This is the second time I have had Drake at RCC. I also had him as one of my math teachers at my high school.

Mr. Drake is by far the best math teacher I've ever had. He is very professional and very passionate about math. I have a lot of trouble learning math, but I have never walked away from a concept unlearned in his class.I would highly recommend Mr. Drake

Mr. Drake is one the best Math teachers in Moreno Valley that is really passionate about Math. He explains the material really clear. Even if you're not a Math major he'll make you feel like Math is one of the best subjects. He get's you really prepared for further Math courses.

DRAKE IS A VERY HELPFUL TEACHER. HE CAN TEACH ANYONE MATH. HE'S NOT TOO EASY, BUT VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND.

Very FUNNY teacher. this class was very easy. he makes the subject fun and interesting. 20 questions on the test. No midterm only the final. always available during office hours. he really knows how to teach math, Trust me.

I LOVE HIM!!! One because he's my kind of humor which makes him sexy in my book ^_~ Also, because he loves what he is doing and he is so helpful. His exams are super hard. If I explain about his exam, he always gives 1-2 problem which needs creativity, which means the problem is not anywhere in the book. When students tell him that exams are hard, he talks about grade inflation, and easy exam is a kind of sin to students who studied more. If you lost two problems on exam, u're getting B.

He is the best math teacher I have had. I've tried to take Math 35 three times. He makes it almost impossible to fail. But you do have to be self motivated to actually learn the material. I am going to try and take all my math classes with him.

I really enjoyed this class.Professor Drake explains things clearly, and he cares. He has a no nonsense approach, but a bit of a sense of humor which I enjoyed.Take his class!

Drake really knows his subject well and he teaches it well. I took the hybrid coarse which seemed to be more difficult. Most of the grade is dependent on your tests and i must say the tests are not easy at all.

I'm an English major and i HATE math, but i got an A in his class!! He lectures in a way where students understand. He's very nice and helpful. you NEED TO DO THE HOMEWORK if you wanna pass, although he doesn't grade each problem but trust me just do it cuz you'll pass! Also, his study guides are like the tests! he's also cute and funny!

Mr. Drake is a good teacher. He answers questions thoroughly and is very helpful. But he only grades on 3 tests and 10% homework and his tests are kind of difficult if you're not a math major.

Drake is easy going and really likes doing math. He is pretty clear in lecture and homework isn't to bad. He gives practice tests but there nothing like the real test. He has a good sense of humor in class but his tests are no joke.

He was a great teacher. The way he explained everything was clear and he even sometimes showed tricks to make it easier. If you show up every day there will be no problem on the test. Keep in mind that he gives quizes every day but it helps you become better. Also the homework he gives are mostly odd so you can check if you are doing it right.

The most fair teacher I've ever had. If you don't get the concept or don't do the homework, his exams will definitely be difficult for you. He has enough time and willingness to answer any of your question in his office hour. Just ask him anything you need to. a real teacher

Amazing! I took his math 35 hybrid class and I got a good grade even though I hate math. There is a quiz every 1 to 2 weeks and a midterm and final which he gives a study guide for thats almost the same as th real test. I went from an F in a different math 35 class to an A in his. He is very clear and if you pay attention you will do great!

Drake was amazing, once again. I took him for alg 2 last year for summer and took him again this year for trig, and i wasn't dissapointed. I loved his class, and his tests are really easy. He has a witty personality and he is super hot.

Drake is wonderful! Probably one of the best math teachers I've had in years. If you let him know you'll be gone he'll work out assignments with you, suuuper helpful, good notes, and keeps you engaged. I didn't have a textbook bec you only need it for hw (not collected but good review for daily quizzes.) Definitely take his class, he's great!

Good teacher-knows his subject and explains it well, although quickly. Tests are hard and has lots of quizzes and all credit is from tests and quizzes. Almost no Xcred. In summer, no office hours and has little time for questions. Good sense of humor. Don't miss class and do homework (not reqird) you will be ok.

Seriously great math teacher. Took him over the summer and was very impressed with his teaching style(s) because he addresses and explains things in multiple ways, not just what "worked" for him like most teachers would do. Also very fair with grading and tests. Highly reccommend for anyone whose forte is not math.

