be shy to ask Q's!

One of my friends was randomly dropped from that class as well. Just save your mental and don't go with this teacher.
