Very good teacher and understanding. Easy to work with.

He knows that most of his student do not like math and don't want to be there, so he makes it as easy as possible. He is super nice and helpful, and occasionally really funny. Only problem- gets boring and repetitive.

He's an awesome prof., right our of grad school...knows his stuff. Very reasonable work load...grades easy too. I would recommend him to anyone.

Makes things as easy as possible, doesnt make you learn anything you dont need in real life, and gives you handouts of everything. Also very limited hw. Conceptual questions make up most of the tests though

GORGEOUS! FUNNY! BUT BORING! He is a really nice guy but if you want to do well you must do lots of work. He is very clear and does not care about attendance.

If you ever get a chance to take Dr. Lean, DO IT!! He's a great guy and his Psyc 101 class is easy. His lectures are really interesting. In psyc 101, we were graded solely on 4 tests. As long as you go to lecture & take notes, you'll do well. Study notes well, don't need to buy book! Fun class!!

By far the BEST PROFESSOR in the Psych. Dept. Independent Research w/ him is fun! He's also a NWU-FSofM grad! Anyone that says something mean about him probably needs an attitude adjustment. Take him for any class possible or even better, do a project w/ him...he has tons of work to do!

he is a super nice guy and is always willing to help. However stats was really a difficult topic and tests were hard. However, he does give you points for h.w. and is always there to help. The topic is just difficult and i dont think its easy to teach. Will give formula's for tests..the m.c. will kill you. but he is the best of the stats teachers

He is easily one of my fav profs!!!! I looked forward to going to his class all semester. He is extremely funny, very intelligent and a REALLY good teacher!! He makes the lectures very easy to understand and very very interesting. TAKE HIM!!!! you will not regret it. i would take him again in an instant. 3 exams and a final.

Lectures are kinda boring, but he is very helpful when it comes to tests. 4 tests, no homework, and he tells you exactly what you will be tested on. he shows clips and stuff that make sense of everything. I'd definetly recommend him!

The class is pretty fair. The only downside is that the grade is based on 4 tests and each test has only 25 questions, so the whole grade is basically 100 questions. It's easy to do well if you complete all the extra credit though.

Don't buy the book. All material is on powerpoint. He has 4 tests (25 questions) and like an opportunity of 30 EC points. It is not a hard class but kinda boring. He knows his stuff though.

Dr. Leon is very interesting and funny! His class is fairly easy, just study for the tests because they are only 25 questions so you can't afford to get many wrong. I strongly recommend this teacher.

Mr. Leon is very dedicated, knoledgeable, and interested in psychology. He is extremely helpful and open if you have a question or comment, or if you have a theory you'd like to discuss. Attendence in a lecture hall really isn't technically mandatory, but his class is worth going to.

His class is really easy. Two tests are the final grade though. You HAVE to study and go to class because a lot of the stuff on the test is not on the power points but stuff he mentions. Easy extra credit points and he is really funny. Sort of good looking too!

Psychology 101 is common-sense psychology, but he actually made me interested. Slides are helpful, and he puts them up before tests (there are 2) along with a study guide. Tests are scantron and fairly simple. Extra credit is offered. Would recommend for an easy class to fill core requirements.

Easy professor...I went to 4 classes all semester and got a B in the course. There are just 2 tests (one being a non-cumulative final). He gives you a study guide and all the powerpoint slides (which are very helpful) before the test. Also 20 EC points possible, and the course is only out of 200 points. Take it if you can.

Professor Leon is a great teacher. Tries to make the class more interesting by showing video clips and trying to get the class more involved. Tests are pretty hard though but he does give you the powerpoint lectures before the exams.

I love this class. Given I have only attended one class! I literally showed up for the midterm and no other class and got an 86 out of 100. He puts all the powerpoints on blackboard. He also gives a study guide (I did not know this) HONESTLY JUST STUDY POWERPOINTS AND YOUA RE GOLDEN!!! DO NOT BUY BOOK either!

