He is one of the best teachers ever! His lectures are very interesting and he tells you everything you need to know for the exams. Just read the book because test questions come from lecture and the book.

That class was sooooo easy! I took it over the summer, the 3 week version and I never read the book. I took notes and read them before the exam and I only missed one point. It sucks though that he grades you on participation. But he's awesome!!!

Very good teacher. Very organized and structured grading style but with an open enough discussion of the topics that it is interesting. Has clinical experience so he knows what he is talking about with regard to mental disorders. You should be able to get an A and pick something up from his class.

Took as online format. Very well-organized, responds to questions quickly, and the material was very interesting. He chooses good discussion topics. It's not hard to do well if you do the work.

Scott is a really funny teacher, I had his class at 8am and wanted to go because he is always joking and making psych interesting! You won't use the book, you MUST study for tests(4 tests are your only grades), he offers extra credit! Seriously, he is just an all around great teacher, interesting, funny, helpful..i loved the class!

The funniest teacher i have ever had! Powerpoints available online and easy to print. all tests 40 multiple choice questions and take 5-10 mins to take, then you may leave. However, they seem easyier than they are. One Research paper, but he grades it easy and makes every topic enjoyable. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

One of the best teachers I have had. I attended class everyday and took notes. As long as you do that, then you should do fine. He gives you a study guide before the test and some of the stuff that is on it may not be in our notes so you have to read some of the book. I did extremely well and it is because he has taught well!

He's great! Really straightforward. I took his online abnormal psych class, and the class was laid out just perfectly. I work and was taking several other classes on top of this one. The work for this class didn't take much time to complete yet I still learned more than I expected! Totally stress-free with interesting topics too, so I enjoyed it!

Hes an amazing teacher. Knew what he was talking about and knows how to get your attention. We didn't use the book that often cause his lectures are from the book. my calss was 200 points with 4 tests being 50 points each. IF you went to class and took notes you were golden. And he makes it stick with you.

I took him in a three week course, and I wish I had taken him in a 16 week just so I could hear more of his halarious stories and jokes! This was my favorite class at WCC. I looked forward to going to class every week! Hollenback is super passionate about what he does, and he really makes an effort to make sure everyone understands the material. I didn't appreciate all of the cussing but other than that he was awesome!

Mr.Hollenback is my favorite teacher at Waubonsee! He is super fun, there is never a dull moment in his class. He tells a lot of stories during his lessons also. Even though your grade in this class is based off tests...his tests are super easy! Take him! I took him for Intro and Life Span.

I've taken all three of Hollenback's classes and gotten A's in every one. USE THE POWERPOINTS. I don't know how people don't get A's in this class if they review the powerpoints. Lectures were funny and interesting especially for the 8am class. Just print out the powerpoints and study the exam study guides and there is no excuse why you cannot get an A. He assigns Extra credit by going to student lectures. Very helpful and knows his stuff. Will take again if I need additional PSY classes!!!

Everything that he teaches is on blackboard on powerpoint slides that he uploads, and you do not use the book a single time. the only grades are 4 tests, and one stress assignment. Class was awesome and I actually learned stuff. His lectures were so easy for me to follow. I made the mistake of taking his class at 8:00 am, and I was late everyday to class (one time i walked in as class ended). I still got an A in the class because of how well he lays everything out for the tests. 10/10 would Psych again

Scott was probably the the funniest professor I've had here at Waubonsee. Lectures are long and just go off of a PowerPoint. 4 tests and 3 case studies were the only grades. Tests don't contain anything from the PowerPoint. Book may be beneficial. Interesting class!

Mr. Hollenback is hilarious! He may cuss a lot but he uses it for reasonable reason. Plus it's more hilarious that way haha He even connects some real life stories from what he experienced and things that he can relate with his students! He is great!

Hollenback is FUNNY and i missed 50% of the classes because the lectures are online and attendance isnt mandatory. But for the 50% I went to I actually enjoyed his lectures so much and that is saying something because I hate school a lot.

This is the second course I have taken with Hollenback. Both have been incredible. His lectures are amazing he incorporates a lot of everyday experiences into lecture which makes it more interesting. All classes were power point lectures explaining topics. Gets class involved and is VERY funny and keeps the topics exciting. Grades only on tests (Study guides and homework cover it) and the online connect homework. Class is fun, but gets old an repetitive towards the end of semester. WOULD recommend.

Overall one of the best professors at Waubonsee Community College, he cares about his students and always gives feedback when needed. If you can pass his class you don't really about being in school. His class isn't the easiest but its the best if you apply yourself.

Hollenback is one of the greatest men I have ever met. He has quite a wealth of knowledge and can easily get an entire lecture hall rolling with laughter. Only things you're graded on are the chapter homework (online) and unit tests. Can always get 100 on homework and they're all due by end of the semester. Class is just lecture from his powerpoints. Tests didn't always match what we learned in class. He's super chill and lectures are entertaining. Try to always attend class, he explains well.

Take his classes as honors if you can, you get paid by the school, and it boosts your GPA. This teacher is nice, available, and amazing at teaching and especially explaining things a few times till the class gets it. He also gives hints in lessons of what will be on the test so pay attention.

Professor Hollenback is a caring guy, and his class was not difficult at all. There are 18 chapters of homework to go through, a 6 page paper to write, and 4 exams, but as long as you keep up with your deadlines, this is an easy A. He allowed students to make up exams because some were struggling. Attendance is taken through discussion posts.

This was a great class! He gives you a couple weeks to finish 2 to 3 chapters, a couple discussions, and an exam. I believe there was 4 in total. As long as you are prepared to read, you should be good to go! He responds quick to emails and he was very helpful and kind. Good class!

Highly recommend. The homework that was spoken of in another review, unlike what was said, it does count towards your grade. It is a big part of it. I loved that part because it allows you to learn terms in a fun way. Explore the hw find review portion and it will help alot. The case studies were fun too. He grades fairly. Great class!

The lectures given are one of a kind. He is such an amazing professor he makes learning interesting. Easiest class of my life. Each week there were three chapters worth of work due, each with two assignments to complete. Some chapters took longer than others, so manage your time well. Material was all out of the textbook. TAKE THIS CLASS ONLINE!! Easiest A you'll ever get with hardly any effort.
