Okay, this guy is definitely a good professor. Very fair. Doesn't murder your grade. If you do have way decent, you get a B. Simple as that.

By far the best teacher i've had at HFCC. Leads really good discussions. Very helpful and motivatiing. we read 3 books the whole semester and wrote 4 papers. If you read and give a good effort...it's a gread class.

This teacher is the biggest sweetheart. He is very lenient. He doesn't mark off points for grammer, and he is very laid back. If you want an easy A take his class, just participate a lot.

I'm not going to exagerrate, but Mr.Still is the best English teacher I've ever had. His classes are very interesting, and he loves it when we participate in class discussions. I strongly recommend him.

I was dreading this class, I hate english. However, I loved this class and feel that I learned a great deal from him. His class was fun, informative, and dealt with modern issues that made it enjoyable. Grades fairly, helps with your papers, and the assignments are fun to do and not overly hard. Would love to take another class taught by him.

Taking this on line was hard at first but he is always on top of things and is cool about letting you make up assignments! He's a easy going guy as well!!

He's an awesome guy, The class still required work, so don't think you can sleep through it. But he is very helpful, so, if you have to take 132, take his class.

He's the best teacher I've ever had! He knows his stuff & you learn while having fun. You're not afraid to ask stupid questions & you'd want to participate in class. He's werid at times, like when he's acting out parts from the book, but it's funny weird! :) Would definetly recommend him for any class! Really wish I'd taken him for 131..

I HATE english and I suck at it, but Scott Stills was great! You will learn alot and your not overwelmed or push beyond your limit. He is a very understanding person. I HIGHLY recommend this guy! Few english teacher at HFCC are as good and NICE as this guy is! Take his class now!

This professor is extremely hot and smart. He is very nice and more than loves to help anyone with anything. There is too much work but if you follow along, you'll be fine. At the end of his class, everyone should be better in English.

Oh my goodness Scott Still is gorgeous! Thats the first great part about him. Hes also extremely helpful and kind and its pretty much impossible to fail his class. Hes very engaging and of course easy on the eyes so you never wanna miss his class. Hes adorable!

I took this class 50% online and it was one of the best English classes I've taken. He is a very good teacher, very friendly and makes his class interesting. You do have to work hard for your grade but he helps you every step of the way. He is very helpful and gives a lot of feedback. I would definately take him again if I get the chance.

still, is such a good teacher . you can really tell that he's passionate about what he does and making sure that the message of the topic is conveyed proporley,therefore you will be forced to use your brain from time to time, but other than that he's relativly easy due to his helpfulness. i took him for eng. 131&132 which u hav to do less in 132

Mr. Still is very nice (and handsome). He made class so interesting and was very clear about everything. He chose interesting books for us to read and his tests were pretty easy. However, he did grade papers a little hard. Overall, I highly recommend him!

Mr. Still was an excellent teacher! I learned so much from him! He really takes the time to get to know his students and help them. If you didn't love English and Literature before this class you will when you leave! I will adjust my schedule to take him for ENG 132.

....Pretty easy class. It was partially on-line and the quizzes are all online so there is no way u can't ace every quiz...hes a real cool guy, understanding, but he grades hard on papers...but other then that it's a good class...

Mr.Still is a wonderful professor. His online quizzes are easy, as long as you read the book. The papers we wrote were not stressful. I highly recommend him!

The teacher is not an easy A but if you study and follow the instructions, you're pretty much on track. He explains everything very clearly. Helped me a lot specially with my last research paper. Take this teacher if you really want to learn. I recommend this teacher. Oh! and I got an A in the class :)

Fantastic professor. You can tell that he really has a passion for teaching. He is extremely helpful and his grading is very fair. I wound up with an A in the class and if you do your work, you can easily do the same.

I took the 50% online class that Mr. Still offers. We read awesome novels, but we had to write lots of papers. All of the quizzes are online! Mr. Still is a fun teacher, but is very strict with grades. I recommend Mr. Still as an English 132 professor.

Had this class during the spring semester, he is the easist teacher and will make sure you get a good grade. Mr.Still even proof reads your essays before you turn them in to make sure you do good

AWESOME INSTRUCTOR! His teaching style was professional yet laid back and he was funny! He clearly took his work seriously and had a passion for it. If you read the novels, do the quizzes(which are easy, IF YOU DO THE READING!) and show up for class discussion, it is virtually impossible to get anything lower then an "A". I HIGHLY RECOMMENED HIM!

