He'll give lots of extra credit but it doesn't mean anything at the end of class. He tries to make it feel like you'll do well so when the evaluation comes, you'll be nice to him. Very intelligent, funny, and kind instructor. Not many people enjoy stats but he makes the learning process easy and bearable. Highly recommend taking stats with him :)

Fantastic teacher. Funny, kind, and engaging. Passionate about the topic, which is always a plus. You'll need to study before the exams, but as long as you do, you should be fine. The big project is fun and same thing, just follow the directions and you'll do fine. Wonderful professor and class!

Great professor, really helpful, somehow figures out how to make the most boring subject compelling and interesting.

Do not take statistics online; the material is too confusing and the majority of work that is assigned does not count towards your grade. Take Dr. Laraway in person if you can. He seems fair through email, but without teacher interaction this class is too difficult.

Dr. Laraway is a greater professor, but do not take his online class; take his class in person. Stats is difficult enough and learning through the online format is too difficult. Take him in person.

Professor Laraway is the most helpful stats teacher I know. I sucked at stats before his class. I know many students didn't like it but you need to take advantage of office hours or email meetings with him. He was more than willing to help. Udacity and piazza were great tools and assignments were great. Get to know him, he's cool
