A.M.A.Z.I.N.G I was so happy to take this class with him during Fall 2014. He was so Kind and tried to understand about most of students. it is pretty fast to get an email response from him, also he is not tough grader. I recommend you to take this class with him .you must like it! there is no regret.
Professor Keyani is one of the best professors at CSUN. My major is not marketing but I liked the way he gave lecture and explained the real word issues in marketing. There are 3 exams and he will give you study guide for it. There are 2 group work, you can choose your group so be careful! WSJ readings and summarize it. Overall, best mkt professor.
Prof. Keyani knows the material he teaches and is very helpful; he is crystal clear about what he expects throughout the semester, challenges you in a good way and grades generously. Definitely one of the very best professors I ever had.
Professor Keyani is one of the best teachers at CSUN. Even though he skips some of the chapters and the exams are though, but they are doable. Just read the pages he assigns, you would be supper prepared for his exams. There is a group project as well. Try to get a good group. He is great.
Amazing professor. Pay attention to his lectures and study for the exams and you will get an A. There is a group project so make sure you have good group members.
My favorite professor at CSUN. His lectures don't make u suicidal. They're entertaining, interesting & he creates an environment where students feel comfortable to engage during discussion which makes it even more fun! His exams are easy if u study the pages he assigns. There's 2 group assignments. Great class!
Take his class. I promise you won't regret it. He will tell you what pages to read the week before the exam, READ THOSE PAGES! Really understand them and you will do great :)
3 exams non cumulative. 2 group papers. A few quizzes and 2 page written assignments throughout the semester. Sean is a very sweet guy and will take the time to talk to you and help you improve your grade. Grades VERY hard on the papers. Just follow his rubric to the T and go to the office hours for help.
very manageable. definitely recommend. 2 group projects connected into one at the end. make sure you do not have a lazy group and that will be an easy A/B. tests are easy as long as you study the pages he gives you. individual assignment are easy. take him! He is also so knowledgeable. not bad for a Saturday class.
Engaging lecturer and a great teacher who wants his students to succeed. 3 exams are challenging; practice exam helped me understand how to study and he gave us the page numbers to focus on. 2 big group papers - make sure you get into a good group of people who can research and write. Group project grading is tough - follow the rubric exactly!
Best teacher i have ever had. TAKE HIM.
He does not teach, just talks about random things. He has no respect for students and is very rude. He hires a TA to do all grading.
Professor Keyani is very reasonable and nice; he cares about the students and want them to succeed. He is hardworking and great with email and office hours. The class is relatively challenging but, he is there for you if you are not lazy, gives opportunities for the hardworking students to pass w/ a good grade. WOULD TAKE HIM AGAIN!
Among the best I have seen at CSUN. I'm one of his fans, I think he does a great job.
Professor is good. He puts effort into his lessons. Gives good study guides for the exams, curves, and gives extra credit. The group assignments are a big part of the class and a toss up as always depending on your group. His GA graded the projects and she was not very good, that was the part I didn't like. She wasn't even a marketing major.
Overall great prof. & great class. Enjoyed it and learned a lot.
Genuinely did not enjoy the course. It was completely self-study with little to no input from the professor. Walk into exams thinking you know what you're doing and somehow end up doing horribly. He took off points on our projects and could not remember or identify why he did so. Overall horrible experience.
This class involves two major group projects that are worth 30% of your grade, you are in the same group for both the projects so be sure you get a good group. The professor is very strict and he'll come off as rude but he's very approachable and gives you every opportunity to get a good grade. Tests are though, you really need to read the book.
I took this course with another prof. and retook with him. He is very organized:one thing I liked the most was that you know from the first week what to expect throughout the semester. Course is hybrid so be ready to read! Exam 1 is tough but the other two are manageable. He knows the material really well and provides very reasonable support.
Great guy; approachable and helpful. Mucho better than most profs I have seen here. Take him!
If you are taking the hybrid course, you need to read the whole book. His lectures barely touch the surface of the material that will on the exams. If you don't like to read, you will fail, guaranteed. The professor is good, but this is mainly a self-taught course.
