Awesome course and He is an interesting person to teach this class. I was there every day at 8am because it was fun and the stuff I learned was really neat. Also, he is helpful and understanding when you approach him with a problem.

the class is fun and interesting but the test are confusing and hard. i would recomend him though!

He is my favorite professor I have, and I would recommend this class to anyone! However, you will have to work at it, it is NOT a GPA booster class, but it is very interesting and useful. Ketring is possibly the funniest professor at Auburn!

This professor gives lots of extra credit. He is a very funny teacher and makes the class very interesting. I would recomend him to anyone! Test are multiple choice usually 50% notes, 50% book

Very interesting class, you learn a lot about yourself, and he always adds personal experiences that are quite entertaining. Tests are hard, but he gives lots of chances for extra credit. can't make lower than a "B" if you try even just a little

Dr. Ketring is a great professor! I could not handle an 8 o'clock class if it wasn't his! He has been very helpful to me. His crazy spirit is uplifting 99% of the time, annoying the other 1%--Either way his class is enjoyable!

My favorite teacher here at Auburn! Hes so funny and he gives tons of extra credit so even if you dont do well on the tests you can make up for it by just going to class. Although he jokes around a lot he still gets the work done too and you learn a lot

He was my favorite teacher at Auburn so far! He was always cheerful and definitely hilarious! I loved this class, and he was an awesome teacher! You have to read the book, though, because his tests are hard and straight from the book. Fun class!

Awesome teacher!! 8 am just doesn't seem so early when its with him. He's funny and encouraging, and you still learn a lot. You do have to read the book though, but with extra credit and a little bit of studying before tests, you can make a B easy.

Dr. Ketring is wonderful! Although 8 AM is not my chosen time for class he made it fun and interesting. I learned a lot. You have to go to class and you have to read the book but with a little effort you can get at least a B.

My favorite teacher at Auburn! He is the only person worth waking up at 8am for! Lots of exta credit (I got an A instead of a B b/c of all of it!) and tons of funny stories. I learned alot and everything was very relevant to the tests.

This class is so interesting. I learned alot about relationships and people. I also loved the funny stories and the jokes of the day emails he would show before class. the tests were very easy and you print the main points of the notes off online so you only have to add your own extra notes in class. Dr.Ketring was very interesting and worth getting up at 8am to hear. He was very funny with lots of personal stories. He is easy and helpful. Also a great reference for the future.

Dr. K is a stud...he made my 8 am class enjoyable... no homework, papers, or projects. He just told us to read chapter X-Y by the test date...the tests were almost completely book based though...not always easy.

Dr. Ketring's tests are hard, and don't think that because the nores are online that you do not have to go to class. There are probably about 6 questions on each test from things he only went over in lecture. He is very helpful though and lets you drop a test, gives some extra credit, etc.

He made an 8 am class enjoyable. Just go to class (which is very entertaining) and read the book and it's pretty easy.

Great teacher and test qre only hard if you don't go to class! I hardly read the book and got an A. I hate 8am classes but enjoyed his. Go to class and do the e/c and you'll fly by.

Wonderful man! Makes the material interesting & he entertains while he teaches. I think this might be his last year but he should stay! AU needs more Professors like him. Test are ok- you do have to read the book which sucks bc you don't know what to focus on. He talks about his family A LOT which is so sweet. You can tell he loves his wife & boys.

He makes class very interesting and even though class isn't mandatory, I still went because I didn't want to miss anything funny! He talks about his family a lot! He is amazing!!! His stories are hysterical and the class flies by because he is so entertaining. Everything he told will stay with me throughout my life and he tells the keys to keeping a happy marriage emotionally and sexually! Test are tricky but as the semester passes he begins to tell you what to focus on!

