Prof Gallagher is very well informed, which makes his discussion-based class less boring. His way of teaching forces you to learn through the textbook & take notes cuz thats the only way youll do well in the 5 quizzes (30%) and cumulative final (25%). Attendanceicipation is worth 20% and the rest goes towards the Marketplace Simulation game.

Sean makes it clear that the class is "discussion-based." Instead, the course is "find something from the chapter to bring up in class and wait for your turn to say it." You aren't actually conversing with your classmates, you're just talking at each other. He is still a nice guy and the Marketplace simulation saves it, and he grades on a curve.

Loved his curves. He curves so the class average is a B+ (88) and then whatever letter grade you fall under you get the highest percent. All you have to do in the class is read and try. He loves to see effort. He is very knowledgeable and a great teacher. Anyone with a bad review is mad they didn't get a good grade on his tests.

Professor Gallagher promoted an interactive learning environment helping the students to always stay engaged. Tests questions were taken directly from the textbook material, so if you took good notes you will do well. Marketplace simulation accounts for a good chunk of your grade, but if you put forth the time and effort you will be fine.

I loved Sean's class; it was appropriately challenging and delivered the content intuitively. I felt performance was evaluated fairly and he repeatedly made the criteria of evaluation clear throughout the semester. All of the homework felt like appropriate prep for the corresponding class sessions and was never excessive. A great class all around.

Personally, I had a great experience with Sean overall. His lectures were engaging and collaborative, which helped me remember the content effectively, and he clearly cared about his students successes. The guy cares more about screaming at his class to participate in "discussions" which is him just asking the answer to a question and getting you to basically teach his lecture. No discussion he just merely repeats what you said. Most classes felt redundant because it was just a regurgitated version of the readings.