AMAZING! great professor. really makes the class interesting! grade is only one 2 tests(midterm/final) 50mc not hard at all. gives 15% extra credit. hard to do bad in this class.. dont need to go to class or buy book but i recomend going to class cus he teaches some really cool interesting stuff! love him. im thinking of becoming a psyc major =)

I AM IN LOVE WITH SCOTT LEON. Only have the midterm and the final, gives a study guide - easy A as long as you study. Don't have to go to class because he puts the powerpoints up the week before the exams, but it's extremely helpful to attend + HE'S ADORABLE so you WANT to go to class! - Lots of YouTube Videos if you go to class.

Funny guy, with lots of knowledge about his subject. Seems great for an intro level course, though I'm sure he'd do just as well in an upper level setting. Very clear in his presentations, and tests, while giant, were doable. Just an all-around great teacher, highly recommended for psych courses!

Leon keeps class very interesting. His presentation is powerpoint (which is all online near the midterm and final) with lots of youtube videos and examples. It's not cut and dry; he keeps you intrigued.

Honestly he is a real cool guy and I like him, but his class kicked my ass. Maybe its because I have no prior knowledge of psych nor does it engage my interests and I ended up with a C and without EC I would have failed. He is a cool dude tho, I would recommend him.

Awesome professor! He's really funny and very entertaining. He puts all his powerpoints online and makes a study guide for each test. Only hard part is that you need to know all percentages, ratios, and durations of time for the tests. You don't really need the book, because he only uses the powerpoints, but sometimes it's a good read.

Awesome teacher! Seriously! He keeps the material interesting. I took the class at 830 which is way too early for me! But I ended up going to most of the lectures because I was genuinely interested. The book is completely useless though. Everything on the test comes from him. The tests are pretty hard but he gives you the materials needed.

One of my favorite classes so far. He's such a awesome teacher and great guy. He's cool, young, funny, and the material is not dry. This class used the best text book I've ever had, I read almost every chapter because it's such an easy read and is very interesting, keeping the book. Only because I really enjoyed everything was this class super easy

He is a relatively entertaining professor. He uses a lot of youtube videos to help clarify concepts. As far as testing goes he does put up a study guide listing all relevant terms online. For all 3 exams I printed it out and defined all the terms and did fine on the tests. Offers extra credit, which I highly suggest doing to pad your grade.

Thought it was a great class. Psyc is entertaining, youtube videos makes it more fun. Prof is friendly, and relates to students well. Really needs to rethink the tests though. They are more "trick" than fair sometimes. Study straight from power points, go to class and you will get an A.

Wonderful guy, awesome class, super helpful, kinda twitchy but it's not a bad thing! It gives him character, makes him interesting and he's really hot. Just go to class, pay attention, emphasize on the notes don't just print off the pots and expect to get an A.

You HAVE to go to class if you want to get anything above a C. He's a cool laid back guy but his tests are really tricky. A lot of the material is stuff that he says during lecture that is not on the powerpoint, so you have to pay attention. He makes it pretty interesting though. Just make sure you pay attention to what he says and it's all good.

Great teacher, really passionate about his work. Only three tests compose your grade, if you're the kind of person who falls back on homework or quizzes to pull up your grades dont take him. I loved this class, he inspired me and sparked my interest in psych. take him only if you think you're actually willing to work for your grade and learn.

He gets pretty much everything from the powerpoints and his lectures. He grades on 3 tests, experiment hours, and one 5 point extra credit project. Nice guy and really helpful.

His exams have no surprises, they're all on his PowerPoints! I suggest attending class to better understand the concepts though, some slides may be vague. His 3 exams basically determine your grade so watch out! Class is usually not boring, especially with the YouTube videos he shows and his sense of humor.

Dr. Leon is awesome. His class is engaging, and he's approachable and clear. Content is really interesting for majors and non-majors, but of course you have to study! Went to every lecture and only studied my lecture notes, never cracked open the book, and got an A. Take him!

Teacher is a great guy but this class is not easy - he gives you a study guide that has nothing to do with the actual test. You must know the deeper meaning of every word and be able to apply them all to do well on the tests

Professor Leon is an extremely intelligent and helpful person. Grade is three noncumulative tests, two counseling exercises, and a short writing assignment. The class is easy and extremely interesting, but the tests require moderate studying. Book use is virtually nonexistent. He gives valuable career and grad school advice. Highly recommended!

