Sean is the best math teacher I've ever had. He is so enthusiastic and passionate about math that he makes it interesting. Wish I could have him teach all of my math classes.

I took four math classes with Sean: 95, 111, 242 & 243. He is an awesome math teacher. He made me laugh and brought out my passion for math with his enthusiasm for the subject. He loves to answer questions and would bend over backwards to help his students succeed. A+ for Sean!

This guy is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He is always so encouraging and so helpful no matter if your the best in the class or worst. Everyone should take math from him!

I have been lucky to have wonderful math teachers, but Sean is the best! As a non-traditional student I was REALLY worried about math but with his skill, passion and humor I excelled in his class. He makes you feel smart. You gotta love a teacher that gets told to quite down by another teacher!

I started out in Mth 10 and worked my way up. I got through with A's and B's. When I finally took Sean for math 95; it honestly finally "clicked" for me. Sean truly wants his students to succeed and gives every opportunity with extra credit, make up point on exams, and optional quizzes. He has tons of energy. This is how every teacher should teach!

Sean has been the best teacher I have ever had out of all my General Ed classes even coming from CA. Great sense of humor, loves what he teaches and makes the class more enjoyable than my own major oriented classes. If any teacher deserves a substantial raise its this guy!

Needs a text besides crappy one. You can use it online free, but don't buy it. He is trying to get an online class developed - forget it. His lectures are put on YouTube as a series of about 10 or more short ones per 2 hour class. I don't know how you review for tests without having to watch the entire 4 or 5 classes before each test.

He is super brilliant and absolutely loves everything he teaches, he makes everything interesting and is always there to help you with everything you need, and then some.

Sean is probably the best teacher I have had in my 3 years of college. This dude can teach! He can take a subject like statistics and make you love it. Awesome guy who is always there for help. There is plenty of work, but if you just attend class you will pass with flying colors. Highly recommend taking any of his classes!

A standard ruler measures inches and centimeters. A Sean Ruler measures total freakin' awesomeness!! Sean Rule is quite possibly the greatest professor alive. I would not be surprised if a statue of Sean is constructed in every country on the planet. He is a truly inspirational person, and is a delight to be around. Sean rules!

I cried my way through math 105, and laughed my way through stats. I LOVED going to class. Sean is amazing, and lives for his students. He treats us like we are all amazing. His greatest joys, are our accomplishments. His energy is contagious. Also, every lecture is posted online for us to go back and refer to. You totally RAWK, Sean!

By far the best teacher on campus, loves his job and you can tell, amazingly smart and helpful. He doesn't stop when you leave the class, will always be a mentor and confidant!

Awesome teacher that really helps students a lot! He'll work side-by-side with you to solve the problems. Very excitable and hysterical. Some in class "quizzes", but they're all pretty easy. Neat, relatable stories to the math topics and super knowledgeable about ALL math. Amazing man and wonderful professor!

I'm honestly surprised COCC has an instructor the caliber of Sean Rule. He is an incredible educator. Funny, personable, & knowledgeable. Take any class with him, show up, and you'll enjoy learning math. Optional weekly homework. Mandatory weekly at-home quiz, which sometimes is done as a group in class. A few at-home tests.

There is a reason that Sean's class our wait-listen within minutes. I find it hard to believe COCC could find a teacher on the level of Rule. Just take his class. Take it, and you won't ever want to take anyone else. Actually, it will ruin your college career. Maybe don't.

Such an awesome professor! I figured 243 would be really challenging, but I would take it again with Sean because he made the concepts so easy to understand. Love how he creates the tests and projects. I actually wanted to go to his class. He makes everything relate to the real world which was cool too.

I really hope COCC knows what they have with Prof. Rule, and they should pay him whatever it takes to keep him around. The man is simply beautiful. You know your instructor is going to be awesome when he walks into class barefooted the first day because he's got blisters from a hike. I took stats with another instructor and had to drop it because I just couldn't "get it". Sean sticks with application and makes learning easy. I was amped for an 8am class because of his energy. He RULES!

Sean freaking rocks. Literally, he's in a rock band outside of school. He LOVES his job and it shows, and makes class fun to attend and easy to learn from. Never thought I would like a math class half as much as I liked this one. Not to mention, he is super funny and applies math to real life. He basically lets you pick how much work you do, too.

There is a reason Sean Rule has a TON of good ratings. He truly is an amazing math professor. If you don't like math or don't think it's interesting, he'll change that for you. His classes remind you how math is useful in the real world. Just an all around likable person with more energy than you've ever seen in math.

He is an amazing teacher. Sean is very animated about his subject and is able to pass that on to his students. Does a great job explaining the topic.

Very Spunky. Super understanding when life is thrown at you, and is a very smart man. Can be fast paced at at times, but if you ask him to repeat something he will. His lectures are great, he is funny and has tons of stories, and has a great way of picturing the problems so anyone could understand. By far one of the best teachers at COCC.