Dr. Ketring is such a great professor. I think his class should be mandatory for everyone at the university. It teaches so much about life skills and it is great. I absolutely loved it! He was a great professor and I looked forward to going to class. Tests are pretty easy if you study and the extracredit helped me a whole letter grade! =)

this was the most enjoyable class I have ever taken at Auburn. Attendance is not even close to required but you will want to be there every class--Dr. Ketring is hysterical! It can be hard sometimes to figure out what to study for the tests but he gives a ton of extra credit. Take his class if you can!

GREAT TEACHER!!! He makes class very interesting and makes your want to come even though its not required. Tends to wander away from the lecture but posts notes online so you have everything you need. Tells tons of stories in class that are hilarious! Gives one whole letter grade worth extra credit! He is a great teacher!!! He gives a ton of extra credit!!! I made an A in the class because of all the extra credit! Even though attendance isn't mandatory, you should still attend because he gives out the extra credit answers for the exams & extra credit assignments!!! The best 8:00am class ever!!

Dr. Ketring is an interesting guy, he goes off topic in every lecture though. His tests are a bit more difficult than you'd expect but the class is still interesting and he is a great teacher!

Fantastic teacher! Super entertaining even at 8 am. Also, he is great to work for in his practicum. Very laid back and you learn a ton.

Interesting class, I almost always went even though it was 8am. Attendance not mandatory, but he gives lots of extra credit that you can only receive by being in class that day, I missed 3 points because I overslept my alarm once. Read the book as a lot of the test comes from it and he doesnt lecture on it, not as easy as you'd think but not awful!

I hardly came to class because it was at 8. I didn't put in hardly any effort and still got a high B. When I did go Dr. Ketring was hilarious, but sometimes got confusing because he went on tangents often. I found it hard to make A's, but really easy to make B's. Fun class as well.

Dr. Ketring was HILARIOUS! Best 8 am ever! Attendance not mandatory but it helps! read the book, as some test questions come from it and he doesn't lecture on it! Easy B but an A is definitely possible !

He really cares about what he's teaching. You can tell he really cares about his family- talks about them a lot. Tests are over both notes and book. Make sure to READ THE TEXTBOOK! Attendance is not mandatory, but sometimes he gives extra credit out during the class. Do the work expected, and you should be fine.

I loved this class! Dr. Ketring is so hilarious. Reading the textbook is a must.I actually went to most of the classes despite it being at 8am because i liked it so much.

Best class I've taken at Auburn. Yes it's at 8am but so worth it. I went to it more than my afternoon classes. Not too hard as long as you do well on the tests. He drops one test too.

I love Dr. Ketring. He is so funny and very interesting. However, everyone on here who says "it was worth it to take this 8am"... It wasn't. I am a morning person, and I was sorry I took this class at 8am. Yes, Dr. Ketring is great, but the class was so easy that I felt like waking up at 8am to go to it was a real waste of sleep.

He is very blunt, he will tell you like it is! The actual lectures are funny and he has a lot of great stories. Not a lot of people go to class because its so early but its worth it. The tests on the other hand. If you don't read the book, good luck. The tests are hard even if you do read the book and go to class but he offers a lot of extra credit

If you are complaining about this class you might as well quit school now! This guy is hilarious, he walks across the top of the chairs during lecture!!!! Show up and he tells you what is on the test, only the people that don't show are clueless. Take a few notes with the power points and grab a super easy B, read the book and get an A. Simple!!!!!

Dr. Ketring is very enthusiastic about his profession and teaching the material. He gave out six extra credit opportunities - at the end of the semester, this took my grade from a B+ to an A-. Going to class is important for these points, also for test answers (he has power points but tells information in class). S.I. sessions are grade changers.

Dr. Ketring is by far my favorite professor at Auburn!! He was hilarious to listen to, and made the class fun, however, the class was not an easy A. You have to read the book, and study his lectures in detail. His tests are half book questions and half lecture so anything could be on the test. The good thing is he drops your lowest test score!