You can get an A if you take notes, study the PowerPoints, and read the materials. Tests aren't easy, as they're mostly conceptual, but he is very helpful when you approach him outside of class or via email. He offers real-world examples, fun lectures, insightful projects, and advice for grad schoolcareer goals. Take him!

As long as you go to every class and take good notes you'll get an a. Even if you don't get an a you'll probably eventually get one due to all the extra credit. He's kinda funny so lectures weren't bad.

There is one PowerPoint for the entire class, so all of the information is there. Class is interesting but you don't have to go, but you will miss some of the videos. Do the extra credit! Study the PowerPoint for the 3 tests. Final not cumulative.

There's a power point that he teaches off of, and his lectures aren't bad. You'll miss a lot if you don't attend class. The extra credit saved me! 3 tests, participation in experiments outside of class, or you can write about them. Final is non-cumulative. Review notes throughout the semester if you want to do well on the tests!

The only problem I have with him is that he's so unclear and disorganized. Like this one time, I asked him if we were going to tell him our group project topic so we wouldn't coincide with another group and he was all, Yeah that's a great idea! Grades exams on curve, uses lots of videospictures to help students understand concepts, gives extra credit, majority of material is on powerpoint but to get A you must go to class & note his comments, some things he said in person that weren't on ppt were on exam, 2 exams 1 non-cumulative final, one of the reasons why I changed my major to psych!

I would definitely take his class again, he's my favorite professor at loyola. He has a good structure for his class. We never use the textbook or online text everything is straight from the powerpoint and lectures, so make sure you're taking notes. He's really funny & helpful. He doesn't go too in depth and stays on topic. He keeps it interesting!

Go to lectures! Pay attention in lecture! All the test material comes from there. It's really interesting stuff anyway. Make sure to study a little bit after the lectures. Even 10 minutes is great, rather than cramming before the exam.

Scott is the guy to take for psych 101. I was literally one point away from an A. There's no need to go to class since he basically reads from the powerpoint. Professor Leon is great. He has great videos to show of psych experiments and such. You'll learn a lot from this prof. because you'll love going to class. He gives great examples that will be on the exam. Three 50 point MC exams, up to 15 points of extra credit. Easy to get an A if you pay attention :)

I've taken two classes with Prof. Leon, and he is no doubt one of the best Psych teachers at Loyola. Hilarious, tells great stories, and is generally very available for his students.

I took professor Leon for psych 101 and absolutely loved him. Although it was a 200 student lecture, he really made sure we understood the material and his lectures were always interesting. There are only 3 exams and they are difficult and specific, using examples he gives in class, but other than that the class is relatively easy.

He is a really good professor, and explains well the material. However, the tests are are not that easy, you need to study a lot for them, and understand very well the concepts.

I love Scott, he's such a dad. He's hilarious and tells a lot of dad jokes. Also uses great examples. No textbook, the only homework is just studying for tests (3, 50 mc questions) and then doing the psych study credits. Course is worth 180 points and have opportunity to get 15 extra credit points. I'd love to take every psych class with Scott

This man KNOWS his stuff. Smart man that will go out of his way to support students before and after class or outside of class. Solid choice and over all decent class! Learned a lot but the only downside was the 2 tests were real wild cards. 2 in class activities w/ reflections, 1 group presentation, 1 fake patient history paper but all easy.

Dr. Leon is a wonderful professor. There is a lot of material to cover in 101, and he does a great job of making it interesting- he throws in funny anecdotes and shows a lot of youtube videos to give you real-world examples. The exams are straight from the powerpoints, never anything from the textbook. He gives 15 points of extra credit, too.

He's great! So funny, and you can tell he cares about what he's teaching. If you show up to class everyday and take notes, you don't have to do more than read over your notes to pass his 3, non-cumulative tests. He gives two extra credit opportunities, and the rest is through participation on TopHat. Would highly recommend this fun class!

