I'm Looking for information on this professor...anyone who has had him write back!!!

I have had scott for a clouple classes and is one of the greatest teachers i have had to date. You will enjoy him.

One of the most helpful teachers I've had...at all levels! Will bend-over-backwards for the student. His exams are a little challenging, but he'll prepare you for it. He makes the class very enjoyable. Easy A if you do what he assigns.

My favorite teacher at SCSU. So much fun and pretty easy. He wants all his students to get A's.

Scott is, by far, the best professor here. He is incredibly helpful and is the most patient person on staff. He makes things fun to learn and uses different techniques to make things easy to remember. His exams cover the important stuff.

Scott is a great teacher, and in the same breathe is probably the best teacher here. He is very energetic and enthusiastic about his job. He can teach you a lot and doesn't put you to sleep.

Scott is one of the best teachers i have ever had. He is very helpful and gives alot of group projects which is a benefit to you because then everyone gets all the points. I took this in the summer so it was alot more work but i still recieved an A.

There was a lot of material that you had to learn but this professor takes the time to help you out and if very fair on grading. If you come to class everyday and try your best you won't have any problems. The best professor I've had at this University

Very easy class and an awesome prof. His tests are pretty easy and there isn't much for homework. If you go to class, you should pull off an A easy.

Cool guy...great teacher...gives you crap for skippin' but never takes attendance. Lot of group stuff and mostly a real fun class. Take his class!!!

Everybody says this but this is the truth, BEST PROFESSOR THAT I'VE EVER HAD! I'm not too into the info but, he gets it through very efficiently. Take this class from him he's funny, nice, cooperative, and always there when you need somebody!

scott is an awesome professor--my favorite by far! he knows what he's talking about and he makes learning interesting even though there's a lot of material to cover. offers study guides, review sessions, and an wants to see you succeed!

He is very nice and understanding. He makes class fun by his enthusium and extra activities. He helps students prepare for exams well. I recommend him to everyone and anyone.

I think he is a funny guy and had a great time the first few classes, but then I realized he favors the guys in class and let's them slide by a lot easier than girls...interesting. I dont think that is fair...

Scott is very passionate and knows a lot about what he's talking about. Papers are so easy to write in this class! I literally wrote half my papers out of my ass and I got A's on both! He also tells you exactly what is on the test if you attend the extra study meeting so you ace it if you go!

Most helpful Professor I've had at SCSU. And that's HUGE, especially coming from the Communication Department!

Awesome prof will go out of his way to make sure you get a good grade. Should be a very easy A if you do the work and show up for class.

Scott is one of the best professors at this university. There is one big speech and he makes you feel so comfortable doing it. He tells you exactly what is on the tests, there is no reason you shouldn't get a B or higher.

This class is required, so when you take it, take it with him for sure!I actually enjoy going to this class...and it's the only one I like. He is super helpful and tons of fun. I have NEVER done good on tests and I do amazingly on his. Wells is a good professor for sure!!!

I really enjoyed this class!! I didn't have that much interest in English until this class!! He made it so much fun, and English everyone knows is not the most exciting subject but he made it so much fun!! I would definetly recommend to take this class with him!!

Only 1 speech!! Scott was cheerful, helpful, and a very easy to understand. He's always open for questions and makes morning classes a lot more bearable!

Went from being terrified of giving a speech to actually thinking speech communication as a minor might not be the worst. Very effective prof - try to take his class if at all possible. You will laugh a lot and by the time the semester is over, you won't mind the thought of giving a speech. Really!

BY FAR!!!! the best professor I have EVER had. Please take him, it will change your look on giving speeches for the rest of your life. He is a super nice guy that is comical so that you stay awake and attentive during his classes. I have become a more confident person because of this amazing man. TAKE HIM!!

I thought this class would be really boring, but Scott had a strange way of making it interesting.He's very helpful and lenient, in some ways. But not easy, which I found to be good.

Wow, what a great guy. Makes lectures interesting and fun. Very clear on material. 3 tests, not too bad, 3 papers, (2) 2 pages and (1) 3 pages, one speech. Overall a great teacher who you can tell loves his job, and wants everyone to do well in his class.

Scott Wells is an amazing person! He loves his job and the students he works with-- and it shows! Any class you take with him will be a blast. Also, if you join the Speech and Debate team, you will gain endless knowledge about public speaking from this man.

Great Professor! He is very helpful and understanding. He is willing to work with you as long as he sees your putting in the effort. Tests are somewhat difficult but study the materiel and the notes you should be taking in class and you will do great! There are 5 speeches and I hate Pub. Speaking but he makes it so you feel very comfortable n ready

Wells is very helpful and clear with directions. He uses different activites to keep your attention. If you attended the class and do the assigned homework--you'll be just fine.

