Not the worst, not the best.

Very good. Provided feedback to questions and made sure the material was clear if there was any uncertainty. There were many different learning tools to make sure the class was versatile in atmosphere. Would recommend to others.

Scott provided us with plenty of materials to use throughout the semester. You are given plenty of time to prepare for quizzes and turn in labs. Not hard if you simply turn them in on time and follow directions. PLENTY of opportunity to make up points, if needed. Excellent instructor. Always answered all questions!

I was impressed with his genuine concern for his students. Always wanting to do what is best for everyone. I wish I had just 10 or 15 more minutes to finish each quiz on Friday's. He really believes in the topic of his classes. I believe I will be thinking more GREEN because of this class. Thank you Scott

Wonderful professor, very helpful. Notes are very clear, and easy to follow in the text. Provokes a real interest in the subject and treats students more than fairly. Highly recommended.

Mr. Robinson has been one of the most helpful and understanding professors I've had since enrolling at UNO. When I was deployed for 6 months, he was very flexible with my schedule and everything that follows and overseas deployment. By far one of the best professors I've had and I would recommend him to anyone.

He seems to enjoy helping his students and does a great job of relating to them. Once in a while he has a bogus question on a quiz; but he will give credit for the question if you point out the error. Be aware, he love music and likes to relate everything to 60's & 70's music!!

This professor was excellent! Extremely intelligent, professional, and the lab work and assignments were so "real world useful!" I m so glad I took this class!

He is fun, flexible and always willing to answer any questions. I was dreading taking a mandatory geography class but he made it fun. Overall, great professor and I highly recommend taking his course. ...he knows his stuff.

I can study, take a quiz, and do homework anytime I want, so it's very convinent. When I have questions, I can ask anytime by e-mail, or in virtual class, which is held twice a week.

Professor was very helpful. Class is a lot harder than you think...but interesting as well. Feel I would have gotten more out of the class, had I taken traditionally and not online.

Aw, man. Taking this course on the internet. Jealous of the people that got to do labs. Course is great - find the professor very helpful and likable. Class is challenging without being overly difficult - requires research, but no ridiculously long reading assignments or unreasonable tasks. Would definitely take another of his courses.

This professor is AWESOME. The first class, we devolved into talking about hell's angels ( the famous bikers) and the teacher is so laid back he has spelling errors when he types. Due dates are flexible, and he is more concerned that you learned the material then grades and hoop jumping.

Very Fun Class!

This was a very easy class and it was online and included the labs. The tests were very easy if you read the study guide. The professor will work with you on making up tests, etc. My only complaint was that the virtual class/extra credit meetings were always on the same nights, so if that night was bad for you, you would NEVER be able to attend.

Class was very reasonable and relaxed in terms of knowledge and assignments. However, I was very suprised at the level of class for the large amount of time put into labs. Quizzes and labs were easy with ability to use study guides. BLACKBOARD was absolutely horrible and frustrating. The college MUST find a better program.

Had 2 online classes(1070 & 1060). Both had good labs. Met in weekly chats if you needed help. Use study guides for best test results! Very fair & good instructor!!

Very well run class. Everything is laid out for you and he is there to answer questions every week.

Sent too many emails in a short period of time! One email once a week is sufficient. Also, virtual class conversations, in some cases, too long with the students. Would like to just know what to study for on the exam and homework problems that's it! Positive note, quick turn around on grading homework and exam! Easy to get a hold of if neding help

He was Great!!!

This professor is fun and smart. He knows what he is talking about and he is good at getting it across to you. He's fun in that he is laid back and is willing to shoot the wind about basically anything. If you want a professor to treat you fair and maybe even more than fair, this is your guy. Made a usually boring subject(to me)pretty interesting.

I did the online version of class. Not bad for the first class in 15 years. All the labs are really thorough, and fun. At first, a few don't seem to apply, but don't worry about that. By the time the last lab comes along, they ALL tie in together and make perfect sense. I really enjoyed taking this class. And if yo uare self learner go for it!

I am not a "science" person and have always avoided the subject in previous terms...I really enjoyed the topic and learned "earth friendly" facts. Mr. Robinson has done a great job at delivering the subject matter via distance!!!

I took this class online. He was very helpful, didn't give useless assignments and always gave study guides and hints for the quizzes. He gave a good amount of bonus points. I had little interest going into this class but it turned out being more interesting than I though it would be. If you have the option, take his class!