TAKE HIM! UGH SUCH A GEM honestly. SO sweet and his lectures are SO interesting Just attend and pay attention to his lectures(he does use some of his examples on his tests) and read over his slides and you will do good. Possibly the best psych prof I've had. He has a way of explaining concepts in a clear yet entertaining way, and it's obvious he really knows what he's talking about. Relatively little homework, and a somewhat easy grader. His class was one of the few I can say I genuinely looked forward to attending.

SUCH a great teacher!!!!!! He makes psych concepts entertaining and fun, putting a personal twist on it so you can feel more connected. He knows people want to do the minimum amount of work so he only gives two tests but also allows so many extra credit opportunities. If you fail both tests you can still get a B by doing extra credit/etc!

Scott is really nice and funny. His lectures can get a bit dry but they're very straight forward. The tests are oddly specific to the lectures (ex. will ask the name of someone in the video we watched) but super easy. I didn't study for the first test and got a 90%. He's super nice and cares about all his students.

Scott Leon is hilarious. I would skip class probably once a week and still do well on the tests. When I did go to his lectures, he had us laughing the entire time. He shows videos the whole class. He gives us a lot of extra credit assignments.

This class is so easy and straightforward, it hurts. Sure, the memes and videos he uses are dated, but Leon is a great lecturer and made the material super easy to remember. I love that he required us to take part in real lab studies because I got a better feel for the industry. All you have to do is show up and listen, and you can easily get an A.

Everyday's class consists of lecture. However, they are interesting! There are never any homework assignments, so the only thing you need to do outside of class is study! No quizzes. Tests are based on powerpoint lectures. Also, pay attention to things he says during lectures. If available, attending the SI sessions is extremely beneficial.

Prof Leon matches his students energy... if you're kind + work hard, he will do the same for you. Every class is a lecture but you can download all of the slides at the beginning of the semester which makes it really easy. Study for 1 hour a week + you'll be fine for the midterm + final. MAKE SURE TO DO THE RESEARCH PARTICIPATION

SUPER easy class. I barely went and still got a good grade. only thing to buy was a Top Hat subscription, which he uses to ask one question in the beginning of class. The lectures are VERY boring. He legit talks for the entire class time. No homework. You only have to do 8 studies (answer ?s for other researchers,) and 3 tests (including the final)

Dr. Leon really was an incredible professor. There are 3 exams non-cumulative worth 50 points each , top-hat questions worth 20 points, and 8 credit study hours for ten points, with extra credit opportunities as well. Exams are from the lecture slides as well so they are straightforward. Dr. Leon is a gem and I would advise everyone to take him!

All you have to do is study the slides with a quizlet or flashcards and the exam should be fairly easy, just make sure to study.

Prof. Leon is very sweet, but the class structure made things much more difficult compared to other psyc101 profs. You're essentially only graded on 3 exams and can't use notes. I just wish we had some homework or something bc there was no way to retain any info from the lectures. He did give lots of extra credit though which was great.

Scott Leon is the absolute GOAT. He's so sweet and caring ! All you have to do is show up for class and take notes, then you'll be good. Provides a ton of extra credit so it's easy to pass his class. The grade is based on 3 exams, top hat questions, and study credits. 10/10, I would definitely recommend him.

Very funny guy, made the lectures interesting, but the class was just lectures in the end. If you miss one class you NEED to catch up or you'll have missed a ton of info that will def be on the exam. 3 exams, daily multiple choice questions, mandatory study credits, and a lot of extra credit as well. Loved Dr. Leon! Truly cares about his students and wants everyone to do well. His lectures are really awesome and super interesting. He gives out a decent chunk of extra credit and usually ends up curving exams (although most of his exams are pretty straightforward). Go to class! He will ask questions in class that are usually on the exam.

Dr. Leon was nice. He's a little odd but his class is pretty easy. He had a few tests that were all multiple-choice. There were no essays. As long as you went to lecture you could get an easy A. He started doing attendance later in the semester because people stopped showing up lol

He is funny and shares personal stories to help connect what we are learning to real life. We only have three tests (3rd is the final) and participate in studies, so there isn't much to grade on which makes it difficult, but easy to do well on.

