Prof. Plunkett is a cool guy! I had a great time in his classes. The only thing i didnt like is that he REQUIRED attendance in a 150 student class. Each class their was a short opinionated assignment that was turned in for attendance purposes. All in all i learned a lot and enjoyed the class.

He is very interesting to listen to, and has funny stories. Be sure to study his study guides and you will do fine. There is one homework assignment that consist of questions that your opinion. Be sure not to copy anything from the interent to answer your questions! He checks!

Very highly recommended!!! I took 3 classes w/ Dr. Plunkett. He displays high intelligence & humor. Through it he’s very informative and is willing to help at any given time. He uses very clear study guide thus it is impossible not to succeed in any of his classes. Make sure you attend each and every class session.

One student got him to admit that he is politically conservative, but when pressed for details he politely declined and said he did not want to indoctrinate students. He has integrity that is severely lacking in so many liberal professors at CSUN.

Best professor I have ever had in my 3 years of psych, hands down. I was on exchange from Australia and he made my experience what it was, I never missed a (8am) class! Every day he renewed my love for psychology. His injection of humour and life experience into his classes made it perfect.I'll remember what he taught me long into my career :D A+++

Psychology can be a pain in the butt unless you love to do experiments and you love the vocabulary you have to learn. Plunkett grades you on four exams, attendance, lab assignments, and a research paper. He grades really, really hard on the research paper. However, he is 1 of the best psych professors in the department so you should take him.

Professor Plunkett is amazing! I took him at 8am and his lectures are not boring, he is pretty funny. You know what you will be tested on because he gives you a study guide. Plus, you save money because no textbooks are required for the class, he cares for his students so he put together a packet for us.

This professor is super busy, but he tries to make time to meet with students. If you need anything from him with a deadline (help on an assignment), ask early, he might get to you late, close to the deadline. His lectures are straightforward and he makes it interesting. Posts feedback late (still waiting on feedback from assignment from October).

Awesome professor, really cares about you doing well and will go out of his way to help you if you need it. His study guides are very good, if you study them you should get an A. He was also very helpful on the APA paper, he made it really easy for the class to keep up to date on them during labs. My 13 page paper was a lot easier with his help.

first thing first, you're dumb if you dont take scott plunkett for this course or any course he teaches. he is the perfect professor for this course, you learn so much! there are 4 exams and the one paper. its like he does the paper for you.

Prof Plunkett is by far the best professor in the world. He provides his own pdf textbook. Attendance/punctuality impacts your grade. 4 exams, 50 mc qs, study guide provided for all. No cumulative final exam. Research paper is made SO much easier. He makes himself available for students and provides so many resources.

CSUN is lucky to have an authentic gem like profes Plunk. If you ever have an early enough registration date, check out his 400 level class. You will receive points for attendance, he allows 1 makeup test, and gives the opportunity to make up assignments. Easy online quizzes & the best in class lectures. Don't leave CSUN without taking his class.

His anecdotes will stick in your mind easily. He made me laugh every class and truly cares for his students. Fantastic mentor to have!!!

Best Sedona professor on campus. He made this class easy to understand. He gives you everything you need to pass this class. All the tests were based off his lectures. If you take notes,show up, study, there is no reason why you dont get an A. Anyone who says that his tests are tricky or hard just didnt study. 4 exams, easy homework assignments.

To be frank, there is not much I can add that hasn't already been said in the earlier reviews. Dr Plunkett's ingenuity has been summed up excellently by our fellow Matadors. So... yes, yes, and yes. Plunk is where it's at.

Professor Plunkett is absolutely AMAZING!! I recommend all of you to take his course, as long as you put your time and effort you will earn an A. He gives the best advice whether its about his lectures or grad school. He is kind, funny, caring, fair & always on top of everything. He definitely keeps you motivated. NO EXAMS! :) You won't regret it

I took Professor Plunkett for both PSY460 and PSY442. He is very caring and easy to talk to and get ahold of. I wish I could have taken him in person but considering the pandemic I couldn't. Definitely take this professor even if you just need the credits. Don't let the 400 title scare you. He is an awesome person!

For a during-COVID online class. Incredibly sweet, understanding, and overall a great teacher. Exams have 10 questions with each one having a multiple-choice part and then a written explanation of your answer. The small and big project are super manageable. If you generally understood concepts from basic and psych stats you'll be ahead of the game.

I took Plunkett during my last semester at CSUN and all I can say about his class is how amazing he was. He was so caring and sweet that you could reach out to him to help you out with anything. Because COVID broke out during my last semester, my classmates and I didn't fully get to cherish our last moments with such an amazing professor. Take him!

Took his asynchronous class this semester and I wish I would have had him in person! Funny guy, super caring, and goes above and beyond to provide resources and support for students campus-wide! He encouraged us to work together (no cheating! but work collaboratively). If you get the chance to take a class with him, DO IT!

One of the best at CSUN! Easy A! No textbook use, he provides all of the reading in pdf's. The whole class is only based on quizzes, no tests/exams/finals. He is funny and truly cares for his students! He has created a website that provides resources for graduating students, and sets up zoom meetings twice a week, twice a day, for help! Take him!

This is the best professor ever. His class is so easy. I wish I would had been on top of my homework from the beginning of the semester but this professor is a must. He is so caring and sweet. There are no words that are enough to describe how great he is. You must take him

Very cool prof, made the paper so much more easier for us by breaking it up into tiny slices. You won't even realize it, but by the end of the semester your paper is completed and you'll be like "whaaaaa it was just that?". He's very open and helps out with any questions. No textbook, he wrote his own and gives it to us FREE. He's also super funny

Plunkett is what dreams are made of! He is kind, funny, & always available to help. He gives the most detailed study guides for the test. He basically holds your hand through writing the paper. If you put in the work you will get an A in the class! There's a reason he has 5 stars because his students love him! Do yourself a favor and take him!