He is frankly one of the most caring professors I have seen, ever! He wants his students to succeed. One thing is guaranteed, you will learn big time in this class. It is a tough class by design with quite a bit of writing, but you are not in high school anymore... right? I wish I could have taken more courses with him. He's AMAZING!!
Over 120 students in the class and not a single student got A. His exams are difficult, two group projects that are graded by his GA and they worth 30%. Unlike other 304 mkt professors, he dont curve.
ACED IT! I feel I achieved something big and learned a lot! He is by far one of the best professors I have taken at CSUN. He is very knowledgeable and a great communicator. PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT HE SAYS IN CLASS AND IN EMAILS! He provides extra credit and curves. His lectures touch on what you usually see on the exams. Would definitely recommend.
Took the class last semester and just saw my grade, his class is AMAZING!! You get to learn so much if you pay attention and read. I would highly recommend his class. Don't miss class and make sure to keep up with the readings to do well in exams and quizzes. Get the right team for your paper, you can pick your team members. Overall, awesome class.
I wish all proferssors would be just like him. He knows what he is talking about. He gives study guide before each test. There is no excuse to not get an A in this class. I regret that i did not study well for the first exam. I would have ended up with an A. TAKE HIM !!
I had marketing 304 with him and I can say the best class I had ever! The only thing is group project! You have to make sure you have a good group even if you dont just communite with him and dont worry about your grade!
Class consists of three exams. Gives topics to review before each exam. Reading the text is helpful. Group paper, nothing to be intimidated about. You have to pick your group members. 2 Wall Street Journal responses and online quizzes prior to exams. The class is straight forward.
One of the easiest class I've taken at CSUN. There is 3 exams. The hardest one is the first test. He gives out study guide before each exam. Make sure to read the book and take good notes on the study guide terms and you'll do great. He also curved all 3 exams. There is no final!!!
Make sure your group mates are trustworthy and reliable. Professor gives study guides and is easy to follow very straight forward. Be honest with him and give him respect and he will give the same back. Curves Exams.
He's a really nice guy, he's not there to be dealing with bs so be respectful. Gives study guides for all 3 exams. STUDY! Choose your group wisely (for real). He is not a hard grader when it comes to the papers, but do your best. He curves, so you got this! READ THE BOOK. You are going to enjoy the class (trust me)
3 midterms, a 2-part group project and a couple smaller assignments. Make sure you study well for the first test! (it is worth 25% of your grade). Not the best teacher, as his lectures aren't great and he also scoffs at, or dismisses, almost all questions from the class. Curves some tests/assignments, but can't count on it.
Totally enjoyed the class and switched my major to marketing. Just read the book and pay attention to lectures. You need a good group or your grade will suffer. He is very organized and has pretty good knowledge of what he teaches. He is nice but not a big fan of BS ... overall great expeiene..
Great class and prof. curves, gives extra credit and cares. Just beware of pop quizses
Such a great professor and such an easy class! There are 2 group assignments so get a good group. SHOW UP TO CLASS because he gives pop quizzes but as long as you do them, you get 100%. He gives exam guides for every exam and its so helpful bc you do not need to read the entire textbook, just his exam guide which are most terminology
Its an easy class you can get an easy A on your own work. The only thing that can bring down your grade is the group projects, there are two. Test are easy as long as you do the study guide. There isn't any homework really, but he does have pop quizzes so don't miss a class. There are quizzes due before the day of the exam and those are book based.
Keyani is very arrogant. Sitting in his class, You will no doubt feel like you are in high school again. The group project assigned is a big task so pick a good group. This professor is not that great but you can easily pass. He is not approachable at all so do not count on him for help. He will scare you with pop quizzes but they are no big deal.
Very good can caring professor; you will learn a lot in this class. Just make sure you have the right peple in your group. Prof. will take quizzes in class sometimes, they are very easy. Wish he taught more classes...
