Excellent Teacher. Have had him for 3 semesters now, and is the last class I can take with him, and defiently bummed about it! Very Interesting and knows his material. He is a excellent Psychology Statistics teacher, dont take anyone else but him for this class. Just Wonderful all around! TAKE HIM!!!!! :)

I hate this class. The material is stuff we learned in middle school! The professor only makes it worse with his monotone voice and he constantly seems to be yelling. It actually hurts my ears. The class is easy, but boring for people with more than 2 brain cells.

Scott is an amazing professor. Very clear and precise. With most of the classes he teaches he encourages students to use their notes/book during tests. With his statistics class, you dont even have to buy a book. Only thing you need is a $5 packet from the bookstore. I would encourage everyone to take at least one of his classes!

I have now taken three of Scott's classes (101, 230, 266) and he's an absolutely excellent teacher. Clear, opinionated, we're always out of class early, and his tests are a cinch as long as you listened. Uses the book but is completely unnecessary to buy one--he covers everything in notes. Just beware: he tells the same jokes every semester.

I loved this class! Dr. Silberman was down to Earth and extremely helpful. He never tried to trick you, what he went over in class was on the test, so take notes. He made the topic interesting and fun. I'd recommend him to anybody!

Ive taken 3 classes with this professor and he is amazing! He is really down to earth and is easy to follow. He allows 6 absences until he drops you and his tests are super easy. He tells funny stories and is easy to get along with. No homework, so do well on the tests. Easy A to get in any class!

Awesome teacher! Makes a very difficult concept crystal clear. Best of all, he summarized a $200 book down to a packet of only what you need to know. Break everything down step by step. Keep good note and you will get an A. Wish I had other classes to take from him.

Dr. Silberman was an excellent teacher. Very easy going and always kept the class in order, all of our lessons where on schedule according to syllabus and he kept the class entertaining. I have had Scott as a professor for PSY101, PSY266, PSY267, and currently am in his PSY290 class. He is an extremely helpful teacher and is very thorough on the material. He makes class the class book himself so it is cheaper and has exactly what you need to know in the book. I strongly recommend him for any first timers in Psych & Psych Majors.

Awesome teacher! Easy class if you show up and pay attention. The exams are relatively easy and if you study, you should get at least a B in the class. Homework is worth a lot of points and is mandatory if you want a good grade but it is very simple and takes no time at all. Good class, good teacher, would recommend!

This is my second class with Prof. Silberman and he again manages to teach a difficult class to the point where any one can understand, we used a reading packet that coast less than $10 and he makes students understand the language of Stats

I loved his class! Very interesting material, got me thinking about majoring in psychology. Scott is hilarious and always clarifies any questions you may have. Doesn't give much homework, just be sure to take notes for the quizes and you'll be fine! Definitely recommend taking his class to anyone

Scott is just great, didn't use the textbook all year, I could have save $200 but oh well :/ he's very organized and clear about what's going to be on the tests and the tests are easy if you pay the slightest bit of attention. I was in a hybrid class but everything you needed to know he went over the one day we met a week.

This is one of the best teachers you could get. If you need help, he will talk to you before a test and go over the materials which helped me a ton. He is always very clear and makes class interesting and fun. He knows his stuff and you can really learn something from him. He is the best teacher I have had at CGCC.

If you need a PSY course, Dr. Silberman is the only one to take! He does his very best to make sure the information covered is clear and easy to remember. The tests are a little daunting, and he always requires an end of semester project, but if you pay attention you'll pass no problem. The textbooks are fun and usually cheap too!

Scott is so funny. He's kind of quirky, but he's really good at his subject and teaching. I took a hybrid class where we only met once a week, so we had homework every week, but it's only two questions about what you covered in the lecture. TAKE GOOD NOTES!! Tests are based off of what is covered in lectures.

Dr. Silberman was honestly one of the most easiest teachers I've ever had. But that isn't all that matters, he really knows his stuff. Every lecture we had he would make skeleton notes which basically contain everything you'll know for future exams, just study the skeleton notes and theres no reason why you shouldn't get an A.

He typically tells you what you need to know for each test, and throughout the semester there are 10 online assignments which are very easy. He will also curve his tests, usually adding back 1-2 points each time. Fantastic teacher who is very funny and very passionate about his subject!

Although I didn't learn a whole lot from his class he was a fantastic teacher who made the class interesting. It wasn't a dreadful class and as long as you did decent on the tests you would pass the class.

This class was super easy. Easy long as you show up. The test are the exact same as the study guide. There is only about 15 minutes of homework a week

I took this class online due to COVID-19, Scott made the classes, quizzes, and exams structured and easy to maneuver through. He makes notes for students to use while following along in his YouTube lectures and PowerPoints. Everything he talked about in these lectures showed up on his quizzes/exams which made studying very easy.

Prof Silberman is the first professor I have taken the time to rate but I cannot say enough positive things about this class and professor! His class is so clearly structured, he grades super fast/gives clear feedback, his lectures and notes are easy to follow and study, and really cares about his students. I wish he could teach all my classes!

Professor Silberman is a great teacher. The course goes along with a course handout and Silberman creates lectures for each section so it was easy to understand, which it was. If you pay attention to the lecture, you'll do fine on the quizzes. There's also a lab along with a quiz each week that's pretty easy.

Mr. Silberman made my research methods class. The man teaches in a very unique but effective way, utilizing a packet that you as the student follow along with. Research methods can be quite boring however he has found a way to make it not boring. The final project is also a lot of work but the work is absolutely worth it. You will learn a lot.

Probably my favorite professor I've had during my college career so far. He provides "skeleton notes" for you to add to and follow along during his lectures which was extremely helpful. As long as you listen and take notes during his lectures, you will pass the class. I purchased the required textbook for this course, but it was not used once.

Is this a class of a comedy show because it is great!! He makes the subject of research methods understandable while being hilarious. Also, he is a great teacher who cares about you. He has been accommodating to my situation and I am grateful.

Prof. Scott Silberman is a very responsible professor. Assignments and exams are always graded quickly. Psychology is a very difficult course, a lot of new words and concepts, but I learned it easily with the help of the skeleton notes and videos he provided. I highly recommend his class to you.

Hands down one of the best at CGCC! Do whatever you can to take PSY290 with professor Silberman - don't even look at other professors.

I think Professor Silberman is the only professor I've ever had who I can confidently give a 5-star rating. He's a fast grader and gives feedback almost immediately, all his assignments have clear instructions, and if you watch his videos of him going over the reading packet you are basically guaranteed to pass the quizzes and labs.

Dr. Scott is the best his class is very organized and not very busy work. Make Sure you read the packet and watch the videos if you want to do good on the exams. There was a final paper it was a little challenging but definitely will learn a lot and if you try you will get a good grade.

If you're considering taking this class, you absolutely have to with Dr. S. He offers so much help and makes the final project less stressful by breaking it down into parts. YOU MUST GO TO CLASS. If you do, you'll get A's on the labs, quizzes and exams. He's the best, wish I could take another class with him!

Dr. Silberman's class is well-organized and engaging. The lectures and course materials make the subject understandable. Using Unstuck study alongside the textbook and videos helped me excel in this class.

By far the BEST professor I've ever had, his work was difficult at times but he made this course so fun that working hard was easy, even more easy than a trip to the zoo!

Easy class with light workload, hilarious, actually learned something. Attendance is not entirely mandatory, but with how much fun his class is you'll want to come. Most assignments are also gone over in class, but they're never super time-intensive. Take any of his classes if you're a psych major at CGCC, trust.
