Bro Jordan is an excellent online teacher and reasonable. The class itself is hard and you have to meet with your group online twice a week, sometimes it can be a lot but I would take this class online than on campus any day. There are a lot of resources given for you to be successful in the class. There is also a lot of homework to be done

Bro Jordan is a good guy. He is very understanding of your circumstances and is willing to help you out. Bad things is that this class is online, and he has you Skype your group of 3-5 people twice a week. This activity is next to useless, and is difficult to coordinate. His test also take HOURS. It took me 6 hours to do the final exam.

Brother Jordan is a wonderful online professor. This class was a block class and required a lot of work. It was overwhelming at first but Brother Jordan made sure you knew where to find information and had very helpful videos each week. As long as you stay on top of the work and use the resources you'll do fine.

I was worried the syllabus says he didn't allow late work, but i sent him an email and he let me turn everything late for almost full credit. He gives good feedback. extra credit available every exam. group meetings are mandatory, like 1-2 hours a week for online class.

He makes an effort to know and help each student in the class. Classes are productive, funny, and easy to follow. He'll stop and answer any questions and will review any work if you feel uneasy about it. He provides guided notes to follow along the lectures. Don't bother with a textbook. All homework, quizzes, and exams were online through Knewton.

Dr. Jordan is a great professor. He knows the material very well and can put it in simple terms. He doesn't care about not finishing a lesson if it's for the sake of confusion and questions being answered. He cares about the student and not just teaching the math. It's a really hard class but he's forgiving and willing to work with you.

Funny and goofy during class lectures and still keeps a well-respected atmosphere to help everyone learn. I'm able to see him outside his office hours that worked with my schedule. Sometimes he has a tendency to talk and/or brush through certain material faster than I think he ought to when he seems slightly lazy. Overall, great professor!

He has a bizarre and dry sense of humor along with being extremely sarcastic, but once you get use to it he is great. He tends to spend more time lecturing than giving us time to work, but his is super available outside of class to help clarify questions about homework/tests. Grading is super generous, just talk to him after class about it.

If you want to learn and master calc, Brother Jordan does a fantastic job. My favorite teacher at BYU Idaho. He offers partial credit for test-reviews, and lets you take each exam 3 times. Bro. Jordan wants you to succeed and he is HILLARIOUS. Go to his office hours and enjoy his sarcasm. 15/10 recommend if you are willing to work to understand.

The class is generally difficult, Brother Jordan makes calculus bearable. He makes a lot of jokes during class and also tries to help when needed either during class or in his office hours. Depending on how diligent you are with homework you can keep up on it, the class is 4 credits but there is definitely more homework than 4 credits worth.

Prof Jordan is a great math teacher. He is a fun, upbeat energetic guy that makes math fun. Using his office hours and the tutoring lab will make your life easier. Brother Jordan is a very knowledgeable math teacher, he however tends to talk super fast and also writes exceedingly small on the board so sit in the front row and you will do better than average. One of the best math professors I've had. He genuinely cares about his students and wants everyone to succeed. Brother Jordan is a nice guy that feels like he wants you to succeed. As of Spring 2025, there is no late penalties for regular assignments and quizzes and exams do not throw curveballs at you. Plenty of retakes and professor is forgiving. Will give points if you meet with him. Expect 1-2 hrs of HW a day.

Brother Jordan keeps calculus interesting. If you need help he will help you. You don't need to come to class, but it is very important because his explanations and walk throughs are very helpful. He likes batman, bluey, and has a dark sense of humor. He definitely knows math too.

Scott Jordan is an amazing teacher. He cares about his students and is willing to work with you. His class focuses on learning. We were allowed 3 attempts on quizzes and exams. Exams are in the testing center. If you can put in the effort you WILL get an A. He also provides extra credit for taking the course evaluation and other low effort tasks.

Great teacher, he explains why the different rules work and once he feels like the class has a good grasp on things sometimes he will combine steps, but he will go back through each step if you ask. After quizzes and exams, if you ask him about the questions you missed he'll give you partial credit.

Br Jordon is super funny and is always willing to help students when stuck on a concept! This is my 2nd semester with him. He also gives x3 attempts on quizzes & tests which takes a huge stress load off and honestly helped me learn the material more effectively.

Professor is fantastic and would take him again. Class can be hard depending on your math background but if you work hard enought and ask for help you will do fine. Tests are the majority of your grade (60%), but he is kind and gives you useful calculators, a 3x5 notecard, and 3 attempts on every test. Overall good experience.

Great teacher that wants to make class fun, attendance isn't mandatory and the lectures are not too complicated. The exam is based on the review which is based on the homework so if you understand how to do the homework the exam is the same thing with different numbers. He wants to help and is willing to be lenient if you make small errors.

Some topics were a little hard to fully understand just from class, but it was really easy to learn from Pearson and the test structure is really easy with a review that covers the type of questions on the exam as well as all the multiple choice questions. I feel like I don't have a fundamental understanding of linear algebra but can do the tests.

Brother Jordan is great. He really knows how to walk you through a problem and explain it. The homework isn't bad either it is quite a bit of homework but you can take it again and again until you get it right so its not hard to get 100% on the homework assignments.

Professor Jordan teaches in 3 different ways, through notes, example, and then having you work on it by yourself while he answers questions. He constantly makes sure his students are understanding how to do the math, while also encouraging us in fun and creative ways. Great person and professor! When I have questions about applications of certain topics, he doesn't always have an answer, but is still willing to talk. The class consists of lectures with guided notes, a few assignments every week, occasional quizzes, and a few tests. All work is done in Pearson. Their matrix inputs are annoying, but survivable.

Coming into this semester I was nervous to take linear algebra. Brother Jordan made the class fun and walked through each of the concepts with us in class. If anyone had questions, he answered them well. I believe that he wants nothing, but for his students to succeed.

Brother Scott was amazing!! I really liked his class although I wasn't able to make it in person for most of the semester he still was very kind and had a class. He made a lot of jokes and was kind of a silly guy. I really enjoyed his class and I definitely reccomend it.

He was an amazing teacher. Even though I was not able to make it for most of the lectures towards the end of the semester he still made it easy to access the class through canvas. All exams are weighted heavy which is kind of difficult but doable.

The class is taught in a very organized way with notes going over every chapter and a homework assignment with every lesson on Newton (a math homework learning center). He has quizzes that are pretty evenly spaced and a couple of exams though out the entire course. Overall he is a good teacher and the class isn't too hard.

He takes the time to explain how to solve problems and point you in the right direction without outright giving you the answers.