Easy to get a good grade. Just read the book and follow what he says and you will be fine. Get a good group and don't skip class. His exams are mostly from his lectures and the guides he gives before the exam. He curves if the averages are low. Overall, great class.
Amazing professor! For the exams following the study guide he gives and you will Ace it. I would suggest to get the book from vital source so you can track the answers faster. There are two big writing assignment and they are done in groups, make sure you get into a good group! Lastly, for the quizzes, all the answers are online.
The class is very straight forward. There are two group project papers and a few tests. If you study the study guide terms he gives, the tests are really easy to pass. He didn't take attendance but sometimes there were really easy pop quizzes during class.
Keyani is very understanding and approachable. He curved all exams, including the final. The lectures are good, but as long as you study the study guide terms, then you don't realistically need to attend. Hardest part is the group work, you have 2 group papers each 16 pages, so have a good team. He only graded 3 Exams, 2 papers, and 3 pop quizzes.
Please make sure you do good on your 1st exam because it is worth 20% itself. I didn't do well on my first exam but then I ended up A'sing midterm and Final, but that did not help much, because they are only 17% of your grade. But he is one of the best professors at CSUN. I do recommend taking him.
Sean is a really great professor for Marketing class. Everything is set on the canvas and you just need to follow the schedule every week. Try to get a great group members and ace on the papers. I am glad for having this professor.
Best proffesor ever! straight to the point. Can be intimidating, but he's very straightforward. 3 tests, pop quizzes, article reviews, 2 group papers (16 pages) but fairly easy when you split the work. Easy A if you put in the work.
One of the best profs I have seen. Easy to get a good grade if you pay attention to his directions. There are no surprises in this class, everything is clear and you know it from the beginning. Get a good group and you will be fine.
He knows how what he is doing and his lectures are very interesting but relatively short because the class is short. He does a good job. The only thing I would change is the group project which is a lot of work and in my case was with people who don't care.
Terrible Grading system only 2 tests and each test is 12 chapters of studying and tested on. Professor is ok but he doesn't care about if you pass the class or not, I hope he will curve the exams because they are real hard and its a lot to accumulate.
The exams are very difficult. Perhaps he can curve since not alot of people are doing well in the class.
Had to drop the course for personal reasons but, wanted to leave my notes here... everything in the class is aligned and very organized and will help you do good on the exams and papers. He gives exam guides and his lectures are great. Exams could be though if you did not do the homework and ignored his guidelines. Will retake for sure...
Professor doesn't explain well and he skips alot of information each class. His tests are challenging and the group projects are the worse he is a very tough grader regarding papers. Overall I wouldn't recommend him for any business student major and he DOES NOT CURVE! So all these comments here are false about him curving. Take someone else.
Better than others for this course, his exam guides are very helpful and grades fine. Just be aware of pop quizzes and do the online work, which is essentially reading the textbook online and 2 quizzes.
Impressive curving, exam guides and lectures. Just get a good group and you will be OK. Wish had a better team, lost some points on the papers because I did not pick the right people for the group.
professor Sean is really nice he try to help the students he curved the exam which helped alot of people out hes very nice person. I dont speak good English so it help me alot . thank you professor Sean
Professor Keyani is the best professor! I learned a lot in his class about marketing. His tests are everything he talks about. The class is heavy with work, but he gives you a lot of time to complete the assignments. Visit his office hours and he will work with you to make your paper better. I didn't work as hard, but an A is very possible.
If you have to fave fun class, take him! His class is an easy A. Prior to exam, he gave out study guide, as long as you study accordingly it is an easy A. Also there is group project and assignment online.
Hes ok but not great, u need a good group to pass this class or else you will not get a good grade. first exam was hard but second exam not so much if you study good. overall I wouldn't recommend his class if u have the chance to take another professor go for it. 2 exams and 2 papers with alot of assignment online and pop quizzes in class
Great professor and great class! I would highly recommend. Learned a lot and totally enjoyed it.