What can a person say that hasn't already been said??? Probably not much. Sean is an amazing teacher when it comes to stats. He made it super easy to understand and if you don't get it, he is willing to work with you (but not give you the answer at the same time). Don't worry if he yells at you though, it's just because he's excited about math!

I will warn you that the work can creep up on you if you dont start it early but because he is so kind about grades he will give you more than enough work to make it up. as a self proclaimed procrastinator I can tell you that his class is perfect for me.

He's a really great teacher. I would recommend him to anyone needing to take a math class. He doesn't make you purchase a textbook and all his exams can be taken online at home. You need to show up to class everyday cause he creates his owns problems and builds off content from the material he made up.

I took Sean for math 105 and he was fantastic! His teaching style did not always adhere to my learning style. However, after spending time in the tutoring lab and communicating with him about it, the class was a breeze.

Sean came highly recommended to take as a math instructor and they were right. His class is enjoyable (and trust me, I don't enjoy math), his energy is infectious, and he creates a positive learning environment. If I had to take any more math classes, he'd definitely be the instructor I'd choose.

Sean is a superstar! My confidence in math has skyrocketed because of his 58, 98, and 105 sequence. Students who don't want to take 60, 65, etc, will find great success in his courses.

Sean is a very energetic person so that can be overbearing sometimes ADHD so he gets off topic sometimes. He is very passionate about math which carries into his lectures He really wants you to learn and doesnt want you to learn unecessary math I recommend this class and Sean for everyone even if the math is easy for you which it probably will be

This guys is amazing! If you struggle in math (or just hate it) take this class!!! He is super clear in what he expects and also the most entertaining professor at cocc. He truly cares for his students and makes it very easy for all to get an A in his class. You still have to put in effort (as In any class) but its totally worth it.

I took his class when I was having the hardest time of my life and he really showed he cared and put all effort in to make sure I passed even with distractions from life. I am about a year and a half out of Sean's class but I felt inclined to return and confirm Sean is the best math prof I've ever had. Im currently moving along to Calculus 252 so I've been through my fair share of math profs. Yes, he conceptualizing math amazingly (all my math teachers do) BUT HIS TEACHING ABILITIES WITH EXCEED ALL EXPECTATIONS.

Sean is one of my all-time favorite teachers the work is there and it's challenging but he makes it so easy for you to reach out and he really wants you to learn. That is hard to find these days unlike some other profs (Hal Warshaw, Del Cornutt) He is funny engaging, and reasonable.

I don't even know where to start describing how amazing Sean is. He is hands down the best teacher I have had in my life. I have struggled with math for as long as I can remember, so I always go into a new math class already feeling defeated. Sean cured me of that!! He teaches in ways that help YOU learn, however that may be. 20/10 recommend.

Cant recommend him enough! I had the worst trimester of my life (family stuff) and he was so understanding. He explains labs and hw so well and I learned a lot. He helped me sm and I honestly think of him as a friend:)

I have had the worst experience with math thinking I would never be good at it until I took Seans class. He is incredibly passionate and excited about math. He has a beautiful aura and makes the most boring thing into an amazing learning experience. COCC, if you see this, give this man a raise. He is 100% the best teacher I've ever had.

I'm gonna save you some time, TAKE HIS CLASSES! You won't regret it. He is very approachable, easy to get a hold of (many office hours and responds quickly), and earnestly LOVES math. Most of our assignments were on personal life experiences, which showed his passion. If you reach out for help he will not let you fail, bc he desires your success.

Such a good teacher!! His assignments were sometimes hard to navigate, he used a lot of word problems that got confusing at times. He was very accessible, though. Great youtube videos explaining the concepts, and he’s a hilarious dude!

Do yourself a favor and take Sean Rule's class. I am horrible at math and I took his math 98 class in the Spring and got an a and even got a 103 on the final because he is so amazing at explaining things in another way that you can understand. There isn't enough room to explain how fantastic he is!! He gave me the confidence to tackle math!

I have never been super confident in math, and Professor Rule has made that change for the better. I was never afraid to ask questions in this class, he would respond to emails quickly, and he was so eager to help you learn. The assignments are fun, and he is so enthusiastic. THE best professor and educator I have had in my whole life.

If you love a prof. who knows what he's doing and hates the system like you take Sean Rule's math 105 class. He is hilarious and incorporates his ADD rabbit holes into the lectures. He also is super tech savvy and is open to you doing something that works better. His grading can be improved a small bit, but please for the love of all take his class

Sean's teaching style really clicked with me. The lectures are engaging, and he explains concepts clearly. While the class isn't a breeze, using tools like Unstuckstudy alongside the free textbook makes learning the material much more manageable.

Sean is such a wonderful math teacher. He will take the time to teach you what you need to know in whatever style it is that works best for you. He is not hard on if something is done in a different way than he taught it, in fact he emplores you to use what works best for you. If you don't get something, he will teach you in several different way.

He is an amazing instructor and even better human being!

Sean will break things down for you lower than step by step if he needs to and will do it with a smile on his face and care in his heart. the man is an absolute gem. He makes math fun and and something you look forward to. (be prepared, he is a little wild though. 11/10 prof.)