Drake is an amazing teacher! He thoroughly explains the lecture and is more then happy to answer any questions. Plus he is funny! Also, he gives out midterm review worksheets which is beyond helpful. This class can be simple if you actually put in the effort. I would definitely recommend him.

Excellent professor, knows the material, and teaches it very well. The exams are essentially the same as the sample exams. There is a lot of homework for the 6 week course, but it's doable.

If you need MAT 65, then this is the professor to take. His instructions are very clear, you get homework every night but its not due until you take you exams. He goes over the homework in class so you understand it. Easy instructor!

Drake is a GREAT teacher, but he is also extremely tough. His tests are not easy and make up the majority of the grade. Homework doesn't really matter but you need to be really good at math in general to do well in his class.

Best Math Teacher Ever! Had Trig for Summer '12 and Cal1 for Fall '14. I took Cal1 before and failed, but Drake made Cal1 clear for me! I was able to pass with a B! Don't miss class, listen to his lectures, do your homework and your likely to pass. Tests are kinda tough. I am happy to hear he is teaching Cal2! Can't wait to take his class again!

Professor Drake is a wonderful professor. I've had him in Math 36, 1A, and 1B. Being in his class has helped me appreciate and understand math in a different light. He loves questions being asked, and is very much so an easy teacher to get along with.

Mr. Drake explains the class very thoroughly and I was able to to understand the material better. He is very quick with his lessons, and make sure to take his study guides seriously, almost everything that will be on the study guide will be on the test.

Gives a ton of homework. Lectures fast to push through the material. Tests were tough. Seems like a lot of people dropped out, high turnover rate in this class. Very approachable for questions. He does not like to give study guides/test reviews. Did I say he expects a ton of homework?

He is a amazing teacher! took him winter and the lectures were long. skipping class will make you lost and a lot of homework. he taught the material very well and makes it more easier to understand. he gives sample tests right so you can study. you don't need the book. I recommend to anyone who has a hard time learning math. very good teacher.

Amazing professor! Although I did not pass the course, the teaching is very thorough. You have to do your homework to better understand the material, (practice) and so you can obviously pass the quizzes and tests. Missing class can set you back quickly. Very considerate in whats going on with the students study/learning skills.

Took Drake for math 1B this last fall term and he is the best math professor I have ever had! He is very approachable and understanding. He makes the material easy to learn and takes his time making sure his students understand the material before moving on. The class was very heavy with work but not difficult. Grade must be worked for.

One of the best professors I've had. He's what you expect out of a Math Professor, and then more. Professor Drake is the best math instructor I've ever had. He never belittles any of his students, and teaches the subject with a passion and humor that you will love!

Amazing professor. I took an AP version of the course in high school and after taking this course I realized I learned nothing. Drake's approach to math is in a way that weaves all the topics together. He also is a very fair man, tests and quizzes are fair if you follow the OPTIONAL homework he assigns. Would definitely recommend.

After having previously failed this course with a different professor, I didn't know what to expect with professor Drake, but it was the best class I have ever been in. His teaching style is wonderful. He is serious when he needs to be but he can have fun when it's appropriate. You get what you give with him, there's no tricks to it. Work hard.

I took the online class. The class is extremely homework heavy, but if you want an A, take it online. I say this because the two tests, the mid-term & final, are really easy. The study guide he hands you is almost an exact replica of the actual test. Oh, and he gives you partial credit. He does accept late HW. HW is long, 6/hrs a wk. Don't slack.

TAKE HIM! He's great, I honestly thought I was going to fail the class midway but if he see's you working your ass for it then he'll be very considerate.

I have never been great at math but he does an amazing job at making the material fairly easy. He does everything he can to help his students understand. We had to do our homework online and it was a lot but even if it was late you receive 75% credit. He's open to questions and he's pretty funny. Great professor! :)

I have taken Drake twice, and I would have continued to take him if he taught the courses I needed by the semesters. He is a great professor, and explains everything always in depth, giving clear understanding.

Mr. Drake was the best math teacher i've ever had. He is super funny and a real nice guy. I took his summer accelerated course so it was very fast. There were only two tests. The midterm and final. All of the hmwk was online (there's a lot of it.) He will do what he can to help you pass. He also replaces lowest test score!