Professor Keyani, is very specific on what to expect for the papers. You get to choose your group so choose wisely. Exams are pretty easy and he gives you the study guide on what the test will consist of. HW was a lot in the beginning of the semester but he reduced the amount of questions so that helped. 2 exams,2 quizzes,17 hw assignments,2papers
Professor Keyani handles large classes very well. A lot of work is assigned but if you keep up, it's not hard to pass with an A. Two group projects which are very fairly graded, one midterm & one final. He gives study guides. Learned a lot in his class & would recommend.
Class was ok and professor didnt seem to care for students or grades. Two 16 page group papers that are graded hard and 2 exams which the second one was easy for me but still received a 69% somehow. A lot of homework with smart books. Only reason to show up to class is for attendance + in class quizzes that really hurt you. Dont recommend at all.
Gives really good lectures and grades fairly, the workload is high but, you can manage and he is very supportive and caring. Easy A if you pay attention to the lectures and study. Curves grades and gives exam guides; just be sure to get a good group. I would highly recommend him!
Professor Keyani is awesome! He is tough, but fair and really cares about his students. His lectures are really interesting, even for a Saturday morning class :) Make sure you chose a really good group- the essays will really impact your grade. His exams are simple and he does give exam guides in class- so attendance is important.
The assignments are fairly easy, just time-consuming. you will have 2 projects that will all depend on your team motivation and contribution. Lectures are interesting, the test has an exact reflection of the study guide but you need to study it well. besides the group project, the rest is good. he makes you work for your grade. Kind and helpful.
His homework & tests are fairly easy as long as you really study the info on study guides. He's very strict with attendance, tardiness, & disruptions and can be very rude about it too. If you can handle that then, the rest of the class is fine. You have a midterm, final, & 2 group papers & bunch of online assignments(easy). Get into good groups!!
EASY CLASS! he is a great professor with a lot of passion so just show up on time and don't be rude. he gives EASY pop quizzes to people who are on time to class. HW is on connect which is tedious but super easy. 2 tests that are easy/borderline common sense marketing scenarios. 2 group papers that are essentially your grade.
Sean really is an amazing professor. You will learn a lot of things about marketing around the world. Quizzes, smart study, exams, and written assignments are easy A. If you are willing to study hard for exams, so you can get A. However, group projects are strict for grading. Importantly, you choose right and motivated people for group project.
Class is okay if you are interested in cars and like being talked down to. He was not sympathetic with grading at all due to the COVID situation. He forces participation, but then gives attitude when you ask questions. I am a straight A student and received a B because I missed an in-class pop quiz due to a family emergency. Pick a good group!
He's very nice understanding , fair & does t like procrastination & disrespect. Sean treats class like a professional setting and I like that. Just show up prepared and listen to what he says and you're good on the exams etc. For the group projects, get a good group or you 'll have trouble getting A . Loved the class and highly recommend him.
Great lectures with interesting examples from marketing aroudn the world. Exams are easy with guides but you need to know the matarial. Find the right people for your group and be ready to learn and you will get an A. He is organized and clear about expactations too. TAKE HIM!
He's a good teacher. Don't be late to class even if it's online because he will call you out.
All these positive reviews are misleading. There is no chance of scoring an A in this class because of the difficulty of the quizzes and exams coupled with the harsh grading of his essays. The individuals who claim to have gotten A's must be in the top 1% of students. Take a different teacher.
Guys it is not a is A class
You will lean a lot and need to work on assignments some very easy and some harder. His exams are easy and group projects are average work. Would take him again.
Very good overall... be sure to get into a good group and you will be fine; I didn't and my grade will suffer... other than that, everything else is good. He's good... does not watch you through webcam while you take his exams and this is great. His lectures are interesting and you want to attend class for at least for the quizzes.
Gives feedback and does not waste your time with breakout rooms etc in class. His lectures are easy to understand and have good info. You need to work for the grade but I think its worth it.
I have an online class with this professor. Professor Keyani is one of the amazing professors at CSUN. He is very caring and helps students to get a good result. Attendance is not 100% mandatory, but if you do not attend may be, you will lose points. It has 2 group projects but everything is obvious. Homework is clear and easy as well. Great prof.
