If you need to actually understand orgo, take Dr. Lewis. His lectures were very clear and easy to follow and he is very accessible outside of class. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS. His office hours are very helpful and he will walk through problems and concepts with you. It is still a very hard class, but he actually teaches you and is easy to understand.

He's a knowledgeable teacher, but your entire grade is based solely on his exams, which are extremely difficult for no reason. There are no multiple choice questions, only open ended responses, which is uncommon compared to other professors. If you're not strong in chemistry, it's better to take Organic Chemistry with someone else

Soul-crushing is an understatement. This class is my Roman Empire. Avoid Lewis at all costs if you are a hard worker and want your grade to show it.

Stop reading what everyone else says hard work does pay off... Have never studied harder every office hours every weekend doing problems but if you put in the work it will show, and you will master orgo by the end especially if you need for future exams. Also he is the best person, friendly and helpful whenever he can. Class is exam only however.

Professor Lewis is a genuine and funny person, he truly cares about his students. He is very accessible outside of class so feel free to reach out if you don't understand something as he has lots of office hours available outside of class. His lectures are very easy to understand, as long as you show up for them, you will be successful.

Avoid him at all costs. I thought I was doing well in this class and he put so much confidence in me just for me to continue struggling. This was the hardest class I have ever taken in my life and no amount of studying and office hours would've helped. I always went in to talk to him and ask for help and it was a nightmare.