I would recommend him to anyone i have for winter 2013 eng 132. he is extremely helpful his assignment have you use your critical thinking very easy to comprehend. his class is more about the students then him. he has discussion for topics in each semester. love it casey

I LOVE SCOTT STILL!!!! This guy is amazing!! I had him for fall 2012 and he cares about his students so much! He stresses out about us more than we do. He truly deserves the title of "educator".

Honestly, the best english class i have ever taken!! This class isnt a class you can take a nap in and expect to pass, It isnt the easiest but ive learned so much, Mr. Still is so helpful and tells you exactly what he expects from you. His class is always interesting. Treat him the way you would like him to treat you and youll be absolutely great.

He knows how to be friendly yet strict when needed. He is not an easy grader but I got higher marks than I expected. 4 short essays and 2 easy final papers that aren't even essays.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

50% online class is great, he is such an enthusiastic teacher...he really embodies what our education system should be. He is not critical but constructive. Its not easy but if you are truly trying to be a better writer you should push yourself. He is funny and never makes you feel stupid! You will remember him forever he is that great!

Teacher is laid back but can be rude at times. Quizzes are straightforward. Wrote 2 papers, teacher give comments on rough draft but mark paper down when you follow his advice. If you have taken him for 131 and 132 then you will be okay, he favor those students.

One of the best teachers I have ever had. I was never a stellar writer just average, but his lessons are very interesting if you have your ears open. I wasn't expecting a teacher of his caliber at a community college. He is very professional and also very laid back he takes his job seriously but is never critical of your work just constructive.

I had Mr. Still for an online Spring semester. Mr. Still was a great teacher. His work was very clear in what he wanted us to do. His dates and his spelling were all correct. He responded to emails even at 3am. I only wish I was going to have him for 132. I would take this class over again in a heart beat!

I actually enjoyed writing my assignments for this class. He allowed us to pick the discussion topics and essay topics, so everything we wrote about was something we enjoyed. I loved going to class, and it didn't hurt that he was attractive...

Amazing teacher. My class was 50% online, so we only met once a week. I wish we met twice. We wrote a few in class and out of class essays and were given a good amount of time. I wanted to take him for English 132, but my out of school schedule didn't permit it. Highly recommend.

Professor Still was easily one of the best professors I've ever had. He made the class interesting and it was very insightful. What was really great was he let the class choose our essay topics so they were always something that we could actually like writing about. He's serious about his job and his students I would recommend him to everyone.

The BEST English teacher EVER! He lets you as a class vote on the topics you want to write about so they are not boring topics. Gives you material to go with the topics. He is willing to help you if you need an extra help. Great feedback and very fare at his grading. Easy A if you take your time and don't slop your paper together the night before

Still is honestly the best teacher i have ever had. He cares for his students. His lectures are clear and he will do his best to help a fellow student. Although, he is a tough grader , you actually will be become a better writer because of it. i took him for 131 and 132 and hoping to take literature just so i can be in his teaching ora. thanks!!

Still was probably one of the best professors I've had since being at Henry Ford. There's a few essays and quizzes but they're really easy. He's also a really easy grader. He's always willing to help, he replies to emails and he can help you one on one in his office as well. Recommend him to everyone, HES AWESOME.

Mr. Still is one the most coolest English instructor on campus. He is down-to-earth and knowledgeable. Expect a lot of critical reading and quizzes on moodlerooms. Attendance and participation is a huge grading factor. Honestly, pay attention and do what you're told. Life is grand in earning an A in his class. Overall, he is recommended.

Being that it was my first year out of high school I was so relieved to find a professor like Still. I took the hybrid course so we only meet once a week but his lectures were very interactive and it made going to class enjoyable. He also does class theme's in which the curriculum is based around, our's was sex and gender. Very interesting!

Very good teacher easy A

It was a great experience taking ENG131 online with Mr. Still. The class is an easy A as long as you participate in the posts and actually do the assignments. He's so positive, encouraging, and funny when he leaves feedback after grading an assignment. You are required to write at least one times essay on campus.

i had this professor for Eng 131 and 132 and he was amazing. I respect him a lot and wish he would reach other classes. A few essay but not to bad.. kinda easy and he helps A LOt. TAKE HIM!!!!!!!!

It usually isn't hard for me to construct well-written papers, but he's pretty rough when it comes to grading them. The class wasn't impossible, he just had high expectations.