Very organized, you always know what to expect. stay on top of the work and you should be fine. Very basic business, doesn't actually go deep into the application of what's on the book.
Professor Sean Keyani is strict in grading but overall he is a great instructor. Be ready to read chapters as his test are straight from there and also from lectures. Two big group projects, Situational Analysis and a Marketing Plan. Make sure you choose the right team as you work with the same for both papers. All assignments are graded heavy.
Massive legend, gives extra credit, caring, uses good examples, and not too difficult.
EASY! Make sure to get into a good group and you will be fine. The tests are really easy and straightforward but it is only 1.1 min per question (53 questions per exam) so there is no time for searching. You either know or you don't. He is nice but boring. Be aware of the pop quizzes that can drop your grade to an F (questions like what is my name)
I really enjoyed taking Prof Keyani. He was super helpful and always easy to reach. There are 2 group projects that weigh heavy on your grade, but he was always available for help and feedback. He definitely tried everything he could to make sure his students do well. Tests were a bit hectic but doable. Very fair grader. Just do the required work
Hes the goat
group projects, a lot of homework, and hard tests. he's a good teacher tho
He is a very nice and caring Professor. Only complaint is he would often go over the alluded time for class lecture. You do have to purchase the online access code for assignments but they are all easy to get 100%. I don't have any complaints. Beware he does assign a pop quiz at some point in the semester!!!
This professor is the most caring, organized, patient, knowledgeable professor at csun. He curved the first exam, gave few extra credits opportunities, gave a study guide. Homework is time consuming but you have to do it. Overall, it was a very good class. Just show up and participate because he give extra credit quizzes snd they add up
unpopular opinion i guess, puts you in groups with 2 major group projects that make up a majority of your grade so if you get a bad group, you're screwed. the hw and test are a "premade class service" so you can find most answers online (quizlet, chegg) - doesnt matter anyways since hw and tests aren't worth much, overall did not like this course
Frankly, the best professor ... take him! He's very knowledgeable and you learn a lot. Just get a good group or you'll have problems. You need to earn the grade; curves the grades, is very helpful and nice. I've nothing negative to say, great experience.
Sean has a condescending vibe, but the class is hard to fail. You have two group papers, the second one is easier since it builds on the first. He doesn't actually read them. You can pick your group which is good. Weekly HW and a few simple writing assignments. Lectures are useless. Final is not cumulative. He curves which is nice.
Saturday class, Not bad! pretty straight forward .as someone mention group assignments are the worst I had a bad group which hurt my grade. I emailed him about this and he just said sorry. If you want a good grade you might end up doing the group assignments on your own. Good Luck
Unlike other professors, lets you pick your group by a deadline, which is nice. If you don't, he'll assign you to one which is not great. It's crazy how patent he is with explaining topics and HW/papers. Extremely organized and he expects you to be organized. Most lectures are very engaging; he knows how to do that. Liked it, would highly recommend
Group work for 2 papers. Uses McGraw for homework and quizzes. Wall Street Journal assignments are about 4 questions for a short article. Lectures are interesting and keeps class engaged. 1 midterm, 1 final.
He is a very good professor. The homework was a little annoying as it took a really long time to complete, but overall the class was engaging. He is very organized and seems to really care about your experience in the class. He WILL help you if you reach him after class and is actually very useful when you have questions.
This Professor treats his little marketing class more serious than any of my other classes I took throughout my life! I never knew marketing required so much unnecessary assignments.. when I know for a fact other marketing teachers aren't like this one avoid him!
He's patient (seriously!) and approachable cares about you when others dont' seem to. Group papers are a ton of work, so get a good group and start early. Curves exams and will work with you if you don't have a false sense of entitlement. Good lectures and learned a lot, would recommend for grown ups.