Dr. Ketring made lecture so interesting and very funny. I would certainly recommend him. Half of the test is from the book so it is required. You won't make over a D+/C if you don't read.

Dr. Ketring is one of my favorite teachers. He makes the lectures very interesting keeps you very engaged. But he assigns reading every night and has e-clicker quizzes on them the next day.

Attendance isn't technically mandatory but you will take iclicker quizzes almost every single class. You HAVE to read the book if you want to do even decent in this class. He is super entertaining and gave extra credit towards the end but doing your readings and the iclicker quizzes are key.

I really enjoyed this class, considering I had to get up at 8 a.m.! The lectures were very interesting; however, the textbook was different from the lectures. You probably won't do well in the class if you don't read the textbook. Dr. Ketring also gives you easy extra credit points at the end of the semester that boosts your grade.

This class was incredible. I was worried when I had to take a 8am that is would sleep right through the class, but this professor is a riot and I had no problem listening to him. He uses funny personal stories and at one point even jumped on a desk and danced to "uptown girl". As long as you listen and read the book you'll have no problem passing.

Ketring was a really good lecturer. Hilarious lectures. Quizzes every class over the reading so you have to read a lot and go to class to get those points. Has 4 test including the non-cumulative final. Gave extra credit at the end of the semester. Go to office hours if you're border line to get a bump. Go to class and read if you want an A.

He gives quizes most days so you should go to class but it's not mandatory. Quizes and tests are your only grades. He expects you to read before class and there is a lot of stuff from the textbook on the exams so you will want to purchase it.

Dr. Ketring is one of a kind. He is hilarious and gives extremely descriptive lectures. He expects reading to be done before class and there are occasionally pop quizzes. He is super fair, and sets his guidelines at the beginning of class. His lectures are the best part of the class, but reading matters most for the tests.

Dr. Ketring's class is very interesting. He tells a lot of funny stories and is overall a nice guy. However, be sure to read your textbook as he gives a quiz after every chapter. His slides are on Canvas but they are fill in the blank and he moves quickly through the material. Overall, I enjoyed this class and would take him again.

I LOVE DR. KETRING! His tests are hard, but the grade was worth it because he has a big personality. I didn't mind getting up for an 8am because he was so interesting. There is a quiz everyday so read to do good on them, but reading still didn't help me, but that might just be me....

He's so funny and makes class enjoyable. He gives the max amount of extra credit allowed by Auburn and its super easy. His tests are like high school tests basically--no fill in the blank, all multiple choice and T/F. He answers emails almost immediately. Theres quizzes at the end of every chapter so make sure to read to get those easy points

Dr. Ketring is great. He's very nice in office hours, and does truly want you to do well in his class. I didn't believe this until November when deciding if I should drop the class or not. Print off notes & only worry about oral notes while in class. BUY THE BOOK if you want to pass. Get to the last 2 tests and you can pass! the 1st 2 are the worst

Dr. Ketring is one of the best professors that I've had at Auburn. He makes his lectures interesting and funny. The first two tests were a little difficult, but thoroughly reading the textbook would have made them easier. Just make sure you do the homework and study for the tests and you'll easily end with an A. He wants his students to do well!

Best teacher I've ever had. He wants you to be interested and learn so pay attention and be prepared to answer random questions he asks you. Print out the notes and write down everything he says including his personal stories because they will be on the test. Read the textbook for quizzes and highlight as you go so you can make an outline to study.

Scott is so funny and makes this entry-level class interesting. He drops the lowest test score and gives lots of opportunities for extra credit. The textbook is required but in my opinion, it really is not necessary, if you pay attention in class you will make an A.

BEST professor I've ever had. He's so funny and interesting that I actually enjoyed going to my 8 AM.

I liked his lectures a lot. His "tangents" are relevant because they make it easier for the class to understand what subject he is talking about; I think that all professors should make their lectures personal like Dr. Ketring did (he added his own stories & experiences to get the point across).