Super nice guy who is very thorough and gives great feedback. If you try hard and know how to write it is very possible to score into the high 90's on his essays. He was great to take online, and graded and answered emails in a timely manner. I learned a lot and was able to improve my writing thanks to his online course. Take him for 8 weeks!

I took him for 131 online and 132 hybrid course. I consider myself to be a good writer and scored well on all papers. According to classmates this wasn't the case for everyone. He is quick to reply to emails. He will give you the help you need if you seek it! He's approachable. Keep in mind online classes are less personal than classes that meet.

Great teacher!! I do not want to say he is an "easy A" because some of the assignments pulled at every thinking receptor I had, but I would say that the grade you get, is the effort you put in the class. He grades everything very exceptional, and gives you great feedback. Great teacher, he genuinely cares about you, and I would HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!!!

Prof. Still was very excellent through out the semester. He gives more than enough time to submit you work. He responds to emails very quickly and he is never too busy to elaborate on material if you don't understand it. This class was online didn't require too much work like most would. He's also not a tough a grader. Pretty Fair

I took his class online for eng 132-97. Yes very good teacher. His tests are heavy but give enough time to finish the test. and he answers emails same day.

Took this as an online summer course. Very easy course as long as you read the 2 short books. This course consists of quizzes, tests, and a few papers. Prof. Still allows rough drafts which he grades for participation and if you followed the corrections you'll get an A. I never received lower than a 92% on an assignment.

Proff. Still is a respectable teacher. What you will learn/discuss in class is actually beneficial to life outside of college. Lots of reading but not difficult. Gives enough time for assignments. Lots of group discussions. Textbooks used. Great personality. Drops 3 lowest quiz grades. Would recommend & take again.

This is a college english class, so you'd be foolish to think reading is not prominent. All our readings and writings were interesting and easy to read and do. Discussions dissected all the material making it even easier to understand the readings. He is a more than fair grader & an amazing english professor. Would take for all courses if possible.

I took him online and to say the least in the beginning of the semester there is a lot of quizzes but later on you just have 2 big assignments which are fairly short. Very easy A .Highly recommend to take online.

Lots of reading & writing but it is interesting material which helps. Professor pretty good... I missed an important class day because I unexpectedly had to put my dog down & got lectured about missing class and him having to repeat himself to me and how I should've attended class. Other than that, would recommend! Very funny and good professor.

Professor Still is fair and respectful. This online class wasn't harsh. So you have to be careful n work for it. This class includes discussion boards, quizzes, 6 different writing assignments, and homework. It is made up of four segments and varying topics each segment-which are chosen by class votes. Above all, you have to put in work to do well.

Prof. Still was awesome. It was a lot of work, as it was a summer course (7-weeks), and it moved at a rapid pace! However, he was good at giving feedback that didn't come across as condescending, which I appreciated. It was a bit of reading and there was research to be done, but he's clear on the timelines and grading criteria for said timelines.

This was a 100% online COLLEGE LEVEL English course. So yes, expect to earn your grade. You will read books and write essays and a research paper. If you are looking for an easy grade- look elsewhere. If you want to learn how to read critically, how to write correctly, and how to research - take this class. Reasonable and easy quizzes- no tricks.

He is very nice, and he can be very accommodating when it comes to assignments!

He's a very generous teacher who will help you as much as possible. He does give lots of work however if you do the work and read the directions you'll easily pass.

Makes class very enjoyable and always brightens my day. Just make sure you get all your work done and don't miss class too often and it'll all be smooth sailing from there

I loved this class. Mr. Still is charismatic and approachable, his teaching style keeps class interesting. He is v clear with instructions. Class mostly consisted of reading some poems/books then writing a couple essays which he gives you plenty of time to do. No final, only a research essay he breaks down to make easy. 20/10 recommend!

Really greta guy and professor. He can be tough but its a tough love sort of thing, if you do the work he will reward you.

he's a good professor, this is probably the first English class in my life where I actually learned ways to improve in English writing. He's a bit rough with his jokes and people who are sensitive will definitely take him the wrong way, for example some of the low ratings here.

This is a teacher who cares and wants us to succeed. He works hard to put together the curriculum, and it's very apparent. He's a great benefit to the teaching community.

He's a really solid professor. His lectures are actually entertaining. Tough grader, but it's beneficial and he really cares. As long as you show up on time and do the coursework, you'll be okay. He does cuss a little, we're all grown up. deal with it. Do not be late or else he will not let you in. Stay on top of your work and you will be good.