Pretty good and organized, better than most classes I took here. someone said good for grown-ups. I agree. Grades fairly. Not the right class and prof. if you are stuck in your teenage years and want to nag, whine and cry and make everyone around you miserable (had one in my group!). He helps a lot and works with you if U R not lazy.
The class itself is easy. There is 2 group projects, both are normal level difficulty. With a good group you can get an easy A.
Professor Keyani is pretty clear in what is expected in order to get a good grade. You do have a group project which deals with research but you are told where to find resources and information. I think the most important part is to get yourself a good group in this class. Exams, homework, and the class in general are pretty straight forward.
Horrible professor, don't take him if you want an A. He does not help whatsoever.
Be sure to get a good group and you'll be fine. He's fair and inspiring, curves, and helps the class. Interesting lectures and style of teaching. Would highly recommend him. I returned to school after years and really enjoyed this class.
He's a bit condescending. I would not recommend this professor if you want someone caring and not intimidating. Lectures are based on textbook and if you have a bad group, you're screwed.
One great thing about his class is that you see all the assignments from the beginning and plan. It's overwhelming in the beginning but helped me a lot. He's clear about what he expects: no hidden stuff to surprise you later. Lets you pick your group and helps a lot. Need to do your part for a good grade and he's supports the class pretty well.
It's medium difficulty class but it's lots of work. The lectures are to the point do not make you depressed. online portion is easy to figure out. Hes friendly but not too agreeable that you feel he's not even there. I like that he does not let others push you around in a group. Two group papers with peer reviews' and and 2 straightforward exams.
He is so understanding about everything and works with students to make sure that they get what they need, and he will do anything he can to make sure he can help. The class is all lectures and attendance quizzes do happen occasionally. A LOT of homework, but it helps you understand the concepts better. 1 32 page group paper split into 2 parts.
Keyani is a really good lecturer, he gets the class involved and there are a lot of discussions. Attendance is highly encouraged as he has little assignments due at the end to give points to those who shows up. There are two papers and a decent amount of hw assignments. He is always there to answer any questions or concerns.
Professor keyani is by far the best professor Ive ever had at CSUN! His class is extremely organized and engaging. If youre serious about your education and dont want to just cheat your way through college , take this course. The paper is difficult but educational. Groups are important!! 10/10 would recommend over anyone else.
TAKE COURSES WITH THIS PROFESSOR! He seems intimidating the first few weeks of class but the more you come to class, you will enjoy it. He is a really good lecturer and funny. Class is never boring, there is a lot of homework, but free points he gives you if you show up to class. He knows how to take constructive criticism to better his course!
Professor Keyani is one of the best lecturers I have come across at CSUN. He gets the students engaged and is very accommodating because he knows we are all busy individuals. This class made me want to listen to his lectures. I highly recommend if you are willing to put in the effort and work. People who dislike this course tend to be slacking.
Professor Keyani is very engaging and he's really awesome to listen to. All his lectures are really interesting. Homework is very tedious, but helps you prepare for exams. Overall, amazing professor but you need to put in effort if you want a good grade. Make sure you have a good group too because they grade hard on the group papers. He also curves
2 exams, 2 group papers, a few short assignments, and multiple long smartbooks (hated but do help with the exams). I put a 4 in difficulty bc this class relies on group projects which I hate with a passion. He is super accessible and gives you many resources to help with your paper, he makes participation fun, and you can tell he likes to teach.
Professor Keyani was a great professor! His lectures were always interesting and he kept them engaging (at least for me). Two group papers, make sure you start on them early and don't procrastinate since all parts of the paper connect to each other. A lot of homework and online quizzes too. There were also two extra credit assignments.
Professor Sean Keyani is very funny and his classes aren't boring at all. He does have a weird policy where you only can use laptops in the first four rows but besides that all his other policies are fair. You get to pick your own group for the entire semester so make sure you group up with people you know will do their work. GREAT CLASS!
Professor Keyani was great: he knows his subject and ready to answer any questions you have. The course was pretty interesting. However, there are two group projects and those are insane. Make sure you choose a good group because those papers are graded really tough. Start those projects asap so you have enough time to ask questions.