He is really a great teacher. He doesnt go by the book. His lectures are summaries and easier to understand. Super fast paced Bc I took it in the summer. I respect his teaching methods fully. He has many resources to help you besides the book. My Math Lab really helped me through the summer. please practice! It will be all worth it in the end!

Professor Drake is an excellent professor but the grade you earn is dependent on the work you are willing to put into the class. Lectures are clear and is always willing to answer questions. Spends the first 10-15 minutes of class answering questions about the homework.

professor drake is a good teacher. He explains things in his lectures pretty good. His meetings were also helpful in case you didn't understand a certain topic. His exams are very tough though and grades pretty harshly on them if you don't do it step by step. Extremely HW heavy as well HW takes hours to complete. Hw and three exams are all 25%.

I took Mr Drakes Algebra class in HIGH SCHOOL and my youngest brother, took him in college. I tried once to add him, but he didnt have room. Anyway, I never told him, but he inspired me to become a mathematician, because he showed me I can learn math and love it. My little, is a Math teacher btw. Take him, do your work, practice, get tutoring. ;)

I have taken professor drake for a few math classes. My first class I took was college algebra it was slightly difficult but he was an amazing professor. As long as you do your part he does his and hes available most days of the week for tutoring as well. I wish I could have him for all my math classes.

Professor Drake, overall, is an extremely great professor. I took him for Mat36, a class I didn't need but I wanted to take since I like math. He was encouraging me to take additional math classes since I was good at it, and although I could not with my current schedule, I ended up regretting not talking precalc/calc with him.

Professor Drake is a great speaker and tries his hardest to thoroughly answer any questions that students may ask. He begins his class by spending the first half going through homework and any questions. Homework is not graded which makes the stress in the class low. Overall great professor!

TAKE HIM! Easiest Math professor. There is a lot of homework but it will make the exams a laugh. Lectures are short. he provides practice exams, PRACTICE THEM multiple times and you will ace every single one. He is a great professor overall!

Took his 1A class in the spring and passed with an A and his 1B class in the summer and passed with a C. I didn't study for any of his exams as I felt that he did a great job lecturing and reviewing homework. While I feel like you can get away with not studying for 1A, I would very much recommend studying for his summer 1B class. Great professor.

His examples help a lot with the homework. He will let you know what kinds of questions to expect on tests. He's super lenient with grading tests and will give some credit for having a understanding of concept even if answer is wrong. Homework is not graded, so tests make up all of your grade. Only issue is he can say some questionable things.

Professor Drake is a great professor. Whenever I was stuck on a homework problem, he would always get back to me and show me what I was doing wrong. The one thing I didn't care for is the test isn't open notes, and they equate to most of your grade. I had an A up until the final my mind went blank, and I did horribly. I barely passed with a low C.

Drake is very nice and has a nice sense of humor. He clarifies any question and doesnt make you feel dumb. Calc 2 is a very difficult class. Though HW isn't a grade you have to do it to do well. The class consists of 5 "midterm" exams and a final. He doesn't drop the lowest grade. Final is cumulative. Expect to spend a lot time studying. Hard class

If you're not so good at math I recommend you take this class. I've never been good at math and I was able to pass this. He goes over the homework during class and helps you if you have any questions. His study guides are very similar to what the tests are like. They're easy enough to pass. The only thing is that he doesn't do extra credit.

He is an amazing professor and explains the material very well. The class is very organized and you know exactly what lessons he will go over each day. If you miss a class, he has online recorded lectures, but he goes over homework questions in class. The whole class is graded on 5 test scores, but if you study and ask questions, it is not too bad.

Best professor I've had in RCCD, made me become a math major. Professor Drake's passion in Mathematics shows during lectures, making lectures engaging. Your grade is determined from your exam scores. Exams are tough, but fair. No graded homework, though you need to do the homework to do good on exams.

I took his class for college algebra, and I really enjoyed it. You will have to buy the textbook, and he assigns homework, but doesn't collect it. He goes over the homework the next day to answer any questions you may have. The tests are only 10 questions with an extra credit question which can help with future tests. Really amazing professor 10/10

Posts video lectures that MUST be watched. Only issue: these video lectures create a slight disconnect. He doesn't dive deeply into topics during lecture bc he assumes you watch the videos, but the videos don't dive super deeply into topics either, just somewhat surface level. Other than that, do the HW and go to office hours and you'll do great
