His lectures could feel like 75 minutes free-association rants but he always managed to work in the material he wanted the class to learn. I took his online class at Harper, and it wasn't too difficult. All you have to do is watch short videos, read the chapters (you'll end up reading the entire text book), and take four tests. The first day he told us that a C grade was a good grade in his class. He also told the class that you needed to know the material so well that you could explain it to a friend and they would be able to get an A or you wouldnt pass. Pretty full of himself for a community college professor teaching an introductory course.

Do NOT take him!! He is a very smart guy - he knows his stuff but he should not be teaching. He goes on rants that are not correlated to lecture. Leaves you to figure it out yourself for a 101 class. no guidance, tests were confusing and so was he. best 3/4 exams and a paper. He said people average a C for a 101 class which should be unacceptable.

The class is much more difficult than necessary. The textbooks are $70 dollars for an online code and grades are based on three tests and one essay. Most every student receives C or D grades and no one receives As. While Professor Noonan is a very intelligent teacher, lectures are often off topic discussions about drugs and left side politics.

He's the best! his lectures are long but worth it. you will have to read the textbook in order to pass the class. he doesn't give out many assignments, you just have to read! pretty down to earth person.

This class is more difficult than it needs to be. Noonan lectures on any random topic that he feels like and does not prepare students for the test. For someone who claims to care about community college students, who have jobs and other stresses in their life, he makes little effort to teach. Better off skipping his lectures and reading the book.

I'll never forget this man. Amazing lecturer, loved Sonic Youth and The White Album. My heart goes out to his family. Rest in peace and thanks for leaving an impact on me during my freshman year in college.