If you want an easy A do not take this class. There are two group projects so definitely pick a good group!! I picked a random group which did not go well for me. His lectures are great very engaging. He does take attendance in the first half of the semester, easy points. First exam worth more than the final.
The best BUS/MKT professor. Fun, engaging, & knows what he is talking about. He really wants the best for students, so he is lenient with outside life things, grade mishaps, etc. MKT304 is a heavy class, assignments are big and can difficult but not because of him. Uses "connect" so those assignments due, w/ 2 exams and 2 big projects with groups.
Very nice professor, Lectures are engaging. Will take attendance randomly by doing a very easy pop quiz, One group paper that is divided into two sections. Make sure you get good group members. HW can be kinda lengthy, but is easy, very similar to test questions. Can seem scary at first but he is very good, definitely recommend.
Amazing professor. Class in not too difficult but he is a cool professor.
He does random one question pop-quizzes and if you happen to be absent or in the restroom during the quiz he gives you a zero. I missed one quiz and it dropped my grade 8%. Ridiculous.
Great discussions and lecture; curves the exams and wants you to succeed. The class straightforward; pop quizzes are easy points that helps you boost your grade.
I had this class in the evening. I am an early bird, I thought it would be hard for me to pay attention in this class. But Professor Keyani made all lectures very interesting. He gave group projects (you can pick people if you could not do it, he will pick people for you). It is basically 2 papers. Having a good group is the key! Take him!
Professor Sean Keyani's Class is not boring. although he may seem strict at first, he's laid-back and patient. It's a lot of work, but we're here to learn. His lectures are well-structured and informative, and if you pay attention, you'll learn marketing. Despite his intimidating demeanor, he cares about his students. Love his class and his cute
One of the few professors at CSUN that I genuinely liked. He appears stern at the start of the semester, but is actually very laid back. His lectures are interesting and he makes an effort to finish class early. He gives random pop quizzes, but credit is mainly based on attendance rather than accuracy. Homework is easy and a little time consuming.
Good professor. Cares about what he teaches and is very clear. Makes an effort to let us out early and is not as strict as he seems. He tries to be hard at times but then chills out. 32 page group paper due at the end and ATTENDANCE MATTERS A LOT. Pop quizzes very frequently. Overall good and is definitely better than most professors.take him trust
If you take his 3-hour night class, he tends to let you out early. (Recommend). It will impact your grade if your absent and miss a quiz, even just once! There are three WSJ writing assignments and the group marketing project. If you attend class regularly and do all the homework, you should have no problem getting a B or even an A in his class.
His class is easy if you follow him. The best professor I have ever had.
Good professor. Interesting lectures. Lets class out early. Takes random attendance for points. Large group project, of 32 pages over course of semester with 16 pages due around mid way through. It's not difficult, but if you get a crappy group like I did, you end up doing it all yourself. Exams are straight forward, but not easy. Hard to get A.
Its a good chunk of work. It's online which is great. dont take it in person not needed. he's a good professor and answers back quickly. I would recommend taking. But its a little bit of work for an easy A
Professor Keyani is amazing person, and I loved his class. His lectures are very engaging, and I always looked forward to them. There is one group paper that is pretty straightforward, but find classmates who are willing to put in the effort.
Professor Keyani is incredible! He truly puts the time and effort to ensure every student understands what is going on. His weekly lectures went by so fast because he was not boring. Grades consist of 2 exams, 2 papers(group), and smartbook activities(which are easy but dreadful). Only complaint is that if you miss a class it drops you down a lot.
Class is filled with work just to keep you busy. Work is not difficult, neither are the exams or papers. He takes his lectures very seriously, if you walk out while he's talking he would most likely call you out in front of the whole class. Funny at times, just make sure you knock out the work early so you can focus on your other courses.
Shows up with positive attitude and is willing to take each and every question, even after the class. Something that most professors don't anymore. His lectures are clear and related to the exams. Just don't nap or play on your laptop in class. Great professor; would recommend.