SUCH A GOOD GUY. Very laid back and also very clear on everything. Does a great job at explaining and always presents information a new way to keep you interested.

Scott's really helpful and you can tell he loves what he does. He's really good about answering questions and providing feedback. I would say he's a pretty easy grader, so as long as you do the assignments and go to class you'll do just fine.

Good class! Sometimes the group projects were quite extensive but Scott was forgiving to certain circumstances.

Scott was super funny and very helpful. He assigns readings and has the occasional quiz. His tests are easy if you pay attention and read the book although I did well and did not read everything. He has random attendance days but most days are not counted. He is very easy to reach and talk to. My favorite professor yet.

Professor Wells is wonderful. I would highly recommend him. He is passionate about the subject that he teaches in and likes to maintain a good energy with the class. He is positive and honest. Be sure to keep up in the class because the work can be easy, but you do not want to get behind. He likes to challenge you on research in some speeches.

Scott is a great professor! He's super funny and energetic. I'd completely recommend him to anyone. Attendance varied; sometimes he took it, other times not. He went over all of the material which was really helpful. Always held review days before the tests. Ideal professor! Lots of assignments but they weren't too hard.

Great guy, you can tell he loves what he does. He only gave one exam all year. He give out paper assignments, but they are not hard. Some in class movies. Attendance is kinda necessary, but it would be a problem because his class is interesting and he is a great guy!! I would take him again, he is very fair and does not pile on the homework!!

Dr. Wells is an extremely easy professor to deal with. He's very clear in his demands for the class and what he expects from his students. His class was incredibly easy (permitting you show up to class and turn in the assignments.) Overall, he was definitely the best prof I had that semester.

If you show up to class and show that you put some sort of effort towards writing your speeches and show that you are trying o get better at public speaking, you will do great in his class. Will Definitely look for him in other CMST classes and recommend him to others.

He makes coming to class the easiest part of your day. The material isn't extremely hard but he really teaches in a way that you grasp the material the first time you hear it.

One of the BEST professors at SCSU. I would recommend him to any student. I took CMST 306 and was one of my favorite classes I have taken. Prof Wells is an easy going guy and will make you laugh. I suggest everybody to take a class from him before you graduate!

Super easy grading and never penalizes for being late. He's really nice and cares for his students. Wants to make sure you understand everything. The final is a speech that you record with a 2 person audience. You can BS everything and still pass. thats what i did :)

You can tell he's very passionate about the topic. He's interactive w/students & makes lecture easy to listen to. Be aware, there's a total of five 1-3 page papers throughout the semester and for 4/5 papers, everyone was required to present them (nothing too difficult). Dr Wells is overall a great professor!

He is such a great professor! Just one worksheet due each week, which are only 10 questions, straight from the textbook. He gives great feedback for your speech (you only have 1). And, he is always available to email and responds very quickly! Definitely take if you can.

TAKE THIS CLASS. If you are worried about public speaking take this online class. You have weekly worksheet to fill out from them book (SO BUY THE BOOK) and then 2 intro video's you have to submit and then just 1 5-7 min. speech in front of an audience of 2 people. He is a great professor! He cares about his students and wants them to succeed!

I was really dreading taking this class, but Professor Wells made it easy to understand and complete what was expected. The class consists of weekly worksheets, two short speeches, and one 5-7 min speech in front of 2 people you choose. Would take another class with this professor for sure.

Dr. Wells is great! There's weekly worksheets, three exams, and one big speech assignment, but he gives you a lot of time to prepare is willing to help if you need anything. He's a VERY easy going guy and a nice grader. Definitely would take a class with him again!

Professor Wells was such a wonderful person to learn from. He made it easy to want to come to class as he was engaging and knew what he was talking about. He doesnt give up on his students and is truly there for them. He loves a pop quiz that is worth " 4853250" participation points and most of the assignments are longer papers but on any topic.

HEAVY with group projects. Do the work and you'll get by just fine. He cares about his students and encourages us to learn from each other. I took this class online/ asynchronous and I really enjoyed it!! It only had one big assignment (paper/speech)

great teacher, watch out for deadlines. 3 speeches, start slow and easy, but the last speech youll have about a week to completely prepare.

Prof. Wells makes the class engaging. The speeches can be challenging, but using Unstuckstudy alongside the textbook helps prepare. Overall, a rewarding experience.

Scott Wells is one of the best professors I have had so far! He makes public speaking so much easier for me and what it looks like for other students. He makes the class engaging and easy to learn. One thing of advice is to watch for deadlines but he is super open so emailing him is a great option.