Dr. Leon is a great professor. You can tell her cares about his students and although some lectures are repetitive, he makes them interesting and interactive. There are only 2 exams and a final but class is pretty easy overall.

Prof. Leon is awesome. His whole class consists of 3 easy exams and participation credit worth ten percent. He has a long 600+ slide lecture he reads from and is very good and explaining the material on it. Sometimes, if he likes your class he will add on extra points to exams. I highly recommend him. I loved taking Prof Leon! If you are thinking of taking PSYC101 I would definitely recommend taking it with him. The class is made up of 3 exams but as long as you are there for lectures and take notes you should be fine. His lectures are also engaging and I rarely found myself bored in the class. Sometimes he even gives extra points back on tests.

Professor Scott was very good. He is funny and loves to interact with his students. Very easy class and very little tests. No homework.

This guy was genuinely so much fun to have. Like you can tell he really wants you to succeed and gives you a lot of opportunities to get points. He makes class enjoyable and talks about his kids too which is sweet.

They are mainly about his lectures and a few in-person examples, but as long as you understand the material, you will be okay!!! And make sure you do your Psychology studies beforehand!

Prof. Leon is a pretty chill guy and his lectures are interesting. His homework was fairly easy, but his exams were very lecture heavy. Remember the videos he shows in classes for that!! Leon's class was overall very good! I enjoyed his lectures and he made psychology pretty interesting and engaging. You can tell he loves what he teaches and can be funny. The entire class is slides and lectures and then 4 tests over the course of the semester. The "homework" can be done an unlimited amount of times and the study credits are easy as long as you stay on top of getting them done. Professor can be funny and can be boring but the class is very straightforward and not hard to ace.

Dr. Leon is super fun. He makes lectures interesting and interactive. Assignments are helpful for future grad school work. He likes to joke around and is super passionate about psych. Grade comes from a few short in-class projects and 2 exams. The exams cover half a semester so be careful. I recommend this class if you want to get into the field.

There are only 3 exams in the semester, which are based on the study guides that he gives you. Attendance is not mandatory, but if you don't show up to class, you will not do amazing on the exams since there are a lot of questions based on examples in class.

Super easy class uses many examples in slides. Everything is taught on the slides. Use extra credit. Only have 3 exams but the exams is the only thing he uses to grade. Let us leave class early and class is so big most people miss it.

Professor Leon is great! Exams aren't too hard as long as you pay attention and use the study guides he gives you. He also had 2 extra credit opportunities, which is helpful because the only other grades you get are for the 3 exams. I really enjoyed the lectures, but the exams took a lot of prep to do well on. He uses a ton of class examples, so if you don't remember what he talked about a month ago for 5 minutes, it can bring your grade down a good amount. Super knowledgeable, so if you are a psych major, definitely take, but if not, I'd go for a prof with easier tests.

I did really bad in high school Psychology but got an A in his class. Amazing professor! Explains everything well and will definitely give an example from his year of experience. Lecture Heavy. No assignments, 3x 50 Q's Exams, no midterm. Multiple opportunities to get extra credit. Take this professor.

Professor Leon is very passionate about psychology. However, your grade is only made up of 3 exams, which are all MCQs. He does offer extra credit though, which can help your grade. But if you aren't that great with test-taking, I would suggest another professor, cause the tests are hard. Overall he's very nice and caring.

3 exams make up your entire grade, which can seem daunting, but the exams are easy, and he offers around 15 points of extra credit to help with a low-test grade. The exams are super easy if you have taken AP Psychology or any psych class before, but if you haven't taken psych before, read the textbook he provides for free, and it will be fine.

If you can take him, please do. His lectures are very interesting and he goes at a manageable pace. The only thing I will say is that although attendance isn't mandatory, he uses in-person examples on tests so be aware of that. He's very approachable when it comes to needing help and his study guides before tests are well-organized for studying.

No homework. Attendance isn't graded but it's mandatory if you want to do well on the exams. You have to attend studies for a grade though, so make sure you read the syllabus in the beginning of the semester. Overall, he's a good professor. Reads off slides during lectures, but I thought he made it entertaining.