Wonderful professor. 5 quizzes and a resume due at the end. He is easy to work with and very patient. I would love to take more classes with him.

I have mixed feelings. he tells students they can work on the quizzes together but reports us for "cheating" but we don't know the answers to it lol. So all modules are open but you cannot calculate your score and it is very nerve racking. His grading are based on his opinions of what you wrote about the topic not by if we did it right or not.

There are no zoom meetings and no textbooks to purchase which is great. He provides a pdf of notes which you MUST read in order to pass the class, since the quizzes are based on the notes. Pretty straightforward but sometimes his wording on quizzes is confusing. No homework or exams. 1 easy extra credit assignment. The class is graded on quizzes.

Plunk is awesome. My only complaint is the class is too early. Other than that, he gives you a pdf of the notes for his class and provides study guides with exactly what you need to know for each test, which are very helpful. Attendance is mandatory, but he has make up assignments at the end of the semester you can do if you miss any classes.

I feel really lucky to have the opportunity to have a professor like Dr. Plunkett. He is so much fun and very knowledgeable. He provides very helpful information, and his lectures are always fun. I had him early AM and did not mind it for his class. His exams are pretty easy, too straightforward, of course, study and you will be fine.

Prof. Plunkett is very sweet & very funny. However his exams are in person and the wording can be very confusing, study and make sure you attend every class, attendance is very important.

Amazing professor and an amazing class! Please do yourself the favor of signing up! If you have trouble with the mandatory attendance I'd say avoid his 8am lectures, however he does offer extra credit to make up any absences. His exams (4) are mostly lecture based and he also offers a make up exam. Lovely person, definitely my favorite professor!

He is an amazing professor and I think that anyone who can take his class SHOULD! the class itself is not hard, there are some quizzes/assignments that come straight from the lecture notes (which he provides). This is a test heavy class, 4 total exams, which make up the majority of your grade, so you will need to study. He's an AWESOME GUY

Amazing professor and overall individual. The class was very informational and has essential terms for those going into psychology/therapist fields. Dr. Plunkett provides his students with immense help inside and out of class!

This class with Professor Plunkett is a gem. The lectures are engaging, and he provides great support and resources like class notes and study guides. With attendance mandatory, using tools like Unstuckstudy alongside the textbook can really help nail the exams.

very proactive professor. his notes are extremely helpful and to the point, and you rely on them as the textbook. I'll be rereading them years later to brush up on some topics. He always does exam review videos, which help ace the exams. He helps students with career prospects & gives detailed advice. Plus, class always has interesting dialogue.

Genuinely one of my fave professors at CSUN! Now do I like this course? no. He words the questions on the exam in such odd ways that it's a little hard to grasp. Also to be #relatable, I assume, he talks A LOT about sex and is just overall raunchy. It's not upsetting or anything just kind of overstimulating at times and off-putting.

His tests are worded pretty difficult, and attendance REALLY matters. He's a very funny guy, makes a lot of self-deprecating jokes. He's very nice and truly wants his students to succeed. Just don't expect this class to be easy!

He is a gem. Attendance matters most. If you are more than 1 minute late it affects your grade, same with leaving early. If you miss more than 3 classes or are late/leave early often you cannot receive an A. Three exams, you can retake one exam if you miss one/want to replace a grade. Video exam reviews are the test and make acing the exams easy!

I took this class asynchronous for winter term and it was extremely easy. Textbook/notes are provided in PDF, 28 quizes mostly true false with answers spelled out in provided notes and 2 easy assignments. Its possible to finish in a week but I took it easy and finished in 10 days.

Professor Plunk is the sweetest prof you'll ever meet. Exams are in-person and lecture heavy, but as long as you pay attention, review the material, and attend the lectures you'll get an A. Material isn't hard. Take the time to get to know him outside his class. His office is a safe space and he genuinely cares about each of his students. +funny

Dr. Plunkett is awesome! He creates his own notes for the entire semester, and one quiz a day (summer course), with majority T or F questions pulled word for word from his notes. He is the best psych prof i have taken yet at CSUN. Highly recommend, he actually wants his students to learn!

Dr. Plunkett is the best professor I've ever had. He is funny, charming, constantly helpful, and one of the few people who will actually invest time into preparing you for your future. He will help you with your resume, with job searches/extracurriculars, and in his office hours, anything else you need. I was in his lab too. 100% would recommend.

Lectures are great. Professor is hilarious and insightful. Frequent quizzes, but they aren't hard. Tests can be a little tricky, but aren't unreasonable. Provides notes for the entire semester, containing everything needed for tests and quizzes. Attendance is graded and mandatory.

Dr. Plunkett is an amazing human being!!! His lectures are organized, he is a very organized person, never late. His lectures are based on his notes, provides a good life examples, which gives you a good understanding of particular concept. Gives a real quick feedback, always tries to help his students. Take this class, you'll not regret.

I wish we could see our quiz scores right away, but apart from that he is an amazing professor and highly respected. Lectures are so engaging through witty jokes and personal examples that the time flies by. Easy course overall.

If you do not pass this class with at least a B it's on you. He gives you the notes for the entire semester and uses them strictly for every quiz and test. 10/10 professor, I highly recommend chatting with him at least once during office hours. He is a professor that cares about the comprehension of the material rather than the difficulty of exams.