Great teacher. 2 Exams, 2 Group Papers 10 pgs each. Pick a good group and it will be easy. He's chill but WILL call u out for having a computer open or picking out empty seats if u show up late. As long as you go to lecture/listen you wont have any problems. HW thru smartbook, 40 min each chapter, usually 4 at a time.
If you're taking the asynchronous business course get ready for the McGraw Hill readings and tests they are very long. Overall this course was not bad at all very doable and a fairly easy class you will need to pay for a couple of cases.
Pretty solid! He's funny and pretty chill, but he requires you to sit in the front if you want to use a device for note-taking. SmartBook homework assignments are due every 4 weeks usually about 4 chapters each time. Find a good group because there are 2 papers (the 2nd adds onto 1st) you will do as a group. 1 Midterm & Final. Not cumulative
Engaging lectures and a chill professor. Mandatory attendance, but worth it - the material is straightforward, and unstuck ai can be a great study aid. Just stay off your devices in class.
Firstly, keep in mind that this is a business CORE class, its effectively general education but he acts like we're at Harvard learning quantom physics. In big classes you can only use your laptop in the first 4 rows. Randomly takes attendance, with a quiz at the end of class. just take a different professor; group projects
Great professor who makes the class worth your time and effort. The material is useful and well-organized, and you actually feel like you're getting something out of it. Just stay on top of the work, get a good group and pay attention in class—it's definitely not a waste!
Honestly, really nice guy. Class might be a little boring but he's a good person
He is a very good and organized professor. Attendance is checked randomly, and I recommend to attend since it's graded. There is a group paper which is not bad at all but make sure to have a good group that works well.
One of the best professors I've had! His class is challenging but fair. If you put in the effort, you'll definitely learn a lot and get a good grade. Pick the right people for your group, you cannot fire groupmates. Overall would highly recommend!
Class was boring but the work was easy. The only thing I warn you is to get a good group for the project. It takes up the whole semester, and if you have people that are lazy and procrastinators, and cannot get their work done it will make the class annoying for you putting a 32 page paper on your head. One midterm and one final.
Professor Keyani is awesome he explains things clearly and uses real world examples to make the material interesting. His classes are well organized & helpful. just be ready to work in groups it can be tough if everyone doesn't pull their weight. If you put in the effort you'll learn a lot and do well in his class. Highly recommend!
Do not take him, his classes are like military base always picking on people, quizzes in class for lectures that u just took, so if you are tired or have any part time job quit ur job for his class, forget full time job. He is not helpful at all. So harsh. U will get Marketing major in one class. He is just exaggerating.
I had to drop this class due to my work hours changing. I really liked it and plan to take it next semester. Everything is organized from the start, doesn't allow chaos in class- and brings in current topics that maks discussions very interesting. Beware of pop quizzes, but he grades them easy. Highly recommended.
He occasionally gives easy pop quizzes to monitor attendance. He is strict about the rules he sets for his students but is excellent at teaching and clearly explains the material. As long as you turn in assignments on time and follow the grading guidelines, earning an A shouldn't be difficult.
so knowledgeable and his lectures are amazing. probably my favorite professor I've had at CSUN so far. disregard all the negative reviews, they have no idea what they're talking about
He is understanding and cares for his students. Wants you to attend all class sessions-pop quiz randomly, full credit received if you attend. Group project paper -you need to pick wisely on team members because it can be graded quite harshly if his TA thinks it doesn't meet the rubric. Good curve on exam. every assignment is due at 6pm not 11:59pm.
you gotta pay to access homework, quizzes, and the book which sucked. you will have a LOT of assignments and he grades relatively meticulously when it comes to case studies. most assignments are homework and quizzes which are super easy if you read the assigned chapters. case studies are like mini reports and can be time consuming if you want an A.
He's a tough grader on case assignments, but does make exceptions. Attendence is sometimes monitor with using kahoot and writing activities. Curves if needed, and does have extra credit. Last thing pick a good group wisely.