Very good class and professor. Assignments were very enjoyable and we were introduced to some fascinating tools that I will continue to use. It was an online course and Mr. Robinson was available to help way more often than needed. Bravo, very enjoyable

Very good class. Class consisted of 10 lab assignments (all are very straightforward and not too time consuming) 9 quizzes (and the lowest score is dropped). Opportunities for extra credit are available as well. Highly recommend!

He is awesome! Very understanding-- if you're out of town, or have any problems whatsoever about the class, he will respond through e-mail or discussion board within 24 hours. I wish he could be all of my class professors! I highly recommend him.

I took this course online this semester and I am happy to say that Mr. Robinson is an amazing teacher that is more than willing to help out any student that is willing to ask for help. Anytime I had a question or issue he was very understanding and patient. He deserves and A+ rating all across the board! Take this course!

Professor Robinson truly cares about his students. He responds quickly to questions or concerns and likes to crack jokes. His labs are challenging and fun. I highly recommend this professor.

Good teacher. Everything is online, and you have a time frame to complete each assignment. If you have the time to do the work, it is easy.

Decent professor. He won't actually teach much of the class since it is online but the content is simple enough to understand. Time consuming but easy class if you take advantage of the fact that it is online.

I took the class over summer and I thought he gave plenty of time to complete assignments. There were 10 labs and 8 quizzes with only one lab being particularly hard. He lets you stop and resume quizzes with no time limit so you can ready through chapter assignments while you take the quiz. That was helpful for me. No lectures!

Best online class I have taken. Very helpful and actually engages. Also is very supportive and organized which is extremely helpful in an online class. Always gives reminders for assignments due.

I LOVED Professor Robinson! He was so understanding and lenient. His main goal was for students to learn something. Weekly discussion boards and labs, 3 quizzes, and one paper due at the end. VERY EASY GRADER. He offers a lot of extra credit as well. Take this class if you need an easy science class with a lab! Best decision I've made this far.

He truly wants you to learn from this class. I had some questions about my final paper and he got back to me quickly and was a huge help in leading me down the right path. As long as you do the reading and assignments you will get an A. He also gives extra credit which is awesome. Super fun class to take (even though I'm not a science person)

Textbook definitely needed for his discussion boards and quizzes. DB and lab every week, and he wants meaningful conversations in the DB. But he's an amazing grader and you can tell he truly loves geography and teaching. He has virtual class for extra credit and is hilarious. I would definitely take his classes again.

He is a really sweet old man. He is very knowledgeable and qualified to teach Human-Environment Geography. He gives great feedback when grading things and encourages further discussion with him. He is there for you if you need him. He loves teaching and keeps you entertained.

He's a nice teacher. You can get by with a good grade with just a little bit of effort. You can also work ahead : )

Professor Robinson is a very kind man. As long as you put in the effort and participate in class you'll easily get an A. He grades incredibly fast and gives a lot of feedback. The paper rubric is a little ambiguous but otherwise everything is very clear. I definitely recommend his classes!!

I liked Prof. Robinson! He graded kind of tough at the beginning of the semester but then he chilled out. Really easy to get into contact with and gives you tons of feedback on submissions.

Professor Robinson was great! I took GEOG-1050 as an online class during the summer semester (2022). There was a good amount of writing required but that makes sense with it being a 4 credit course/lab. Even with a heavier workload, I really enjoyed his class and his thorough feedback. He was always very caring and a great person in my opinion.

Professor Robinson was a great professor and you could tell he had a lot of passion towards his teaching. He did assign quite a few assignments and there was a 5-7 page paper for the final, but he made checkpoints throughout the entire semester to ensure you didn't wait until the last minute to write it.

he is great. i'm not good at science in general but his class was easy enough and if you didnt know what you were doing he was easily accessible. he is the fastest grading prof. I have ever had he literally will grade things within minutes of you turning it in and he does genuinely grade it & give feedback. some labs were hard but just ask for help

He gives good feedback on everything and is very flexible. Each week generally consists of reading the chapter, doing a discussion board post (just one response and one reply to a peer- no word requirements), and a lab (think more assignment than lab report). One paper is due at the end of the semester (researching a climate issue). Good professor!

Very easy GenEd - weekly assignments never took longer than an hour to complete. He was also very un-picky when it came to grading the final paper. Super nice guy from what I've interacted with.

Very passionate professor and you know what to expect each week for the class. He does a very excellent job grading assignments immediately after submission. If you're looking to take an easy science with a lab elective, this is the professor to choose.
